Einer der viel zitierten Unterschiede zwischen den beiden Berliner CSDs ist, dass sich der Transgeniale gegen jeden Kommerzgedanken ausspricht. Außerdem, auch das wird im Umfeld des TCSD immer wieder betont, stünden hier politische Forderungen klar im Vordergrund. Kristo Behr vom Orga-Team nennt die aktuellen Themen: „Noch immer sind Menschen, die anders geboren werden, anders aussehen, anders denken oder sich anders definieren von homophober und transphober Gewalt betroffen, sei diese nun physisch oder psychisch. Gewaltigen Zeiten sehen wir auch auf einem Arbeits- und Wohnungsmarkt entgegen, auf dem Profitstreben regiert und jedwede Art von Kündigungsschutz, Mindestlohn oder sozialem Mietpreis als Sozialklimbim abgewickelt wird!“ Daher müssten „die Zyniker
in den Führungsetagen auch mit unserem gewaltigen queeren Widerstand rechnen!“
