It’s a known fact that we all can perceive reality differently, as well as be influenced by something that seems to be the ULTIMATE solution to our financial shortage (that’s fancy talk for being broke!).

But when it comes to starting an internet business, our eyes seem to cross and we only see the profit that could be made.

Truth is, there are a lot of steps to take in between that initial start-up and that “Profit” stage when starting an internet business.

Many of them crucial, as well as many of them being out-dated. There’s a way to tell but I’ll leave that for further on in this article.

• And Last But Not Least, Teaching Others To Duplicate Your Efforts (this is were the BIG MONEY comes in)

I know, these steps at starting an internet business sound intimidating, but in reality they’re just action steps anyone can implement (with the right training of course) and potentially reach that “profit” goal.

But you see, I understand that the majority of you that are reading this article are looking for more information regarding starting an internet business.

So for those of you, I’d like to break each step down to a more simplified definition as to what exactly you’ll be doing when starting an internet business and what needs to happen in order to create a sustainable income from home.

Breaking Down The Steps Of Starting An Internet Business

First, let’s better define what the sales industry truly is and why it’s important to understand when starting an internet business.

• Professional Selling is defined as: “The holistic business system required to effectively develop, manage, enable, and execute a mutually beneficial, interpersonal exchange of goods and/or services for equitable value.”

Note: this definition was published by ASTD in 2009.

Notice the definition says “execute a mutually beneficial, interpersonal exchange,” something that MANY people overlook when starting an internet business.

Remember, when starting an internet business, focus on what your product or service has that will truly benefit someone and share your experience. Facts tell and stories sell.

Next, let’s chat about building relationships.

Ever notice how people buy from people whom they know and trust? Even if they’ve only met them a few moments ago?

You’ll see this a lot at your local electronics or appliance store. That one sales rep that seemed really nice and was willing to take his or her time with you to find the best product and deal that best fit your needs.

Well, this same experience that customer had is what you’ll need to provide someone, even as you’re just starting an internet business.

Relationship building is a very easy, but very important step to take when starting an internet business.

From experience, I began approaching this industry as I was starting an internet business with the complete opposite approach, which only led to frustration at not knowing why someone wouldn’t purchase, let alone let me present what I had to offer them.

It’s all about your intentions as they will be the first thing someone will notice when you’re chatting about them starting an internet business.

Now, as for the other four steps I mentioned above, those are more involved as they pertain to understanding marketing.

Guys (and gals), it’s very simple really! Just remember these words: “Be Yourself!”

2. Visit the forums: Forums are live chat rooms that offer the personal opinion of actual people looking for the same things you are. BEWARE, you might find some people that just simply HATE life and anything it might offer. So the words “work from home online” might be a cuss word to some.
3. Visit the business’s actual website: One of the best ways to learn more about any specific work from home online business is to go directly to their site and see what they have to offer. For example, CarbonCopyPRO has their own site in which they offer recent news activities within the community, a chance to listen in on some of the actual member calls, FREE marketing training offered every Monday evening, etc. This can be the best way to see firsthand what this business all entails.

Home Based Franchise Tips – How Not To Look Like A Complete Idiot While Trying To Grow Your Business

This is one of the absolute terrors of the newbie network marketer. The fear of looking like a complete idiot to their friends, family, and most importantly, the strangers they will be networking with in order to build their home based franchise business.

At it’s a fact, we’ve all felt like complete idiots at one point or another in this industry. But there’s an actual way to avoid this dreadful feeling and I’m about to share it with you.

First, I’d like to clarify one thing. If you’re not willing to socialize with others and are the type of person that feels that a “NO” answer will absolutely crush you, you’re probably in the wrong industry.

Me, like a sucker, jumped on this home based franchise opportunity thinking “This sounds really cool! I think I can do this! It would be nice to make money from home!”

Well, that was the first time I felt like an idiot, right after I found out that pitching to friends and family just labels you as the person no one wants to talk to. Those people I tried getting them to a hotel meeting like the one I attended were avoiding me like the plague!

