Medium will be a part of the CBS Friday Lineup, which will start at 8pm with Ghost Whisperer (perfect lead in!!), continue to Medium, then end with Numb3rs.

In the Season 6 premiere of Medium, Allison is slowly regaining both her physical abilities and her psychic talents. However, when he ‘gift’ returns as deja-vu, it’s more confusing than enlightening to Allison and to the DA. In fact, when she sets out to investigate newscaster Sophie Collen’s alleged stalker, Peter Winant, the visions are more of a hindrance than a help.

Doesn’t it already feel that Medium will be better promoted in 2009? I know we hardly had any episodic images for the last season, so I hope this season we get more!!

In an interview with Parade, Sofia shares how difficult the role was for her: “In some of the toughest scenes, I’d be crying hysterically between every take.”

Sofia continues in the interview, talking about how hard it was to cut off all her hair, and how she had fun with various fun-colored wigs off the set. Sofia shares that she saved all her hair to make into a wig for the filming of Medium, then donated it to Locks of Love.

In the film, Sofia Vassilieva’s character, Kate, struggles with leukemia. Her parents, Sara (Cameron Diaz) and Brian (Jason Patric), decide to have another child, one genetically engineered to be a perfect organ donor match to Kate. This new daughter, Anna (Abigail Breslin), loves Kate and endures many medical procedures as she grows up. When she hits 11, though, she decides that her body is her own and seeks medical emancipation, which could leave Kate with no hope left. The film is based on a book of the same name by Jodi Picoult.

In case you somehow missed me hollering about the great news (You only live a continent away? How could you not have heard that?) when CBS picked up Medium, here’s the announcement:

Folks, CBS has picked up Medium. The show will air between Ghost Whisperer and Numb3rs, which means I’ll have to start watching Ghost Whisperer again. (You killed her hubby, you murdering writers! A ghost is not the same!) However, I won’t have to stay up til 11 pm, because it will be on at 9 pm EST. And, there’ll be publicity. Actual publicity where people promote a show to draw viewers.

I’m not dreaming, am I? Please tell me I’m not going to suddenly sit up in bed to find it was all a dream.

By the way, now that all of the drama is over, I have to say that I find Silverman’s rant and the CBS NBC is off its rocker response to be absolutely hysterical. I am pretty sure that moving to CBS is the best thing that has ever happened to this neglected and abused show!

Medium Season 6, here we come!

Oh, you’re wondering about the baseball crowd photo, right? Well, it is because of the no Medium fan letters comment. I simply don’t believe it. I figure if NBC execs were at the above game, they’ll soon be reporting that no fans bother to attend baseball games either and I wanted you to see that people were there in the seats. Unfortunately, I don’t have a photo of Medium fan letters for you to see, so we’ll have to do a little investigating. If you sent a fan letter about Medium, stand up and be counted! Leave a comment saying, “Hey, I know I wrote one. What am I? Chopped liver?” or something like that.

A merry band of Twitterers is spreading the news far and wide and bloggers are frantically blogging. With all of the buzz, hopefully the chance will become a definite yes and we’ll be enjoying Medium on CBS for years to come. By the way, it wouldn’t hurt to send out a Tweet to CBS to save #medium. Or if you don’t do Twitter, why not shoot a quick Save Medium!! message through the CBS website?

Now, please stay tuned for a further rant about the sheer mind numbing lameness of NBC: So, umm…Leno is mildly amusing at Midnight if I have insomnia. Do they really think I’ll flip over at 10 pm from another channel where there is a clever sitcom or great mystery show airing so I can listen to him ask really non-bright individuals who the last President of the US was? Really? They really think it was a smart move to replace Medium with Leno? Alrighty then. (Waves goodbye to NBC as it drifts further and further into the far reaches of the television Twilight Zone.)

You know, I just realized this whole post is completely superfluous. I could have just done this:

Yeah, I think that just says it all.

This is one episode I don’t want to miss, so I’m going to watch if I have to prop my eyelids open with toothpicks! Anjelica Huston, Rumor Willis and Balthazar Getty are all in the episode and Patricia Arquette is directing for the second time. Don’t remember who Angelica Huston is? She played Cynthia Keener last season and went to jail for doing in her daughter’s psycho killer.
