Do you follow the Signs?

How many of us fails to follow the signs? Signs are very important to be followed because they are indications of what is happening or going to happen. These signs in the photo was taken in Rocky Mountain National Park. Because of these signs we're aware of what might happen ahead of us.

I have noticed many people always want to go the direct and fastest way. Let's take my own experience. While on my way to work, most of the time I followed the posted miles per hour a driver supposed to drive his or her car. But most of the time I ended up being outrun by most of other drivers. These signs are being posted for our own safety but we always fail to follow it and when accidents do happen we always blame someone or probably the weather condition but we don't realize that we had broken the laws.

Small Business

Small business is something I had always wanted to do and now I'm old enough to finally go off on my own I'm getting ready. I want to make sure I don't accidentally jump before I'm ready so I'm doing what I can to get all my ducks in a row before I think about quitting my real job. I love the idea of being my own boss and not having to worry too much about what other people think… The prospect of making all my own decisions sounds absolutely amazing to me. For example, I went to http://smallbusiness.xo.com/xo-t1-internet.html the other day to look into Internet options and realized it was all up to me… I didn't have to run anything by anyone. That feeling of freedom is totally new to me and I'm not really sure what to make of it just yet but I guess I better figure out what it's like to be the boss before I jump on my own. I can't wait to see what the future has in store for me!

Bones at Yosemite National Park (#1/366 BPC)

This is my first time participating in the blog photo challenge and my first entry is Bones playing the snow.

This photo was taken at Yosemite National Park. While my husband was taking pictures, Bones and I was busy playing the snow. I made a snowball like a size of a tennis ball and threw it just about three feet away and Bones will catch it. He was so happy even though it was so freezing cold and I was happy too by just playing with him and be in one of the most beautiful national park in the US.

Safety First

My husband travels about two weeks per month for work. That means that I’m at home alone pretty often with the kids, and sometimes I get really scared. I’m embarrassed to admit it, but it’s the truth. I didn’t want to tell my husband about it because I was worried it would affect his work. I know he already feels guilty leaving us alone so often, and I didn’t want him to feel even worse. Before I went to my husband with my fear I decided to search security systems kansas city missouri and see what our options for a home security system were. I went to him with a bunch of information about how I thought we could fix the problem so that he wouldn’t get stressed about it. We went ahead and got a security system and I feel so much safer when I’m home alone with the kids now. I’m glad that I figured out a way to fix the problem without putting my husband’s work in jeopardy. It made everything so much easier having a solution before mentioning the problem.

Dog Safety Light

It seems like it is getting popular these days that a dog owner put a blinking light in their dog collar when they take them for a walk at night or very early morning. For me whoever invented these dog safety light is brilliant. Because of this dog light, you will be able to notice and see if something is on your way or someone is approaching towards you. This dog safety light was one of the things that I want to give to Bones for christmas. Unfortunately, I was too busy at work and I forgot about it. Anyway, it always christmas here in our house and I will surely will buy this safety light when I have ample time to go to the store.

My husband is an accountant, so he crunches numbers all day for a living. He has always been a math person, so he really enjoys his job. The part of the job that he likes the least is the traveling. He is a junior member of his accounting firm, and he often has to travel for major clients. While it is good experience, he hates to be away from our children. The reality is I hate when he is gone. He is a great dad, and he is really helpful in putting the kids to bed and helping out around the house. I always feel a little overwhelmed when he is out of town. I understand it is simply part of his job, but I am looking forward to the day when he travels less.

Bones loves going on a fast walk

I think this photo was taken after we took Bones in the nearby dog park.

My husband has been taking Bones during his "fast walks" almost every other early morning. Since the community where we live is not that crowded, my husband allows Bones to be off leash so that he can get the best exercise he could possibly have. The fast walk will usually lasted 30 minutes to an hour which makes Bones so tired afterwards.

