GRADE SCHOOL
Hearing someone shouting “tomboy” is just super ordinary. Yes, they’re referring to me. Who would have thought I’m not? The things I like are more like of boy stuffs. I do mingle with girls but I’m having so much fun on a boy’s crowd. I prefer water guns over dolls, cards over Chinese garter, punching over scratching…LOL

HIGH SCHOOL
Old-fashioned, flirt, trying hard, insensitive and lesbian is just a run of the mill. Keep hearing it every day. Duh?! I don’t give a damn, who cares? Don’t even care if someone just wants to befriend me because of an answer of a math problem. I don’t let others see my weakness. Thus, I was called insensitive. I like boy stuffs, so what do you expect?? I will mingle with girls who do make-ups and wears sexy clothes? I am more comfortable with big shirts and pants with matching rubber shoes; they can’t expect me to have fun with skirts, fitted clothes and high heels.  I am a sport-minded person and most girls love to wear doesn’t suit me. I love watching wrestling, UFC, basketball, suspense/thriller/action movies over to some dramatic shows or movies and honestly, if someone force me to watch some dramatic movie or show? I would end-up getting pissed with the main character doing all the crying stuff and some corny lines. It makes me want to puke! The result would be the vice-versa; I would hate the protagonist and end up loving the antagonist. Call me “ruthless”, that’s what I am and I don’t give a damn.

COLLEGE
“How did you do it?”
“Wow, you really eat a lot!”
“Don’t give her the microphone.”
“What a noise!”
“You’ve got lots of appeal.”
Just some of what I keep hearing throughout my college days. “A gal with a bottomless stomach”, that’s what my friends call me. True, I ate a lot. Well, what do you expect? I love eating and it’s one my favorite hobby. But who would have thought that I ate much of that a fat guy when I am so thin? Well, it’s metabolism baby.  True, I super love singing, and when you invited me in some karaoke?? Well, just a piece if warning I have this sort of “sickness” when I’m into it I will never give you the chance to sing. LOL
Oh well they say I’m good at it. The only problem is that when I started to sing I just can’t stop it! Whenever I got the grip of the microphone, you can’t really expect me to give that to someone else because I will continue to sing till I get tired and I don’t care if you cry. Believe it or not.
Got lots of appeal? Ummnn…no comment. LOL

The bottom line of this? Love yourself. Every individual is unique. But no matter how unique you are that you thought that you are abnormal or that no one loves you…well think twice! You are a special person and that there’s someone who loves you… who will make you pretty/handsome, like you are the only girl/boy in the world. It’s just you haven’t meet him/her yet. Be patient. At the right time, you will have somebody whom will treasure you more than you could ever imagine…

Are you with the right person?

Now let me tell you this, no one can actually tell you if he is the right man for you except YOURSELF. Other people might just know him because of what you’ve told them or he was with you when you hang-out with your friends. But other than that YOU are the only one who knows what his character is, what his good and what his worst at.

Mr. Right is within every man.

Funny how people criticize someone else's status on any social networking site.

Every people we're given a chance to create their own account, right? Then it is just right for every people to do or post things in their own freewill. besides, it is not oneself who is accountable for every thing that is made.

I just don't understand why there are people who barge in or find it irrelevant or find it something stupid when someone is making a post, when at the first place "IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM." Instead of making a fuss out of that post, why not simply ignore it? Every people has it's own freewill, he/she can post a hateful, funny, dramatic stupid post and so? Who cares?

If that person's post is somewhat disturbing or pretty stupid, there's always an "X" button on your friend's list. HIT IT. Then, end of discussion.

You don't have to endure reading something stupid if it disturbs you. In the first place, why did you add that person? To know how's he/she been doing etc. or out of respect? Respect? There! Some people might have accept someone's friend request out of respect. Then, why not continue respecting that person? If they post something you find irritating, then simply IGNORE AND RESPECT.

Why is there are people who are too emotional in their posts? Don't you think they need someone to sympathize them? Or advice them because in real world no one understands them and thinking that maybe in the cyber world, there is someone they can rely on?

Why do people posts a picture of what they ate or tag you on something that for you "it isn't funny or interesting at all?" Don't you think that they just want you to try it out or want to taste it too or hoping that you were there when they it it? And tag you to those pictures because they want to share what they think is funny and maybe just maybe it'll make you laugh too?

There are many reasons why people do that. It's just that there are also people who are too narrow-minded to see those reasons behind. And for me, I don't find it distracting or stupid that some people have to make a fuss out of it.

People should have known that they can't tell other people what to do just to please them. I'm no hater, i just view it differently from other people. If you don't agree you're very much welcome to leave................... ;)

Says the Heart

When I was in high school, i was very fond of reading essays and there's one that has been my favorite it's entitled "A piece of something". Actually, it talks about love. It really widen my eyes of what love really is. I tried to ask for my friend "Google" for help about this essay but unfortunately it's been reposted a couple of times that I couldn't find the original one (honestly just too tired to open up the sites hehe). However, I did found one which is more similar to what I have read. Here it is and enjoy! :)

A Piece Of Something..

While I was walking, I stopped for a while and thought of the things I don’t have. Then I realize that the happiest moment of all the people don’t necessarily have the best of everything: they just make the most of everything that comes along the way.

It’s true that we don’t know what we’ve got until we lost it but it’s also true that we don’t know what we’ve been missing until it arrives. In the gateway of my heart I put a sign that says, “No trespassing” but love came laughing and said, “I enter everywhere” Love knows no reasons, love knows no lies, love defies all reasons, love has no eyes. But definitely love is not blind love sees but it doesn’t mind. Love is when you take away feeling. The passion, the romance and you find that you still care for the person.

Love is supposed to be the most wonderful feeling. It should inspire you and give you joy and strength. But sometimes, the things that give you joy and strength can also hurt you in the end. It starts with a smile, develops with a kiss and ends with a tear.

When you love you must not expect anything in return. If you only accept happiness, you’re not loving but using. Don’t go for looks either, it can deceive. Don’t go for wealth even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because only a smile make a day seem bright.

The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly on them and not to twist them to fit our own image otherwise we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them. Never try to impress someone to make him/her fall in love with you because when you do you’ll have to keep those standards for the rest of your life.

A sad thing about life is that when we meet someone who means a lot to you only to find out that in the end that it was never bound to be and you just have to let him/her go. Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person we should know to be grateful for the gift. We can’t often see the reason why we don’t always get what we want but in the end of it all we realize that what we wanted was not meant for us at all everything happens for a reason.

