I heard a lot of things about Yabu restaurant, they said that they really serve good Tonkatsu and these pushes me to taste the famous Tonkatsu in SM Megamall lol.... Of course I have my foodie partner with me who is very choosy on this kind of food and she is my food tester for this day. Hehehe

Katsudon - meaning a bowl of rice topped with fried pork and egg. Tonkatsu - pork cutlet. Hehehe...

It was a Wednesday morning when we went here and at 11am they already have a lot of customers, but we still got a chance to get a good table for two.

I got a 1st good impression with this restaurant, employees of this restaurant is very accommodating including their manager i guest, and they are very attentive to customers request.

A hot towel was serve first before getting our orders, which I got confuse though, I thought this should be give after they serve your food? Curious mode.

This is their well arrange condiments, the one on the right looks like a pig in a side view and i don't know how to read Japanese that's why i ask allot on how to use it.

This is for their sauce, just combine the sesame seed and tonkatsu sauce, grind it and you'll yet your yummy tonkatsu sesame seed sauce.

For you to enjoy their unlimited cabbage, add the white sesame seed sauce ( Winner!). When i first taste it I got this impression that they should not include this since it has a bland taste but good thing my partner tried the sauce and we got a eureka moment that we just discover it by ourselves.

Honestly speaking i haven't tasted a good Japanese rice like these, it is really different and its heavy.

Rosu Set 180g Php.405

So we ordered a Tonkatsu set, serve with Japanese Rice, miso soup, fruits, unlimited cabage with sesame dressing and it has a yellow wasabe on the side if you want you're food to have a small kick of spiciness.

On this set you can choose if you want a ROSU (Pork loin) or HIRE (Pork Tenderloin)

For Pork Loin, it is a 3/4 inch thick pork cutlet with a trimming of fat, choose Rosu 180g, 120g or 90g

For Pork Tenderloin, it is a 3/4 inch thick pork cutlet with NO fat, you can choose 150g or 100g.

Rosu katsudon Php.265

And this is my favorite their yabu's rosu katsudon, it is compose of 2 egg omelet and a speacial sweet sauce on the top of the steamen japanese rice and all i can say is that, i didn't finish it, I think its good for two. Take out na lang.. hehehe

So for those who haven't tried this yet better check them here.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day because having a full tummy will make you concentrate on your work and studies, but for a call center agent like us breakfast is our dinner lol.

I crave and look for a good breakfast, but all i can see is pandesal and lugaw in our place, that's why my partner decided to buy me breakfast at KFC. At first I got curious on what to eat at KFC since they only serve chicken but she told me Thur text that I should try it and I said yes due to my curiosity until she got home and check what we she got for me.

KFC Tocino, scrambled egg with fried rice( TOSILOG). This is so Pinoy and I somehow enjoy the food , it cold na kasi e pero pwede na. But I forgot to ask how much it is. I love the egg it is super scrambled but I like tustadong tocino ( slightly burned). There you go, just wanna share my experience with KFC breakfast.

This is the 1st time I've tasted bibingkinitan's bibingka :) and i love it. This was actually a gift from Food Asia Corp. when we attend the bloggers event at bar-b-king and they also allow us to experience their new iced coffee.

Php. 20.00 each

Bibingkinitan's main product is their mini bibingka ( kaya nga bibingkinitan diba...) FYI: i know how to cook bibingka and i know how tiring and hard making a bibingka, every December our family never failed to sell bibingka especially if its already simbang gabi ( 9 days series of Masses before Christmas), it is tiring but its fun and after tasting Bibingkinitan's bibingka, i remember my mom.

So this is the one i am talking about, their iced barako for Php.45.00. I never tasted anything like this, i only drink hot barako but this one really taste good. Imagine for 45.00 pesos you can buy a good tasting pinoy coffee. So for those who haven't tried it yet better visit Bibingkitan now....

