Whitney Houston’s funeral is held at New Jersey where she was born later this week after the weekend autopsy is complete. The late “Saving all my love for you” singer cum actress’s body was released by the LA County Coroner on 13 February 2012 and is flown back to Newark, New Jersey in the days ahead.

According to multiple sources, the funeral arrangements for the late music icon were set up at Newark's Whigham Funeral Home - funeral home in Houston's hometown which also handled the services for her father, John Houston, who passed away in 2003. A source claimed, “Houston's family raised the possibility of holding a wake Thursday and funeral Friday at Newark's Prudential Center, an arena that hosts college and professional sport events and seats about 18,000 people”

Whitney Houston's husband Bobby Brown was often blamed for corrupting her, turning her on to the crack, pills and alcohol that eventually mangled her career. Since divorcing Whitney, he has become engaged to his manager Alicia Etheridge. Three years after their split, the "I will always love you" singer described her troubled married to Bobby Brown with the poignant words: "He was my drug". Brown, who had been accused of domestic abuse against the iconic pop star, was on a reunion tour with his longtime group New Edition as news hit that Houston had died at age 48 in her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. The controversial R&B star was scheduled to perform in Mississippi on Saturday night. After reportedly breaking down backstage pre-show, Brown declined to join his bandmates for the opening song. However, Bobby Brown decided the show must go on and still took to the stage to perform with his band, just hours after the pop legend’s sudden and tragic passing. The audience at the show expressed shock at news of Whitney Houston's death. "This is so hard to believe that Whitney is gone. She was so beautiful and talented," said Emeka Buck of Memphis. "First of all, I want to tell you that I love you all,” he said to the crowd. "Second, I would like to say, 'I love you Whitney.' The hardest thing for me to do is come on this stage." Whitney Houston's former husband also broke down during his performance of the ballad Tenderoni, and asked fans to sing along as he sobbed.

Reportedly, just minutes before Costa Concordia cruise ship accident at around 9.40pm on 13 January, Captain Francesco Schettino was having an intimate dinner with a blonde and young girl. Days after investigation, divers found some pieces of bikini and clothing on Francesco Schettino’s cabin which is believed to belong to the same blonde lady.

The blonde woman is identified as a 25-year-old Moldovan former dancer and crew member Domnica Cemortan who reportedly did not appear on any official manifest for the Costa Concordia. She later told Italian investigators that she was on the bridge as a "guest" of the captain at the time of the crash. While Ms Cemortan is not accused of any offence, Francesco Verusio, the chief prosecutor in the case, believes her testimony would be key in establishing exactly what happened on the bridge that night and whether the captain was distracted.

Moldovan-born Miss Cemortan was interviewed for nearly six hours on Wednesday by prosecutors in a police station in Grosseto, Tuscany after divers had found some of her belongings in Capt Francesco Schettino's cabin

The 25-year-old mother of two has admitted that she is falling for the captain despite him having a wife and a teenage daughter. She stated, “I love him, and it's not right to destroy his reputation” and added, “I was on the bridge because I was in love with the captain. I found him charming and fascinating. I love him”

Passengers claimed that the Moldovan was enjoying dinner with Capt Schettino with prawn cocktail, shrimp pasta, grilled fish and red wine before the two got into “high spirits” in the ship's finest restaurant, the Concordia Club, on the night of the disaster

The 114,000 ton Concordia, packed with 4,200 passengers and crew, rammed into rocks on Friday January 13 and left 17 dead and 15 missing. Despite the fact that Captain Francesco was one of the first to be off the coast, Domnica still insisted, “Captain Coward' is a hero. He did a great thing, he saved over 3000 lives”

Her revelations came into light as some Concordia crew members described the close romance with Schettino on Facebook in the days after the disaster

Following the tragic accident, Miss Cemortan was one of the first off the ship and in an interview with a Moldovan TV station

Capt Schettino is currently under house arrest

Miss Cemortan described the situation on Moldovan daily Adevarul, “All our colleagues made announcements in different languages because there was a problem with the electricity. It was very dark on the ship”

