Monochrome Print Dress

Hello my lovely blogger friends, it's been a while! From losing my domain, then going on holiday, then finally gaining it back, you can be sure that I'm happy that I'm now fully settled and back posting as normal!

I wanted to share this very beautiful dress I bought on a whim from H&M last week. Love that it's a maxi, as I adore them! Opted for simple accessories today, but I can also imagine it with a gorgeous floppy hat and heels, or a straw hat for a day at the beach!

Trend 1 / In Bloom

ZARA Blazer / MANGO Trousers / H&M Shirt / ZARA Heels & Clutch / H&M Bracelet

"Groundbreaking" Florals (Lol!) are a nice way to shift away from the monotony of the winter palettes and have fun with your style! Here I wore a bloomy blazer from Zara with an all white outfit and paired it with nude heels and this very lovely perspex clutch (also trending this season!).

Trend 2 / Bright Mood

ZARA Dress, Clutch & Heels / H&M Bracelet

Everyone has those days when they just want to don something bright, and now's the time to have more of those! This lovely dress is also from Zara. I love the shape, and the slits in the arms give it a sexy but ultra chic look!

Trend 3 / Monochrome

NEW LOOK Top / TOPSHOP Trousers / ZARA Heels & Clutch / H&M Bracelet

Back to basics black and white! This classic palette is timeless. I modernised the look by pairing this striped chiffon with high waisted trousers and a gold plaited belt. Can't go wrong with these minimal ankle strap heels, which I'm glad are back in fashion!

Balance Me Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm

I wanted to share with you a product that I've recently incorporated into my skin care regime. It's the Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm by Balance me*. Now I've had a fair share of face balms in the past, none too worthy to mention here on the blog, but this, this is amazing.

I'll talk you through the process...

I warm a small amount of the balm in my clean hands, then I gently apply it on my face and neck, massaging the balm with my finger tips in circular motions for about 30 seconds. A sweet zesty scent hits me and the balm glides very smoothly onto my skin.

Then I apply warm water, which turns the balm into a milky consistency, and continue massaging for another 30 seconds. Using a wet muslin cloth (It comes with one!) I remove the balm from my skin, pat dry and follow with my moisturiser, Simple's Hydrating light moisturiser.

After all that, my skin looks radiant and it feels soft and fresh, and the pores that dotted a few areas appear reduced!

Wonderful.

I use this on days when I feel I need a pick me up because it does a lot to enhance the appearance of my skin, and the lovely zesty scent reminds me of summer! It's a great product for normal skin to dry/sensitive skin, but even though I have normal to combination skin, it does work very well for me.
The 125ml which I have retails at around £20, which to me is a reasonable price for such a great cleansing balm! They also have a smaller size, 15ml (£4), so if you want to test it out you can go for that first!

Balance Me products are of natural origin and they don't have unnecessary and artificial colours or fragrance (Those are deal breakers when I'm trying out new skin care products! Lol!).

If you watch my YouTube Channel you would've come to know that I'm deeply in love with this brand. Their Rose Otto Lip Salve* has been a saviour these past winter months as well as their Rose Otto Hand cream*!

No doubt you guys will be one of the first to know when I discover more gems by Balance Me!

The colour of this coat is what makes it so special. I've been wearing a lot of neutrals and all black ensembles, but I really wanted to add some colour into the mix. I guess I'm just impatiently waiting for spring to arrive! The cut is beautiful and I love the feminine shoulder detail, but the zip adds a modern twist to it. Underneath I wore a pair of skinny black trousers, a printed top and paired the whole outfit with court shoes.

It has become a staple piece in my current wardrobe and I love that I can also switch it up in the evening for events. Simple but versatile!

ZARA Leopard Print Wedges

While my excitement is still fresh, I thought to blog about these wedges that I found in Zara today. I was out with my little brother shopping for him, but couldn't resist having a peek in my favourite store! I tried them on and instantly fell in love, but I had to think twice about purchasing them, because on the price tag was £79.99. I gave in and went straight to the counter, and to my surprise they had been reduced to £16.99! Can you believe it?