When you feel down because you didn’t get what you wanted just sit right and be happy because God’s thinking for something better for you. It hurts to love someone and not be loved in return but what is the most painful is to love someone and never have the courage to let the person how you feel. It’s always better to have found the courage to love even if you lose in the end rather than never finding love because you were too afraid to face its challenge.

The greatest regrets in our lives are the risks we did not take. If you think something will make you happy, go for it. Love no matter how hard you find it. You won’t see it. No matter how hard you try, you won’t get it. But when you’re about to give up, it comes. Sometimes the love that we are looking for this right in front of us is too close for our eyes to see. So close your eyes to let your heart see itself.

There are things you love to hear but you can’t hear it from the person who says it with his heart just because someone doesn’t love you the way you want. There are many stars in the sky, only some are radiant to be noticed. God never closes the door without opening the window. He always gives us something better when He takes something away.

In relationships thank God when you’re hurting or crying, there you are given the chance to measure the importance of the relationship of the person and of yourself. When you grow you don’t become a better person because you experience suffering. We have no right to ask when sorrow comes. “Why does this happen to me?” unless we ask the same question or every moment of happiness that comes our way.

When God puts a tear in your eye it’s because He wants to put a rainbow in your heart. There are some things that we never want to let go of people we never want to leave behind but keep in mind that letting go isn’t the end of the world. It’s the beginning of the new life.

The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past. You can’t go on well in life when you can’t let go you’re past failures and heartaches. To let go is not to deny but to accept. To let go is not regret the past but to grow and to live for the future. To let go is to fear less and to love more. Don’t be afraid to break someone’s heart or leave your heart broken because that’s how relationships are when you’re young they are stepping-stones for the main one.

Follow your heart. It might not right but despite the pain you will have memories that will make you smile every once and rare while. It’s better to lose the person you love now and have him later than have him now and lose him forever. Love has its time, seasons and own reasons. You can’t ask it to stay. You can only embrace it comes and be glad that a moment of your life it was yours.

Each of us is what we will. But we can never go back a day. Don’t let each moment pass you by for within the twin ding eye that moment shall go and that feeling shall die. It might be too late when you open your eyes. Don’t be so busy, the life you’re going to have that you fall to appreciate that you’ve already given. Dream what you want to dream, go where you want to go, be what you want to be cause you only have one life and one chance to do all the things that you want in life.

We are never given dreams without the power to make it come true. A heart in love never loses hope but always believes in the promises of love. No matter how long the time and how far the distance never say goodbye when you still want to try, never give up when you still can take it, never say you don’t love that person anymore when you can’t let go.

True love doesn’t have a happy ending. That’s because love doesn’t have an ending…

Hope it also widen your eyes when it comes to love. I'm glad that I can share this piece to you. Anyway this is where the piece come from :

http://quoteandlyric.tumblr.com/post/408836032/a-piece-of-something

It must be the true meaning of love...

They got hurt and even cry a river because of failing.

It made me remember a story that somehow widens my eyes.

There once a girl who feels that she could never find a guy that would treat her as a woman nor give her a complete meaning of love. Yes, she had lots of boyfriends but none of them even let her feel what love really is. They said they love her but they just let her cry. But having her heart broken again and again, she never gives up and still continues to search for love.

At last she found a guy that took really good care of her, made her feel loved all the time. She thought that “this is the guy the heaven gave to her” and she was so blessed to find that guy. Every day for her seems to be perfect until days, weeks, months… and year. She thought this dream would never come to an end. The guy really loves her and she feels it.

But do really love you dreamed for can come to an end?

She dreamed and prayed for it. But what happen? Why is her heart aching? Why does she feels that they guy she longed for is stepping backward? Is it the end?

NO. She will never give up, she never will.

The guy committed such a big mistake involving a third party. He cheated on her even he was saying that he loves her and only her. He says sorry and says that he was being teased and tempted by a girl to share a “love” that suppose to be shared by two in love married person. It’s an unforgivable mistake but she chooses to accept it knowing that he could never find another man that would care for her as he did.
But she was wrong very wrong. The guy still committed the same mistake again and again because she always forgives him. It is the same scenario until three years past that she can never take it but too afraid to let go because she’s so worried that he could never find like him.

She was so down. She’s not happy with her partner anymore making the same mistake until she saw him with her own eyes that her partner has been cheating on her with the same girl and they’ve been living together. That was the time that that she call it a quits. She can’t bear it anymore. She is now awakened of her foolishness.

Many of us are blinded by the “love” we are searching for when we find it. We thought it was it but we are wrong. We need to be hurt over and over again just to be awakened of the reality that what we’ve been feeling right now is not “love” after all. We are just merely blinded by the thought. The moral lesson is in the story itself.

Well, I’m not really good at advising but hope the story can make you awakened of your deep sleep. Wake up before it’s too late.:)

Fury

It seems something's really missing.

Yeah, I got my college degree but it seems it looks to them that i'm too dumb to learn things and even doubted my capacity as a human. True, it really hurts but I guess that's how life should be. You need to encounter more hurtful things to be come stronger. But isn't it to harsh to feel this everyday?

But what hurts more is when you know your capacity but then some factors held you for it. It's just a simple task but you can't go for it because of that freaking obstacle. It's just a simple obstacle but too hard to kill and there's no choice but to give up although you know you don't want to....

assign 9

In your own understanding, what's the difference between "METHOD" and "METHODOLOGY"?

