Today I went back to school and saw Jerome who told me something that made my day.

Apparently, the judgemental person I've talked about a few times before also known as ~head too big for le bodeh~, did really shittily for his N Levels and, according to Jerome, even CRIED after seeing his results.

BRB LOLING!!!

Ok I know I am being an asshole but hey, he was the one who had the time of his life laughing at and judging me as if he was even in the position to do so in the first place. Now look who's laughing, and look who's crying!

Omg... and him being a retainee and dropping to another stream... now he's there... by the time he finishes his education he'll be 45.

Like how a teacher in my secondary school liked judging me so much back then but now she's ballooned and gained so much weight!

It's really hilarious how some people like to say so many shit things about me thinking they can be so much better than me but hey, look who's laughing now! I'm doing better than so many of you jerks!

I can't wait for my turn when karma would finally come bite me in the ass. COME AT ME BRO

On second thought, maybe it already has come in the form of losing all my Mahjong games so far... hmmm...

Today I was invited by the school to give... a motivational talk. I KNOW RIGHT!!!

I managed to get Philana and Eva, my "supporters", to film my speech for the classes I gave the talk to, namely 4E1 and 4E2. Maybe I'll upload it... or maybe not, because it's so embarrassing HAHAHA.

But hey, I really had a great time sharing my learning experience through the O Levels period. I already made a disclaimer at the start saying that I'm going to include a lot of cliché things and that I personally don't even believe in these talks so I guess it's okay.

Although I feel that these kind of things can't be accurately put to words because it's something that one really has to go through him or herself in order to really understand what I'm trying to get at. I realised that I was just beating around the bush because somehow, there is no way to get to the point!

I want to tell them to find something to work hard towards, but I was basically just circling around you know... finding where you want to go after O Levels... find out what motivates you... where your drive is that... which is of course, cliché, and just seems like a load of shit. If I was in their shoes, I would think that I am full of shit and would have given myself a tight slap.

When I was tasked to do the talk, it took me just one night to think of 5 pages worth of what to say, and it actually lasted for around 30 minutes just to finish them all! It's ridiculously long man! But it was a breeze for me to say it because it was all my opinions so they are naturally retained inside my memory already, so there wasn't any problem in the delivery.

The unfortunate thing is that I was kind of nervous? And I kind of flustered around with the 5 sheets of paper printed on rough paper in shitass condition (if you received my talk today you would have seen the papers) so I missed out on A LOT OF POINTS.

I told myself after telling 4E1 that I will get my shit together and say everything as intended to 4E2. Unfortunately, I didn't, and went on to even exclude an important part that I didn't tell 4E2.

If you're from 4E2 and reading this, remember how I talked about my 2 motivational factors? Although I only talked about 1?! Which was the speech day buffet, but never got around to say the second one? Omg that was the dumbest mistake I could ever make. Completely slipped my mind.

But like I said I really enjoyed myself! I'm glad that I even managed to get the classes to laugh. In fact I even got 4E1's form teacher to laugh! Achievement Unlocked! I was soooo afraid she would just roll her eyes at me throughout the entire speech.

Admittedly 4E1 had more laughs than 4E2 so naturally I was more comfortable speaking with them. Both were a great experience nonetheless, and I wouldn't mind doing it again. I especially wanted to make sure that the talk was interesting and funny because being a student myself, I KNOW that motivational talks are bloody boring, and I didn't want it to be just like any other talk that just drones on and on.

I always wanted to do something different from the others and add a touch of humour in it because that's what makes students listen isn't it.

Just like how I was telling Ms Lim that I am always willing to come back and help the school like this motivational talk because I wanted to be different from the other top scorers.

From what I have observed, the top scorers in previous years simply got their results, disappeared, came back for speech day, gone for good. Why do I want to be just like any of them? I just feel like it's a selfish action. I mean, sure, they all went to a JC so they're busy, but I feel like an effort could be done as a way to show your appreciation to how your school made you get to where you are today.

Let's just be honest. Had Marcus been the top scorer, and if Miss Lim asked him to come back to give a motivational talk, would he have done it? Maybe public speaking is not their thing, but would he even come back and help for just a little bit, not necessarily talking? I don't think so. (Sorry Marcus but you know I've always been honest with you)

It's these little things that I try to do that really makes me happy and willing to help. The fact that the pupils even said that my talk was interesting, funny, good etc really made my day. Some even felt motivated by my nonsense! Like I mentioned in my talk, even being at the top is lonely sometimes, and I am really glad to see that the students enjoyed it.

If you're from 4E1 or 4E2, this is to show my appreciation for your attention! It doesn't even matter if 1 person laughed or the whole class laughed, I'm just happy you didn't fall asleep, because I fell asleep for almost all the motivational talks I've ever attended, so thank you! I hope that in the near future I'll be able to speak to students more and try to help them as well.

USA 2011 Part 1.0 -- The Journey

Iiiii have never been on a flight that lasted more than 8 hours so naturally for this trip I was getting my ass (literally) ready for its imminent predicament.

Fortunately for me, the flight to the states was split into two with the first being a transit at Japan and then to Atlanta after which we would take another domestic flight to the destination state.

Unfortunately for me, it was a morning flight so I didn't really sleep the night before. Only for about 2 hours until 1am.

I should have woken up by 1am but I didn't until 20 minutes later so I had to turn on my ninja mode and got changed within less than 5 minutes. This is what joining a uniformed group as your CCA in secondary school does to your sad miserable life.

The trip to Tokyo took about 6 hours and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would, and of course I am talking about my butt.

Eva and I were assigned seats to the last row which, correct me if I'm wrong, is mainly reserved for people with special needs? How lovely. The seats don't even recline all the way back! It only reclines like 10 degrees. Plus it's my first time sitting on an aisle seat that is not on a budget plane.

The air vents were also so cold that I had a flu for the 2 international flights! I have never felt more horrible while travelling.

Omelette with roasted potatoes, a lonesome cherry tomato and ham which does not even look remotely like it. Don't you like how disgusting the omelette looks? It's actually pretty nice, although it doesn't seem to taste like egg. Hmmm... ;)

I have to express my love for the bun to the side because it was pleasantly filled with chocolate chips! I thought they were raisins, and I bet you did too. Bitch.

I also watched Horrible Bosses on the plane which is bloody hilarious and I feel like I have something in common with Julia (Jennifer Aniston) in the movie in which we are both extremely horny people. Anyway...

At the transit in Tokyo's Narita Airport

Upon reaching Tokyo we only had one thing in our mind which is McDonald's. Why? First of all we wanted to prep ourselves before entering obese land. Secondly, WE MISS MCPORK SO MUCH!!!

It's nice that we are able to meet again, McPork. It's been a long, 2 years since I last sank my crooked teeth into your sweet, succulent meat. Now my teeth are straight.

