Er wurde ihnen

für die Entdeckung der beschleunigten Ausdehnung des Universums durch die Beobachtung ferner Supernovae

Damit ist eine Entdeckung gemeint, die wir heute normalerweise als "dunkle Energie" kennen. Die dunkle Energie ist eine faszinierende Sache. Irgendwas muss da im Universum existieren, dass es dazu bringt, sich schneller auszudehnen, als wir das erwarten. Die Messungen (das sind genau die Messungen für die jetzt der Preis verliehen wurde) haben aber gezeigt, dass dieses "irgendwas" ungefähr 75 Prozent der gesamten Materie/Energie-Bilanz des Universums ausmachen muss! Das ist eine ziemlich verblüffende Erkenntnis, und noch dazu eine, die mittlerweile auf verschiedene, unabhängige Messungen bestätigt wurde. Also absolut würdig, einen Nobelpreis zu bekommen!

Genauso wie die dunkle Materie hat man ihre Existenz aus Beobachtungen gefolgert. Im Frühling 1998 waren Forscher unter der Führung des Australiers Brian Schmidt damit beschäftigt, Beobachtungsdaten von Supernovae zu analysieren.

Eine Supernova ist eine gewaltige Explosion, die dann stattfindet, wenn ein großer Stern über keinen Brennstoff mehr verfügt und sein Leben explosiv beendet. Es gibt aber auch noch einen andere Art der Supernova: dabei kreist ein weißer Zwerg um einen anderen Stern.

So ein Ereignis nennt man eine "Supernova vom Typ Ia" und sie sind sehr wichtig für die Kosmologie. Alle diese Explosionen verlaufen auf die gleiche Art und Weise - die Helligkeit der Supernovae ist also am Ort des Geschehens immer gleich groß. Wenn wir auf der Erde also zwei Supernovae vom Typ Ia beobachten; einmal sehr hell und einmal schwächer, dann wissen wir, dass die schwächere Supernova weiter entfernt sein muss
Mit der Beobachtung von Typ Ia-Supernovae lassen sich also Entfernungen im Kosmos bestimmen - und da die Explosionen sehr hell sind, können so auch weit entfernte Gebiete vermessen werden.
Zerlegt man das Licht, das von einer Supernova kommt, in seine einzelnen Bestandteile ("Spektroskopie"), dann kann man daraus noch weitere Informationen gewinnen. Je nachdem wie schnell sich eine Lichtquelle bewegt, verändert sich ihr Spektrum. Man kann also nicht nur feststellen, wie weit entfernt eine Supernova ist - man kann auch bestimmen, wie schnell sie sich von uns fort bzw. auf uns zu bewegt!
Seit der Forschung von Edwin Hubble wissen wir, dass sich das Universum ausdehnt: alles bewegt sich von allem fort. Diese Expansion hat vor 13,7 Milliarden Jahren beim Urknall begonnen und dauert heute noch an. Früher dachte man, dass die Expansion im Laufe der Zeit immer langsamer werden müsste. Denn auch wenn die Ausdehnung des Universums alles auseinandertreibt, sollte die Gravitationskraft irgendwann dafür sorgen, dass die Ausdehnung gebremst wird.
Genau das wollten die Forscher um Brian Schmidt genauer untersuchen. Man wollte feststellen, wie stark die gegenseitige Anziehung der Materie die Ausdehnung des Universums abbremst.

ie Rate, mit der sich das Universum ausdehnt, wird normalerweise mit der Hubble-Konstante beschrieben. Wenn das Universum sich aber heute schneller ausdehnt als in der Vergangenheit, dann kann die Hubble-Konstante gar nicht konstant sein! Das war wirklich eine dramatische Entdeckung.
Irgendwas, irgendeine bisher unbekannte Energie sorgt also anscheinend dafür, dass sich die Ausdehnung des Universums nicht verlangsamt. Die Wissenschaftler konnten sogar Abschätzen, wieviel von dieser Energie vorhanden sein musste: sie sollte 70% des Universums ausmachen!
Das war schon eine gewagte Behauptung: das Universum besteht größtenteils aus etwas, das wir bisher nicht kannten. So unwahrscheinlich das auch klingen mochte - unabhängige Experimente bestätigten die Behauptung.

Here a short update of what happened in the last few days:

- I got shitted on by a bird on a school fire alarm, outside in front of cca. 50 people. I haven't played lotto though.
- I haven't started with the Hausarbeit of 8 pages about the 'school duty' i did at the police and lawyers office yet. Have to get it finnished by Monday.
- Downloaded a 10gb BBC Documentaries PACK about nature and animals. Pretty neat to watch.
- Thought seriously about buying another World of Warcraft Prepaycard to avoid the boringness at home. By the way Heroes of Newearth gone retail on 12th of May so you now need a buy the game in order to play. Beta ended.
- Have Thursday and Friday no school because of some odd german festivity.