Hmmn… Actually when I first read about this question, a lot of ideas are occurring in my mind. And somehow it made me think so deeply. Stop! I was really about to post the answer of this question when something unexpected happen. Would you believe that I accidentally deleted the words in the document and saved it? It was really annoying! It was better if I could have deleted the document itself because I can restore it from the recycle bin. But just imagine what I did? It’s really an OMG! So much for that, let’s go back to the question being asked (I was just telling my unfortunate experience).
So as I was saying, from my own point of view a method is a way of doing something. It could be also that it is carrying out something especially according to plan. For example in a math problem, we usually use “methods” in order to solve a problem or shall we say techniques and come up into a solution. So we can say – in other words – that methods are used to come up a solution to answer the problem being stated.
On other hand, I was thinking that a methodology is a study of methods or a study of a way of doing something or carrying out something, especially those according to plan (“ology” means study of, right?). So when I search about what a methodology is, I found a site (wikipedia.com) that stated that it is a systematic study of methods that can be applied within a discipline. It could also be an analysis of methods employed by a discipline (so I guess my thinking was right about the study thing). So to really visualize what a methodology is let’s have a concrete example. An example is a research paper; we all know that methodology is being used in research to define what methods will be used in developing. It can be a reference on how or where the data come from to attain successfully the objectives of the study.
I guess that would be all about method and methodology. It is not an obscure thing to us what a research is. The publication of all research paper has been the center of its notion. It has been the basic means to disseminate the results or the research paper itself.
Before a research paper being published, it will be first reviewed by 3 or 4 reviewers (each paper) which are experts on this field of study. After being reviewed, the best research papers among the submitted ones are then accepted for publication in the journal or even in the conference proceedings. Actually, publishing a paper is usually done in some conferences or journals.
Every year there are thousands of research papers that are being submitted but the acceptance rate are often 20% or lower. Not all papers that are being submitted make it to the publication.
As I have read from the same site (ACM), there are still flaws in reviewing a research paper. Since judging a paper is not an easy thing to do, the reviewers is having a hard time assessing the paper’s impact, how relevant it is and even look at the topic – if it is interesting or not. Sometimes a research is rejected because of some bad reviews it because sometimes an author gets reviews criticizing the paper and saying the opposite thing. Having a research paper is somewhat a matter of luck, if your research will be accepted. It is because some reviewers are positive thinker, some are not. Reviewing takes a lot of time, most especially to those meticulous reviewers. That is why most authors do not write in a manner where the audiences can understand the paper but write in a manner that the reviewer would be please in their paper. Some common reviewers accepts very detailed papers than the more innovative and creative one.
Having these flaws, they made a different aura in reviewing a research paper. They made a conference which different from the traditional one where the author can not reply on how the reviewers review the paper. In the new one, the reviewers should not be acquainted by the author for the fair judgment. In here, the authors have a few days to rely on the reviewer’s question. There was also a community review to avoid flaws. The community can vote on paper/ or abstract that they like. Aside from the two mentioned, there is also what they called “open” in which all the participants can go to the conference and made their own judgment on the presentation they heard. There was also an invitation type of conference where the reviewers are those persons who are invited in the conference as judges. The authors then are required to present their works.
So, I guess a successful publication of a research depends on how good a research is and of course it depends also on the reviewers.

Assign 6

How do you know if a piece of research work is good or not? How are they evaluated? (1500words)

There are a lot of researches conducted by different people. If it’s not for a cure for a certain virus, it’s about how to lessen the burden of the people by making things high-tech or we can also say that it helps the people as well as the environment like what green computing is up to. But how do we really know if a piece of research is good and when is it not? Can we say that it is good if it actually solve a man’s problem? And if it is not, is it a bad one? These questions are exactly what are playing in my mind right now and I’ll try to answer it my way (tongue out).
In my point of view, research is somewhat searching a certain thing “again” for it to be more effective or realistic it could also mean an organized study or shall we say a methodical investigation into a subject in order to discover facts, to establish or revise a theory, or to develop a plan of action based on the facts discovered (according to Encarta). Most of the research is made to lessen the burden of every individual. It is a means of making an answer to every human’s dilemma that walks on earth. And in fact, it is a solution to everyone’s problem.
I can say that a research is good if it actually address a certain group of people’s (or even not) problem. If it solves or lessens or even an advancement of a certain technology, then we can say that it is a good research (well, I’m not sure about this but let me continue…). A research will be nothing if it doesn’t address certain people for it to solve their dilemmas. Because if it is not, then what’s the use of research anyway? Is it for fun..? (Grinning) Well, I think not. It’s not a realistic to do – making a research for fun - to think that lots of money will be spent if you just do it that way. But who knows maybe there is someone who makes it for fun or shall we say it’s his/her hobby (having a hobby is also a means of having fun, right?). We can never tell. Hmmn, I hope it doesn’t look like I contradicted myself (laugh).
I was thinking if there was a judging portion to be able to identify if a research paper is a good one or not aside from the fact that it can solve someone’s problem (confused). I guess maybe that’s why there is an evaluation made in every research paper (enlighten). One thing also, I was a bit confused if all research paper published were evaluated (ahh maybe that explains why most of the researches found in the internet are prone to be false because they were not evaluated [enlighten again]). But how are they being evaluated? Do they have any criteria for basis? Hmmn… It seems I have to search some answers for it. Might as well as google it (laugh).
Evaluating a research paper is somewhat a process to determine how good the paper is. I think there were standards on evaluating a research paper and even in publishing it. Based on what I have read most of the research that being published in the internet are prone to be false (that’s what I stated a while ago). So basically, my first statement does not cater on publishing it on the internet (but I think not all since there are top-tier journals who published researches in the internet). If that’s the case then I think there’s no way a student can identify which research paper is true and which is false, or can they? Most of us know that majority of the published writings on the internet don’t come from reliable source and if it is, you have to do a lot of hard work to find one (well, it’s based on my experience. I don’t know if you guys have also encountered the same problem with mine when it comes to this.)
If we say “evaluate”, it could mean that we consider or examine a certain thing in order to judge its value, quality, importance, extent, or condition. So going back to a research paper, we can say that a research paper is good if it pass the evaluation. I mean, if all in all the research paper has a great impact on the current situation and it helps a lot of people then maybe – just maybe we can categorize it as a good one. As far as I remember about the article I read about research paper is that (I read this a long time ago when I was looking on how to wrote a research paper [tongue out] I just thought this reading could help), a research should have a great impact on the current situation or current thread. How will you know that the research you’re working will be a great help if you don’t know what’s new? As I have said in my recent posts, the formulated problem and the suggested solution may be available already. Then the research you’re currently working might be useless. So basically, it has a lot to do with the current situation or technology which can benefit the consumers. For us to be able to decide of what the topic will be proposing we’ll go in depth (tongue out). The content of the research should have reliable sources and should not be based on some hearsay. There are a lot of sources in the internet but take note that not all the information found there are true. And if you only find the sources only in the internet then you must find a reliable one. Well, that’s what sad thing about making a research in a technical way because there is only little information and sometimes do not have some that we found in the books. We all know that the most reliable source are came from the books and because sometimes the topic we’ve chosen is in current thread then it is hard for us to find some information in the books or magazines then we have no choice but to look for it in the internet. Although it is not hard to search a certain article that could support the research we have but the question of is it reliable enough to be a source is still a question to be asked.
So having all the explanation above about making or writing a research topic/ paper, we can say that it is a good research. If it follows the do’s of writing a paper then maybe we can categorize it as a good one (well, it’s just my own point of view feel free to correct me then). Actually, there a lot of published research papers in the internet. As a matter of fact, there a several of research paper found in the web sites that are reliable enough to become a basis for a new research. Although I have stated it (I think a lot of times) that most of the research found in the internet are prone to be false, there are still a lot of research which are reliable especially those research that are being published by the top – tier journals like ACM, CSP and etc. As I have said, most are prone to be false – but take note that not all. So basically, we can still find good one and make it as a basis of a new one, right (I hope I didn’t contradicted myself or didn’t explain it in a way that is so confusing. But I guess I made it so confusing. So please just bear with me guys [tongue out].)?
So, what else should I say or rather write? Is there something else I forgot to mention? Well, I guess it only me who can answer these questions of mine and nothing else (laugh).

