Overview

Dadi is the senior most person of the family but seems to be deprived of powers, as the family is governed and administered by her daughter-in-law, Razia Sultana who is also a widow like her.

Razia, because of her authoritative and dominating nature have full control over her two sons. Siddique is the elder son of Razia, who is a very simple and righteous person but this simplicity when blendes with his low grade government job, exaggerates his financial difficulties. For his abstinence he has been blessed by a very supportive wife named Maria. Nafees is the younger son of Razia, who is clever and prudent enough to identify the changes of the society, but is also very innocent by nature.

Nafees has fallen in love of Nazish, whose mother has been a stern rival of Razia since a long time. The conflicts of Razia and Naseeban (Nazish's mother) can be developed at even very minor issues that add spice and fragrance of life to the play.