Even though Internet is out there since 1980 or something and we all ~~supposed to~~ know how links work, people still click on weird links with gastronomical meanings which they receive on Yahoo! Messenger and think somebody posted a photo with them on a cooking website. Wrong wrong wrong!
First of all nobody will ever post a photo with you on a cooking website unless you're really fat and look like a Savannah animal.

Do not ever click on links that have the format .exe or are supposed to be photos but have at the end of the link the format .php . A photo can have the following formats: .png .jpg .jpeg .bmp .gif
Anyways, I'm fed up receiving every 5 minutes links with infected websites, not because I'm going to click on them, but it gets me out of Dota.

Funniest news I've heard since the porn movie with Sarah Palin. Thailand sent 20.000$ to Haiti after the earthquake catastrophe so Haiti responded a bit critically to this generous donation. They reported to the Bangkok parliament that the donation was insufficient and that there is a lot more needed in order for them to regrow. This clearly offended the thai people so they thought about something creative. They announced the Unilever Thailand Ltd. enterprise that they should send 50.000 bottles of whitening skin cream to Haiti with one bad ass message ''Dear Haitian people, we have discovered your biggest problem and this will help your economy and will empower your relationship with the nature. Being black is no big success so whiten up your people skin and follow the way out of poverty.'' Yeah something like that, you get the picture.

So now lets be clear, I do not support racism, I think both sides have their own fault on this point. First, Thailand is a moving and developing country with limited financial support so rejecting 20.000$ from a country of the 3rd world and saying that is not enough is just wrong. Same way Thailand shouldn't have brought up this racist joke about black people, they could set up a fight in a meeting or something but not insult people about their heritage and culture.

So we have learned that black people are greedy and thai people racists. There.

Typing from a Lawyers Office PC, with no added English self-correcting dictionary, so expect some phat grammar problems. So yeah, I'm working here as a secretary, its my dream job and I love it. All that I still miss is a blue eared unicorn with 8 legs. Man that would make me so happy. Not actually.
So this is a kind of workplace which you receive from the school for two weeks straight, in order to learn how adults work and become one sooner, because hey, this world needs adults, right ? No.
I'm here in a big spaced room with the main secretary (my nr. 1 rival) and me, the 2nd secretary. We both have our own office. We both drink our coffees at 10 o'clock and talk about Justin Bieber and Rihanna in the breaks. Exactly. No.

All I have to do is open mail, put stamps on written files, copy stuff and play the mailman where I get sent to bring mail to old people. Its obvious, the mailman doesn't like the lawyer so she has to bring the mail to the people herself. But thanks to the Dog Delivery Service aka my School she got a good, loving dog aka me (see the modesty?) to do that for her. Lucky lucky lawyer.
The best thing around here is that I get to have my free time on the PC, write stuff and watch people fall off ladders on Youtube.
By the way my first week of 'school duty' I have spent at the Police Office where I was with the police car through the city and caught bad guys. Too bad it was only a week. It was pretty awesome having the opportunity to sit in a police car, ride with the blue lights and play the justice-bringer. The policemen were also pretty cool to hang out with.
If I had to choose between the Police and the Lawyer I would go with the School. Seriously, is much better sitting on your arse the whole day, writing stuff now and then and be a jerk without having to fear that you're going to slapped by the people around you. Or must you ?

Failing 'skool'

Just got back from school with a big phat FIVE in Biology which is so bad that if I don't get better till the end of the year, I will have to repeat the 11th grade. Regardless of how much I try to get Biology stuck in my head, I can't. This is the second exam in Biology where I get a 5 and seeing my other marks in Maths and Physics, there aren't too many chances left of getting somewhere.The only question I ask myself is, why in the fuck don't they teach lessons in school about things that are useful and needed later on in life ? Its not like I'm going to cut a piece of my skin, put it under the microscope and count how many enzymes I have. Why not teach about global pollution, tsunamis, earthquakes and things that are actually happening and need to be known of. Its ok teaching about humans anatomy but don't get that far into enzymes and fucking enzymes reaction acceleration. If you want to study about it, you can later on at the University. I know there are people out there who think enzymes are insane cool and shit but nobody, absolutely nobody wants to learn about this in College.
This school system is fucked up and I'm getting day by day even more fucked up along with it.

Easter Holiday afterthoughts. not aftershave.

02:00 AM and I can't get no sleep.The whole Easter Holiday I've been playing Dota uncontrollably sleeping in the morning and playing at night. Some people go visit foreign countries, meet with their relatives, have the time of their life, can't stop waiting till they get at school and get asked what they did in the Holiday so they can feel important and get that dude-i-have-connections feeling. I hence and already hate the question that will most be asked tomorrow: "I fucking rode a Unicorn and traveled to Malaysia while playing Wii with Chuck Norris and his sister which is a hot milf that gave me two blowjobs in a row and cooked me muffins. Soooooo, what did you do in the Holidays ?"
To that question I'm simply going to answer "Fuck Malaysia. Dota is by far the best sexual experience ever." .. or something like that.