The customs when going to the US are a real bitch because first of all, it is compulsory to take off your shoes when they are scanning your belongings. How annoying! It's already bad enough you have to take off your belt, and I was wearing loose jeans too.

Also, I was engaged in the infamous PATDOWN!!! I think my belt made the metal detector go off when I walked past because I was too lazy to take it out.

The officer was really nice though so I didn't feel sexually violated. (This thus makes me 1000x more vulnerable to rape right now) He didn't really touch my penis, kinda just went above it at the groin area. No, I was not turned on. Ahem.

I thus conclude that it was not worth the hype! I was expecting things to get more intense... more hot... more steamy... OK WHAT.

The next flight to Atlanta took a whopping 11.5 hours which is shorter than what I had anticipated (13 hours) but terrifying nonetheless.

We were seated at the last row again in the aisle and this time joined by an American lady who, as I eavesdropped on her conversation with an air stewardess because it's the most classy thing to do, is apparently some big shot who knows a lot about airplanes.

I watched both Harry Potter movies for Deathly Hallows again and I also watched Insidious which was way better than I expected! It's so scary, I loike.

Chicken pasta which sucked hard

One thing I've ALWAYS *ahem* liked about Delta is how unpredictable their flight attendants are.

The batch of flight attendants you get for each flight is almost as if it's decided by throwing a coin. One side you get the bitches and the other you get the lovely angels.

For this flight unfortunately we got people with bitch faces. Either that or they distance themselves from you because you're Asian. Paranoid? I don't think so!!!

Anyway during my flight to Atlanta, I realised I took the wrong immigration form. So I called for an attendant and asked in these very words: "Hi, can I have two of these? *points to correct form I'm holding from Eva's mother*" in the best, natural American accent I could muster.

She seemed a little bewildered at first but after that I repeated myself and she got it. Then she came back with the correct form. Marvellous. Took a look at it.

IT WAS IN JAPANESE.

The good news is I look Japanese. The bad news is I didn't understand a single shit. Fortunately enough we had an English copy so we were able to do it anyway.

A mid-flight snack. A little crossoint with fresh fruit and amazing chocolate chip cookies.

And another meal (goodness gracious). The eggs were horrible but the pork sausage was delish. There was also fresh fruit, orange juice and bread and butter.

In other news about the flight en route to Atlanta, I also took a shit which of course always feels great.

Unfortunately I made a real mess in the toilet because I washed my face and there was a lot of water on the ground. The worst part is that somebody was waiting to get into the toilet immediately after I finished, so they would know it's that fat, Asian asshole who messed up.

We left the house at 2:30AM (17 Nov) and when we reached Tokyo, it was 1:30PM (17 Nov) Tokyo time, after which we boarded the plane to Atlanta at 3:25PM (17 Nov), and arrived at Atlanta on 17 November, 1:15PM. And they said time travelling is impossible. Suckaaaas.

All these time zone differences did fuck my senses though. They just kept shoving food down our throats in the planes that I couldn't even tell if they were serving breakfast, lunch or dinner.

When we left the aircraft an air stewardess even said "Enjoy your evening!" happily when it's still broad daylight outside which just confused me even further.

Of course, you know you are in America when the FIRST THING you hear is 2 black girls discussing about their weaves, guuuuuurrrrl!

There are so many fat people around that it makes me look like I voms my noms all the time. (which may or may not be true) Lovezxzsx it! Everyone is so hospitable though, which is of course, just like me. Hospitable. AHEM.

This government building, according to this TV show we were watching just right then, is haunted. The two founders of the building had a conflict over something, and when they died, both of their graves were put side by side there.

It's rumoured that you can hear the two of them still quarreling in the middle of the night! ooooOOOOoooOOOooooOOOOoo. What pussies.

And I love the hotel so fucking much. For every new guest they each get one of their special chocolate chip cookie, which may I just say is absofuckinglutely delicious.

CDs of the month! (#25)

I think braised chicken is amazing.

As mentioned a few days back I received Siti Nurhaliza's All Your Love from Jiarong as one of his gifts! (Which he said was going to be judge-worthy)

I even remember tweeting recently that I saw the album in HMV for about $14 but didn't want to buy it because I was sure it would go on discount soon LOL. Looks like that problem is solved!

Siti said that she recorded an English album just as a momento for her career as a singer but I just think that this is a rushed mess of an album. Yes, the album is something Siti has never done before, but it is also something that many others have done before! So it doesn't really bring anything new to the table. Plus I think this album kinda makes Siti look like a sell-out who is recording an English album for the sake of doing one.

Nonetheless I still enjoy some of the tracks on the album, but if Siti is going to make another English album I hope it's not as generic as this LOL.

Kuu's long-awaited 10th studio album! Which also came with 2 clear files as a bonus for each edition and is something that I will probably never use.

When the package arrived at my doorstep, Shandy and Sophia was at my house and both of them were judging me so severely because they don't understand my stupid obsession of spending money on these things HAHA. Like how I don't understand why Shandy is a princess.

Opening the CD+2DVD

Tada! Just like her 2008 album Kingdom, all 17 tracks on this album has a music video! (excluding the introduction and interlude) Although I think it was a last minute decision as a promotional tactic since she's pregnant and all.

I must say that this album is way better than Kingdom though. In fact I'd probably call it one of her best! I didn't think she'd be able to top Dejavu, but this shit is some pretty fucking good shit!

The HUGE ass limited edition! Although it was smaller than I envisioned it to be. This comes with the CD edition, a photobook (below the CD) and a 2012 schedule book which I am, once again, never gonna use (on the left)

I preordered the limited edition before they announced what the limited goods were, and when I found out it was only like this I considered cancelling my order because it just seems like a waste of money (like most of the CDs in my collection).

But then I opened the photobook and totally shat bricks.

HBIC, JNTM, MILF ETC. ETC.

Out of the 32-page photobook, I like every single photo. Seriously. And I can't believe this bitch is actually turning 30 this year. Plus I think this book is very ideal as a coffee table book, although I think they are pointless in general lol

(2012.02.01) ayaka - The beginning (CD+DVD | Limited Edition)

My gurl ayaka is back from her hiatus!!!

She was diagnosed with Grave's disease around 2008 / 2009 and it's some scary shit because it kinda makes your eyes pop out or something along that line. Thank goodness she's recovered!

Very simple packaging, but there's something sexy about it that I can't put a finger on. There's also a photobook which is completely filled with pictures of the sky over a period of time taken by ayaka herself. How lovely.

I haven't taken my ~virgin listen~ of the album yet because I didn't have the time to but I hopefully can tomorrow. I'm also glad that she's releasing the album without any lead singles because I personally like this kind of system better.

And speaking of not having any lead singles, Ayu's upcoming album also won't have any! So happy! For once, Ayu fans will not be so anal when reviewing the album, saying things like "Oh the singles tracks are so much better than the album tracks." Now everything is on fair ground. I loike.