Bar-B-king Ultimate Grilled Angus Beef Belly

If you are following my blog, you'll know that Bar-b-king is one of my favorite restaurant and having a delicious and affordable food is a MUST eat for me and Bar-b-king is one of those.

Me and my blogger buddies was invited to try their new Grilled Angus Beef Belly and for me to personally meet the owner, but unfortunately i was late ( i hate traffic!!) i missed their introduction and when we arrived, everyone is almost done eating and some of them are already chitchatting.

Here's a brief information about bar-b-king. Bar-b-king is owned and operated by Food Asia Corporation who is behind the success of Bibingkinitan, Fresh Food, The bibingka Cafe and Tea square. Bar-b-king restaurant focus on charcoal-grilled barbecues,so if you love grilled liempo, pork barbecue and grilled fish, better check this restaurant and also if you'll check their store at SM Megamall, it has an outdoor grilled ambiance you can see how they cooked their food and you can smell the freshly grilled barbecue.

And here is what i am talking about, The ultimate Grilled Agnus Beef Belly. This Angus beef is USDA certifide for only Php. 150.00, it has a thick cut of a beef belly, stir fried carrots & corn, bar-b-gravy and the famous bar-b-rice yum yum yum..... Me and my partner love it and might bring her mom here on mother's day.

Bar-b-king has 5 braches: SM Megamall, SM Makati, SM Dasmariñas, SM Olongapo and SM Rosario and what i've heared they are now into franchising. So for those who haven't tried this yet, better check try it now.

Bar-B-King

J.CO Donuts and Coffee was originated first at Jakarta Indonesia in 2005 and they have a lot of stores in Malaysia, Singapore, China and now in the Philippines. There's a lot of pinoy travellers out there who've tasted it already and i think they are very happy to hear that J.CO is now here in the Philippines.

When we enter their store, everyone greet us with a pleasant smile and they really ask if this is our first time at their store, they will automatically recommend their best seller or recommend their favorite and will definitely assist you quickly.

<img "me="" border="0" cooking"="" height="640" loves="" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7116/7070761391_4f8c7b3465_b.jpg" width="436" />

Sorry for the picture it is so small, i just use my phone. Any way... all ll i can say is that their store is big and cozy, there's allot of tables and chair available and the store design is so cute... so Paris???, they have Donuts and J. Cool Section. J. Cool section is where yo can get your beverages and yummy frozen yogurts.

<img "me="" border="0" cooking"="" height="480" loves="" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7179/7070759757_14b6956abb_b.jpg" width="640" />

<img "me="" border="0" cooking"="" height="480" loves="" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7276/7070708819_b957ddd764_b.jpg" width="640" />

I love to try them all but of course since it is our first time, we only want to taste at-least 2 donuts. Hihihi....

<img "me="" border="0" cooking"="" height="300" loves="" src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5117/7070734479_56f98f2e61_b.jpg" width="400" />

Yogurt for yogurt lovers...

<img "me="" border="0" cooking"="" height="400" loves="" src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5072/7070734893_8aece16db1_b.jpg" width="300" />

And of-course, coffee, frappe and tea will always be there.... For their Frappe which we ordered, we choose a Iced Chocolate "Due" for 130.00php only. It is a creamy and not too sweet ice chocolate and i am loving it.

<img "me="" border="0" cooking"="" height="640" loves="" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7217/6924681932_ec018ea03a_b.jpg" width="480" />

This donuts is what they called Choconuttzy , donut with peanut butter and chocolate, the thing that i love about this flavor is that, the peanut butter taste is not that strong.

<img "me="" border="0" cooking"="" height="480" loves="" src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5113/7070735653_056eeed8cc_b.jpg" width="640" />

Since me and partner curiosity won't stop about magnum, she tried to grab 2 different flavors at 711.

<img "="" border="0" cooking"="" height="472" loves="" me="" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7239/7021382599_da2d1d315e_b.jpg" width="640" />

Magnum Almond - I like this, i love the taste of almond, chocolate and vanilla ice cream.
Magnum Chocolate Truffle - taste like dark chocolate in short i don't like it.