assign 1

They on using the discrete-event simulation modeling since it offers the people the chance to develop an understanding of their problem domain by building a simulation of the problem space in which they are interested. There are three broad perspectives that also being used as a basis of this paper which focuses on how to approach the development of simulation models.
The first perspective focuses on using a graphical user interface also known as GUI that allows user to build the model on the screen, connect the components by arcs to represent the model logic, and run the simulation (Drury and Laughery 1994). The second perspective is underpinned by the belief that no simulation program is able to model all types of system behavior without making some simplifications or modifications (Joines 1994). And lastly, the third perspective on which the paper will fully focus , concentrates on using a GUI that is able to automatically generate code, with the modeler making changes to the generated code to match the system needs (Hlupic and Paul 1994). The researchers are more concerned with two basic issues.
The first one concerns the modeling approach. Several programming approaches, often known as ‘simulation world views’, have been designed for discrete-event simulation modeling. The aim of any approach used should be to aid the production of a valid, working simulation at minimum cost or in shortest time (Pidd 1992.a)
The second issue concerns with the effect that cost of modifying the generated code which is the programming me4thodology. There are specific methodologies, reflecting particular programming paradigms which may support simplified model code comprehension, and therefore maintenance. Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), for example, has become popular in simulation modeling (Kienbaum and Paul 1994b), with a claim for relative ease of maintenance being made for the approach.
To address the both issues of modeling approach and programming methodology, this research was made. They introduce a new simulation world view termed the Four Phase Method (FPM), and discuss the importance in the context of iconic representations and the automatic generation of code.
The aim of the research is to attempt to combine a new simulation world view, OOP, and iconic representation to construct a simulation environment for the development of discrete-event simulation models. The modeling environment should be able to model complex system behavior, provide the user with a simple iconic representation to ‘drive’ the model design, and generate understandable code.

EVALUATION:

This research paper was actually, as stated above, about simulation which will create a new simulation world view which they named as the Four Phase Method (FPM). In which, they aimed to combine a new simulation world view or FPM, OOP, and iconic representation to construct a simulation environment for the development of discrete-event simulation models. It is where the modeling environment should be able to model complex systems behavior, provide the user with a simple iconic representation to ‘drive’ the model design, and generate understandable code.
The research paper was very organized from the introduction until to the conclusion of the paper. The variables are carefully explained and evaluated maybe because the writers/researchers are shall we say experts on the information technology industry. In model lay-outing and problem description, they stated that the problem being investigated is not of principal importance to the work, since it is mainly concerned with the modeling process on its own right. It could be an investigation of production quantity or the calculation of the average time that is required to produce a product. Identifying their problem in my point of view is somewhat unclear there were terms that as a normal person will be unclear. Since not all understands technical term.

SAEDES++: DETERMINING COMPLEX SYSTEM AVAILABILITY VIA SIMULATION

Javier Faulin

Department of Statistics and OR
Campus Arrosadia
Public University of Navarre
Pamplona, Navarre 31006, SPAIN

Angel A. Juan
Carles Serrat

Department of Applied Mathematics I
Av. Doctor Marañon, 44-50
Technical University of Catalonia
Barcelona, 08028, SPAIN

Vicente Bargueño

Department of Applied Mathematics I
ETS Ingenieros Industriales
Universidad Nacional de Educacion a Distancia
Madrid, 28080, SPAIN

This paper presents the researchers’ basic ideas behind a simulation-based method, called SAEDES, which can very useful when determining the availability for a wide range of complex systems. The method is implemented in C/C++ using two different algorithms, SAEDES_A1 (component-oriented) and SAEDES_A2 (system-oriented).The two case-studies are introduced and analyzed using both algorithms, which allows them to compare the associated results and became the basis. The ultimate objective of this method is to determine or estimate a complex system availability using the following information which is assumed to be known: system logical structure and failure-times and repair-times distributions for each component. The method is implemented using two different algorithms, SAEDES_A1 which uses MS and can be considered as component-oriented in the sense that it is based on the generation of each component history) and SAEDES_A2 which uses DES and can be considered as system-oriented in the sense that it is based on the generation of the system history.
The method presented in this paper, SAEDES, has been designed to deal with any kind of logical or physical system that meets some general criteria. The following assumptions are made:
1. Two-state systems: at any given time, the system will be either operational which is working properly or not
2. Coherent systems: the analyzed system is assumed to be coherent, in other words: if every component is operative the system will be operative, if no component is operative the system will not be operative, and a positive status change in a component (that is, from inoperative to operative) cannot cause a negative status change in the system (that is, the system will not change its status from operative to no operative)
3. Minimal paths decomposition: the system logical structure is known and it can be expressed in the form of minimal paths
4. Component failure-times and repair-times distributions: for each component, its associated failure-times and repair-times distributions are perfectly known
5. Maintainability policy: system is under a continuous inspection policy, that is any failure will be detected as soon as it will appear
6. Perfect reparations or substitutions: when a component fails, it is repaired or substituted by a new one; in any case, the result is as if a new component has been placed
7. Failure-times and repair-times independence: the failure-times associated to one specific component are independent from the failure-times associated to any other component; the same holds true for repair times.

Assumptions (1) to (4) guarantee that there is enough information to study the system reliability. Assumption (3) often requires a detailed analysis of logical relationships among components. In this sense, simulation algorithms have been proposed to find out the minimal path decomposition of a complex system (Lin and Donaghey 1993). In the assumption (4) context, statistical methods such as accelerated live tests (Meeker and Escobar 1998) and data fitting techniques (Leemis 2003) are usually required. Assumptions (5) and (6) are not restrictive in the sense that they could be relaxed, if necessary, by adapting the algorithms of the method.
Finally, assumption (7) is the most restrictive one and it may require considering some abstraction levels in the system decomposition.

