He is growing slowly but we are finally starting to gain weight and fit into our newborn clothes. So proud of my baby! He has also stopped his breathing treatments and is doing wonderful!! We are finally starting to get the hang of this!!!

Sunday Fun Day

2012-05-24T13:23:00.000-04:00

It's almost summer and the weather here has been gorgeous lately. Every chance we get we are taking full advantage of the great outdoors, and playing hard. These pictures were how we spent our Sunday the other week, and it was a blast. Another happy go luckly Cawley family day!

Saturday morning Hike

2012-05-24T13:16:00.002-04:00

Maycie will soon be attending the Chippewa Nature Center preschool and since we are members at our local nature center we often go on Hikes. Now that mommy is a bit more recovered we got right back to it. It was a gorgeous warm day and we all enjoyed getting out and being active:)

Random Carnival

2012-05-24T13:12:00.000-04:00

One week here in Midland, Maycie pointed out that there was a Carnival. Wasn't totally sure what she was talking about, but sure enough there it was. How could we resist. We went one night and had the best time ever, and so did she. Nothing is better than making your child so happy that she grins from ear to ear and tells you how much she loves you.

Tobin slept through the whole thing. Sweet little boy :)

My little Girl is 3 yrs. Old

2012-05-24T13:08:00.001-04:00

This year for Maycie's Birthday we didn't go all out. Frankly mommy didn't have the time or the energy since Tobin was only 1 month old. However Grandma and Grandpa Parrott stopped by for an impromptu visit and G.G. was able to hop along for the ride. So I whipped up a cake and we ordered some of Maycie's favorite pizza and had a great time. As you can see the first present she opened was a new baby bikini, and that was what she wore for the rest of the day!! On her actual Birthday we had a lunch/playdate with a few friends and she had a blast. Overall Maycie turning 3 was a big success. Next yr. we will have a big bash!!

My Mother's Day

2012-05-24T12:53:00.002-04:00

My Mother's Day wasn't as leisurely as we had planned it out to be, but it is so hard not to just sit back and be so thankful for this gorgeous family I have. We had a lovely (hectic) afternoon with a picnic in the yard. I really am such a lucky mommy!

I made it through another week and I'm still standing!!

2012-05-24T12:29:00.002-04:00

Bedtimes at our house have turned into a bit of a struggle with Tobin just finishing up a bottle, maycie needing stories, everyone needing a bath etc. So we finally found a balance and everyone gets to read stories in Maycie's bed. That way they are both happy :) and totally cute!

We also made some special Mother's Day/Birthday gifts for Grandma Parrott and Grandma Cawley..read some more books during breakfast, did some smiling, spoon licking, cuddling, dancing and singingand some good old fashion family time.

Not to bad of a week I'd say!

A few updates

2012-05-24T12:21:00.001-04:00

This day I sewed Tobin a new play mat since he was getting more into moving around and checking out new things. We also went on an Ikea trip over the weekend, we got a new rocking chair and a new dresser for Maycie and Tobin's room :) (Maycie also stopped to help out and make us some dinner. Love her

One of my weekdays.

2012-05-24T12:17:00.000-04:00

For those of you who don't get to spend a lot of time with Maycie. Let me just say she has a lot of energy. Trying to adjust to feedings and round the clock care of a newborn while still managing a toddler...not just any toddler.Maycie. Was not easy...so some of my days lately have ended up like this one!!

Tobin is 1 month today!!

2012-05-24T12:07:00.000-04:00

My little guy has made it to one month! We have had a few little setbacks with Tobin gaining weight and a few breathing issues, but he is such a strong and amazing little baby he just keeps trucking along! At his check up he weighed 7lbs 13oz still in his preemie clothes, and this was when we started him on the breathing machine. He actually seemed to like it, and started sounding much better. Now we just needed to chub up the little angel :) Also included a little picture of his room!

Life In Between

2012-05-24T11:56:00.001-04:00

Adjusting to life with a new baby and a Toddler has been the hardest thing I have ever done in my entire life!! I don't know how some mom's make it look so easy...because It is not. However we managed to find a few moments here and there where everything clicked and we had it all together. I didn't want to waste those moments so I captured them on camera asap!!

Tobin's first St. Patrick's Day...

Life in Between

2012-05-24T11:28:00.001-04:00

Baby Tobin Has arrived!!!

Tobin is finally here after 39 of the longest and fastest weeks of my life. Yes I had a very challenging pregnancy , but Tiny baby Tobin has finally made it into this world to grace us with his presence. He was born on March 1st, 2012 weighing 6lbs and 13oz. He couldn't be more perfect. Well worth the wait!!
And as you can see it made us all exhausted adjusting to a new one!

We are Officially the proud Parents of a 2 yr. Old.

