Gray Aegis

The following trick can be used to get The Gray Aegis from the Arena combatant. Let him break his sword on you so he puts away his sword and shield. Then kill him and revive him with the Staff Of Worms. Duplicate him with the Skull Of Corruption. Kill the clone. Line the clone's dead body up so you can access his inventory and quickly save. Load the saved game and repeatedly tap 'Open' until the clones inventory becomes available.

Easy Blade Experience

The following trick can be used to master your Blade Skill quickly. Go to the Imperial Waterfront then go directly south from there. You will then eventually find a place called Faregyl Inn. Once inside, talk to Alix Lencolia and he will master your Blade Skill. You will need at least 9,000 Gold (you do not have to do it all at once).

Defeating Dread Zombies Easily

Use a weapon enchanted with some sort of Fire attack, such as the Longsword Of The Blaze or the Fire Blade. When you have this the Dread Zombies will die within three hits.

See Through Walls

When you have the Magic Staff reduce it's status to zero. Then attack a wall and you will be able to see whats on the other side.

Duplicating much easier

Okay I have read everyones cheat on how to duplicate and for me I can't get it to work, so here is an much easier and simple way.
Don't use bow and arrows!!
There are 2 different and easier ways to do this.
1) Equip your fists or a weapon, not the bow.
Now you must do this quick.
Hit (are) trigger and during mid swing hit (B) to open inventory.
Once inventory is open, equip arrows...NOTE: you must have at least 10 arrows or more,.
Equip arrows if not already equipped if not hit (A) twice and you will read the following message..."You can't change weapons while attacking", than hit (X) to drop item and exit inventory.
With this cheat, you can duplicate potions, spells, jewelery and soul gems just not quest items.
Works really good for repair hammers to but be warned, WATCH YOUR WEIGHT.
The second easy way is to use scrolls, don't matter which one any will do.
All you have to have is ore than 2 of the same scroll.
Open inventory and select scroll and hit (A) twice and drop, (X), the item you want to duplicate and exit inventory.
Warning...Do not use more than 40 scrolls to duplicate arrows cause you will be wondering around like a homeless person looking for what you dropped.

Unlimited Lockpicks

Step 1 kill an innocent person
Step 2 sleep
Step 3 accept to join the dark brotherhood
Step 4 go to the Inn Of Ill Omen and kill rufio trap door on the floor to the left as soon as you enter
Step 5 draw out most powerfull weapon
Step 6 after speaking to Lucien LaChance attack him before he disappears
Step 7 even if he is invisible keep attcking him until he becomes unconcious
Step 8 go into sneak mode until he wakes up
Step 9 just as he is getting up quickly pickpocket him
Step 10 place all you lockpicks in his invetory and switch to his, keep clicking take then replace them back in his so you can take more at once (don't take all!! And don't go over 99-)
You wont have a bounty when your done and you will always have lockpicks for the whole game! Happy lockpicking :D!!

How to find the Dragon Sword with Cool Spell!

You first will need to find a castle called "Battle Horn Castle" (I am not sure if it requires DLC, but I have shivering isles..) After you reached Battle Horn Castle, go to the training room, where the orc is.. Then inside the training room, there is a shooting area to shoot your bows, go in that room, and go behind the target that you shoot at.. Then use a light spell or Night eye, then you will see a candle, activate the candle behind the target, and a door in the wall will open, go inside, go in the door, and then there will be a skeleton thats powerful, and some type of mage with him aswell.. Kill them both and pick up the sword that the skeleton has, It is called "Dragon Sword" once you equipt it, it will give you a sword called "Dragon Breath". Its a two hit kill! And if you kill someone at the water front, YOU WILL GET AWAY WITH IT!

Helmet of Fin Gleam

I know others may have submited this but this is more detailed.

First travel to anvil (far west of the world map) and west on the coast you'll find an island . Around the middle of it you'll find a rock . From there look around West-ish, out to sea . Walk forward and swim down into the bottom and follow the ground until you reach a skeleton . The helmet is there. Its powers are night vision, water breathing and detect life 20 ft.

Making Objects Not Stolen

If you steal an object, but do not want the item to appear stolen as you do not want the guards to confiscate it, then simply sell the item to a fence then buy it back. Although costing a bit of money (dependant on item and mercantile skill) it can save you the trouble of getting the item confiscated and then trying to find it again.

