I typed the words Relaxation and Meditation into Google and it said there were 22,700,000 results, that’s nearly 23 million pages on Relaxation and Meditation! So, in the presence of such competition, I am going to tell you the real truth about Relaxation and Meditation. Something that nobody else is telling you, but when you think about it, it is obvious.

First of all, is meditation good for helping you to relax? Yes, it is. In fact it has been proven in many studies around the world, that meditation helps you to physically, mentally and emotionally relax. It has helped people overcome health problems, improve concentration, improve focus and improve output in commercial activities.

Using most popular meditation techniques, such as breathing or mantras, you can definitely experience a drop in your stress levels and you can experience elevated levels of relaxation.
So, what are they not telling you? Well, it would help me get my point across if I could use an analogy.

Imagine you are getting on an old fashioned steam train, you know the sort, swirling steam and blowing whistles. You pass the engine, and you see the bright shining brass nameplate, and you see that this train is called ‘Life’.

Apprehensively you sit down in your seat. It isn’t too comfortable, but it will do for now. You know, or at least you hope, that this is going to be a very long journey. Over time, you get to know many people very well, in fact you fall in love with a beautiful passenger who is sitting nearby. They are all you ever dreamed of in a partner. You pinch yourself, you are so happy!

One day you are chatting with your partner about how stressful the train journey can be at times. Sometimes it’s a bit scary, sometimes a bit boring and at other times its very hard work. So, hearing that a guy in one of the other carriages is teaching meditation, you learn to meditate. You soon feel so much better as meditation and relaxation becomes a part of your everyday life on the train.

As time goes on, and the train steams along, you and your partner have several beautiful children. You are so proud of them and everybody in the carriage says they are lovely kids.

One day you notice that a couple of passengers are missing, and after making a few inquiries, someone tells you that they have died and that you will never see them again. You ask about in the carriage, to see if anyone knows anything at all about death. The only thing that they can tell you is that everyone on the train, including you, your partner, and your beautiful children will all die on this train. No one is getting off any other way.

You sit back in your chair, watching the fields and trees go by. ‘Is this it?’ you ask yourself. The only reply is the constant, monotonous, ever-forward roar of the engine, taking you and everything you love to an ever nearer death.

You sit back and try to relax in your meditation, and it helps, but it doesn’t slow the train down. You meditate more and more but nothing is going to stop the train from taking everything you love from you. You look into the eyes of your sweet innocent children, your sweet, loyal and loving partner, your heart is filled with a helpless, painful and persistent despair. You consider discussing your thoughts about death with your partner, but not wishing to upset them, you stare out of the window, in a state of existential fear. And the train rolls on.

That is how most people live their lives, in a state of silent, existential fear. You can relax all you want on the train, but you know what is coming…

But what if it was possible for you to get off the train? Seriously, what if it was possible for you and your loved ones to get off the train and live forever. Would you be interested? The chances are you would, least that’s what most people would say.

I am suggesting to you that it is possible for you – and anyone else – to leave the train forever. Not in some suicide pact or some other crazy idea, but by using a very powerful meditation technique. Using this technique, you can you realise, you can know for a fact, that you never got on the train in the first place.

Do not take my word for it, you would be silly to. To find out more about these relaxation and meditation techniques please go to www.meditationclassathome.com. You can watch 5 free meditation videos and decide for yourself.

Self Discovery And You

Many people today use the words ‘Self Discovery’, but what are they actually talking about? If you ask them, they will say they have discovered one or more, or even all of the following qualities within themselves;

1) Courage
2) Bravery
3) Kindness
4) Love
5) Gentleness
6) A personal talent
7) Spirituality
8) A meaning to their life
9) A purpose to their life
10) Etc..

So as far as this article is concerned, I am going to define Self Discovery, as the discovery of your very deepest nature. The reason I am doing this is because, say you discovered that you were a brilliant portrait artist and you decided to devote the rest of your life to painting portraits. Great.

