Using Plaxo, SpanningSync, .Mac or Address Book GMail sync?
If you have GMail sync setup on your Mac (in Address Book preferences after the 10.5.4 update), .Mac, Plaxo or SpanningSync installed then we advise you to disable these first. You can of course leave it on, and send us feedback about what goes wrong. Our goal is to work nicely with other sync solutions. We hope to make Soocial into the end station of your contact-muck but it is pretty tricky to stop the merging and duping shit. It’s tricky to find bugs in a three-way love-triangle of syncing solutions where all sorts of incestuous mayhem may result.

NuevaSync - Over the Air Synchronization
This is astonishing, bi-directonal sync of google calender over the air, simply amazing!. The service is free, and appently also does contact syncing. Might take a look at that after I’ve sorted out all my contacts with soocial.