It's already the first of February and I am honestly looking forward to the start of school already! Which is in 2 more months!

Who would have thought that my tweet actually got me to know some of my future coursemates already? I feel like they are all my long lost siblings, though that would mean my parents fucked a hell lot of times la but that's not the point.

Unlike most of the people I've met in my secondary school life, these bunch of people are actually really sociable and I feel like I share a lot of things in common with them. I even found a fellow J-Pop fan who doesn't simply listen to songs tied to animes! What are the chances?

Usually when you first meet somebody there is always that sense of awkwardness but I am actually very comfortable talking to them. I know it's all through the internet and I may not feel the same way communicating in real life but I think it's nice to see people willing to socialise and communicate before the beginning of school.

The reason why I was so afraid that this would not turn out good was an incident in 2009 that took place during my Unit Instructor's Program.

I missed the first day of the contact session because I had to attend my unit's annual camp, so I missed out on quite a lot of things especially when it's the first day. I was a bit worried because I didn't want a situation where everyone knows each other except me and already formed their own cliques, which will make the subsequent sessions awkward as hell.

I sent an email to all my group mates, telling them that I missed out on the first session while at the same time introducing who I am. Basically I just portrayed myself to be a friendly person la!

I only received a reply from this Raffles guy (who, may I add, is the only nice guy I've ever talked to from RI) who told me that I didn't miss much and all that. The rest? Macam dead like that.

Went back for second contact session. When I told them that I was Travis, they'd say in a monotonous tone, "Oh so you're that... meat... pao gmail guy ah," and just not say anything else. It would probably have been less awkward had I not sent the email, seriously.

Some of them even DISTANCED themselves from me and one idiot from Jurong Sec even called me siao! OMG LA my email didn't even say shit like "I fap to porn on a regular basis, looking for a partner to accompany"

Based on that experience alone it then became a "once bitten, twice shy" kind of thing. But I just can't simply not do it for so long because I just like to talk to people! To be honest some of the people I've met in the UIP have been the worst people to communicate with!

That's why I was so skeptical of doing the same thing to my Mass Comm mates because I don't want history to repeat itself and lagi best, for 3 straight years. To my pleasant surprise, this was not the case :)

My only concern is that the intake for Mass Comm is 180, whereas the group of us only include 20 or so people. I'm scared the other 160 will be like the UIP people again!!!

The DPA students have already started school and I can see that they've bonded really well during this period of time too, so I am just afraid that there will be a social segregation when school starts.

Oh well, it is what it is! I've pretty much decided that I'll just go with the flow whatever happens. We'll see, we'll see.

Seventeeeeeeen Magaziiiiiine

As a respite from having spent $130 on clothes yesterday and burning the side of mouth from a scalding hot piece of deep fried wanton, I shall bask in the pleasantness of having recently turned 17! Ain't sexteen no more!

Unfortunately, I had to work from 2pm - 10pm on the actual day itself and even Kimora said "You're still young, you need to have a life!"

I figured that taking an off day would be pointless since I'm not one to throw extravagant parties for my birthdays and even last year, my birthday was spent in school! Got CCA some more!

I guess I also didn't mind working because I celebrated my birthday throughout the week anyway. By throughout the week I really mean only 3 days... :(

2 days before on the 17th, Darren treated Edrie, Sophia and I to Pizza Hut!

This is the CNY special which is fucking nice, and it doesn't even have pork! Impressive.

And of course after the meal our favourite resident drug addict, Sophia, decided to do something creative:

On the 18th, 2 of my colleagues knew my birthday was the next day (because I shamelessly said it multiple times in everybody's faces which I think irritated Agnes Monica LOL) but that happened to be their off day!

So they were sweet enough to get me this after they knocked off!

In the shape of a turd. But I have to say it is the finest tasting piece of shit I've ever tasted, and I may or may not be trying to insinuate that I've tasted shit before.

On the very same day, at 11:59PM, I heard the doorbell ring which of course raised not just my eyebrows but my pubes as well because I wasn't wearing any underwear (My birthday what cannot meh) but I was so lazy I didn't bother to put any on before I opened the door.

I looked into the peephole and saw what just might be the most embarrassing sight of 2012. It was Sophia and Edrie desperately trying to light up a candle to no avail HAHA.

So I immediately opened the door in one swift movement and shouted "FAIL!!!!" POTONG STIM OR WHAT! They then started to curse and swear for not covering the peephole.

I forgive you, Edrie and Sophia, because I don't need a candle to be lighted on the absolutely expensive and high class Oreo Cheesecake from McCafé.

They did make this for me though which is so nice of them, and they are rarely nice to anybody.

Totally loving the obscenely written CHINA MAN everywhere. I was mostly amazed by how fat I was last time, and the worst part is how back then, I would keep defending myself saying that I was not! ~Thank god for bulimia~

They also got me a toy which helps lazy people like me grab onto things from a distance and a jacket from Uniqlo which looks amazing! Although later on they admitted that they only bought it when it was on sale. Potong stim.

The next day on ~my birthday itself~ the morning shift people bought a cake for me! How nice of them! Although I know I buay paiseh kept going "IT'S MY BIRTHDAY TOMORROW!!!" I didn't expect anybody to do anything for me!

So nice riiiight? Then later on in the night my supervisor shouted to the entire queue of customers that it's my birthday today, good lord. He also said he'd get a girl to kiss me but didn't in the end LOL.

Therefore for my birthday this year I've eaten a total of 3 different cakes, which is just about the same number of yusheng I've had this CNY.

Then on the 21st I went to watch Wicked with Jiarong!

Actually it isn't really to celebrate my birthday but I just didn't want to make myself seem so pathetic. Jiarong did pass me my presents on that day though,which is an utter trollfest.

First he got me Siti Nurhaliza's All Your Love. Then remember how I was so sad over SP's goodie bag running out? Well, from the bag he gave me the thing to coil your earpiece around, a ruler and a pen. Irritate.

The musical was pretty fucking amazing though. I'm so impressed!!! I think everyone should go watch it and PLEASE GET CAT A TICKETS. The view is just about right and totally worth the price.

You know what's not worth the price though? The merchandise. I strongly discourage buying the soundtrack there because it's 30 fucking dollars! Other CD stores only sell it for like, $20? Ish?

I ended up buying only a T-Shirt because even that costs $40. But I like it so it's okay. I contemplated the $30 water bottle but decided not to since it's made of metal and I keep having the impression that it would give a metallic taste to my water. Don't judge me.

That is how I spent my eventful birthday week! Of course, I can't wait to be 18 next year because that would bring me one year closer to gaining entry into Lucky Plaza's House of Condom.