I can't get no sleep and by saying this again I remember of the song Faithless - I can't get no sleep which is pretty decent. In fact, you should hear it right now.

Don't you love how you can follow my thoughts that are flowing just like girl milk ? I'm saying 'girl milk' because apparently in Germany at the Kaufland Supermarket you can buy "Mädchen Milch", thing that I saw by a friend at home. He gave me some pancakes with white sweet cream on it and said "There you go, girl milk is served."

I'm so bloody tired of this cold, nasty, everlasting winter that I even decided to get wasted in the first day I'll see at least 15 Celsius again. The funny thing is that I'm a guy who actually likes winter and always felt happier when seeing snow, the Holidays decorations in the city and everything. Its probably because I always assembled the month of December with my Birthday, the presents, the Christmas tree and the harmony that was just there. January was also pretty special because the Winter Holidays would end and school would start. For some reason back then I was always happy about the school start and always waited to get the money from my parents and go buy the necessary school stuff.

That innocence has gone with the years and now all I think about is how pissed I am about the weather and that I can't go out without my socks getting wet again and again. Back then when I was a kid I wouldn't even care about it, I would go out and come back home after hours, lay my wet socks on the radiator and do my homeworks without even thinking about tomorrow.

Have you once thought about how much negativity you have and show in your everyday life without even noticing it ? Have you ever thought about what would you do and how would you feel if you were the age of a child again, when feeling low and blue ?

Anyways, these were just some things I had to get off my chest. I know, I'm getting more personal within every day. It'll change. Don't be scared, this won't become a cry-me-a-river-blog anytime soon.

So enough of feces-talk. Let's get to the interesting topic, shall we ?

From my last post on this Blog, which was on the 5th of December many things have happened in my oh-so-busy life. I got to party my 18th birthday and my first steppes in the life of an adult, which needless to say, failed big time. The reason for the failure was that due to my nationality me and some friends couldn't get into any club of Duisburg, us being said by 3 clubs that there were already too many foreign people inside. And let me tell you, that is one of the things I mostly hate about this country.
New Year's Eve is mostly blurred in my memory therefor I can't tell too much about it. Good times.

Apart from all of that I got involved with a polish friend into a Web-project about cars reviews so most of my time went in that direction. Hence my slacking around here. Check it boi.
School is doing good, still getting on my nerves but hey, who wants to be a blogger for whole his life ?

Again, sorry for my slacking and starting today I will try to lessen my time spent on porn websites. Wait, what ?

Even though prostitution is 100% legal in Denmark, Copenhagen beloved Mayor Ritt Bjerregaard does everything she can to stop the sin spread on in the hope that maybe God will reserve her a better place in heaven when the Apocalypse shall come. What a fucking bitch.
In approx. a week there will be a UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen where men with fat wallets and not only wallets will roam the streets and live in Copenhagen's most expensive hotels. After many hours of deep thinking, Ritt Bjerregaard came to the idea of sending postcards with anti-prostitution slogans like "Don't buy our hookers please." or "Be sustainable – Don't buy sex" to 160 hotels in Copenhagen because she apparently cares about the delegates health. After the 'street ladies' have heard this they directly stroke back and said they'll offer free sex to anyone who comes with any of the postcards sent by the mayor to them. Them hookers know how's business done.

So anyway, if you're planning to visit Denmark in the upcoming days and are male, you know which postcards to buy.

If you don't do drugs and have a calendar in your wallet you should know that today is the 1st of December. Why is today such an important day ? Well, if I wouldn't do drugs I would know, so up to the next subject. Nah just playing with you.

On the 1st of December Romania memorializes its unification with Transylvania following the incorporation of Bessarabia and Bukovina 91 years ago, therefor today its Romania's National Day. Romania is a country in Europe by the way. Just putting it out for the people with less geography knowledge out there. Feel insulted.

Also today some celebrate the Worlds AIDS Day where they promote safe sex and pity the HIV/AIDS infected people. Wow! Its almost as helpful as the Organisations that try to lessen the Environmental Pollution. Totally not attention whores.

In 11 days I will become 18 so yeah, I guess this should be the most important news of this post.

A friend of mine just showed me some footage with Traian Basescu, the actual president of Romania literally punching a kid in the face in a Miting in Ploiesti, Romania 2004. The reason he punched him was that the kid kept shouting "Viva Iliescu!", Iliescu being one of Traian Basescu fearless opponents. Now, 5 years after the incident has happened Basescu decided to make the case public. I'm writing about this is to let people from Romania know why they shouldn't vote for Traian Basescu and see what kind of scum he really is.
