Supervises workers engaged in maintaining a hospital environment that is safe, clean and kept in an orderly condition. Assigns employees to specific tasks to keep the operations of the department running in a productive and efficient manner. Trains personnel and demonstrates the ability to be a good communicator. Ability to support and assist other support services departments on as needed bases.

Prepare and produce patient, guest, and employee meals in accordance with standardized recipes and daily production charts including service of the same.

WKBH - Mgr Clin Nutrition Srvs, Clin Nutrition Staff Dept., FT, 8:30a to 5p

The Clinical Nutrition Manager serves as the primary representative in-patient care nutritional activities. This includes providing direction and guidance to the clinical services team, ensuring conformance with nutritional education, staff competency, and regulatory compliance. Assists in the development of strategic plans, establishing the highest caliber standards of care, and supervising the clinical and non-clinical personnel. Establishes policies and procedures to ensure compliance to regulatory agencies. Maintains effective communications with other departmental managers and healthcare team. The Clinical Nutrition Manager directs the Continuous Quality Improvement Program of the department.

WKBH - Supervisor, Clinical Nutrition Staff, MFT, 7a-3:30p

The Nutrition Services Supervisor is responsible for the process of creating, preparing, delivering and serving safe, accurate, healthy, delicious and visually appealing meals to patients, their families, employees, physicians, and the community. Responsible for meeting all regulatory agency requirements pertaining to physical and food safety; leads the Nutrition Services kitchen/servery team with confidence, meeting the employees’ needs to do their work effectively and in accordance with Nutrition Services’ policies and procedures; performs a variety of management functions for the efficient operation of the department with major emphasis on the operations of the cafeteria; coordinates activities so as to assure seamless transitions between shifts; is responsible for all aspects of employee leadership including hiring, disciplinary action, scheduling, performance evaluation, and competency checks. Additional duties include maintaining stock levels, ensuring proper storage and security of foodstuffs; ensures that all employees follow all hospital guidelines; assists the Nutrition Services Director with customers/patients as directed in all matters relating to operations in order to establish and maintain a solid and mutually beneficial relationship; assists in supporting highest possible customer satisfaction levels and employee relations; assists the Director in the achievement of financial goals.

The Dining Services Team Leader is responsible for embracing Baptist Healths mission of improving the health and well-being of individuals in the communities we serve by adhering to the hospitals philosophy on the 5 pillars for service excellence, while achieving and maintaining patient satisfaction at or above 90%. Performs daily project assignments along with daily cleaning and maintenance of hard floor and carpets throughout the facility that is consistent with organization standards. Strips and refinishes floors. Performs the above in a manner that consistently delivers exceptional service to patients, guests and others.