Except one day, you fell over, broke your hands, and you were never able to hold a paintbrush again. In your despair, you turned to many things to help you get through this tough time, including drink and drugs. But they just didn’t fulfill you, so you decided to try meditation. In the process of learning meditation, you embarked on an inner journey, to discover whatever there is to discover within yourself.

As time went by you discovered many things. Yes, you are great painter, but you are more than that. Then you discover aspects or dimensions of yourself that you never even knew existed. Ultimately, you discover your deepest nature, that which is beyond all limits of the body, mind, emotions and talents.

A journey of self-discovery can be made by anyone, young or old, male or female. As you let go into your meditation, with the right help and guidance, you can discover aspects of yourself and life that you never ever even dreamed possible. This journey of self-discovery is very, very real.

It is not reliant on visualising anything, , indeed it is not reliant on anything except your willingness to let go in meditation, and meditating on a certain type of meditation energy.

I created a membership site at http://www.MeditationClassAtHome.com for the purpose of teaching self discovery. Anyone can join, and I give away the first month for only $1.00, so that you can see for yourself if what I am teaching is right for you. If not, that is O.K. but at lest you have the opportunity to explore.

I am sometimes asked by people who are inquiring about self-discovery, ‘Why do I need a special form of meditation energy to complete a journey of self-discovery?’ I answer this question much more in depth on my meditation membership site. However, for the sake of this article, my answer is this.

If you wanted to become a great writer, you would probably be best advised to employ someone to teach you how to take your writing to the level you desire. If you employed a reporter from your local free newspaper, the chances are they would improve your writing, but they would not be able to take you to the level you desire. So, there are many so called experts in the field of meditation. Many of them will help you on your journey of self discovery, but there are very few who can help you finish the journey.

About 3 million people a month type the word Meditation into the Google. Fair enough. But did you know that only 2400 people a month, in the whole world, type in the words Meditation and Consciousness into the search engines? This is pretty surprising when you consider that meditation has a direct, proven and positive impact on your consciousness.

So What Is Meditation And Consciousness

For the purpose of this article, we need to define just what is ‘meditation’ and what is ‘consciousness’.

Meditation is the practice of becoming physically, mentally and emotionally stiller. This increasing stillness has the effect on the meditator of them becoming more ‘aware’ or ‘conscious’ of themselves. This is also, usually accompanied by an increasing feeling of peace and tranquility.

Your ‘consciousness’, is literally all that you are aware of. So, through the practice of meditation, you can become increasingly aware of more and more of your ‘self’. The degree to how much more you become aware of depends on a few things.
is the type of meditation technique you are using. For instance, most meditation techniques have a calming effect, but they will only expand your consciousness so far. They are incapable of expanding your consciousness beyond certain limits within creation. These limits are invariably found within the mind.

The mind is a reactive prison in which all human mental activity exists. The mind is in a constant state of reactive movement, though this movement can be ‘slowed down’ by practicing meditation. Because the mind is in a state of constant movement, often moving from one negative state to another, there can be no ultimate peace for the meditator who meditates within the mind.

I only know of one form of meditation that can take the meditator beyond the limits of the mind. This involves meditating on the inner light and sound that can be revealed to the consciousness of the meditator, by opening their third eye chakra. This process is sometimes called Initiation.

If you are serious about exploring meditation and consciousness, it is really important that you challenge your currently held beliefs on what is possible and what is not possible. To the vast majority of meditators, even those who have spent a lifetime practicing meditation, the very idea of existing outside of the normal consciousness of the mind may sound far-fetched.

Also, consider this. It is thoughts, and the spaces between thoughts, that give you the impression of a time continuum. To exist outside of the mind, in an uninterrupted state is possible. So is the idea of existing outside of the realms of time is something that cannot be experienced whilst still trapped in your mind. However, once you do exist outside of the consciousness of your mind, you realise for yourself the simplicity and beauty of this state.

So, the most important factor affecting meditation and consciousness is the form of meditation. The second most important factor in affecting meditation and consciousness is the expert guidance that is needed by the meditator. Just as you would not attempt to climb Mount Everest on your own, no matter how well equipped you were, to attempt to go beyond the mind without guidance, would be a futile exercise. At least that is my experience.