Easy way to Pickpocket

When an essential NPC is knocked unconscious, the second he starts to stand up again you can pickpocket him and no matter how low your sneak skill is, you will successfully pickpocket your target.

Duplicate items

All you need for this is multipule magic scrolls and a item that you want more of. First press A on the scroll that you have more then one of. Second drop the item you wish to duplicate. Note: dose not work on some items, items that are currently equiped, or any wepons or armor that has been damaged or enhanced by high armor skill, any magic wepons that dosen't have a full charge, or quest items that it wont let you drop. Dont duplicate any item that quanity is one if the number of scrolls is more then 150 might slow or freeze you game if you do so.

Another dupe cheat for after patch

As you all know you can use a bow and arrows to dupe items. Well not after the patch you cant. But! I have discovered another way!(not taking full credit may be elsewere. Not sure.) After the patch to dupe an item all you need are scrolls. If you have 2 of one type of scroll and 1 of another type all you have to do is double click the one you have 2 of then drop the single scroll. doing so will cause the single scroll to become 2 copies. pick up one of them and do this again. then you will have 4 scrolls of that type and still two of the first one. copy the two scrolls with the four and then vise versa. do that till you have atleast 25 or so scrolls or desired amount. then double click one type of scroll and drop item you wish you be duped. item should then multiply just like with bow. ps. after you get all the scrolls you need you can just drop the other kind you have less of you only need one kind of scroll. I also found out that you can just buy a bunch of scrolls and use them. Hope this helps.

What you do is go to the island just off of the coast near Anvil. You get onto that island and the jump in the water.Line yourself up with the rock on the island and dive. [b][/b] [i][/i] WARNING! YOU MAY NEED A WATER BREATHING SPELL! Go down to the bottom and you will find a skeleton with a glass helmet called Fin Gleam.It is enchanted with water breathing, night eye, and something else (!it's a surprise!)

first you must download the vile lair, then buy the prisoner from some dude on the stairs in the inn to the west of the imperial city. After that go to the prisoner and attack him with anything or sneak near him

How to keep Hyromir's Staff

First you MUST beat the mages' guild story line, then enter the theives guild. Go to the part where you steal Hyromir's Staff, then after you beat the quest go to the Arcane University and take the staff.

unlimited attributes

you will nneed a filled grand soul gem at a grand level ,and any form of ring . to do this glitch/cheat you will need to be a member of the arcane university. once you fast travel to the arcane university enter the house with enchantment alters and enchant your ring with a fortify attribute after this duplicate the ring you have made and pick up both of them. equipe (sorry for spelling ) one of them and drop the one you are not wearing and both will drop you will have none of the rings but you will have its enchantment forever . you can do this as many times as you like but not with the same ring

Higher level, better loot

As you progress through the game and level up, you'll notice better loot starts to drop. Better loot like weapons, armour and enchantment effects on weapons and armour is also enhanced. The better the enhancement the more the item is worth too.

How to reach highest level possible

When creating your class and selecting your skills etc at the beginning,do this. if you are going to be a warrior select the mage, and skills that your race ISNT good at, that way it will start at a lower level, meaning you can get an extra few level ups when leveling your character.

Secret chest in tutorial

During the escape at the start of the game, there is a chest hidden in the room with a big light in the middle, 3 - 4 rats, a rusty iron helm, and lots of wood and vegetables. As soon as you enter this room take a left, may look like a dead end but if you look at the wall there are a few bricks missing and if you look where they used to be (under the wall) there is a chest with an Average lock difficulty. The chest contains a few lockpicks, torches and 20 gold.

Word of Advice: I recommend saving before any attempts are made, especially if your not very good at lockpicking.

Get more neighbors

I don't know if this is a cheat or a tip and trick but, to get more neighbors all you have to do is look at the walls of the bakery's you visit to leave tips. Chances are there are at least a few people (probably more depending on their activity and level) who have left their id on the wall. Just go to your invite tab and enter the id's left on the wall.

Aging

Unlike Sims 2 where you enter a cheat code to toggle 'aging on' and 'aging off' you can de-activate aging altogether in Sims 3. To de-activate aging go to 'Options' and select 'Game Options' and uncheck the box next to 'Aging'. When you do this your Sims will no longer become older, you can also slow aging down in this menu by setting the 'Lifetime' bar from between 25 to 960 days.