Class Chalet (or as I like to pronounce it as, Challot)

So we had our class chalet during the first week of Jan and it was fucking awesome!!! Although 5 years down the road I'll probably have to go check if I have lung cancer because of all the shit I inhaled while barbecuing.

But it was nice being around my classmates again and the food everyone brought was fucking amazing. Like Nazurah's fried rice and Edrie's agar agar. Not to mention the barbecued food was excellent, especially those that I cooked myself!!!

The toilets looked really dirty to me although they are actually really clean, and somehow overnight the toilet in my room had some weird stench from nowhere but I eventually switched rooms anyway.

During the second day I was enjoying ~the sea breeze~ as pictured above but the princess from Centris aka Shandy kept complaining about how bored she was! She even said bullshit like "I think ah, the sun at Kallang got something wrong one!"

There was also this REALLY embarrassing incident that happened between me and Gerald.

I saw that he was wearing this T-Shirt from Hang Ten with rosewood font and I went "Hang Ten, seriously?" in a mocking tone.

Turns out, I myself was wearing a plain Hang Ten tee and Gerald promptly replied "Hang Ten, seriously?" back.

OMG FUCKING EMBARRASSING!!! Seriously a real life example of say people say yourself. Or as the more atas people say it, ~*le pot calling le
kettle black*~.

I have my own version of this using religion but I don't want to be labelled racist.

I guess that's all I have to say about the chalet. I didn't get to rent a Mahjong set because the stupid thing costs $25 to rent. With everything that we do for the first time, you might think that it is very enjoyable, and your head is all like "This job is fucking easy, I can do this for the rest of my life!"

That was, unfortunately, what I had thought at first during my first few days at work. I was wrong.

Don't get me wrong!!! I have friendly colleagues who are amazing and I'm also working at the same place as Philana and Desmond, although I can't trust Desmond anymore because he tells me the wrong things all the time, and I enjoy talking to customers and serving them, which is just about as lifeless as it gets.

But the thing is... my bosses can be a motherfucking son of a bitch. And you know who they are?

CUSTOMERS.

Some of them are really friendly and genuinely nice and they just make my job a whole lot easier and better. I acknowledge and appreciate that.

But some customers are just NASTY!

I work in retail so it is a fucking pain in the ass when it comes to difficult customers.

Here's one that happened just 2 days ago! This woman from China wanted this leather jacket REALLY badly from the mannequin, and that was the only one left because it was already sold out.

Our store only allows customers to RESERVE it first, and will be contacted within 2 weeks when it has been taken down from the mannequin. However, she doesn't want to reserve it because the stupid cheebye kept saying in Chinese that she wants to try it on.

She was really DAMN annoying! She kept repeating the sentences "I really want this jacket", "I don't want to reserve", "I really hope you can take it down now" FOR LIKE 10 000 TIMES. I even called the other outlets and just like any other day, no response. In the end she just left her contact number and my supervisor and I were so sian, seriously.

Another weird thing about customers is that they would approach me, asking me for a smaller or bigger size of a certain clothing from some godforsaken section of the store. When I ask them where they got it from, they don't even remember where! Insert Jackie Chan face here!

But on a more serious note, working in retail, especially in a place mainly targeted towards women, has made me learn a lot about women.

First of all, they take 10 years to shop in a store. And they like to drag their boyfriends along, with the look of boredom evident on their faces. When you tell them it's the last piece of clothing, they will be all sad and shit, expecting you to grab a new piece from thin air.

Secondly, some are OCD freaks. They expect a new piece from the tiniest and most minor defects. To be very honest, there are times where they would point out a defect and I won't even be able to see it. It's that ridiculous! WHY!!!

Also ah, the store has backrails that come from fitting rooms after people have tried clothing on and don't want them anymore. This backrail is then sent from station to station in the store for us to put them back in their original positions.

But to the customers, they think it is a dimsum restaurant and the backrail is the dimsum trolley where they can just conveniently browse through, making this hanger and that hanger drop. IRRITATE RIGHT!

And some women are fucking barbarians in the store, you have no idea! It's like a fucking madhouse, seriously.

On more than one occasion, I have already packed all the jeans on one of the tables nicely folded and stacked. I walk to the backrail, turn around, AND BAM. IT'S A FUCKING BIG MESS. HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE RIGHT? WHAT ARE THESE WOMEN SMOKING?!?!

And at the end of the day, sometimes we even have to work OT just to clean up the shit that these women leave lying around. I'm talking about clothing all over the floor and on top of the racks. AND I'M NOT EVEN DONE TALKING ABOUT THE CLOTHES LYING ALL OVER THE PLACE.

It is ABSOLUTELY FINE that customers leave the clothes on the stands and racks. But it is NOT fine when customers leave clothes like knitted, wool sweaters on top of the racks where the hangers are.

Do you know how much of a pain it is to take the sweaters off? It will get trapped by the hangers and you have to slowly take it out so you won't damage the clothing! FUCKING IRRITATING. And customers wonder why some of our clothes are damaged.

Before you start to flame me, I KNOW that it is exactly our job to pick up after everyone's shit, but just let me say what I want before I explode. The nature of customers can really affect your mood. There are nice customers who don't throw shit around, and I really appreciate their efforts to keep the place neat. I LOVE YOU ALL.

But for the record, one of my supervisors praised me for my customer service twice okay! You may think I am some kind of bitch to customers during work, but I am actually very helpful, if I may say so myself. I will personally ~escort~ customers to the fitting room or run around the store just to help them find another size. The PMS usually sets in about 5 hours later.

Which is why I think there should be a new form of NS introduced specially for women. It would be a gruelling programme for them to work in the retail industry and experience the shit that they have always been giving to the sales associates. You like to throw clothes around right? Now you will be the one getting thrown clothes at!

And women can undergo this from as early as 12 years old. If they can start puberty earlier than us, they can start NS earlier than us too. Logic or not? MINISTER READING THIS?

Nonetheless, I still like my job a lot because it sucks out all the life inside me and my colleagues are fun people to hang out with, although I have a feeling some of the seniors don't like me.

There are a lot of lookalikes as well! Like Kimora Lee Simmons, Ai Otsuka, Agnes Monica etc. etc. Kimora is the one who I think doesn't like me.

I've also had embarrassing things happen to me like returning to the wrong customer after they ask me to search for something. Damn paiseh, seriously. You just look at their puzzled faces, you know shit just happened. Then there was once the actual customer was right beside the one I approached wrongly! I was like "Oh my god so sorry that was so embarrassing" LOL

And sometimes, as the retarded me has done quite a few times, when a customer says "Thank you so much", I reply with a "You're so welcome." I KNOW!! I can just go kill myself. Sometimes it's worse where I would say "Thank you" back

Bloggers Qiu Qiu and Typicalben also dropped by the store recently! I didn't know if it was Qiu Qiu at first but I eventually knew it was her when I went to tell her to go to the other cashier counter because the one at my side was not available. I didn't acknowledge her because I scared later she get pekcek LOL

Last but not least, I really have no idea if it is a coincidence or what, but for some reason, THE MUSIC PLAYED IN STORES ARE ALL THE SAME!!! I'm not even joking!

