Here’s another interesting point, rice and Sushi is usually a love & hate relationship for Japanese buffets. While you want rice to go with your sushi, too much of it will fill you up quickly. One of the core principles of Matsuda is to make delicious food that doesn’t over-stuff you. To them, that means more seafood and less rice. They’re so confident of their fresh ingredients and cooking that they want you to experience all their different dishes, and there’s quite the wide selection too!

Here’s a great tip, call in first to reserve a table. It’s usually fairly busy, filled with all the locals who love the place. And here’s another one of my favourite tricks for any Japanese AYCE restaurants, don’t wait for your table of food to run out before ordering more. If you know you’ll be ordering another round after, do it ahead of time so there’s no waiting in between. Works for me every time!

They seriously don’t hold back on their flavours, so if you’re ordering the spicy dishes, make sure you can take the heat! And if you like curry, you’ll love the intense flavour and texture of their authentic curry, definitely not watered down like in some other places.

Most people are pleasantly surprised when they see the large selection on their menu. From Dim Sum, to Peking Duck, to fresh Lobsters and seafood, to hearty traditional Chinese soups, everything is made to order and extremely fresh. They have many unique dishes too, so you’ll never be bored as you can try something new every time.

You can tell they are focused on providing good customer service too, attracting plenty of couples and family gatherings to their restaurant. Don’t worry though, their prices are even better. Everything from the Dim Sum, Value combos, to their 10 Course Meals are some of the best value you’ll find in the city.
