Unofficial Federations with less than 5 users

Starting from 27th of November all unofficial federations, created by users, with less than 5 members will receive a federation closing warning. If in the following week during the weekly check if the federation still has less than 5 users, it will be permanently closed and all material inside it will be deleted without any possibility of backup. All new federations will therefore have 2 weeks to obtain at least 5 users to stay open. We want to remind all federation creators to keep control of their board status to avoid unpleasant results.

Time zone problem

Due to a problem in the time zone assignment process, we had to reset all the users' time zones to that of their Nation. If you used a different time zone we request that you set the desired time zone again through the Options page.

Reduction of drop of skills for athletes over 28

From the announcement a few days ago you can see that the system of training will be tweaked in some of its key points in order to correct some economic and technical distortions. One of the consequences to be addressed will be a radical change of the drop in skills for athletes from 28 years upwards. Currently the drops randomly affect no more than one skill per week, and the drop increases in relation to the age of the athlete. From season 22 the decrease in skills will affect all the skills of an athlete, every week, but the drop will be lower, especially in the early years of decline. The average decreases (weighted on all the skills of an athlete) will be about 50% lower between 28 and 30 years old, about 40% lower between 31 and 35 years old, about 30% lower between 36 and 40 years old and so on. The competitive life of an athlete will increase, with the affect of reviving the Masters' sector, athletes that often had difficulty finding space in the club rosters after rapidly losing competitiveness when turning 28. The new system of losing skills will be activated starting season 22. To clarify the direction in which Maxithlon is moving, we will write more news in the coming weeks and seasons. Please, don't focus on one change at a time, but instead look at all of the changes as a whole.