SAEDES method and algorithms make use of several mathematical concepts and techniques. Specifically, the method is based on:
• System availability theory: system reliability and availability concepts, including minimal paths
theory (Barlow and Proschan 1996, Hoyland and Rausand 1994, Kovalenko et al. 1997, Pham (2003)
• Simulation techniques: data fitting, pseudorandom number generation, event treatment, and variance reduction methods (Banks 1998, Chung 2004, Law and Kelton 2000, L’Ecuyer 2002, Wang and Pham 1997)
• Probability and statistical concepts: probability theory, descriptive statistics and inference techniques (Ross 1996).

SAEDES can be very helpful for system managers and engineers in determining and improving complex systems availability. SAEDES is able to provide useful information about complex systems availability and can be applied in most situations where analytical methods are not well suited. Two different and alternative algorithms have been developed to perform SAEDES core functions. Both algorithms have been implemented as computer programs and used separately to analyze different complex systems. Different case studies have been conducted, showing that results from both algorithms are convergent, which contributes to validate the method and to add credibility to it.

EVALUATION:

Hmmmn.. This research paper (for me) is actually good. It’s just there are parts of the paper that is unclear such as using an acronym which they doesn’t include the meaning of it. If I were an ordinary person with no knowledge about technical term used in a computer industry, I won’t be able to understand it. I think the author should put the meaning in every acronym they used. Well, it’s just my own opinion.

Environmental Tobacco Smoke and Tobacco Related Mortality in a Prospective Study of Californians, 1960-98

James E. Enstrom
Geoffrey C. Kabat

The paper tackles about the tobacco which the main objective is to measure the relation between environmental tobacco smoke, as estimated by smoking in spouses, and long term mortality from tobacco related disease. This paper covers 39 years of prospective cohort study. Their main outcome measures the relative risks and the large percentage confidence intervals for deaths from coronary heart disease, lung cancer, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease related to smoking in spouses and active cigarette smoking. The results for participants followed from 1960 until 1998 the age adjusted relative risk (95% confidence interval) for never smokers married to ever smokers compared with never smokers married to never smokers was 0.94 (0.85 to 1.05) for coronary heart disease, 0.75 (0.42 to 1.35) for lung cancer, and 1.27 (0.78 to 2.08) for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease among 9619 men, and 1.01 (0.94 to 1.08), 0.99 (0.72 to 1.37), and 1.13 (0.80 to 1.58), respectively, among 25 942 women. No significant associations were found for current or former exposure to environmental tobacco smoke before or after adjusting for seven confounders and before or after excluding participants with pre-existing disease. No significant associations were found during the shorter follow up periods of 1960-5, 1966-72, 1973-85, and 1973-98.As years pass by, the percentage of smoking tobacco becomes bigger and the risk of death becomes larger. As a conclusion, the results of their survey do not support a casual relation between environmental tobacco smoke and coronary heart disease and lung cancer may be considerably weaker than generally believed.

Evaluation:

Actually, I was a little bit confused here not because of the research paper but because of the questions that pops up in my mind. I was confused because I was thinking if the research I summarized could be categorized as a scientific research. Well when I search the word “sample scientific research”, it appears. I guess it’s one of the “scientific researches”. Going back to the paper, figures and the way it is presented is good enough to understand by any individual.

Assignment 4

What do you think is the role of research topic in deciding your future career? (1500 words)

It has a big impact in any career you want if you have a good research or even deciding on what research you want to work with. I guess it is because it reflects on what you really want to be in the near future.
In my own point of view, the first role of the research topic in deciding student’s future (to be more realistic –my future: p) is that it is one of the requirement to graduate (laugh). Well kidding aside, to be honest I guess that it has a lot to do in the things you want to do in the future.
I think there are a lot of roles in a research or even in a research topic. I just don’t know how to put this in words though the ideas are already tickling in my mind. Hmmmn… It’s somehow a confusing statement (grinning). Aside from the fact that I stated above, research is also one of the lamp of my/your future. Why did I say that? Well let us face the fact that without completing the entire requirement and one of these is research, the dream of dressing a black cloth will be just an imagination. Sad to say, it will never unless you comply all the requirements. Going back to research, there are companies who support or even hire a person who has a good research topic (well, that’s what I found out after searching). And maybe that’s the reason, why it has a lot to do with my future or rather say deciding on my own future career.
Actually as I was walking on the streets heading to my boarding house, I saw a pamphlet that says “wanted researcher”, with the amount of salary given if you will be hired. I was amazed because it’s not just a small amount but it tackles a lot of money! Not to mention that the company holds all the expenses spent on whatever study will be produced by the researcher. But of course, the topic should be in lined on their criteria and even in their so-called “topic coverage”.
Just by looking the tempting offer given by the pamphlets or even in the internet, I can say that having a good research topic is somewhat a stepping stone for a bright future. I was thinking that if someone wants to have the best salary in such pieces of paper, then being a researcher should be the first in their list on deciding a future career. But actually, being a researcher is not an easy thing to do, a lot of hard work (if you are hard working already, then you have to double it) is required to be able to succeed or even produced a good topic (I know that based on experience [laugh]). But I think that the hardest part on a research is finding the appropriate topic on a certain scope. And when you already have a topic, then its easy now to gather some data since a lot of resources are now available in the internet, you just have too find a source that is proven to be true since not all the sources given in the internet are proven to be true.
I guess I was out of the topic (laugh). I think one of the roles of research topic is that it will give some knowledge to us students what is the current thread in the industry on what is in today and which is not. I don’t know if it could be classified as a role. But I guess I could be (tongue out). Just like on what I have experienced in this semester. Our topic should be with the scope of green computing. Actually, when I heard about the term “Green Computing” I was thinking that it has something to do with color. What I mean is that the color of computing is green, easy as that. I really sounded like a silly person at that time. I don’t know if I swallow some mercury that’s why it seems my IQ has degraded. And to be honest, thinking about “Green Computing” made me think so hard what topic should I propose. As a matter of fact, I find it so hard to produce a good topic because at that time I really don’t know what the scope of being called as a “Green Computing”. I was really ashamed that “Green Computing” has been introduced a long time ago and even made some solutions to maneuver it. Even the other countries have already organized some group and even made a campaign for it. Well shamed on me, I don’t know about that not before it was introduced to be or scope for our topic.
So I was thinking that in a research, the students will be taught how to gather some data by themselves. And even taught on how to be independent on something, what I mean is that the students were taught on how to stand in their own feet. Not just relying on what the instructors have said or teach in the four corners of the room. Having me as an example, because of the scope of the topic given to us, I was able to know the new threads of the computer world that supports green computing. Now I know that there is some software that helps us not just as a student but also helps the mother earth. And because of our scope, we were able to come up also a research topic that helps a certain group of people as well as the environment. Now I already know that most of the machines being made for the convenience of the people made the earth suffer from the effect given by these machines. In other words, we made the environment be destroyed by the things that we built. (Ooppps… I sounded like an angry mother trying to scold some naughty children [laugh]). So, I found out that there are some software which hits two birds in one stone and it isn’t bad to be a research topic right….?
Well, that is the reason why I said that maybe – just maybe one of the roles of a research topic i9n deciding a future career for a student like me or even not is to be aware of the recent thread in the technology industry. See, it is because of this I already know what green computing is, for whom it is and even what is its purpose.
Doing a research is somewhat gaining your knowledge about something (that’s what I thought based on experienced [grinning]). I mean everything your interested about. As I said a while ago that choosing a topic can be a reflection of what you want to do in the near future, just for example, those who formulate problems that intend to make solutions through software could be that they want to be a developer or a programmer someday. It could be also that the person who is good at gathering data could be a good researcher.
When I’m doing our research, there was a time that at the middle of my busy student life, I reflected on what I wanted to be in the near future – I mean after I graduated. I realized then what I’m good at. Frankly speaking, I can say that I’m good (well, not really good but I guess I excel at it) at gathering data or even conducting some interviews or surveys (we didn’t conduct some interviews or even surveys in our research since we don’t need it. We are more on technical side and didn’t even touch the social thing. So since they say that interviews and surveying are on social research, we didn’t conduct it.) So after I found out what I’m good at, I suddenly know or rather say have the idea what possible job should I take. A job which I think would be fitted on me. Since then I realized many things on deciding what path I should take.
Actually, I didn’t know the current thread in the industry if we say technical. I didn’t even know what twitter is and how it differs from facebook and friendster (shame on me); the current software, technologies and many more. Yes, I am a computer science student and I’m aware that I should suppose to know the current threads in my chosen field of expertise. But sad to say, my learning was stuck at the four corners of the room. Well, not until our instructors let us wander outside the university and made our learning in the real scenario of being a “technical person” and one of that subjects is research. But of course, you shouldn’t expect that you could just find a good research topic in the four corners of the room. One thing also is that you shouldn’t expect that you can also find a good one if you’re too old-fashioned and didn’t know the current thread. It is because you’re formulated problem and suggested solution might existing already. Well, that’s what I experienced. :p

