Featured fighter Sullivan Baccam was on hand to meet fans and the Iowa Bikini girls assisted with a free raffle, awarding UFC 115 viewers with prizes that included tickets to Maximum Glory at the Val Air Ballroom on Friday, July 9.

In the weeks leading to UFC 115, Takedown Radio was selected by Cinemark Theaters, Fathom Entertainment, and Radio Tag to promote the event on TDR’s weekly radio program on KXNO 1460/Fox Sports and at takedownradio.com.

June 7, 2010- Des Moines, IA- MaxFightsDM/Glory Fighting Championship have enlisted the assistance of two of Iowa’s most popular media outlets to support the July 9 Maximum Glory event to be held at the Val Air Ballroom in West Des Moines. The twelve bout event features two title bouts where Eric “Little Lee” Wisely vs. Lonnie Scriven and where Benly Xamonty goes for the title against Brad “Bad Boy” Floyd.

Cityview, Central Iowa’s free independent weekly newspaper, is the official media sponsor of Maximum Glory and will produce a custom section in the publication placing focus on the event, it’s fighters, and the sport of mixed martial arts (MMA). Cityview has been published for 16 years and is read by over 70,000 people each week. “ MMA is increasingly growing in mass appeal and we feel it has reached the point where many of our diverse group of readers are interested. Also, “Iowa has lead that trend,” stated Cityview Publisher Shane Goodman. Readers will be able to learn more about the background of each of the fighters prior to seeing them compete at Maximum Glory.

MaxFightsDM/Glory FC, through a partnership with TakeDown Radio, will promote Maximum Glory at the Jordan Creek 20/Century Theatres during their showing of the UFC 115 event on Saturday, June 12. People attending the UFC 115 big screen, high definition event will be able to enter to win prizes, including free tickets to Maximum Glory. The UFC 115 main event puts UFC Hall of Famer Chuck “The Ice Man” Liddell against former UFC Middleweight Champion Rich “Ace” Franklin. The event begins at 9PM. People can begin registering to win prizes at 8PM. MaxFightsDM/Glory FC Ring Girls will be on hand to offer their assistance. TakeDown Radio, the highest rated weekend program on KXNO 1460/Fox Sports, was selected by Cinemark Theaters and Fathom Entertainment to provide promotion for the screening in this market and on a national level. “We’re thrilled to bring together TDR Radio and TV, MaxFightsDM/Glory FC, Cityview, and the Jordan Creek 20 to provide a wealth of entertainment and information”, offered TDR founder and host, Scott Casber.