There are many who teach meditation and hail the benefits of expanding your consciousness or awareness. But consider this. The mind is a prison. It contains your consciousness. You can use various meditation techniques to induce a sense of peace and tranquility into your daily life, but you will still be trapped. I only know of one meditation technique that will expand your awareness beyond the limits of the mind.

who for the last few thousand years, at least, have had direct knowledge of what God wants on this earth.

You must do exactly what these men want, or you will be punished in this life and in the next.
Your children must also be trained by these men to follow Gods rules, otherwise you will be deemed to have failed your children.

But most of all, you will be deemed to have failed by God.

You will recognize these men, by any one or more of the following attributes:

1) They will wear clothing or headgear indicating that they know something that you don’t.

2) They will manipulate you by offering you symbolism, tradition, hope and stories that do not make any sense at all.
If you question their stories, they will tell you even more stories, with a slight inflection that maybe there is something wrong with you..?

3) If you continue to question these men, or simply ask for proof, then the ultimate weapon is brought out.

Your ‘faith’ is brought into question. After all, they have taught you that there is nothing worse than someone with no faith.

If you are a woman, do not despair, for you can be a servant of these men.
You could do the jobs they do not want to do.
Or you could even sign up to be a pretend man.

This means you dress like one of them, but everyone knows you have no power and are not really one of them. But at least you are not like the ‘normal’ women.

And maybe then you will be a bit closer to God. (Even though it is impossible to be closer to something that is everywhere.)

4) These men are special, so many do not go to work. However, they do work one day a week, and would like to see you then, for them to share more stories with you. And you can share your money with them.

5) These men live in big houses and do not have mortgages. This is OK because they are doing God’s work.

The stunts that these men pull in the name of God, is breathtaking. You have to admire their sheer cheek. Least you would, were it not for the hundreds of millions of people who are kept in spiritual poverty, and often financial poverty, in the name of God.

Billions of people give their personal power and dignity away to these parasites.

You can believe these men if you wish, or you can find out the truth about yourself, within yourself, through being gentle, kind, loving, and accepting of yourself, through meditation.

Enjoy Your Meditation

In stillness, there are no men, no women. There is no left and no right, just an amazing beautiful truth.

You may have heard the term Transcendental Meditation before, but what does it actually mean? Well, depending on who you ask, depends on the answer you get. Plus, the answers you get are so vague, that you have to wonder if even the people who practice Transcendental Meditation know what it is.

But for the record, according to Wikipedia, Transcendental Meditation is; Transcendental Meditation (TM) refers to the Transcendental Meditation technique, a specific form of mantra meditation, and to the Transcendental Meditation movement, a spiritual movement. The TM technique and TM movement were introduced in India in the mid-1950s by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi (1914–2008) and had reached global proportions by the 1960s.

Basically, some bloke called Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, did very well teaching this form of meditation to over six million people. Fair enough, but what is it? What is transcended? And possibly most important of all, is it of any use to you? To answer these questions, we need to use a bit of philosophy, but we can do it together.

I have a question for you, but first of all I would like you to sit still and breath meditate for a few minutes at your brow centre. Go on, close your eyes and do it now. Please do not read on. Then after a few minutes open your eyes, then read on…

Ok, now, being as still as you can, look at your hands, or your arms or legs or any part of your body. Now, do your arms have any knowledge of the ‘you’ that is looking at them? No, they do not.

Because your consciousness already transcends the physical plane. You are already a transcendental being. Also your emotions have no direct knowledge of your mind or body, and vice versa.

This is to say, that you are a collection of ‘centres’ that appear to be constantly moving, at varying speeds, across the physical, mental and emotional planes. Because you are in a state of continual movement, there is no peace. Because you cannot escape this continual movement, there is no freedom. And because you are using these centres as your very ‘identity’, you cannot know yourself, you cannot ‘find’ yourself, just as an eye cannot see itself.

This is not to say that Transcendental Meditation is no good. It has been proven to lower blood pressure, reduce stress, aid school children achieve excellent results and much more. Plus it was one of the first meditation techniques that I tried in the seventies.