I go to my workplace, play this music. I go for my break, pass by the shops, also playing the same music! I don't get it! The music played in my workplace is from one of the staff's mp3 player! I bet they hold this secret meeting somewhere and be all like, "Today we shall discuss the music that shall be played in all stores along Orchard Road to bore the shit out of people." and shit like that.

Either way I hope everyone is enjoying the new year so far because I am despite all the complaints I just ranted out!

I hope I will not get pissed off by anything at work anymore which would bring me to this hopeless place to vent all my anger at.

I took an off day from my work on 7th January to attend JWSS' CCA Open House as well as the Poly Open Houses, and not just that, but I also wanted to see how much of a disaster JWSS is right now.

May I present to you, ladies and gentlemen:

First of all, I am fine if they want to make the parade square like that, because I understand that the ground is always uneven, causing people to trip over.

BUT YOU DO NOT, YOU DO NOT, LISTEN, YOU DO NOT!!!!

TAKE AWAY OUR ICONIC EAGLE!!!!

WHERE'S OUR EAGLE GONE? ARE YOU GONNA SHAVE AWAY THE EAGLE'S NEST TOO? NO, I CAN'T, I CUNT! Where will the eagle be when we Google Maps the school now? I WANT AN ANSWER!!!

Even the teachers don't know if the eagle is gonna be back or not!

I don't think Mr Gan made this change. I think it's someone else, but I will not point names and name blames. And can't they at the very least make the floor colours even? Goodness gracious.

Oh, and I dropped my phone for the first time that day right on the parade square. Even the eagle hidden underneath wants my phone to protest, I'm telling you!

Secondly, WHO THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO MAKE THE DOORS SUCH A HIDEOUS BLUE? WHO THOUGHT THAT?

I asked BOTH students AND teachers and ALL of them thinks it's ugly. GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER! I'm so pissed! I thought the brown doors were nice!

Now everything just looks so dull and stale looking, you know what I mean? Kimora calls it fabulosity, I call it hideosity!

Other than the school's hideous appearance now, I thought the open house was pretty okay. It's nice to see all the familiar faces again, although a lot of teachers are gone now, especially my fav Ms A, Mdm Rubs and Mrs Tan aka ayumi hamasaki!

I also tried to take my EAGLES award that day but the clerk wasn't around. Well, someone was there, but I figured that she's either too lazy to entertain Edrie and I or she doesn't even understand what we're talking.

As for the Poly Open Houses, I only went to NP and SP, just like many others from JWSS because we're so lazy like that.

I only talked to some people at the NP Convention Centre and that's pretty much it. I did get the goodie bag though!!!

Unfortunately, SP ran out of theirs, so irritating! I also went for the Media & Communication tour, which was okay I guess. I'm still mostly bummed by the running out of SP goodie bags. THIS IS NOT THE END!!!

As I mentioned on Twitter, my life... it's a mess! The list is backwards of what it should be LOL.

Either way, I'm happy with the choices I have made. No, the last 2 choices are not to troll anyone. I mean it for real! To me, distance plays an important part of my decision-making. RI is located at Bishan and VJC is located literally on the other end of Singapore. I can't!

I know you are probably fed up of me talking about this JC vs Poly thing but for some reason, the thought of going to a JC is still lingering at the back of my head.

Then as Sze Eng harshly reminded me of the cruel reality that is 1 hour PE lessons the idea immediately vanished.

This whole thing about everybody pressurizing me to choose another school reminds me so much of PSLE when I decided to appeal to JWSS instead when I got 220. I followed my intuition and hey, top scorer y'all! So now, I shall follow my heart as always.

Furthermore, I don't want to be the one who regrets attending JC and wish he had attended poly instead. I've heard one too many stories about that!

Just today I bumped into Ms Lin and asked her if she knew anybody who regretted going to a JC and she said no. On the contrary, it's always the other way round.

What if I get straight Bs for my A Levels? Or even half As half Bs? Bye bye, degree in Mass Comm, and I'm talking about good, reputable universities like Columbia University. Then I will reach the predicament of choosing a degree I don't give two hoots about, or even resort to SIM.

I think it's hilarious how when people get scores like, say, 9, which is close to MCM's cut-off point, people are all like "Oh wow that's a good course! Good choice! Not many people can get in! It's hard!"

But when I get 5 and I want to go to MCM everybody is like "WALAO EH MASS COMM DON'T NEED SO LOW TO GET IN WHAT GO JC LA GO JC LA" OMG FUCKING HYPOCRITICAL!!! I CAN'T!

It's not uncommon for single digit scorers to go into polytechnics, and it's not like I'm even going into Nursing.

People are acting like I'm the only 5-pointer opting for a Poly education in the whole of Singapore, when the fact is I'm only going to be the only top scorer from JWSS going the poly route, which, as an excellent segue, means I'll be setting 3 JWSS records!

And as I've said before, going into Mass Comm has always been something I wanted, so scoring better than expected isn't a good enough reason to change my decision which was already made some 3 years ago.

Plus, I've already planned for my studies all the way to uni already, so I know what I'm doing, and things are going fine.

It takes courage to give JC a shot, struggle, and die, but it also takes courage to choose something against everyone else's wishes.

So bitch, please, I'm going to watch Siti Nurhaliza's documentary now.

So just a little backstory here. I woke up after having a horrific dream that I got a B4 for English. Then I woke up and started to think, and realised that I just might get a B4 after all!

I SMS-ed Miss Teo, who prior to that said our class only got 2 A1s for English, although all of us passed.

In the end she just replied, "I can only say that u'd wish u were more cheena", and this scared the shit out of me because this could go either way -- either my Chinese is making my results awful, or my Maths is awful!

I didn't want to scare myself so early in the morning so I just stayed calm anyway. When I went to school, Edrie and I walked past Mrs Mano and we said a very enthusiastic "Hi!" only to be COMPLETELY IGNORED by her. I can't, seriously.

Halfway through eating my nasi goreng I suddenly had random people congratulating me, with the first being Noel. I was still very doubtful about it because they can't provide a credible source when I ask them. "RUMOURS!" I'd yell in my head (I didn't), although I already had my suspicions la hehehe

People have also been saying that it was circulating around that this year's top student was NOT from 4E1 which raised my hopes AND my eyebrows. Once again, no credible source.

So I just relaxed... until I walked past Yi Xin and he immediately exclaimed "EH HE TOP SCORER LEH"

WA I IMMEDIATELY COVERED MY EARS AND WALKED BACK THE SAME DIRECTION MAN. SHIT SHIT SHIT

Even when I went to the general office to collect my EAGLES award, Mr Aziz saw me and did the "orh-hor" sign to me.

