Unstable Internet Connection

Today we have experience a very slow internet connection here in Roxas City, Capiz. We don’t know what is the cause of this unstable connection. We are in DSL connection, we call PLDT but they cannot suggest what we are going to do.

We just switch off the modem, the router and turn it on but after all nothing happen, the problem was not solve.

What we are doing is that, we tell the customer just reload the page if it display “the page cannot be displayed”. And the connection will resume.

But the problem still unsolved!

Tomorrow morning when one of our costumer plug his flash drive to the computer and he open his files, all of the folders become .exe files. You know the content of that exe file folder is an autorun which spread the worm virus to your computer. The task manager, folder options, cmd etc. feature of window will not work properly.

For the first time I install NOD 32 anti virus and undergo full scan. All worm virus was deleted but task manager, folder options did not restore.

I also install new folder.exe remover and I restore all features of windows and work properly.

In other words when Windows stops working or if you want to install a better version of Windows, you always make a call to the local computer shop. Therefore, every time your system crashes you have to spend about $100 to $200 to fix the problem. In this article simple steps are written to install the latest Windows 7 edition for free in your computer.

Download the Windows 7 setup file. It is available for free and is being distributed by the Microsoft itself. They have their own reasons for distributing it absolutely free but that is not our concern. Our concern is to happily install it and work with it.
If you do not want Windows 7 then choose any other Windows CD-ROM.
Initially the system should be turned off. Turn it on and insert the CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive.
The computer will ask you if you want to boot from the CD. Press any button on the keyboard and the processor will start its operation.
It will ask you for confirmation to install. Confirm it. The monitor will also tell you which key to press in order to confirm.
After installing some basic components the monitor will ask you if you want to format the earlier version of Windows and the disk you want to install the present Windows pack.

Before you embark of setting up Windows Vista or indeed any operating system it's a good idea to have a search around the web for new drivers for all your hardware. Graphics card, soundcard, Raid if you use it, motherboard drivers are the main ones you'll probably need.

Have a look in your control panel under system > hardware devices for a peek at what's installed in your system if you don't know. You can also download tools such as Sisoft Sandra which give detailed analysis of your system. Most of the drivers you'll need can be found on your motherboard manufacturers website. Nvidia and ATI are the main graphic card vendors and you should check their sites for the latest graphics drivers. You should also make sure your system is Vista ready and able to actually run the new operating system. You can check your PC by using the System Requirements Lab tests to find out a whole host of things about what your computer can and cannot do. AMD have a useful Can your computer run Windows Vista page powered by System labs. If your computer fails any part of these tests you'll need to upgrade your PC before you continue. Most forums have loads of members who can assist with this, recommending products and tips on how to install them.

Once you have all the necessary materials prepared (Windows CD, Back-up disks, Drivers, Software, etc), you need to find out what file system you have on your hard drive. It's worth mentioning, in the Windows XP Operating System, you may come across two possible types of systems: NTFS or FAT32. Each system has its own procedures in continuation with the formatting process. Most users should always select NTFS these days and certainly Windows Vista uses NTFS. For users who need to wipe a hard drive that uses NTFS, it can be done in two different ways. I'm going to talk about the easiest way and that is using the Windows start up disk - the disk with your operating system on. To begin the installation process, put the Windows Vista disk into you cd/dvd drive and restart your computer. At this point it's a good idea to go into your computers bios and check it is set to boot from the cd rom drive. To change the boot sequence and make the CD ROM drive the primary boot device, hit the F2 key on startup to enter setup or F12 key to enter boot menu. You'll need to look around your BIOS untill you find the menu that controls the boot sequence and set your cd drom as the primary boot device above any hard drives. All BIOS's have little variances so it helps if you have the motherboard manual to hand or download one from the manufacturers website. If you are using a Dell PC now is the time to pull your hair out and curse the day you ever bought one.

How to Format Your Computer using Windows XP

Reformatting your computer system is often done for many reasons, from just starting fresh with a clean copy of Windows to just wiping your drive clean before you give away or sell your computer. Using a Windows XP disk is the simplest way to format your drive and can be done in a few minutes in a few several steps.

Backup. Just to be on the safe side in case you find that you have made a mistake of forgot to save something, you should always backup your data before formatting or wiping your disk clean. You can either copy your data files on to a CD or a flash drive or another hard drive.
Restart. Shut down your computer and hit the appropriate key to go into your BIOS. A message will appear as the computer starts up telling you which key to hit to enter the BIOS (sometimes called Setup). Once in the BIOS, you need to go through the different sections until you find one that says something like "boot device order". Once in this menu use the appropriate labeled keys to select CD-ROM as the first boot device. Exit the BIOS and be sure to select save. If your computer does not restart, please restart it again with your Windows XP CD in the CD drive.
Start the setup. After Windows starts up it will display a message that says "press any key to boot from CD", press any key. Windows will start to load files and then will take you to a screen that asks you to install Windows or repair; press the "Enter" key. Press the "F8" key to accept the licensing agreement. If a Windows installation is detected it will prompt you to repair, just press the "Esc" key. Select the existing partition and press "D" to delete the partition. You may have to press "Enter" and then "L" to confirm that you want to delete the partition. The screen will then list the open partitions to create a new partition. Hit the "C" key to create a new partition where the previous one existed. The setup will ask you to pick a size for the new partition, it will automatically list the largest possible size. Hit "Enter" to accept this size. On the next screen, Windows will ask which partition you want to install Windows on. Pick the partition you just created. The next screen will offer several options to Format the partition. Select one of the options and hit "Enter".
Install or restart. After the partition is formatted, you can install Windows again or you can turn off the computer and remove the CD. Your computer is now formatted. Go back to your BIOS and change the boot up order to hard drive first.