Reflection :)

Last, July 2, 2009 a seminar was conducted by the COMDAPP held at the Apo Bayview Hotel. There are a lot of topics that has been discussed during that time. The topics are about the hp thin client, open source and many others. I just attended the two mentioned topics. HP thin client is just like any other desktop computers. But according to the speaker, it is more reliable than the desktop. It is cheaper, and more power saving than the latter. There are no moving components in its hard drive. It is not heavy and very space saving since it is small. Aside from the hardware aspects, the price of hp thin client is cheaper than the deskstop. I don’t know how much cheaper the thin client is but according to the graphs of the speaker, it leads to that thin client is really cheaper than the desktop. Thin client is not just good in hardware but also in its software. It has built-in operating software that can restore the documents when it’s crashed or corrupted. It can also eliminate a virus thru restarting the pc. If I remember right they configure something on the pc for the virus to disappear whenever it restarts. The concept is like a RAM does in the pc. If I’m not mistaken a RAM is a temporary storage which when restarts all the files being put in there will be gone. I think that concept is what applies in HP thin client. It has also less percentage in hardware failure which the companies who buy this will get a lot of benefits and can save a lot of money. Aside from the companies like call centers, airports, and etc.; even schools use HP thin client and usually they put it in the library. According to the speaker, it is necessary that a HP thin client has a server. But actually, I forgot to ask if it can be used as a personal computer. Well, maybe it can be used since the speaker said that it can be used with or without server.
Aside from the HP thin client, I also attended the open source seminar. It has been discussed what open source is and what softwares or programs that can be categorized as an open source environment. VLC is an example of open source where it can be a subtitute for a windows media player or winamp. It can also be used as a downloader. Mozilla firefox is an internet which can be substitute to internet explorer. Php is a programming language for web developing. Other examples for open source are, jumla, drupal, apache, thunderbird, moodle, and may others.
There are many companies that now use the open source softwares and even Hollywood celebrities used this for their websites. The discussion runs smoothly until someone asked about what is the most reliable to use when it comes to a system that will be use in election say automated election, proprietary or open source? Each of them had different point of views. But what really catches my attention was the man from a company which produces proprietary products.
Well, I don’t know his name but he said that he has nothing against open source. When it comes to making a system like an automated election any of those can be used. Its either open source or proprietary, it doesn’t really matter. The first thing that should be considered is the one who will make the system to really test that there will be no leakage. It is because other officials might influence the programmer then same thing happens during election. Second to consider is the familes of the programmer. It is because they may receive a death threat just to put a leakage on the system. Third is where to develop the system is it inside the country or outside. It is to avoid the influences of the officials. Lastly, what software should be used? Is it open source or proprietary?
He said that if someone uses open source, then it is good since you don’t have to buy the software because fortunately it’s free. But if something goes wrong in the software or some components of it that will create a problem because you don’t have someone to turn to ask about it. You have to pay some experts to debug it. If the programmer choosed to use proprietary product then they have to pay for the product. And if there’something happened in the product you can always go back to the company where you brought it with free of charge as long as you have the warranty. He said that sometimes the product you buy is lesser than the service of a person. But either of the two doesn’t matter for they both produce satisfaction for the client.
Aside from the seminars that the COMDAPP conducted, there are also different stalls or booths for different companies that sell different technologies. It is like Mini Park for technologies where some booths offers or gives freebies to all the expectators who registers in their stall. I think the proper term is technology exhibitions. The companies exhibit their products. There are some technologies there that I never expected that it is currently used or currently available in the Philippines especially here in Davao. Actually, I know that there are already existing surveillance cameras but I never expected it to be as high tech as I have seen in the exhibitions. Aside from the surveillance cameras, there are also high tech pc monitors which you can flip in any way you want and aside from that it also has components which helps the environment. Maybe it produces less carbon that is why there is some sticker on it saying it’s good for the environment. Aside from monitors, there’s also motherboard which is also good for the environment. It has a cooling component that keeps it to warmth. There are also printers, anti-virus, cleaner for car, pc, and etc; laptops, servers, cameras, and many more in the exhibitions.

