Your Smokies Kicks Off Funding to Support The Elk Bugle Corp in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Disgusted by the tragic poaching of Bull Elk #21 inside the Great Smoky Mountains national park, the owner of Mean Cash Inc and all of the Your Smokies Web Sites Christopher Hibbard kicked off a memorial fund for this worthy cause with a $1,000 donation.

Christopher Hibbard is a member of the Elk Bugle Corp national park volunteers and is a strong supporter of Friends of the Smokies who set up the fund within days of the poaching incident.

The hope is with proper funding, the Elk Bugle Corp an all volunteer organization which helps educate the public about the North American Elk Restoration program in the Great Smoky Mountains national park, will be able to function better as the eyes and ears of the park service in the Cataloochee Valley and discourage any further incidents of poaching as well as improve the visitor experience for hundreds of thousands of visitors a year to the valley.

The Great Smoky Mountains National Park chapter of the Elk Bugle Corp was formed and 2007 and has grown from 36 members to 81 volunteers on 2009. 2010 will now be the first year the Elk Bugle Corp will have a budget and funds to spend on necessary equipment.

All donations go directly to equipment and not to any administration expenses.

Your Smokies Information web site is now entering its 5th year of covering the North Carolina and Tennessee Smoky Mountains and has just split off most of its business listings to the brand new Your Smokies Directory in anticipation of its continued explosive growth and the changes we are projecting in the Search Engine Industry.

Most travel related business will continue to be listed on the main Your Smokies Informational web site, but the listings of other business in the N Carolina and Tennessee Smokies such as Real Estate agents and offices, banks, car repair, retail stores, jewelry stores, outlet malls and more have been moved to the Your Smokies Directory.

Both sites easily interconnect for ease of its visitors and of course Your Smokies News will promote news of interest for both Your Smokies and the new Your Smokies Directory.

It has been a long road since Mean Cash started operations in 2001 and we can keep in the excitement of what we are launching any more.

In the past few months we have started releasing our new directory web sites - three in all with the largest one to be released in late 2007.

Unfortunately with all of the spam we have to deal with on a daily basis with all of our sites, you can no longer post comments to this or any of our other blogs without them being moderated

As long as you do not spam or post obscene material we welcome all comments and suggestions and will post all of them whether we agree with them or not.

So many spam and scam emails pour into our inboxes every day, we built My Crap Mail dot COM and list may of the culprits and expose the scams> We have also instituted an extremely strict spam policy. We are sorry to take such drastic measures but a few unreasonable people have forced us to make this move.

On a last note, in order to keep our mail system from being overloaded by mountains of spam we use Spam Blocker Pro.