Afterwards in the hall, while sitting down feeling sick to the stomach, remember how Mrs Chong said if Mr Leong came I wouldn't be the top student? Well, HE DID COME!! (NO SEXUAL CONTEXT PLEASE)

Mrs Chong then went on to say that it was "my retribution" because I made the class do the 69 sign in the class photo, which by the way, MADE IT INTO THE YEARBOOK!!! HAHAHA

Then Mr Gan showed the statistics which weren't very impressive because they were below national average, but I lost it when I saw that Computer Studies had 75% distinctions!!! Which is the 6 of us! We also did better than last year's 4E!

And before I could even get my shit together, Mr Gan immediately switched to the next slide and BAM.

I ALREADY PREPARED MYSELF FOR THIS OKAY I TOLD MYSELF "If my name appears... FASTER TAKE PHOTO!" and I did! After which I immediately went apeshit.

I think it's very ironic how I am right at the top over here, but in the very next slide...

I'm right at the bottom.

But omg la 6 FUCKING A1s!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!!! NO WONDER I'D WISH I WERE MORE CHEENA! NO I DON'T, MISS TEO, NO I DON'T!

The teachers are really good at sporting poker faces because they already knew since 8AM! Ms Ho even told me outside the hall about my long hair, and said that she will trim it if I don't do well. Lol!

I DIDN'T GET SPECIAL RECOGNITION LEH!!! I think I should!

First of all, I am the first 6-pointer in JWSS' 11-year history. Secondly, I'M NOT EVEN FROM 4E1! First time ever a non-E1 student became top scorer! Thirdly, there's no thirdly, I'm just fat.

I also found out there's no wooden leaderboard in the school for top pupils... I is sad. But it's okay, because I am still the school's first 6-pointer!

- Humble -

I, personally, don't think I deserve to be called the top pupil. I KNOW!!! I'm not even trying to be humble here, I'm being very serious, and I have reasons why!

First of all, my subject combination is not taken by many of the elites in Singapore. Therefore, I believe the bellcurves of some subjects were tilted towards my favour.

On the other hand, the other top pupils like Marcus (who, by right, should be the top scorer) (but, by left, turns out to be me) and the other 4E1 pupils, are taking pure sciences! Which is very hard to get a distinction for! So I think their efforts are more commendable.

Plus, I only take 7 subjects, and they take 8.

I was even told that in the staff room when the teachers were discussing who the top scorer would be, everybody just said Marcus, or Ella, or Zhi Yang, except only Mr Leong who said me! Even Miss Teo didn't say my name! Miss Teo I am disappoint.

So do I think I am smart? No, I still think I am a retard.

Honestly speaking I never thought I would have become the top scorer, let alone make school history! I've NEVER gotten an A1 for English, I swear. Even when I'm estimating my aggregate in my head, I always put English as an A2 at best.

Oh, and Philana is the second A1 from the class. What an American.

And holy shit, A1 for Combined Science, NEVER IN MY LIFE MAN!

Also, I have to say my Combined Humanities' A1 also came as a huge shock. To be very honest, I wrote some bullshit in my SS paper as well.

For example, in the pictorial source with the many different families, asking us to compare with another source, this is the rough idea of what I wrote:

"In [text source], it states that "something about families having only 2 children," however, in [pictorial source], a family is seen with 3 children, not 2!"

I'M SERIOUS HAHAHA. The pictorial source isn't even like, real pictures of people but just drawings. See? Full of shit. But any juniors seeing this please don't bullshit and play a fool in exams! It was a last resort!

When I got back my results, for some weird reason, everybody automatically assumed that I'm going to JC. Guess what?

I'M NOT!

And when I tell them I'm going to Poly, the most common phrase that comes afterwards is "Fuck you." WALAO EH!!!

In a more reasonable point of view, let me express my reasons.

1. I did not take any Pure Sciences, therefore the foundation is not there. I don't like the idea of having to struggle in JC because there's no time for shit like that.

2. My Chinese is like shit. That B3 is a total combo breaker.

3. I already mug like shit for O Levels, you want me to do that for another 2 years? I DON'T THINK SO

In a more "unreasonable" manner,

Why the hell are you even not happy that I'm going to Poly? My mind, since Day 1, has already been set on Poly. So what if I did better than I expected? Does that mean I should give it up to be somewhere I never want myself to be in? I don't think so, buddy.

What if I struggle in JC and end up getting kanasai results for A Levels? CANNOT EVEN GET INTO UNI, MUST SETTLE FOR A LEVEL CERT. I don't want to take any chances please. Time is money!

I even told Mrs Chong in an act-atas manner: "In this ~*dog-eat-dog world*~, it is ~*every man for himself*~"

So yea, POLY IT IS, BITCHES.

Speaking of which... now I have a HUUUUGE dilemma. Because I never expected myself to get an aggregate so low, I've never considered International Business as a choice.

But I have already more or less decided that I want to get into Mass Communications since my interest lies more in there, although I might put IB as one of my first few choices. I'll post my 12 choices soon. Raffles JC will be my 12th choice. *insert trollface here*

Now everybody scold me for not going JC, when Chinese New Year comes get another round again.

We had a group shot of the top scorers with the principals (Omg I feel like a star!!!) and I got a solo shot, which I think is going to appear on the school website. Bleh. It was only one shot, and I didn't even get to see if it was good or not! So don't go and see ah.

I'm also scared for the Speech Day valedictorian speech! I was not ready for this! I CANNOT make a boring speech, because I have sat through two of those, and I can't do it, so we'll see how it goes. At most I'll follow Alex from Modern Family: "Don't stop believing and let's get this party started!"

Anyway, I'd like to thank everyone for their congratulations, but I'd also like to congratulate Marcus, Christel, Ella, Si Yuan and Zhi Yang for being the top scorers in the school! Don't forget to congratulate them because they deserve it! And a very big fuck you to those who don't want me to go to poly!

I also want to thank all my teachers especially Miss Teo for your efforts as well as words of encouragement. (eg. "Pride comes before a fall" "YOU BETTER BE THE TOP SCORER AH")

Most importantly, I hope all students who just got their results reading this are satisfied with their results and are able to get into a course that they like. Even if you don't get your desired results, I think everybody should simply move on. When life throws lemons at you, squeeze them into your vodka.

And if any juniors are seeing this, ESPECIALLY THOSE FROM 3E2/4E2, IT IS NOT IMPOSSIBLE!!!

I don't care if you don't see me as a role model but just know that it IS possible to reach the top without being from the best class. Of course just because you're not from E2 doesn't mean you shouldn't work hard la, who knows you could be the next non-E1/non-E2 to be the top scorer!

Can't wait for the speech day buffet man! See, I was so determined to get the speech day buffet, and I be GETTING IT.