These two ice cream cost 55php in 711, but you know what in Cebu, you can only buy these for as low as 20php, grabe... i don't know if its true but i had a friend who lives in Cebu who juts recently posted it in FB that this is for 20php only. Can some one please tell me if this is true????

I love the marketing strategy of Magnum, almost everyone in Ortigas is eating these, but i was wondering if they will last until the end of summer.

Tahoooooooooooooooo...

I remember sugar who just recently posted something about taho. which remind me of posting this.

This taho station is located in Robinsons supermarket. We actually bought a voucher from ensogo and it only cost us 15php or 25php for 2, i cannot really remember.

A extra large taho, which we didn't finish. But i still prefer to buy taho from MANG-TATAHO ( Taho vendor) because the taste is not that close.

How about you guys, when was the last time you've tasted taho?

Just got a MAGNUM experience

Just recently Selecta just released their new ice cream product Magnum here in the Philippines, but it was 1st launch in the US in 2011. Every one is taking about Magnum, that's why my partner try to buy 2 classic flavor, just to feed our curiosity.Based on their commercial, you will be treated like a royal and they said it was made with Belgian chocolate.

Honestly speaking, i don't know what is the taste of Belgian Chocolate, but i love chocolate. as long as it was made by Hersheys and Lindt.

<img "me="" border="0" cooking"="" height="446" loves="" src="http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6235/7000604687_d0f8e0fe63_z.jpg" width="640" />

After tasting it, all i can say is i love the thick coated chocolate that's all. This ice cream cost 50 pesos, bought at 711 which i think its a good price. But i still choose to buy a gallon of ice cream so that i can share it with my family.

How about you guys, have you tasted it?

Food trip: Ling Nam

I was wondering why since February ling nam in fontera verde never opens ? hmmmm?.

Every pay day me and my partner never failed to eat at any fine dining restaurant or even try food that we haven't tasted yet, we are doing this as our stress reliever from work and one of them is ling nam. The first food that i tasted form them is there pansit.

<img "="" border="0" cooking"="" height="300" loves="" me="" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7054/6839605262_804dd8b590_b.jpg" width="400" />

Pancit MIKIBIHON !!! I really recommend their pancit and thanks to Nurse MJ my previous colleague who treat us with Pancit ( Pampahaba ng buhay ), their makibihon has a different kick for me, that's why i decided to visit there restaurant to taste their food.

<img "="" border="0" cooking"="" height="480" loves="" me="" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7204/6839606482_5f3f8cf741_b.jpg" width="640" />

TAPSILOG

<img "="" border="0" cooking"="" height="400" loves="" me="" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7184/6985727321_147cacef28_b.jpg" width="300" />

Black Gulaman

Sweet and sour pork

When is saw their menu, i took me 10 min to decide what to eat, i cannot choose and because there's no waiter available to ask about their best seller, that's why we ended up eating these, same old same old chinese dishes. All i can say is, i still love their pansit and i still prefer Chowking's black gulaman. Well i should try their other food because my taste with tapsilog is really different and like Tapsilog made local TAPSILOGAN.

It was suppose to be a group dates with our BFF's and i don't know what hit there heads and decide not to go. Any way. After deciding on what shelves to buy, we end up buying clothes at St. Francis and some earrings from F21 which i posted here.

And for you information this is the first time i ate at TGI Fridays. So let me tell you my yummy experience. We order Jack Daniels Baby Back Ribs with Fries and Shrimp. I was expecting a different taste but i got disappointed after tasting it, the first thing that hits my mind is BIGBY's and Burgoo's. I love the other two's rib flavor than this one, but their shrimp taste better than the two.

This platter cost Php. 935.00 which really cost a fortune and Bigby's ribs is much better that this. That's why instead of us ordering other dishes, we just decided to stay long and have a chit chat. But at least we've tasted and wil not gonna go back here again and waiters their are not friendly.