I very quickly came to the end of my mantra. The TM organisation then offered me a siddhi program, which I didn’t bother with as I had already seen past their simple mantras, and seen through their very poor thinking and philosophy. And their willingness to be believe in any old stuff as long as it wasn’t Christian, Jewish or anything mainstream.

I wanted to discover who I was, what I was, where I was going to and basically, what’s the point of it all. They were unable to answer a single one of these questions. So I went to their UK headquarters, called The Age Of Enlightenment, based in Skelmersdale, UK, and asked to ,speak to somebody who was Enlightened, as I wanted to discover Enlightenment for myself. They said that there was nobody who was Enlightened there. That only the Guru was Enlightened and he lived in the States. I looked at this man’s blind acceptance of yet another man’s fairy story, I thanked him, and left.

You are already a transcendent being, but you are trapped in a physical, mental and emotional cage. Any thoughts of spirit, are just that, thoughts. They are not spirit. In the same way, you cannot think of money, then pay your rent with the money you just thought about, it just doesn’t work.

To discover spirit, you must discover spirit, through direct revelation at your brow centre. This is called Initiation. (Which I discovered, and is now available, if you are interested). There are several dimensions other than the gross physical, mental and emotional bodies. Experiences of these other dimensions are often called ‘spiritual’. It would be more accurate to call them astral or etheric experiences.

Spirit is infinite and has no edges. Because it has no edges you cannot feel it, experience it, or think about it. It is only possible to experience an edge.

If or when you get Initiated, your first ‘experience’ will be your current sense of self, seeing the inner light and hearing the inner sound of spirit. In time, you will let go of the edges that define you, and you will dissolve into the one love that is everything.

Now, that sounds a bit more achievable, appealing and in fact, utterly glorious than transcendental meditation doesn’t it?

I have to thank Transcendental Meditation in a way. It got me started on the road to meditation. It showed me the limits of certain meditation techniques, it showed me the sad desperation that people will cling to in order to make sense and give meaning to this life we have to live.

It also gave me a reflection, a mirror, an opportunity for me to step up and admit that I did not have the answers, that I may never find the answers, that I wasn’t going to accept someone else’s hopes and dreams as the benchmark for truth in my life. So I kept on looking.

I found a form of meditation that transcended the physical body, the emotional body, the mental body, the etheric body, the astral body, the atmic and the buddhic till I was final free – forever. There are no more questions about the nature of myself, the nature of the universe or indeed, the nature of love.

Only one question remains, and that is to the nature of the ferryman, who took me from the confines of what I was, to the infinity that I now know I have always been. My sincere love and gratitude goes out to the Spiritual Master which made this journey possible.

There is so much misunderstanding about kundalini and kundalini meditation.
I read the following in Wikipedia:

Kundalini is described as a sleeping, dormant potential force in the human organism. It is one of the components of an esoteric description of the ‘subtle body’, which consists of nadis (energy channels), chakras (psychic centres), prana (subtle energy), and bindu (drops of essence). Kundalini is described as being coiled up at the base of the spine, usually within muladhara chakra. The image given is that of a serpent coiled three and a half times around a smokey grey lingam. Each coil is said to represent one of the three gunas, with the half coil signifying transcendence. Through kundalini meditation, and various esoteric practices, such as kundalini yoga, laya-yoga, and kriya yoga, the kundalini is awakened, and can rise up through the central nadi, called sushumna, that rises up inside or alongside the spine. The progress of kundalini through the different chakras leads to different levels of awakening and mystical experience, until the kundalini finally reaches the top of the head, Sahasrara chakra, producing an extremely profound mystical experience.

This is my personal view on kundalini meditation.

Kundalini is the organising intelligence which allows you to physically live and breathe, and connects
your body with your aura, for the whole of your life.

In India, Kundalini is generally what people seek, and it has a whole mythology and “ritualistic ignorance” accompanying it, and this can be seen in symbols and images, of snakes being worn on the body of Gods. There is a whole iconography of alchemy being displayed, all over the religious texts accompanying Kundalini meditation, and its journey from the base of the spine to the head.