Changing your Name

Do the following if you want to change your Sims name but don't want to start over again from scatch. Go to your map and find the City Hall and there will be an option to change your name during the daytime between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. during the week (Monday through Friday).

Get New Clothes

Buy a dresser from 'Buy Options' to be able to get new clothes. When you have a dresser select 'Plan Outfit' to be taken to a screen like you see in 'Create-A-Sim' mode which will allow you to edit your saved outfits or create new looks.

An easy way to make money is to start writing novels on your computer. Write fiction novels as they take the least amount of time. To begin with the novels won't bring you much Simoleons but your skill will automatically advance the more you write and when your skill is high enough you will be able to write more genres. The most money can be made from Romance Novels and you will get royalties for six weeks once you finish a book. When you have the 'Writing' skill maxed out you can make about 40,000 Simoleons every week which is more than the 34,800 Simoleons you can get by purchasing ALL neighborhood businesses and takes less time to achieve. In three game weeks you should have a very high speed writing, 9 or 10 novels as best sellers and 100,000 Simoleons.

Making Friends

An easy way to make friends is to buy a guitar and learn how to play it. Keep learning how to play until you reach 5/10 level and you will gain the ability to 'Play For Tips'. When you have this ability go to the park with the guitar in your inventory and select 'Play For Tips'. People watching you play will become your friends and the higher your guitar skill the faster they will become friends with you.

Avoid Death

Near the gate at Pleasant Rest Graveyard there is a bush called 'Death Flower Bush'. Harvest the flower from it and keep it in your Sim's inventory and if you die that Sim will give that flower to the Grim Reaper and be resurrected. The flower will not reappear there again but if your Sim has level 7 Gardening they can plant the Unknown Special Seeds found in the graveyard and some other places that have a chance to grow as a Death Flower. It is also worth having the Green Thumb trait which can be used to revive the plant.

Learn Four Skills at Once

If you read 'Easy Cooking, Gardening, or Fishing Skill' by Tony Ortale and keep repeating Tony's steps until each skill channel has been viewed the Sim will keep learning the three skills as he or she goes on about their daily life and the fourth when doing skill activities.

Quick Money

You can easily earn a few thousand dollars if you go to friend's (or stranger's) houses in the game. Usually, they're more likely to be at home in the middle of the night, so try and wander around town then. Find bookcases in the houses, open them and move all the books into your inventory. When you've successfully looted every house with a bookcase, just go to the library and take everything there - it will take several trips as your inventory will get full, but it brings in good money!

I don't know if this is a cheat or if it is an accident my wii had but I bought 103 catfish in the supermarket (but the MUST be ALL 3 star) I then went home and put them in my fridge I slept for as long as I wanted,I took them out of my fridge and sold them to the supermarket and then it gave me Â£999,999. Stop Future Wives/Husbands from dying, or just friends.

If you want to keep your best friend alive so that you may one day marry him/her, then follow these simple steps to stop them from dying, as it Will happen.
Things needed:
Green thumb trait is recommend as you can simply keep reviving the Death Flowers which are nearby the Gate at the Cemetery/Graveyard next to the abandoned warehouse
1. Have them move in so that you can control them (obviously)
2. Get them to pick the death flowers and have it on them at all times. When they die the flowers will serve as a bribe to instead be revived rather than turn into a grave.
3. Use the sim with the green thumb trait in order to revive the Death Flowers.
4. Repeat steps 2-3, and enjoy your immortal spouse!

Note: the Death order goes by the way that 1 sim will die every day, old sims will usually go first with the young ones dying last, it may make it harder to do, but this still works.

How 2 Get A Boyfriend/Girlfriend

Here is how to get a girlfriend/boyfriend, 1. Be Friends 2. Go to "be romantic" and select "first kiss" 3. Now insted of "Friends", it wil say boyfriend/girlfriend. Thanx 4 readin'!!!
P.S. If it doesn't say "first kiss", keep bein' friendly until it says "first kiss"

If you are making your kid go to school but don't want to go the car ride with them you turn into the kid click on the car and instantly after you click on go to school switch into a different person. Seriously it works but, you have to be super fast in order to do it

Don't Die from Falling

Right before you hit the ground, save. Load that save and you will land lightly on the ground.

Steal All 37 Gold Bars In "Dead Money" (DLC)

Note: You will need a few C4 and a Detonator for this exploit. In the final part of the game you will enter a vault with 37 gold bars weighing 35 pounds each. Each gold bar is worth 10.539 caps. Clearly you can not take them all -- unless you use this exploit.