This is just my opinion based on my experience. But this store has allot of customer and i bet allot of people really love their food and maybe the taste of their food is not really my type. That's all ...

Food Trip: AA BBQ Cebu

The Original AA BBQ is located in San Roque Cebu City, but they have allot of branches for you to choose from depending on your location.

This BBQ store was introduce to me by Gen, one of m beauty blogger friend who first went to Cebu to celebrate the Sinulog festival.

Though BBQ is not new to me, but i wanna try this since they said it has a different type of serving. It is like a self service food house. You can grab as many as raw BBQ and place it on your plate, then you will give it to the attendant for them to grilled it.

They have allot of BBQ that you can choose from, from dried , marinated food or fresh fish. It's kinda like sutukil as well.

And here are the cooked food that we ordered. Like the Spicy Grilled Giant Squid.

This is the Grilled Dried Squid

seaweed salad.

And Liempo

I didn't took the picture of the pork BBQ and Sinigang na Tanigue anymore since it came late and we are too busy eating & i know most of you guys already know how does it look like. Their prices range from 15 to 80 pesos which is not bad right.

So for those who are thinking on going to Cebu and looking for a very affordable food to eat. Better try AA BBQ.

The Original AA BBQ
M.J. Our friends sha told us about this, that's why before going to Mactan Airport, we decided to take our lunch here.

<img "me="" border="0" cooking"="" height="300" loves="" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7171/6780408103_771d504492.jpg" width="400" />

We cannot choose which SUTUKIL to try since there's 4 restaurant who's serving this. Instead we Choose freds sutukil, since they have a nice place and ambiance.

At first you have to choose which fish you want and then you will decided whether you want, grilled, with soup or just service it as raw. I don't know how they will service it as raw since i cannot see any sushi on their list.

<img "me="" border="0" cooking"="" height="480" loves="" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7156/6780405741_86a2cd01a1.jpg" width="640" />

Good Burger is the name of a Burger store who serve chicken and vegetable patties only. It is a small store along C5 Pasig Area. Good Burger was first introduce to me by our team leader, we walk for 5mins and cross the bridge just to buy a Burger. ( Lakas Tama lng) At first, i was thinking that it is not worth to walk for 5 mins just to buy a burger, but i was wrong. Their burger is ooolalala!!!

<img "="" "me="" border="0" cooking"="" height="480" loves="" me="" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7020/6642665215_b81d29aca0.jpg" width="640" />

This picture above is what they called Persian Burger this only cost me Php.80.00

<img "="" "me="" border="0" cooking"="" height="480" loves="" me="" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7144/6642664393_5227cbde7d.jpg" width="640" />

And this burger is what they called Bacon Mozza Melt for Php100.00 . The strip that you see on the side is there Vegetables strips, that cost 35php/small bag . Hihihi, so cheap right. There allot of travels who really stop to their shop just to buy their amazing burger. Their price is depending on their sauce flavor and burger size, whether you want a GOOD, BETTER or BEST ( Double Pattie). So if you haven't tried this yet, just drop by to these location or even order over the phone.
I hope you have a blast last new years eve. Me and my partner just stayed home and spend the whole New Year together. And for this new year to be more memorable, i made a special dish for he. I made 2 pasta, one is the same old same old red sauce pasta and the other one is Garlic Pasta with Chicken Diane. How i did it?... here we go.

<img border="0" height="480" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7024/6619793001_2b3d5713e2.jpg" width="640" "me loves cooking" />

For Pasta:

With a cooked pasta, i put olive oil, salt, pepper and garlic powder.

For Chicken:

I marinate this Chicken breast with salt, pepper, thyme and placed it on a foil for 2 hrs and friend it on a medium heat pan with butte and oil. Some say cooked it 4minutes on each side, but for me i like a well cooked chicken.

For Diane Sauce:

3 tbsp of chopped parsley

2 tbsp of mustard

2 tbsp cup of lime or lemon

1/4 cup of chicken broth

2 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce

1/2 cup of thicken cream (optional )

brandy ( optional)

Direction:

On a medium heat pan, add all the ingredients and stir it for 15 seconds.