When kundalini is raised, it can stimulate the pineal gland and the pituitary gland into activity, stimulating the intellectual process’s and psychic process’s in the individual if they are able to raise it.

Kundalini meditation is not , but it is a million miles more ‘spiritual’ than religions, so people all over the world crave access to Kundalini. Some institutes in California have been set up to try and find kundalini in the body, as science now believes it is what organizes the entire body-mind relationship.

Kundalini meditation is a massive subject, and people can have access to an energy system which millions in the world want to have raised within them. There are many books on kundalini which have been written by different spiritual teachers. Some of these show a profound understanding of the body mind relationship.

Some Kundalini meditation courses in India cost about ten thousand dollars, which last for
several weeks. But people do not get the actual energy raised at all, just breathing and dancing and chanting. Raising the kundalini through Kundalini meditation is very rare, that is why millions of Indians try for decades making sacrifices to raise this energy within them. Some, even starve themselves almost to death, hoping Lord Shiva will take pity on them and raise the energy, which from my perspective is sad, as there is a great deal of nonsense written about the energy by people who have never raised it.

There are a great many archetypes in the subconscious mind of the average person, which hold them back, and this creates low self-esteem, and Kundalini will help move this attitude away, so that is why raising the kundalini can help some people.

If you wish to attend a kundalini workshop, please get in touch with me.

The words spiritual awakening is used a lot, especially by people who meditate. But what is a spiritual awakening? What do they mean? What are they trying to describe? What does the words ‘spiritual awakening’ mean? It would be fair to say, that the term implies that there is within you, a spirit, and that it is capable of awakening somehow.

To examine this, we first need to get a better idea of what we mean by ‘spirit’. For instance, do you think spirit has any edges? Do you think spirit can go to sleep? Do you think that spirit has an ‘age’? Do you think that spirit can move? Do you think that spirit has intention in it? Do you think that spirit is available to some people and not others? I know these might seem like difficult questions, but if we are to examine spiritual awakening, then we really do need to have some kind of an agreed idea on what we are talking about.

The problem is, because so few people explore their mind, body, emotions and aura, that when they have an experience which is ‘out of the norm’ to the general population, then the words ‘spiritual awakening’, or ‘spiritual experience’ or ‘spiritual movement’ are used.

I have meditated for over twenty years and I have made many personal discoveries about the nature of spirit. I am not asking you believe me, rather, I am inviting you to find out for yourself. I have discovered that spirit has no edges, it is infinite, and so it is impossible for spirit to awaken. Rather, it is possible for the meditator to let go, more and more into space and stillness, and for the limitations of the meditator to experience an expansion that they would call a spiritual awakening.

Ultimately I have discovered for myself, within myself, that it is possible to let go of the mind, the body, the emotions, the psychic body, the intuitive body and the other bodies that exist in the subtler regions of creation, and to discover for myself, that spirit does exist and that it is my real identity.

Spirit was never and could never be asleep, so it could never awaken. But I am saying to you, that it is possible for you to discover spirit for yourself, within yourself, using specific meditation techniques. Now, I am not asking you to believe me. Indeed, with so many people making all kinds of claims about what is a spiritual awakening, you would be a bit foolish to do so.

Practice the meditation techniques, enjoy the meditation, and you will begin to discover a deeper part of you. Then you can see for yourself the possibilities of you having your very own, personal spiritual awakening.

I realize that this is not the usual dogma that you will hear from those that teach spiritual meditation but it is how I have come to understand true spiritual awakening. My hope is that you find out for yourself.

My name is Francis Taylor and I have been teaching meditation around the world for over 20 years. Here you will learn all about meditation
Some of the most common questions I receive is, “what is meditation?” Or, “what is meditation and how to do it”, or “what is meditation good for?” Many people think these are easy questions and they may appear to be simple, but depending who you ask, you will probably get a very wide range of answers.

For example, if you were to ask a stress therapist, “What is meditation? Or “What is meditation good for”. They will most likely tell you that meditation is a series of simple techniques that you can use, to greatly reduce the levels of stress and anxiety that you are experiencing in your life and they would be correct. By using certain meditation techniques on a daily basis, you will begin to experience less stress and anxiety in your life.