assignment 2

Assuming that I was tapped by the university president to evaluate the new enrollment system implemented in this semester, the following are my observations/comments and suggestion to improve it: In the “OLD STUDENT ENROLLMENT” first, the student accounts where the students needs to be cleared in their accounts. I observed that during enrollment, there are still students who fall in line in the student accounts to have their clearance signed. Sometimes there are two staff assigned to entertain the students who fall in line in the student accounts, there are also times that its only one. So, if there’s only one staff to entertain the students who will have their clearance signed and the students who fall in line in student accounts for the posting their accounts (in short scholars), it will take a lot of time to entertain them all. So I suggest that there should be at least two staff in the student accounts to have their service faster and students will not get tired of waiting for 48 years to be served. Second, the advising or the pre-registration well not all the time that advising/ pre-registration takes too long but there is a time that students are confused who is the adviser maybe because they are not informed. So I guess that the list of advisers should be posted in the faculty to be able for the students to know who will be their adviser. It is because I think that since advising and pre – registration is included in improving the enrollment system so I also look on that area. Third is the cashier, in fairness the service of the cashier now is quite faster than the past service. There are security guards who guide the students in falling in line and even give them a priority number to secure the students that there are no “singit” portion that will happen. And as I saw it, it is really good if there are some security guards to guide the students in falling in line so the “singit” thing will be minimize if not eliminated. Fourth is the registrar, as I experienced it, it took a lot of time in making it to the registrar. It is because of the lengthy students falling in line. I’m very surprised because back at the former enrollment it takes time to finish paying into the cashier but when you finish paying you will have no hard time in the registrar. But now you will have hard time falling in line in the registrar than in the cashier. I think the reason why it turns out to be like that is that all the students are all falling in line in only one or two or three staff to be officially enrolled while in the former enrollment all colleges have their respective staff to serve the students to be officially enrolled. But now, as I said a while ago that there is only at three staff to serve the students and sometimes there are circumstances that there will be one left to served the students. In my own experience, I started falling in line to the registrar at around 1:30 PM and when I was already finish at the registrar I was shocked because it’s already around 4:00PM. See it consume a lot of time falling in line in the registrar and that’s not the end part of the enrollment, you still have to go to the library for the library card validation. So to avoid a lot of time consuming, I suggest that the former enrollment in the registrar part will implemented again. The registrar will be again by college or department so that the time will less consume. This will only cause problem if the registrar lacks of staffs. By then, I have an alternative solution it will still be by college or department. Every college or department that has a large population of students will have a staff to take care of them. But to those college/department that has less population will be combined into one staff of the registrar. It is to avoid the lacking of staff.
Aside from the “OLD STUDENT” enrollment, the “NEW STUDENT” is also included. According to my observation and from the use case diagram shown above, enrollment for the new students is a bit organized than the past enrollment for the new students. Actually, I forgot what or how does the enrollment worked when I’m still a freshman of the university. What I actually remember is the long lines to every offices of the school. If I remember it right, enrollment started in UGTO where there’s something papers to be filled up. I think those are student’s information. Afterwards, the students needs to go to their respective local council to fill up another form (it’s still for student’s info and I think it’s for the record of the local council) and pay the necessary billings like LC fee, headlight, OCSC, insurance and etc. After the two mentioned, the student will now go to their adviser to be advised and then write their subjects into the pre-registration form then have it encoded. Of course they have to fall in line for their subject to be encoded. Then, they will go to the cashier to pay their matriculation. After that they will go to CWTS/ROTC to have their subject validated. After a long period of time when they already finish paying, they will go to the registrar and pass all the documents needed such as the rquirements mentioned above. Lastly, they will go to the library to fill up something for their library card. Today’s freshmen enrollment is a bit different from the past. It is because after filling up the form given by the UGTO, if they’re not scholars they will not have to go to the student’s accounts, they will proceed to the CWTS/ROTC for registration and sectioning. Then they will proceed to their respective adviser for pre-registration and encoding of their subjects. After that, go to cashier for paying their matriculation. Then, they will to the registrar to submit the requirements and lastly, to library to fill up the form for their library card.
I didn’t know if the freshmen, aside from filling up the form given by the UGTO they will still fill up a form given by the local council and the library. If what I’m thinking is right then, maybe it should be better if the freshmen will only fill up one form given by the UGTO and the other offices who want also to have a copy of the students’ information. The other offices will just link to the UGTO to get informations of the students. So that the frehmen will have no hassles in filling up those forms and it will minimize paper work. It can also minimize file handling. But if what I’m thinking is wrong that the current freshmen only filli up one form then, let it be. The developers perhaps know about this and took an action about it. I guess same manner happens when the new students arrive at the registrar. And if that happens I’ll suggest again the same thing I have discussed above. But if it’s not, then good for them because they didn’t have to wait for 48 years just to be served. But I think that they also have the same burdens as the old student when it comes to the registrar. Well, it will be unfair if the process of their enrollment will be different from the old students in the registrar’s office. It will really a blood bath if they have a different service (heheheh joke). So I think that all of us share in the same shoes. So if possible I really want to change the process in the registrar.
Actually, to be honest I don’t know the difference between the current enrollment and former enrollment of the shiftees. It is because I haven’t experience it. But whatever it is I know it’s different from the former one. Well they changed it, right? So there must be some differences, the problem is I don’t know what it is.
I know that aside from the process, there is also a difference in the internal components of the program or databases being made by the developers. In technical aspects, I was not so sure if I’m sharing it the right way or still I’m commenting again the process. But we’ll let’s just see if I’m taking the right path of the technical aspects.
I have already talked about the process of the current and former enrollment system now; we will look for the technical aspect or its inner components. The former enrollment, I think that the database is being used by the encoder per college, the cashier and the registrar. But there’s one thing that I’m curious about. It is about the hard copy that the registrar obtain when the students’ COR has been sealed as “officially enrolled”. I know I’m still talking about the process. I just forgot to talk about it above and since Im very curious about it, I have to discuss it. So back to the topic, I was thinking if what’s the reason of that COR’s hard copy. Other side of me thinks that it’s for the error checking, but if they did it for the error checking then what’s the essence of the database being stored to their office? It’s for the students’ record, isn’t it? So, why no used it to its purpose? Why not eliminate the hard copy for the registrar since they have the data being stored in the computer? If that is eliminated, then they can save a lot of paper and of course money. No hassles for file handling. There will be no boxes of CORs being stored in a room or something. Even the enrollment now, the registrar still gets a hard copy of a students’ COR, which really puzzles me. They are now the one who prints the COR but still want a hard copy of it. I don’t know what the purpose of it is. I suggest that maybe it’s good if they only print a copy for the student as they go to the cashier. So that they can check if all the encoded subjects are correct. After that, the registrar will only print one copy of official COR for the student. Wait, I think the reason behind why the registrar also prints a copy for themselves is that they needed a proof that the student really enrolled the following subjects and if I remember right the registrar let the students sign the printed COR. Well, correct me if I’m wrong.