2011-04-22T11:36:00.000-04:00

Can you believe it! No?...Me either. Kevin and I are now the most proud Parents of an incredible, gorgeous, and amazing 2 yr. old. Every day with her is an adventure, and I wouldn't change it for the world. I heard this poem, and now have it hanging in a picture frame in her room. I know she can't read it, but hopefully one day she will be able to see just how much her Parents cherish her, and truly believe she is a precious gift :)

My heart is like a fountain true

that flows and flows with love to you

as chirps the lark unto the tree

so chirps my pretty babe to me

There is not a rose wherever I seek

as comely as my baby's cheek

there's not a comb of honey bee

so full of sweets as babe to me

There's not a star that shines on high

is brighter than my baby's eye

There's not a boat upon the sea

can dance as baby does to me

No silk was ever spun so fine

as is the hair of baby mine

My baby smells more sweet to me

than smells in spring the elder tree

A little fish swims in the well

So in my heart does baby dwell
A little flower blows on the tree
My baby is that flower to me

Ten thousand parks where deer do run

Ten thousand roses in the sun

Ten thousand pearls beneath the sea

my babe more precious is to me.

So sweet :)

Her Birthday was a bit chaotic to say the least. I had been planning this bash for quite a while, and we had a great place to have it, with games, a pool, etc etc. The day before her Birthday she got sick. Like I have never seen before. Needless to say I was a bit terrified and had a nervous breakdown of sorts. All while Grandma and Grandpa Cawley were here. Flying all the way from Denver, CO just to be with us. Towards the end of the day after canceling the venue, she began to perk up a little, and we enjoyed the rest of our day Staying at home, ordering in, and having a Wii party. So we set the party to be here at our home, thinking Maycie had magically gotten all better. It was freezing outside and snowing, but everyone came anyhow, and we really did have a great time. Her minnie Dress turned out to be ridiculously adorable, and she was spoiled to no end with gifts galore.

Then the next day came....everyone and I mean everyone that attended got sick. Sorry :( At least we made it through the most important day..right!?..

Let the pictures Begin!

Hope you had a great Birthday Maycie Isabella, we love you more than all the stars in the sky:)

2011-04-22T11:12:00.000-04:00

Once Again haven't blogged in a while. I just never find the time to spend long periods of time shuffling through pictures. However I am determined today. So there will be lots.
Let's just get started shall we.

Cuddling With The Kitty

Playing in her new Kitchen

Her New Kitchen That Mommy and Daddy painstakingly spent hours building by hand. Blood, Sweat and Tears. Happy Birthday Baby!

This was our first warm day. We ran outside as fast as we could. Now however it is April 22, and freezing cold, and thunder storming. Really waiting un-patiently for Mother Nature to get her act together!

Homage to Sewing and Maycie

2011-02-18T12:15:00.000-05:00

Alright everyone, I just realized I haven't blogged since Christmas and still had a Christmas background up.
Sorry....
Maycie and I have been keeping busy just having fun! We have toddler time on Tuesdays at the library where she is quickly making friends and becoming a little star. We have also just recently started music classes at The Children's School of Music on Thursday's. Where we get to sing and dance and play on the keyboards, and maybe even make a few more friends :)
We have also been swimming and playing in the snow and doing lots of crafting.
Mommy has been sewing her fingers off on the days that Maycie allows me too.
Even though she is almost to fast to be captured on Camera here are the few pictures I have been able to capture...of Maycie..and of the things I have sewn recently.
Enjoy!

CHRISTMAS

2010-12-27T09:44:00.000-05:00

Christmas this year was a blast! Maycie was such a little doll and was overloaded with tons of great new things. I know she loves each and every one of them! It was a real treat being able to have my family come to our home this year. It made it extra special!
We missed The Cawley's but were able to share as much as we could with them thanks to technology!
I hope everyone else enjoyed their Christmas as much as we did!
Lots of Love to all...xoxo

Pumpkin Fest

2010-10-22T07:32:00.000-04:00

Pumpkin Fest was fun! Maycie got to go on a hayride, and zip through the Hay maze, which I have to admit she never even made a wrong turn. She also got a few pieces of candy, which she has been trying to sneek since we arrived home! And there was some music and dancing.
I also think she had the best costume there....:)

A FORT IN A STORM!