If you ask a yoga meditation instructor the very same question, “What is meditation?” they may tell you that meditation is a progression of profoundly powerful techniques that you can use to relax your mind, body and emotions. They would tell you that by practicing certain meditation techniques, you will most likely find a place of peace and tranquility within yourself. Again, if you use certain yoga meditation techniques, you will almost always feel physically, mentally and emotionally exhilarated, and in addition you may experience greater peace and tranquility than ever before.

It is almost certain that when you begin a daily habit of meditating, you will see for yourself what the benefits of meditation can do for you.

In my opinion the problems begin when you start asking people with ‘faith’ or ‘religious beliefs’, “What is meditation?” In this case you will often be invited to believe in something such as:

A) Through the practice of certain meditation techniques, that you will one day, in this life or the next, discover enlightenment.
B) Through meditating using specific meditation methods, you will have a ‘spiritual experience’.

C) That by meditating in the manner that is recommended by them, you will make discoveries that will lead you to your deepest nature, etc.

Here, you are being asked to believe in things which in 99% of cases, cannot be proved. You are asked to have ‘faith’.

So it is only my advice and my opinion that I offer you here. If you are genuinely interested to know “What is meditation?”, or “What is meditation good for?” then I advise you to believe nothing.
If you do encounter those that ask you to have faith or believe in a particular thing then you should ask for proof from those that tell you to believe in something. Ask them to allow you to speak to an enlightened person. Ask that person how you will discover enlightenment for yourself – in this lifetime. If they cannot tell you, then you must do yourself a favor and walk away. After all, if you cannot discover something for yourself, ie; first hand, concrete, direct experience, for yourself, then what use is it to you? You are simply being invited to join in a belief system. To take this a step further, there is the problem of ‘meaning’. Depending on whom you talk to, the word enlightenment or spiritual means widely different things to different people. For guidance on figuring this out for yourself what these words could or should mean to you, please look around this web site. You will find answers to the benefits of meditation.

But, in general, when a person asks me, “What is meditation?” I simply say this. Meditation is the process of discovering more and more about you. In general, when you meditate you will experience less stress and anxiety in your life. It is a progressive experience that ultimately reveals to you, your very deepest nature. This deepest nature is called enlightenment.

Enlightenment is not an experience; it is a permanent state of BEING. Unlike every experience you have ever had. Enlightenment has no beginning, it has no middle and it has no end. It is a PERMANENT state of being. This state of being can be discovered by you. I am not asking you to believe me; I am inviting you to find out for yourself.
When you approach it from this frame of mind, you yourself will know for sure, what meditation is, you will know how to do it and you will know for yourself what meditation is good for. What is meditation? It is something that you can discover for yourself and you can achieve enlightenment without have to believe and have any particular faith.

If you are new to meditation, or if you have been meditating all your life, I am encouraging you right now to really question the exact meaning of words, especially when you are talking about meditation. The reason for this will become obvious when you see what the words ‘spiritual meditation’ means to different people.

Some people believe that all meditation is a ‘spiritual experience’. Others believe that Spiritual Meditation is a practice that involves meditating on a deity, or statue or some other icon. Still others believe that meditating on a technique that creates some out of the ordinary experience, is a spiritual meditation.

Spirit, if it exists at all, needs defining. Spirit is general considered to be an aspect of a human being that is infinite, that goes on forever. Fair enough. So, something that is infinite, would by definition, have no edges. So if it has no edges, how would you ever be able to perceive it? You see, everything in your life, including your body, your emotions, your thoughts, all have edges, that is how you perceive or experience them. So it is impossible, to have a spiritual experience in the normal sense of the word.

Am I saying that spirit does not exist? Not at all. What I am saying is that if you are looking for answers to the deepest nature of yourself and life, then you will need a form of meditation that will take you beyond the limits of mind, body and emotions.

Most peoples experience of Spiritual Meditation involves them having, at most, an experience within the outer confines of their aura. This may include experiences of guides, angels and other entities. As these are not ‘normal’ experiences for most people, there is no common language for these experiences, so they are called ‘spiritual’.