MY RESEARCH TOPIC

The University of Southeastern Philippines is having a new enrollment system. It maybe a shock to everybody but yes, it’s true. The reasons behind this are maybe known to anyone unknown to everyone.
In my opinion, I think the reasons why the university changed the enrollment system into a tapped in – house resources are: first, the old enrollment system was pretty expensive. The university has to pay (I think if I’m not mistaken) monthly (or yearly?) for the programmer to maintain the enrollment system. I don’t know how much that cost but according to some hear says that it was really costly and in practical manner, the University (for me) cannot hold on into a system that is too expensive. Second, I think they changed the system because if some inputs are incorrect or there’s something problem about the system, the university don’t have to look and pay for the programmer who maintains it to correct the error/problem. As from what I had learned/heard in the discussions, the programmer who can only touch/maintain a system is the one who made it (I guess it’s because of m***y or maybe something else? hehehehe). Third, I guess it will also boost up the image of the university having in-house resources made by its faculty and maybe staff. I maybe don’t have knowledge on other schools for also having in-house resources but I guess it’s still a point for the university. Fourth, I think for them to be able to save money. As what I have heard on news, the government cannot produce or sustain all the needs of the government schools and if they can it takes a lot of time to provide the needs of these schools. That’s why in high school, there’s an org for parents which helps the school to provide a good ambiance of learning to the students. And I guess that is also the reason of the university. Fifth, I presume that the university wants a good start of a new learning and facilities to the student and this is a good beginning. As of now, there’s a lot of project that the university is currently working on and I firmly believe that it’s for the good of the students and for the university also. Lastly, I think that having in-house resources will credit to the faculties who made this not only for the faculties but also to the school. It will show that the university is not just a university but it’s also a university for the finest instructors. 
For me, the in-house resource for the university is a good decision. A long time ago, there are a lot of students in our course (having the subjects of Software Engineering and Systems Analysis and Design) that are always proposing on an enrollment system. I don’t know what there motive is but I think in the back of their mind, they are not satisfied in the enrollment system of the school that’s why they always proposing the same thing. And now, the new system for enrollment is built I guess there will be no student who will propose again for the same thing well that’s unless they’re not satisfied about it.  Going back to in-house resources, I really think that it’s a good decision as I have said a while ago. It’s because it means that the university is starting to work for changes, it’s an alteration for a new academe and it will also mean that they want to give not just good but best facilities to the students and that’s what they currently working on.
I also think that it will also show that the university is having best instructors that would satisfy the student’s crave of learning, just imagine that their own instructor can do an incredible work for the university what more to the students? Others will give an idea about how the instructors can give knowledge to the students and how standard the university is. This would mean that the university is indeed a great school and no one will question about that. 
When there’s something wrong about the system, the university will not have a hard time looking for the programmer who made it. It is because the programmer itself is very accessible enough since the programmer is only within the reach of the university because the programmer who made this is also an instructor in the university. They might pay for the service fee but at least it’s within the reach (and maybe the price is not too high because maybe it’s discounted? Hehehe I’m not so sure).
Aside from it, I think that it is been proposed along time ago it’s just that there’s no budget for it and the university is looking for some pros and cons about it. And they were thinking what will be the possibilities to implement it while they are still having other a lot of projects. But whatever it is, they still manage to have a new enrolment system.
It is indeed made the students proud of their instructors for having it built. It can also boost up the university’s image. Other’s will really see that even though the university is lack of facilities for the students but still they trying their best to show that they can still provide the needs of the students aside from the fact that they are lacking some facilities. It will show that facilities itself is not enough to produce good students but the learning itself the university provide is also a plus. Having the system will really show what kind of instructor the university has and what kind of students will produce because of these instructors.
But whatever the reason is I know it’s for the benefit of the students, instructors and for the university itself. It is for the good of both parties. I think that is all I have got in my mind.

assignment 1

Actually I don’t know how to start this reflection because a lot of words are coming out from my head (char lng jejejeje) and it’s quite hard for me to organize it. Hmmn… I think that what we did on our proposal is quite scary and gives us a lot of pride. It’s scary because in my part I don’t know if we were capable enough in handling this proposal of ours although I think that we could make it because of our hardships and with the help of our future saviors (ka2ng mga tao na motbang sa amoa). Actually never in my wildest dreams have I imagined that we could come up into this proposal, although it is our instructor who told us about this project and we just put some additions on it. Reminiscing those times put a smile on my face it is because at that time I’m about to give up because I still haven’t think what project will be proposed and my group mates also has nothing to suggest at that time. And if ever there is and we consult it to sir, the answer will be either “no” or “other groups has come up to the idea”. But when things gotten worse because we still don’t have any proposal, suddenly sir told us about a project made by the former students of IC and suggests that if we like we could enhance it. At that time, I was really thankful to sir. Actually, nihayag jud akong panan.aw ato kay I Thought la na jud pag.asa and when we did and passed our conceptualize paper I was more happy because it has been approved although there are some features added on it but it doesn’t matter what matter to us that time is that it has been approved.
As I have said a while ago it also give us a lot of pride because if ever it will be succeeded it would bring honor to us and it might be a stepping stone in getting a high paying job. And as I think now, although we will encounter a lot hardships in our way in making this project I know that together will make it successfulJ.

sad assignment5

Although, I could manage doing the observation, use of questionaires and a little bit of document review. Why interviewing? It is because I love meeting people and do some chit-chat with them. It may be about business or not. Talking with different persons is somewhat a challenge to me example of this is winning their trust. And because I'm an extrovert person doing interviewing is my cup of tea.
--Lerit, Princess A.

my reflection
