1. Some of the connections that I have made between the two are the both do public executions to show the people the consequences that will happen if they try to go against them or betray them. Another one is that they both hang people the same reasons as the last point. They both use these things to control and overpower everyone.
2. The 3 most interesting facts that I have learned about North Korea

1- They way that Christians worship and pray to God and that they have to do in in secret.

2-That some of the most famous Christian songs are the same as the ones they sing in North Korea.

3-That so many people in North Korea commit suicide and the % is 69.9 wich is crazy.

1. The reason we set aside time for remembrance day is that the soldiers were always fighting for Canada’s freedom and our independence. If it wasn’t for them and the ones that died for us we would be living in a world with slavery or even like north Korea is living. Around 17 million deaths in WWI and around 61,000 Canadian soldiers died and 172,000 were wounded for Canada so that we could have freedom and independence in Canada. It was all over on the 11th-month, 11th day, and 11th hour. People rejoiced that they can see their families again and the ones that could not come home are the ones we put time aside for.
2. The reason why we wear poppies is to remind us of the soldiers that have fought for us in WWI. They symbolize the death (blood is red poppy is red) and renewal (flowers blooming every year). Lastly, because poppies grew on the battlefield that the soldiers fought on(Flanders)

The way that i will achieve this goal is by studding a lot during the day and at home, also focusing and listening to the teacher.

I am most exited about learning more about canada and just knowing more about my country.

1. One reflection that I have made is some of the soldiers would lie about their age just to go to war and that shocked me that such young kids wold go kill people.

1. I fell really shocked of what we are learning and what the people do and why would they even what to go to war and kill people and fight.

1. One thing is that when I want to get a drink of water or if I want to take a shower I just undo the tap and it runs for me, clean health good water, but they don’t they have to get their water delivered to them and it’s hard for them.
2. Another thing is that to get supplies they would have to boat to the mainland and pick them up any types of supplies like food gas or other things. Where as we have it that we can just go to metro or other stores.
3. Lastly, we have a good school here they are nice the teachers care about their students and we learn well. Residential schools are the opposite parents send their kids there is they are bad or something like that, but in those school, they are treated horribly and it is like hell there.

1. the connection that I made with this is, I felt the work they were doing to survive, with getting their food and water and the struggle they have. The thing that really hit home for me was they way they get their  water.

1. Freedom road is so important to them because this is, their  way that they will be able to get free off the island and the way to get food water and other sources.

1-The first thing that I did not know about Hitler is that he went to prison, for trying to overthrow the government. The reason behind this was because the terms of the Treaty of Versailles did not agree with Hitler and he made other people think that they were unfair.

2-The second thing that I did not know about Hitler was that he wrote a book called “My struggle” it was about his life and how he grew up. I did not take him as the writer type. I also hope to read it one day and see in detail what he went through.

3-The third thing that I did not know about Hitler is that when he was younger he wanted to become an artist mostly a painter. Like when he was young he did not get accepted into a university for arts that he was passionate about and was his lifelong dream and really wanted this, and when he did not this is what fueled his anger.

1-The first question that I have about Hitler is that was he a Jew in the first place and if he was not what was his religion if he had one.

2-What kind of thing leads up to him wanting to become chancellor in the first place and what did he intend to do when he had this position.

iii) One event that is similar to Hitlers that is happening today is Isis. The goal is to create a unified Muslim territory. Hitler’s primary  goal was the forcible acquisition of Lebensraum (living space) for the German people. This is similar in a way because Isis is taking over countries and making people be with them and expanding their Muslim territory and Hitler is taking over countries to show how great the Germans were and to expand Germany.