So I have a big day tomorrow and to be quite honest I am not VERY nervous at all. I'm pretty much tired of waiting already so just give me my results! Of course with everything, apprehension comes as the date looms closer, so I should stop scaring myself.

I guess my only concern is that I wouldn't live up to my expectations, I guess, but I will be very happy if I can get a single digit L1R4 and that would be enough for me.

Just yesterday during our CCA Open House I was talking to Mrs Chong and she said "Do you know Mr Leong is afraid of coming because of YOU?!" because he scared that I will steal his class' thunder and become the top scorer LOL!!!

Of course I would LOOOVE to become a top scorer, but I really don't think I can even be the top scorer for my class. DON'T ASK ME WHY LA I ALSO DUNNO!!! Feeling la feeling. ~apprehension~

On the other hand, Miss Teo was like "You BETTER be the top scorer ah!"

I remember when I was in P6, before the release of my PSLE results, I dreamt that I only got 52 for my T-Score, but ended up exceeding my expectations. But this time I keep dreaming I get good results! IT IS A SIGN... JENG JENG JENG

In fact I vividly remember that in one dream, I got 4 A1s and 3 A2s, whereas Marcus got 5 A1s and 2 A2s. First of all it doesn't make sense because I already got B3 for my Chinese. Secondly, it also doesn't make sense because Marcus takes 8 subjects. But I don't want to think so much and just hope for the best la.

And since I am so selfless all the time, I'm hoping not just for the best for me but also for all O Level students! Except, of course, the people I don't like, such as Najews. Cheeh.

But whatever the result is *cue sad music* I am still very proud of myself because I know that I've done my best, and I guess that's why I don't feel scared at all because there's nothing else that I could have done to make things better!

ELT's latest album which I only got 3 months after its release! Initially, it was already sold out on CDJapan by the time I wanted to order it, so I did so in Play Asia instead because I thought it was still available since I could still order it.

But when I checked back 1 week after I have yet to receive news of it being shipped, it's NOT! It was on backorder! Sibei pekcek, especially when I ordered a month in advance. So I sent them an angry email saying that they should not allow preordering when they don't have enough stock, and since it was limited edition, I doubt it would ever be back in stock based on experience, so I simply wanted to know if they're even going to get new stock.

They sent back an email to apologise, saying how they're trying to contact the supplier and everything, but I didn't cancel my order and went for my US trip. At around early December, I suddenly received the email of a packaged being shipped, and I was so happy!!! I shouldn't have been so angry at them because I didn't know they'd manage to restock. So yea, that's my story of how I got this.

The special edition came with a towel and a fan, of all things, to celebrate their 15th anniversary!

2012 is right round the corner aaaaand for some reason I don't really care. Maybe because for the first time in 10 years, I do not have to go to school in the beginning of January.

The only thing I'm looking forward now for the rest of 2011 is seeing Siti Nurhaliza perform during the countdown on Channel 5 and keep whining about how fat she is. I even heard she wants to have a child. Gurl, by the time your kids are 16, their father will be 80. (slowly awaiting Siti fans to waste their electrisiti and flame me while putting on simplysiti cosmetics and sipping on pandan-flavoured ctea)

I think 2012 will be a very interesting year for me because I'll be attending a class chalet, working for the first time in my life and trying my best to not leave a bad impression on my boss when I ask him/her for leave the very first day I go to work.

2012 will also be the year when I will be starting my tertiary education in a polytechnic so I am also excited for that.

Since there is only around 1 day left in 2011, I decided to take some time out of my sad, lonely life and think back about what I have done in 2011.

Actually, it's not that many, but I had one of the best birthdays in my life, got promoted to a Warrant Officer in Red Cross, passed out a mere 1-2 months later afterwards, started reading a book that is not Harry Potter after a HP book marathon for the whole of 2010, achieved something from debating, tried dengdeng for the first time, getting the best results in my entire secondary school life for prelims, baked a fantastic cheesecake which EVERYBODY LOVED and still eating like a fat pig non-stop.

I guess it was a pretty fruitful year for someone with a sedentary lifestyle!

Don't really feel like blogging for the rest of the year i.e. tomorrow so this is probably the last post of 2011. Oh well! See you in 2012!

One month to go before my baby is born!!!

It is also one month to go before I am done and over with braces!

Tee nee nee. It's actually supposed to be white, but 1-2 days later I decided to eat curry the entire day thus resulting in this unfortunate colour.

He wanted to file my 2 front teeth as well because apparently they are "too long" but I personally think it looks just fine, so I told him not to.

I don't even want to say anything else because I am too excited about getting my braces out! I have to go back to see my orthodontist for 2 consecutive days, where 1 is to remove the braces and the next day to go collect my retainers.

Speaking of which he and many of his colleagues are also transferring to some new specialist centre being set up near Novena, so I'll have to go there next month, lol. Maybe I should get it done before my birthday.

In other news tomorrow I will be posting up my end of year collection update!! And a little announcement which is not very important so keep your pants on.

Merry Christmas everybody!!!

I spent my Christmas being a total glutton eating a shit load of food and then feeling very disgusted by my actions shortly afterward.

But other than being a very gross person eating like nobody's business, I also had a fun time last night with my friends at Eva's place! Though most of the time I'm pretty much entertaining myself but that's not the point.

We played Monopoly which I won because everybody was too fed up landing on my properties with many houses and we also had this gift exchange where we each bring a present wrapped up, and not knowing whose is whose other than yourself, the winner of the game gets to pick a gift first, followed by the second etc.

So since I'm the first I chose Philana's present! The moment I touched the present, I immediately knew it was Ferrero Rocher. Nonetheless it's still one of the most expensive presents over there lol.

I was vacillating between Philana's and Adeline's present (which I did not know belonged to them beforehand) because they were the biggest presents.

Lucky for me, Adeline's present taken by Christel turned out to be 2 long stacks of Angry Birds tissue paper from Watsons with an additional body wash HAHAHAHA

My gift which was a mug that said "I LOVE MY ATTITUDE PROBLEM" (I feel like getting one myself) was taken by Desmond and Jiele got the best gift of all, which was $10 slutty stockings from Eva. Eva did it because she was hoping I would get it (Sweet mother of god)

I also got an Elton John CD from Philana because she wants me to "Come out of the closet" even though she is more familiar with his discography than I am.

Amongst other things, I also got a T-Shirt from Eva, a cute pouch from Jiele (with a Lady Gaga pin badge as well), a card from Christel and the best gift of all from Desmond, which was a mini Christmas tree from DAISO.

What... an amazing life I have.

It is almost the new year and this year in J-Pop has been very exciting. Just kidding, it was very boring.

