The Jr.high wrestling team traveled to Meadville for the D-10 Championships. Eight of thirteen wrestlers placed. Champions 105lbs Hunter Hendricks, and 122lbs Kyle Sult. Runner up honors was Keller Watkins at 100lbs. Placing 3rd was Dylan Myers at 95lbs, and Cody Lentz at 138lbs. Placing 4th were Chris Pietras 145lbs, Ian Mallory 165lbs, and Nick Soboleski at 185lbs. Nick had two pins today to break the Jr. High career pin record and tie the season high pin record that was held by Tyler Hendricks at 32 career pins and 21 season pins held by Tyler and Chris Laird. Nick’s second pin today was his 21 on the year and 33 for his career.

The Lancers Jr. High Wrestling Team Placed Second out of Nineteen Teams. Coming in ahead of 3rd place McDowell. Butler placed first. The Lancers had seven wrestlers place. Champions Keller Watkins at 100lbs and Hunter Hendricks at 105lbs are wrestling outstanding. Hunter is the first to reach 20 wins for the season with his victory in the finals. He is currently 20 - 2. Keller is one win away with 19 and only suffers one loss. Runner-up honers Dylan Myers at 90lbs and Kyle Sult at 122lbs. Placing 3rd is Briggs Twitchell at 110lbs. Placing 4th were Jordan Motter at 95lbs and Nick Soboleski at 185lbs.  Nick is on pace to break the season pin record of 21 held by Tyler Hendricks and Chris Laird. Nick has 18 wins ALL by pin. With two tournaments and one dual meet left on the season.

Lancers Jr. High wrestling team won the Northwestern tournament this weekend racking up 265 team points beating second place Reynolds who had 229 team points.

Through out the day the Lancers had 52 wins with 37 of them by pin picking up major bonus points. Leading the team was Dylan Myers and Keller Watkins winning 5 matches each and our only tournament champions. Placing 2nd was Hunter Hendricks, Briggs Twitchell, Kyle Sult, Jimmy Nuhfer, Ian Mallory, and Nick Soboleski. Placing 3rd was Jordan Motter and placing 4th was Justin Miller. Dylan Myers and Hunter Hendricks lead the team with the most pins they both had 4 each on the day. Great job boys keep up the good work.

The Jr. High wrestlers traveled to Corry Wednesday night winning nine of ten matches. GM had six pins two from Nick Soboleski who currently leads the team with 12 also picking up pins were Dylan Myers, Jimmy Nuhfer, Cody Lentz, and Ian Mallory. Mclane had two tech falls one from Jordan Motter, and the other one from Hunter Hendricks. Getting the last win by decision is Justin Miller.

The Jr. High wrestlers traveled to Warren on December 23rd 2010 and slayed the Dragons winning ten of fourteen matches. With eight of them by pin. Winning by pin Dlyan Myers, Keller Watkins, Justin Miller, Rick Chernicky, Jim Nuhfer, Chris Pietras, Ian Mallory, and Nick Soboleski. Jordan Motter, and Hunter Hendricks picked up the other wins both with major decisions. The wrestlers next travel to the Youngsville Tournament on December 28th. The Jr. High wrestlers Launched the Titusville Rockets on Dec. 21 2010 with a 48 - 15 win. picking up pins were Dylan Myers, Jordan Motter, Aaron McQuaid, Briggs Twitchell, Kyle Sult, Cody Lentz, Ian Mallory,Nick Soboleski, Zach Etzel, and Brandon Koehler. Winning By decision was Chris pietras, and Hunter Hendricks. The Lancers will travel to Warren on Thursday Dec. 23rd to slay the Dragons. We will keep you updated on the results. For the third year in a row the Jr. high wrestling team won the Kevin Kubalic Classic Wrestling Tournament Team Title at Mercer High School. The Lancers racked up 329 team points an impressive 100 points ahead of second place Brookville with 229.