While Domnica claimed, “I bought my own ticket in Italy. I still have my cabin key in my pocket”, Italian media reported that Domnica did not have a cabin

Meanwhile, wife of disgraced Costa Concordia captain Francesco Schettino, Fabiola Russo, said, “My husband is at the centre of an unprecedented global media storm”. She also defended that her husband was turned into a “moster” by the media

Despite having million dollars in the bank, a famous gird friend and thousands of fans across the world, it is nice to see 17-year-old Canadian superstar Justin Bieber still hanging out with his old friends. Without Selena Gomez around, the teen heartthrob was spotted relaxing on Miami Beach with his childhood buddy, Ryan Butler, who is from his Canadian hometown of Stratford, Ontario. The 17-year-old buddies were joined by Justin’s sidekick, Alfredo Flores.

At least six people are reportedly dead and other 29 people are missing as the Italian luxury cruise ship Costa Concordia, carrying more than 4,000 people, hit a sandbar and ran aground off Italy on Friday evening (13 January 2012) near the western coast of Italy's Isola del Giglio. Among over 4,000 people on boat at that time, there were 3,200 passengers from Italy, Germany, France and Britain and also 1,000 crew members. The 114,500-tonne ship, one of the biggest passenger vessels ever to be wrecked, quickly rolled on its side with a long gouge below the waterline right after the dinner was being served on Friday night. The local coast guard chief Marco Brusco insisted that there was a “glimmer of hope” that survivors could be found. As the Costa Concordia's owners blamed their captain for veering shorewards on Friday to show the giant ship to local people of Tuscan island, 2,300 tonnes of fuel began to pollute the Mediterranean waters of the surrounding nature reserve.

The captain Francesco Schettino was arrested (along with first officer Ciro Ambrosio) for questioning by prosecutors and investigating for abandoning ship and suspected manslaughter. Prosecutor Francesco Verusio said to the ANSA news agency that Francesco Schettino deliberately chose a sea route that was too close to shore. Despite being reported that the captain was dining with passengers when his ship crashed into the reef, Schettino was found wrapped in a blanket on his way to the shore at around 11.30pm – 4 hours before the evacuation of the vessel was completed. After breaking the maritime tradition of remaining with his ship, Francesco Schettino faces up to 12 years in jail for manslaughter due to “unauthorised and unapproved” decision to sail so close to the eastern side of Giglio.

The 23-year-old Miss Wisconsin beauty queen impressed the judges and audiences in an amazing achromatic swimsuit, a colored beaded eve scrubs, and with a soft opera disclosure. Miss Oklahoma Betty Thompson and Miss New York Kaitlyn Monte were placed the second and third, respectively.

The 23-year-old winner Laura Kaeppeler from Wisconsin was born in March 1988 and raised in Kenosha. She is the first woman representing Wisconsin to win Miss America since Terry Anne Meeuwsen won in 1973. The 23-year-old brunette was crowned in Las Vegas thanks to her physical assets and her well thought campaign. This really helps the car reduce fuel consumption.

Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney beat social conservative Rick Santorum just by 8 votes to become the apparent winner. Mitt Romney was the 70th Governor of Massachusetts from 2003 to 2007 and he also ran for the Republican nomination in the 2008 U.S. presidential election, winning several primaries and caucuses, but eventually losing the nomination to John McCain. In June, 2011 Mitt Romney formally announced he would run for 2012 presidential nomination and started off campaign trails. About personal life, Mitt Romney and his wife Ann Romney got married in 1969 in Ann’s hometown, Bloomfield Hills. The couple has 5 sons who born between 1970 and 1981.

However in a campaign rally, one of Mitt Romney’s sons made a mistake when answering citizens’ question. The Romneys said they were not interested in engaging in a Twitter war with the “Huntsman girls,” the daughters of rival Republican Jon Huntsman who lags badly in the polls. “We’re just focused on my dad and trying to get my dad elected,” Tagg Romney said.

Mitt Romney won Republican nominating contest in Iowa. Chairman of the Iowa Republican Party, Matt Strawn, announced Romney got 30,015 votes and Rick Santorum received 30,007 votes out of a record turnout of 122,255.