With Ai Otsuka having fallen off the face of the Earth because of her baby and mihimaru GT slowly losing their relevancy, the only event that has been very happening in the second largest music industry in the world is AKB48 getting million-selling first week sales for every single they release, which I'm sure never fails to send Taylor Swift on a :o-face frenzy every time it happens.

In all seriousness, when it comes to the quality of music put out this year, I'd say it was pretty good, although the sales don't reflect all that. I decided to do this simply because I want to irritate 90% of all 10 of you.

Let's get this party started! *dances to myself*

Best Single of 2011

Koda Kumi - 4 TIMES

One of Kuu's best summer singles ever, which also happens to be her 50th single! There's nothing to dislike about this single, at least when the songs are concerned.

It pretty much comes in a complete package -- there is the fun song ie. Poppin' love cocktail (nothing says fun like singing about loving a younger man), the heartwarming mid-tempo song that is IN THE AIR, the pussy poppin' V.I.P. and of course, the song all you horny bastards wank to, KO-SO-KO-SO.

Not leaving out the icing on the cake which is the absolutely superfluous interludes that include the sound of pants being unzipped.

What really sealed the deal was that there's no cheesy, generic ballad in here! Oh my fucking god! Easily makes it one of Kuu's best singles ever, and I'm being serious.

Koda Kumi - Dejavu

I absolutely love this album. I personally don't think there is a single bad song on there.

Even the worst song, Passing By, is average at best, and it's not even because the song is bad. It's just ruined by B Howard's vocals.

The interludes are at least tolerable and once again, there is no cheesy generic ballad, and neither is there a disgustingly cutesy song. (Bambi was nice OKAY)

For an album that spans 13 tracks excluding the interludes, I really have to give it to Kuu because it is almost one of her most flawless albums. Album photoshoot is good, album flow is great with more than enough songs for the album without compromising on quality.

ayumi hamasaki - ayumi hamasaki Rock 'n' Roll Circus Tour FINAL ~7days Special~

Undoubtedly one of Ayu's best tours ever, and beats the 2009 tour by so much. My only grouse is that she removed certain songs that I really wanted to hear for the 7 days special, but other than that, the vocals, the outfits, the theatrics and the stage setting are just perfect. (okay, maybe not the vocals) I don't even know if HOTEL Love songs is going to be able to top this.

Probably the best song Ayu released for 2011 from her album FIVE and everything about the song is just epic. From the arrangement to the inspirational lyrics, it pretty much shits all over every AKB48 song.

She nailed 2010, and now she nailed 2011 as well.

With a stunning album, the number of good singles she's released this year and stunning live performances, Kuu still shows no signs of slowing down even after 11 years in the industry!

Not to mention she's also getting married and she's PREGNANT! Shotgun marriage but that's not the point! Kuu seems to be very happy about this and as long as she's happy, as her fan, I'm happy for her too!

She's so influential, even somebody in the SNSD picture copied her POP DIVA cover pose. (Go google it yourself)

aaand that's the best of 2011 in J-Pop! Admittedly this is probably the most biased post ever because I only review the artists that I listen to but THAT'S JUST TOO BAD NOW ISN'T IT.

This blog is officially 5 years old!!!

I am so not proud of myself!

Then again, I actually am because I feel like maintaining this blog that is still read by people is something that is not easily accomplished by many of my peers so I am very happy for this day to come!

So to celebrate this joyous occasion I even tried baking something slightly new which is the cheesecake I did last year with chocolate chip cookie crust! How low cal is that?

Just kidding, it just so happened it was done near this date.

So what will I be doing on my blog's 5th anniversary?

I'll be having lunch with Jiarong and then delivering the cake I baked to people. And I'll probably rewatch the Sex and the City series again on DVD. This is called being pathetic, unemployed and loving it while I still can.

In other happy news I got the shock of my life when I saw my blog statistics because I managed to breach the 200 unique visitors mark this past week without pulling any promotional stunts! I feel so amazed.

Anyway thank you thank you to those who read this blog religiously like it's the bible and I hope I'll be able to celebrate my 10th anniversary!

When that day comes it would just mean that my life is just really sad and miserable. BUT STILL.

I was craving for chee kueh today and went down to the shop beside Old Chang Kee at Jurong Point only to find out they don't sell it anymore.

It's ridiculous how there is a demand for chee cheong fun and none for chee kueh. Who the hell eats the former without any prawn or char siew inside?

...I eventually bought that instead.

Lady Gaga's Born This Way collection!

Which I ordered off Amazon, because I knew here, not only will I risk having it manufactured locally, but it would be more expensive and have an M18 sticker slapped on the back. True enough, true enough. But I had no intention of getting this at first until Amazon offered it at only USD25. Sounded like a great deal to me.

Comes packaged with the Monster Ball Tour, the Born This Way Remix album and the special edition of the album which I already have but who cares.

At first I thought it would come in a big and thick package (that's what she said) but it turns out that the box is the size of a normal jewel case and the thickness is of 3 really thin digipaks. (except the remix album which is only a cardboard sleeve)

(2011.11.02) Perfume - Spice (CD+DVD | Limited Edition)

A very pointless single by Perfume because the album would be released a mere 4 weeks later. Nonetheless I like both songs and the only issue I have with this release is that the styling of Nocchi's (left) hair is a crime against nature.

Koda Kumi's latest single which is kind of pointless so I don't know why I even bought it and with 2 versions at that. The limited edition comes with a pouch that I don't think I will ever even use. This is why people look up to me as a role model when it comes to budgeting. :D

Nonetheless this bitch is on a fucking roll because her 10th album is already coming out in Jan/Feb next year and the covers look FUCKING HOT. She's also filming a music video for all 17 tracks on the album just like Kingdom in 2008. She is ridiculous.

Also did you catch her performance on MAMA? DID YOU? FUCKING AMAAAAZIIIING. She's the queen of fucking live, seriously. I woke up at 4am in the US just to catch her performance live! It was worth waking up for it, although I was depressed that she was in Singapore when I wasn't.

The last CD for this month is something I just bought a few hours ago, which is

Florence + the Machine's Ceremonials!

Seriously, this album absolutely blew me away. Sounds like nothing I would have expected from an indie artist. Certainly provides some respite from the avalanche of electropop music that is all over the music industry now.

I tried finding this album in the US but the version that they have doesn't have all the bonus tracks, and we all know how OCD I am. The digipak here is thicker than the one in the US though, probably because this has two discs whereas the US only has one disc.

And this marks the end of the last CDotM for 2011!!! Full collection update will probably come at the end of the month so you can look forward to that.

Ok first of all I'd like to say I am very sorry!

I wanna apologise for the lack of updates but I'm already back in Singapore and right now I'm in the process of editing the photos so I will start blogging about the trip soon because I am efficient like that.

CDs of the month will come tomorrow as promised and I will try to blog as much as I can without taking too much time doing other personal projects such as watching Modern Family and reading the books that I bought.