If you are a person who experiences guides, angels or other beings, I have something very important to say to you. Consider this. Everything in creation has been created, which includes your guide, angel, etc. If you did not create yourself, and presumably, your guide or angel which is in a finer level of creation did not create itself, then both you and your angel or guide, are trapped.

You may think that your guide or angel is there to help you, (hence the term ‘guide’), but the truth is completely 100% opposite. To discover complete freedom, to go beyond limits, you need a physical body to complete the journey, through every level of creation- and beyond.

Your guide or angel exists within your aura, otherwise, how else would you be able to perceive them? If you wish to be of the greatest service to your guide or angel, then it is up to you to take yourself, along with your guide/angel, through every level of creation and beyond. It is up to you to set yourself, and your guide or angel, free.

This can only be done by gaining access to the very cause of creation, which includes the cause of yourself and your guide. This access can be got through Spiritual Initiation, which begins with the opening of the third eye chakra. You will then have direct access to the cause of creation, this is known as spirit. By letting go into spirit, you will discover the greatest secret that can be known. It is then, as you let go into spirit, that you will truly enjoy spiritual meditation.

Spiritual Meditation is a journey home, for you and your angel or guide. This opening of the third eye is a permanent gateway into spirit, where you can meditate on the light and sound which actually creates the creation. As you let go, you will eventually become one with spirit. This a permanent state of BEING.

In the same way that, if you wanted to learn how to exercise, there are many types of exercises that would be suitable, depending on your age, fitness, time available and just what are the benefits you would be looking for.

When wanting to learn how to meditate, you could ask yourself

(a) what do I actually want to meditate for?

(b) Is it for stress relief?

(c) Is it to reduce anxiety?

(d) Do I want to discover deeper aspects of myself?

(e) How committed am I to learning to meditate?

These are just a few of the questions that you could ask yourself if you want to learn to meditate. Once you have got a clearer understanding of your own desire for wanting to learn how to meditate, then you are in a better position to decide what form of meditation to undertake, as there are literally hundreds of forms of meditation.

Many beginners to meditation are looking for some peace in their lives, less stress and anxiety, and any other benefits that they experience are often seen as a bonus. However, I have run many ‘How To Meditate For Beginners’ courses, and from my experience, you will have a much more enjoyable and fruitful experience of meditation, if you sit back and really consider why you are wanting to learn to meditate.

If you are looking for less stress in your life, then virtually any form of meditation, if practiced correctly, will reduce your stress levels. Simple breathing techniques are excellent for calming the mind and reducing mental and emotional anxieties.

However, I have noticed over the last twenty years of teaching meditation, that an increasing number of people are looking for more from meditation. If you are one of these people who want to learn how to meditate for reasons other than stress reduction, then the type of meditation that you choose is extremely important.

As I have already said, most meditation techniques will reduce stress. However, if you are looking to explore the possibilities of spirituality or explore aspects of your deepest nature, or are looking for answers to the deepest questions about the nature of life, the nature of death, the nature of love, etc., then your choice of useful meditation techniques is very limited.

Many meditation teachers claim to offer meditation techniques that will reveal to you your deepest nature. Upon further questioning, (and I would always encourage you to question your meditation teacher), you will probably discover that there is some kind of proviso or limit to what they can teach you. For example, a Buddhist meditation teacher can teach you meditation, but can only offer you Enlightenment in another lifetime. So you are expected to buy into the unproven idea of reincarnation, ie; you will discover the whole truth in some future lifetime, that you may or may not ever have. The sheer uncertainty of relying on ‘faith’ or ‘beliefs’, is a cause of anxiety in itself.

My advice, if you are a beginner, wanting learn meditation or have been meditating for the last 50 years, is this. Follow the meditation techniques that I teach. If you are not getting what you are looking for, then keep looking and find another meditation teacher.

The benefits of learning to meditate cannot ever, ever, be overstated. It will change your life. You can learn to meditate by simply watching my 5 free meditation class videos.