So now, Bones is looking forward to this "fast walks". He will wake up my husband early morning even if it's not their scheduled "walking day" together. He will walk back and forth from the living room to our bedroom and will rub his body to our bed for several times. If my husband will not move or say something Bones will give his "crazy loud yawns" until we will tell him to go back to his bed because it is not their scheduled walk. So far, we will obey and will go lay down on his bed until we will get up. Bones is such a smart and very obedient dog. We're very fortunate to have him. He was so small when we first got him at the dog pound and now, almost five years ago, he turns to be a huge dog.

Bluray Movies

I love watching action movies and game shows on TV. Because of these reasons, my husband signed us up with a website three years ago where we can download movies for a very low price. He also purchased a new 55" flat screen TV, a surround sound system along with a bluray player as well just to complete our home theater experience. I first told him that it wasn't necessary to buy a new TV and a new bluray player because we already had a 36" TV and a DVD player. He decided to make these purchases because he wants us to experience the best quality while watching our favorite movies and TV programs.

As technology advances, we have witnessed many inventions like high definition TVs, surround sound, and bluray players. I never thought that I would love watching TV more because of bluray movies, thanks to these inventions. In fact my husband who is not fond of watching the type of movies that I like will sometimes sit with me in our recreation room to watch a movie with me just to enjoy the high quality home theatre experience. Watching bluray movies are more enjoyable because it gives you a crystal clear picture which almost makes you feel like you are there.

I am really glad that my husband got us a new TV and a bluray player. Our next movies that we are going to watch in bluray is the Lord of the Rings series. I can't wait to see these movies again. How about you, did you notice any difference when you watch a bluray movie?

Shoes are one of a Woman's Best Friend

I often get this question from my husband every time I buy a pair of shoes. How many pairs of shoes do most women have because it seems like you have too many shoes? Frontline Plus for Bones

I decided to give Bones a bath this afternoon because I noticed that he has been licking and scratching a lot lately. I also noticed few red spots in his stomach and his paws in his front legs are swollen as well. Just five hours ago, my husband applied Frontline Plus to the skin level between Bones shoulder blades because his constant licking and scratching might be the cause of fleas. I also applied my anti-itch cream on the red spot of his stomach (I am not sure if it is working or not but all I can say is that he did not lick his stomach where that red spots are since I applied it to him).

Now, Bones is sleeping soundly on his bed in our living room. He smells good and look so fresh. Hopefully he will stop licking and scratching tonight.

Yard Signs

For the third time in a year I had to call adt security systems to report my yard signs missing. Someone has stolen the octagonal signs that you post in your yard to alert criminals that your home is protected by a home security system. I never thought they the alarm system signs would be hot targets. Our security representative told me that it was actually much more common than you would think. He assured me that it was not just my house but that he gets at least two calls every week for new signs. Apparently, people who do not want to invest in alarm systems steal the signs in hopes of deterring criminals. It’s funny because stealing from someone to avoid someone stealing from you just seems like it is hypocritical. I wonder if the sign thieves have thought about that. I’m sure they just look at it like they are taking something that is free. The signs are not actually free for the security system company. If they looked at it like stealing to prevent stealing, I wonder if they would continue to jack the signs out of my yard!

Golf clubs that fit you

A few months after I came to the United States, my husband took me to a nearby driving range where we live. He taught me how to use the clubs and how to putt. I found out beforehand that my husband used to be one of the players on the golf team at the school where he went to college. But after graduation, he did not pursue to become a professional golfer. Rather, he got a few temporary jobs by working in a restaurant and began to pursue a career as a commercial photographer. When he was able to save some money, he went back to playing some golf during his free time using his same old golf clubs.