It was definitely meant to be, my leopard print beauty... I already have a few outfits that have been waiting for you.

Hello my lovelies, hope you're all well! Today was the first day of London Fashion Week, and I took to the cobbles at Somerset House to attend a few shows and observe some awesome street style. I had a really fun day and I got to spend it with lovely people!

It was nice to get dressed up. I went for this sporty luxe look, with these formal joggers and cropped turtle neck, and accessorized with strappy heels! I thought the red lip would add a hint of colour to the monochrome look! It's a lipliner by MAC called Cherry. I can't seem to find my staple Ruby Woo, but this served really well today!

New Things

I'm slowly building my fragrance collection and it seems like I've formed a pattern when it comes to buying them. I buy one at the beginning of the year and wear it all year round, love it then move on to a new one the following year. Last year was Miss Cherie (Dior), the year before was Coco Mademoiselle (Chanel), and this year it's Chance (Chanel), a sensual scent with subtle flowery notes. I'm in love with it.

I thought I'd also share my most recent purchases. I haven't really gone all crazy in the sales this time around, but I did find a few cute things, like this white v-neck jumper from H&M.

The necklaces are from Topshop. I especially love the "Earth" piece. It's part of a collection designed for the different star signs, "Earth" being for Taurus, Capricorn and Virgo.

I'm a Capricorn by the way. :)

Looking back at outfit photos from the past year with a giddy feeling in my stomach! I can say that I really discovered my style this year, what I like and what I feel good in! Capturing moments.

We're half way through December and the time is fast approaching, if not already here, to reflect on the past year. A lot has changed since the beginning of the year, but I'm so grateful for all the experiences I've had and learnt from. I'm looking forward to what the next year will bring.

My Instagram Challenge has been going well, although I must admit, it has been a real challenge: remembering to snap away in between meetings and my busy schedule, and also making sure I've got the right shot! Haha! But that's what it's all about isn't it?

As most of you may already know, I have deactivated my Twitter account, for reasons I don't actually have to explain to anyone, but more so because I've reached a point in my life were I see it unnecessary to share every single thought I have. A site like Twitter just feeds the impulsive need to do just that (and also rant/vent) and often times I've found myself getting so caught up in it. Not very good for one, so it's goodbye for now. Next... Instagram. Just kidding. Capturing a moment on camera and sharing an immediate thought are two different things in my books, so I will stay on there until a time comes for me to move on. But who knows, with this new policy that will go into effect on January 16th 2013, that time may come sooner or later!

Anyway, how are you all?

I know some of you are missing my Outfit Posts, but let me tell you...It's been so COLD and DARK!!!

Mum has made our home so lovely and festive. She has also been babying me a little because I've had a bout with the cold for a few days and have had difficulty sleeping thanks to my annoying cough.

I did try the honey and lemon home remedy and that's made me feel much better!
I'm hoping to post and film a few videos this weekend, most probably my current favourites and a winter haul!

I also wanted to let you know that I set myself a Photo-A-Day challenge on instagram and I'm loving posting on there throughout the month of December. I've had the joy of going through a few others' photos and I've been really inspired by all of them. Find out more about it Here.

Right now I'm sat in my cosy front room with the fireplace on, enjoying listening to my little brother talk about his day at school. :)

I was planning on posting an outfit yesterday, but the rain just did not allow for me to photograph it. London eh?

It's been a while since I last blogged, and trust me when I say that I really wanted to in the last month, but just couldn't bring myself to.
I took a (long) break, in essence, from the online world.

Just needed to breathe and explore other areas of my life. I've since realised that blogging as well as youtubing is a part of my life, and I will always enjoy it, but more importantly is the need to balance it all with everything else. I'm working on it.

I'm currently running around town, but thought to drop in with this post and share with you some of my photos from instagram. At least you'll get a little feel of what I've been up to!

Just have a look at these beauties! All ready and set for me to don as Autumn comes around. I'm very excited to be pairing them with pieces in my new Autumn wardrobe!

I love Autumn because I feel I can be even more experimental with my style, by adding layers, new textures and the like, so very different from the stripped back summer style of dressing! Are you excited for Autumn? I know I am! :)