Serve the pasta, chicken and place the Diane sauce on the top of your chicken and you are done.

So there you go guys, hope you really like it. And have a grateful New Year to all!!!

It was a not so special Tuesday for us because we only have 1 day off and we make sure that we will consume our 1 days off to have fun and relax. After buying some gift for our x'mas exchange gift, we ate at Yakimix and go to Platinum KTV bar in metrowalk, and thanks to JR tonie's hubby for treating us for videoke.

Yakimix is a EAT-ALL-YOU-CAN Korean, Japanese and Cantonese buffet, a sushi, smokeless grill restaurant. I love sushi and thanks to my dad who introduce me to sushi and Japanese food. And to my mom who introduce me to Chinese food because without those experience, i will not appreciate this food.

<img "me="" border="0" cooking"="" height="480" loves="" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7166/6532208073_5728018003.jpg" width="640" />

When we first arrive here, it was 6:00pm and there's no large crowd that time. Good thing we arrived at the right time to avoid long queue's and to avoid reservations. As you can see i really tried all of the different types of sushi and it really value my money. And good thing it took us 30 mins to get another plate while waiting for tonie, at least we didn't get full easily.

<img "me="" border="0" cooking"="" height="480" loves="" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7026/6532206169_214754f898.jpg" width="640" />

When i saw their smokeless grill, i remember my dad's shabu-shabu grill at home that we used to use every Sunday, cooking while eating. Love it. What i like about yakimix serving is that, they're always attentive, once your plate is empty, they will get it right away so that you can use another clean plate for your next batch of food. They always replace those empty buffet place to a new one, so that people don't have to wait to long to get their favorite dishes.

Yakimix non-cooked food are not all seafood's. They also serve pork, chicken and beef. The only thing that i didn't get is their prawn, there's none kasi that time, don't know why.

<img "me="" border="0" cooking"="" height="480" loves="" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7159/6532203693_c130438417.jpg" width="640" />

They also serve, salads and deserts. Soup and you can choose or create you own sauce for the grilled food and remember not to eat allot of rice if you want to to taste all of it. And it is better to have a long chit chat while eating when you are eating at eat-all-you-can restaurants.

<img "me="" border="0" cooking"="" height="480" loves="" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7002/6532206985_c6ff403686.jpg" width="640" />

And of course, i also taste their cooked food as well. Please don't compare this one to DAD's, bec. dad's really has allot of food to choose from and their price is also sulit with the food that they serve.

At longt last, Happy Lemon is at SM Megamall. NO need for me to go to Greenhills just to try it. And yes, i can already say two thumbs up for their milk tea.

Before, i see bloggers posting something about Happy lemon drinks, twitting on how good their drinks are. And i am one of them now, who can prove that their tea is really really good.

<img "="" "me="" border="0" cooking"="" height="300" loves="" me="" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7174/6531880493_1449c79973.jpg" width="400" />

<img "="" "me="" border="0" cooking"="" height="300" loves="" me="" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7032/6531884447_1aeb9c674c.jpg" width="400" />

Happy lemon at SM Megamall today is just their dry run, their shop is not yet fully fix. We were suppose to go to Starbucks today buy i decide to go here instead just to taste it before going home.

I ordered Cocoa Milk tea with brown sugar for 95.00php, at first i was thinking of ordering their lemon drink ( sorry i forgot the name ) but i said to my self to try the milk tea first before trying something else.

<img "="" "me="" border="0" cooking"="" height="640" loves="" me="" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7171/6531882023_0776a79fb1.jpg" width="480" />

And for those people who are just near SM Megamall, try this one out it is really good. Their prices range from 95 to 100++ i think. Sorry if i cannot provide the complete price and drink flavor details since i was on a hurry to go home.

<img "me="" border="0" cooking"="" height="400" loves="" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7021/6531883223_2a362c6838.jpg" width="300" />