For about two years now, I have witnessed how my husband tried so hard to get back in to playing golf. Many golfers whether professionals or novice think that he has a very good swing. These positive comments give him hope that one day he will be as good or a better golfer than when he was in college. He did a lot of research online as to what reasons why every time he hits the ball it usually did not go straight. He found out that it might be his golf clubs that no longer fit him. For that reason, he decided to replace his very old golf clubs with a new set and he even bought a golf bag and a push cart as well. He said that his game improved significantly with the new technology in golf clubs. But unfortunately, when he purchased these items it wasn't at a discount golf equipment. He spent a considerable amount of money for his new golf equipment. He could have used the savings to play more golf. He now goes to the driving range every few days and plays with his buddies at various courses a couple times a month.

According to my husband, you have to make sure that the golf clubs you are using are the right fit for you - including the proper weight and proper shaft. When he first got his new clubs he only had to have them re-gripped because he has big hands. It gives him more control when he uses his clubs. Practice, determination and following basic swing principles are also the keys to being a good golfer besides having modern, properly fitted and reliable golf equipment.

Aeropostale's Apparel

Besides eating a little too much food, I consider shoes and clothes as my other "weaknesses". In fact my husband has asked me many times when I am going to stop buying so many clothes when we don't have enough space in our house to store them. I have already used almost all the space in three of our closets plus my nine-drawer cabinet, another two-drawer side table we have in our bedroom and a separate shoe organizer under our bed which holds over 12 pairs of shoes. I always want to stop buying clothes and shoes but I just can't help myself. Sometimes I intentionally will not to go to the mall so that I am far away from the temptation of buying clothes.

But now since I am always in front of the computer, shopping is much easier and I have been tempted so many times. If I am not mistaken I bought at least 5 Aeropostale shirts and sweat pants online before I went to the Philippines last March. Since it has already been a few months since I bought something for myself that I really want, my next purchase online will be Aeropostale dresses. I've been wanting for so long to have rompers because they look very comfortable to wear and besides I can use it almost all year round since the weather here where I live is one of the best in the world.

Burglaries are still rampant here in our community. That is why we are trying our best to deter or eliminate these burglars from burglarizing our homes. Lately they're not only stealing monies and jewelries but also dogs especially the little ones. That is why precautions are very important to be practiced. According to the email we received from our neighborhood watch block captain, burglaries usually occurred during day time. I was not surprised with this news because most home owners are working during the day and their kids are in school too. Thus, there is nobody in the house. But there are so many ways we can do in order for our house to look like there is somebody staying in there even if there is none. You can turn on the radio or your Direct TV so that whoever will knock on your door or try to pry your windows they will think that somebody is home. But if this trick seems not effective to you, home security rison is the best way to protect your home and your family.

Actually there are so many things we can do to safeguard our home and family. Most of the time, we're tired of answering our door when somebody knocks thinking that he/she is just selling something or soliciting money. You should address to whoever knocks on your door without opening it. Just tell him/her that you are not interested. In this way, you let that person knows that you're at home. He or she might be spying to those houses that seem like nobody is around.

Always remember to call the Police if you notice something out of the ordinary. If you saw a suspicious individual, try to get his physical descriptions as well as the description of his/her car and the license plate as well. This will help the Police catch these bad guys.

Say Cheese Bones

Right after church, me and my husband went to Ralphs and Trader Joe's to buy groceries. As soon as we arrived in our house, I told my husband to take a photo of me alone. But Bones keeps on rubbing his body in my legs so I told my husband to take a photo of me and Bones together. So, I commanded Bones to sit and stay. Then my husband says smile and fire the camera. My husband and I was laughing so hard because Bones was also smiling (as you can see on the photo) showing his "pearly white"teeth. I think this is a very hilarious photo.

I Love Seafoods

Seafoods are my most favorite foods. Every time we go out to eat in a restaurant, I will always look for a seafood menu. It is not cheap but my husband knows how I love seafoods. In fact, there were quite a few instances wherein the food I ordered in the restaurant was twice or three times the price as what my husband had.

Fortunately, we had an All You Can Eat sunday brunch at the Queen Mary when we went there almost a month ago. I was so happy being able to eat seafoods without the limit. I think I had three or four plates of seafoods alone. We will definitely be going back there one of these days.
