First harvest of the year

So we had our first harvest this year. Green Onions hibernated and started growing before we prepared our garden. We had about 3 times as much but gave them away to people who helped us expand the garden this year.

Lacey and I are waiting at the Hale Center Theatre to watch this. We are hoping it will be good. We did enjoy the lunch menu at Red Lobster before arriving. Alex is having fun with the babysitter ;)

Trip to the Midwest for Christmas

Finally getting around to another blog post. We have been very busy this last year. I got a promotion and it has kept us busier than normal. But we did our best to travel and visit people even though it was hard.

We visited Wisconsin for Christmas this year. It was really hard though - we had to stay in a hotel that was not so pleasant. Alex had a hard time having to drive back and forth every single day and we had almost no time to hang out with the people we really care about - we spent too many hours driving.

Here are some of the good things about the trip.

Alex loved this toy and was ready to play with it right away. He could hardly wait for us to put it together.

It was a tough trip and I think we learned a lot about ourselves during the trip. This should be a good year and it will be fun to walk Alex as he grows and learns to talk. He is a great kid and is growing up quickly.

Alex is visiting Cabellas and enjoying the very large fish tanks. This store is across the street from our house.

Alexander remembers his old toys

Before Alex could move around he spent a lot of time on this mat with the toys above his head. He would lay for hours playing with the toys and having fun. Well when we had family visitors there was a little baby who came and we took this out so the baby could play on it. Alex remembered it and decided he needed to play too :)

We have some Parsley and Green Onions growing too - the Parsley keeps away the bugs and the

It is very nice to have freshly grown vegetables - Can't wait for the Apples trees to make some apples.

Our first tomato from our Garden

One of the things that Lacey is really enjoying this year is our garden. It will soon be overflowing with zucchini but right now the tomatoes are starting to ripe. She planted 4 different kinds of tomatoes - the cherry ones are a bit behind on the growth but the rest of them are coming along nicely.

We are enjoying having pretty cool weather here - makes it easier to garden when it is not 110 degrees at 6pm.

Here is a picture of the first tomato from the garden.

It was a very good tomato - home grown always seems to taste better.

This kid really enjoys pushing buttons. For the last 5-6 months he just begs to push buttons. He loves to turn off the TV or DVD player when we are watching movies and the computer is great fun to turn off. Here he is having fun with Lacey's old phone.

It was really fun to be around Alex at Christmas time. He really wanted to get into everything. He helped us put up our tree at home.

It is amazing how much he has grown. He used to be wobbly and now he runs as fast as he can from place to place without stopping. If only we could harness his energy!

Earlier in the year we tried to get him a doggie costume but that did not work out very well. The only one we found was too small and it was still a month ahead of time. He is growing so fast that nothing fits him for very long.

Snow

Well, winter has arrived here in Utah. I woke up this morning to 5 inches of snow on my car and 3 on the ground. It was snowing so hard I could barely see 50 feet in front of me. The freeway was moving about 25 miles per hour it was snowing so hard. It has lightened up a bit but it is still going.

I am going to need to go and buy window scrapers and a snowblower. I am sure Lacey will be taking some pictures and we will send them out so you can all see the snow. We have some Halloween pictures that I want to see too.

Moving in

The house closed last night and we got the key. We are moving in Friday night and Saturday morning. Lacey had carpet cleaners come to the house this morning and she started getting everything cleaned up so we would not live in other peoples mess.

Stupid Comcast wanted to charge a $25 activation fee (Hello, we are already customers!!!) to transfer the cable TV so we dropped them and are getting Dish Network for cheaper and with 2 receivers and DVRs. The best part is that we pay nothing extra to get the channel that we wanted anyways, Fox Sports AZ. Comcrap made us pay $6 a month to get it. After the $25/month internet is done I am going to consider DSL.

Since almost everything is still packed from the move from Arizona I am hoping that the move goes smooth and fast. Comcrap and Dish Network are supposed to be coming from 12-5 on Saturday. I will try and get some pictures of the house before we put any crap in it so you all can see it empty before we will it up with junk.

Well today Alex got his waaarm jammies! Woohoo! That means the snow is commin'! Bring it on!!!! In fact, the weather man threatened us it may come next weekend! Woohoo! Bring it on!!!! And the trees are changing colors here already too.
Funny thing about Alex's jammies though....he didn't like the idea of sleeves at first. He has been wearing shortsleeves this whole time so far, so when we put his jammies on him he kept thrashing his arms around throwing a hissy fit. Kinda funny, I suppose only if you're not him...
He is also starting to use his spoon to feed himself. Some of the food gets in his mouth with a lot of help! Oh, what fun.

He never stops moving and thinks he is really cool! :) Well, he is but that is besides the point.

Sometimes he just needs to go to sleep.

Even when his parents are taking a shower, he will not rest. I must get them. I must find them.

The poor stinky rabbit cannot even escape.

Even the camera cannot get away from the restless child.

Just beware, you might be the next one attacked by the restless child.