And I thought to myself “Why?” Why is it that I was convinced into attending that meeting and I can’t get anyone to attend a meeting for me?

That’s when I learned home based franchise tip #1 – I shouldn’t have to force people into looking at my opportunity in order to recruit them into my business. I have to learn how to ATTRACT them to me. (Hope you’re taking notes here :-p)

But There Was More To Learn About This Home Based Franchise Industry

No kidding! Once I realized that there’s a way to not have to pitch ANYONE about my business, I realized I had opened a can of worms.

Think about that person in YOUR home based franchise that is successful, a true leader, and is generating the income YOU want for yourself. What is it that they are doing?

Strategies To Beating The Indecisive Subconscious Voice That’s Telling You To Quit

Ever heard the phrase “successful people make decisions quickly and change their minds slowly?” If you’re undecided on what you want out of life, there’s no true way to focus on your goals, because honestly, you don’t have any.

Let me share with you a story. As days go by, life continuously challenges us.

Whether at our mental state, physical state, or financial state, we always are faced with some sort of challenge that at first might seem overwhelming.

And as the story goes for a hard working man, his life seemed as if there were too many options to take and just not enough hard core information to make a good decision. So he thought…

You may already know, or yet realized, that with every failure comes a lesson to be learned. But as with this gentlemen, his eyes never seemed to be opened far enough to see the door that has opened because of the two others doors that shut for him.

This is the case for many of us. One door closes and we automatically assume that there are no more doors for us to try.

When it’s all said and done, there’s only one thing that causes that “mental blindness” that won’t let you see opportunities arising around you.

Your subconscious mind never truly matures, which results in us making irrational decisions based on a minimal amount of facts. Sort of like children scream when they don’t get what they want, not realizing that Mom or Dad is getting it for them.

Well, in life, the universe is somewhat our Mom or Dad. When we see failures, mishaps, unfortunate situations that consume our entire energy to focus, we automatically do what our subconscious mind tells us. And that’s to scream and shout. (Not literally, but some people do)

If you seem to react to situations that way, then maybe you need to get your priorities straight and realize that your results will not change if you continue doing the same thing you’ve been doing up to this point in your life.

Even when things don’t work out, you’ve got to stay POSITIVE. Whatever sign you give to the universe, it WILL respond. Good or bad!

Once you realize that the only thing that has a stronghold on you is yourself, then maybe, just maybe, you will begin to see through the fog of your own mind and begin to realize the other opportunities that are literally staring at you in the face.

What’s Your Network Marketing Excuse For Not Seeing Results?

Time and time again, I’m seeing the same pattern. Network marketers using the same worn-out marketing strategy that originally never made them a sale, and probably barely generated them any qualified leads.

Enough already!!!

I mean really! How much time and work are you putting into something that honestly isn’t doing a thing for you?

I see this everyday and I can’t help but to pull them to the side and give them some of my own secrets to getting results.

Even if what I share, to me, seems as something that would be common sense, others find it astonishing and thank me for sharing it.

OK, here’s the truth. I love helping others, even if what I shared with them had no direct effect on me making any profits from it.

Is that a good thing? Maybe and maybe not.

You tend to attract a lot of FREE-LOADERS that want everything done for them and do not fully understand the importance of working hard in this industry.

But back to the network marketing excuses, how many of you can HONESTLY tell me that the hundred of hour you’ve spent online, especially on social media, have actually payed off?

Breaking Down The Medial Tasks Most Use As Network Marketing Excuses

First and foremost, SOCIAL MEDIA. For those that are Twitterholics, this one’s for you!

Social media is a great source for finding new friends, business associates, celebrities, gurus, and even the occasional high school friend you haven’t seen in 20 years.

But it can also become the BIGGEST time waster when it comes to your home business.

If you’re staring at the screen of your PC or MAC for hours upon hours at your social media accounts and not really making any profit, can you honestly say you’ve been productive that day?