2010-10-14T09:01:00.000-04:00

This was our Magical Fort Day!(followed by some regal music) It was a dark, cold, and thunder stormy day, and the house was clean and we were ready to go out and play, but couldn't. So we made a playground inside and read magical stories with the flashlight, shared some goldfish and apple juice, and played peek-a-boo with the kitties. Maycie likes to hide behind anything really and she will jump out and yell boo! If you cover your face and say peek-a-boo she covers her eyes, and goes pook a bee boo.
She is almost 18 months now! 1 1/2 years old. Holy Cow! Kevin and I were just saying the other day that is seems like just last week we were crawling around with her, giggling at her new movements, and sounds. Now she runs around and talks a mile a minute. She really is a happy happy girl, and never in my life did I think being a mommy would turn out to be this rewarding and amazing!
My mom sent me a poem the other day that described exactly how I feel..This is a little piece of it!

Love her, cuddle her, and hold her near,
they grow so fast and disappear.

The greatest thing I've ever done,
was the day I became a first time mom.

The Visit From Grandpa Cawley and The Baptism

2010-10-05T07:18:00.001-04:00

Hi Everybody,

We just had a great visit from Grandpa Cawley! We had a wonderful time and all got spoiled rotten....I didn't get to take to many pictures, but I am sure Grandpa will testify that it is hard to get a picture of Maycie she is a moving target for sure! We went shopping and did lots of playing and ate lots of good food! It was a real treat for Maycie, Kevin and I....
We also had Maycie's baptism which turned out to be a wonderful day. She was baptized in my Grandma's cute little (very pretty) church. It was a really special day and I am glad everyone was able to make it to see our little princess. We were able to make it through the entire service without having to run out once...Yay for Maycie.

Thanks Again Grandpa Cawley for the visit and all of the goodies and gifts.

2010-08-30T11:31:00.000-04:00

Not really a whole lot to share at the moment, just some pictures of Maycie having a good day!

2010-08-20T07:56:00.003-04:00

So Once again I haven't posted in a while! Sorry but life has been a little hectic to say the least. We have just recently moved and thanks to our previous landlord (who was a jerk!) We didn't have very much time to throw it all together. We now live in Midland where we used to live a few years ago. Due to the events that occurred here before I wasn't sure if we would want to come back here. However, while living in Mt. Pleasant this is where we always came for shopping or any type of entertainment. I was also a little heartbroken that we had to leave our old apartment because I loved it. Maycie's room was like a little piece of heaven for me....
But we are here in our new apartment, which is bigger and sooo quiet! Maycie and I have been out on many adventures, and we are really loving living here.
There is an indoor pool which Maycie and I have been to on a regular basis, there are tons of parks, and tons of places to go for walks. I even have her room all perfect again. I worked on that right away!
So all in all life is getting back to normal and Maycie is as busy as ever!
Here are a few pics of the last couple weeks!

My one Opportunity

2010-07-13T10:33:00.004-04:00

So, I haven't posted in a while and I am sorry about that! The reason (and I am being 100% honest here) Maycie won't allow me too. I know I am a stay at home Mom, and everyone thinks I have so much time on my hands, but If you spent a few days in my shoes lately...you would run for it. Maycie has hit her terrible two's at not even 15 months. Though she is hilarious and as cute as can be, and sometimes you just want to hold her and cuddle with her....I'd think twice. She can maneuver just about anything in the house so that she can climb it to the highest and most dangerous spots she can find. She figured out how to unbuckle her highchair and climb onto the dinning room table. Which happens to be one of those tall ones! She can crawl under anything and get stuck (like our bed) She can get into the refrigerator, bathrooms, laundry room, under her crib, on the couch, on top of the back of the couch, into the bookshelves on the entertainment center and up the sides...the list goes on.Oh and every time I am on the computer she comes in and turns it off, So since she has either decided she is not going to nap that day or I have just been trying to keep up with other things that life requires I have not been able to post!
Sometimes Kevin and I are literally out of breath! Yet we still love every minute of it (well 99% of those minutes) Since Maycie can run at the speed of light, I am finding it more difficult to take pictures. Anyhow here are the few I have managed to capture over the last few weeks. I will also put some videos soon of Maycie's new favorite spot. The waterpark!

Father's Day

2010-06-22T11:51:00.002-04:00

Our Father's Day wasn't a big extravaganza. But I think that is what Kevin wanted. We had the perfect family day. A little shopping in the morning, and the afternoon spent at the park with Maycie, followed by a movie and a nap. And of course some grilling for dinner.
Kevin is such a wonderful husband and father, and Maycie and I are both the luckiest girls on the planet.
We love you Kev!!!! Berry Berry much xoxoxox

Most Beautiful Baby in America

2010-06-15T07:18:00.005-04:00

So I entered Maycie's picture in this American Baby Photo contest or something like that. Just for fun. And I got this e-mail back saying Maycie has been chosen out of hundreds of thousands (all official sounding) to be in a book called "The most Beautiful Babies in America" 2010 edition. She is getting this plaque and everything. I am so proud of her. I knew in my heart that she is the most beautiful thing....but now America will know. How cool is that?