The answer is obviously not. There are so many tools people can use to automate their social media posts that saves a ton of time, allowing you to focus on actually responding to those that have responded to you.

This cuts back on waiting for someone to socialize with you on social media and you can get back to the more productive tasks of your home business.

Next, is video marketing. We all know how powerful video marketing can be for generating a ton of traffic and leads, but what most don’t know is how to get those videos seen online.

Spending a ton of time recording, editing, re-recording because you didn’t like the face you made at 2:13 minutes in the video, and so on, all time consuming tasks which are important IF you do the EFFICIENTLY and know how to get those videos seen and commented on.

And finally, FORUMS!

Forums are a great tool for socializing but also a HUGE time waster if you’re not focusing on using this marketing strategy effectively.

Using forum marketing, just like social media marketing, takes time, A LOT OF IT!

Finding interesting conversations to post to, arguing with spammers on the forums, having to sit there and explain to the (excuse the phrase) idiot that is calling you a scammer without knowing the first thing about this industry, ALL TIME WASTERS!

How To Break Free Of The Network Marketing Excuses

The point here is that you have to be managing your time and focusing on the tasks that WILL bring you the results you’re looking for.

You need to sit back, think about ALL the tasks you perform throughout your day in your home business, and organize them from most important to least important.

Remember, you are the CEO of YOUR BUSINESS.

Would you fire yourself for all the time you waste online? There’s been ton’s of times I know I would have fired myself.

So STOP WASTING TIME online and set up time management for your home business, because it’s YOUR HOME BUSINESS!

Even as a kid, I’ve always wanted to be someone that empowers others. Someone that motivates others to do even the very things I couldn’t do but always wanted to.

Growing up wasn’t easy. Rough neighborhoods, bad influences, and situations that a kid should never see let alone have to go through were just some of the things my two sisters and me had to experience.

But even with these obstructions around me, I’ve always kept a different attitude about life. I always knew there was something better out there but just didn’t know what it was.

Coming across many people as I grew up allowed me to see and experience the good and the worst life has to offer us all.

I Can’t Get This Memory Out Of My Head

The one memory that will probably never leave my mind is the one of a baseball park, the one across my best friend’s (at the time) home.

Police, people screaming, and a shot that rang out are the images that still bounce around my mind. All of this happened at my tender age of 8.

But my vision of life never changed. I knew that I had a purpose of being here and I was determined to find out what it was, no matter what!

At 17, I graduated high school. At 19, I graduated technical school, which gave me my certification in my career as an automotive mechanic, a career decision I still regret to this day.

And as I learned the outcomes of my decisions in life, a vision still remained with me of a life as an entrepreneur, free from Corporate America’s stronghold.

So What Made Ya Do It?

But I knew, that even as I felt that inside me somewhere was the courage I needed to make something happen, empowering others was still a burning passion I had.

For this very reason, I decided to become an entrepreneur, a decision I knew was not going to be an easy one but one that I fell will be highly rewarding in empowering others.

I started this entrepreneurial venture only 3 years ago. Actually, the year that my son was born. I know, should of done this a lot sooner, but life has a weird way of telling you when and where to take that extra leap of faith.

Fortunately, it was the best decision I ever made. It’s given me the opportunity to share something I always knew I had but never knew that I had what it took to empower others to reaching their goals as well.

Today, life is grand! Even though I’m not even halfway to my goal, I’ve accomplished so many short term goals and empowered many individuals to do the things in life they thought they couldn’t never do.

Now I’m not talking about making miracles happen, but I’m talking about giving someone that little push they needed to go after what they want out of life, to begin seeing life differently, and to actually begin seeing results from their efforts.

Now that’s truly empowering! Seeing others do things even better than I could possibly do is the best feeling in the world. You get a sense of fulfillment when someone tells you, “I consider you my mentor and I look up to everything you do.”

For those that know who you are, THANK YOU!