Enter the vault and the door will seal behind you. Take everything in the room that you want to including the 36 gold bars on the table to your right and the 1 gold bar on the overseers desk. Deactivate the security system and activate the computer on the desk. IMPORTANT: Only read "Vera", DO NOT access the file that shows up after you read it. Elijah will appear on the monitor, convince him to meet you in the vault. When the conversation ends leave the room immediately (it unlocks), and walk to the far right stairway. A blue force field will appear blocking your path, lay your C4 at the bottom of those stairs and then press your body against the blue force field in the doorway. When Elijah finishes speaking, for some reason you and he switch places. (You'll see what I mean) Make sure he is on or very near your C4. Detonate and leave the way you came. Congratulations you now have 37 Gold Bars worth a total of 389.943 Caps.

Kill Without Gaining Infamy

You need an anti-material rifle with incendiary ammo for this cheat. Equip your rifle and change the ammo type to incendiary. Use VATS on a target and quit the VATS after targeting. Now the target is on fire without you gaining infamy or agroing anyone. You may use this trick several times on stronger targets. Note: This cheat worked before later updates; it may be patched.

Infinite Magazines

In Freeside, go to the Old Mormon Fort. Seek out Julie Farkes inside the Fort. Choose the dialogue option to help them get medical supplies. Click through the dialogue options to hear one that tells you that she just got a shipment of magazines. After all this you will need to choose the option "I have some medical supplies to drop off." There are three options; choose the Rad-Away as this is the easiest one of the three to find. You only need to leave one thing if you don't care about fame. Every time you give them something you will gain more fame. After you give them the supplies choose the option "I'd like to buy medical supplies." There are a few aid supplies here that you can get if you want although they will not regenerate. In the supply list you can find the Magazines. Buy up what you want and then exit. After that, choose the option to give med supplies again. This time you need not give them anything just choose the "Never mind" option. Go back to "Buy medical supplies" and you can repeat teh process for more magazines. You can do it infinitely as long as you choose to drop off supplies first. You can even come back to at a later time. Here are the magazines you can score:

Achievement/Trophy Hint: Snow Globes

The Globe Trotter Achievement / Trophy requires you to collect seven Snow Globes in New Vegas. Here are the locations of all seven:

Mt. Charleston Snow Globe - Jacobstown / In the lodge, search the entrance and reception area. This Snow Globe is sitting on a curved desk by some terminals.
Mormon Fort - Old Mormon Fort / Julie Farkas has an office inside a tower at the fort. The Snow Globe is on top of a bookcase here.
Test Site - Lucky 38 Casino / Head to the cocktail lounge and look for the cash register. It's across from the entrance. The Snow Globe is behind the register.
The Strip - Vault 21 / After you access Sarah's locked bedroom, grab this Snow Globe off of the table between the two beds.
Nellis AFB - Nellis Air Force Base / Pete's makeshift museum holds this Snow Globe. It's on a table in the corner under a mural.
Hoover Dam - Hoover Dam / Search the visitor center for a terminal near two curved desks. The Snow Globe can be found on a desk here.
Goodsprings - Goodsprings Cemetery / Near the water tower is a patch of upturned soil by a small, rectangular grave marker. The Snow Globe is sitting in front of the marker.

Free and Unlimited Caps, Items and More

Like Fallout 3, you can use this trading exploit to earn essentially infinite amounts of caps, items, repairs and ammunition. Here's how:

1. Find any shop-based trader and sell him any stuff in your inventory that you don't need and complete the transaction. This will boost the amount of money he has.

2. Find something in your inventory that you have two of or something that you and the shop keeper both have. Sell an item or two to the trader so he has two of them.

3. Check that the two identical items are of different values once they are in the trader's inventory. The bigger the difference in value, the better.

4. Now buy the cheaper of the two identical items and complete the transaction, but do not leave the trade session. Look for the item in your inventory. The item should have gone up in value dramatically and should be 100% repaired, even though when you sold the item initially it wasn't! If it isn't 100% repaired for whatever reason, sell the item back to him anyway and repeat steps 3-4, trying a different item if necessary.

5. Now you will be able to sell the same item for a high price and buy it back at a low price until you have drained his money completely. If you want, you can hold onto the item as it will be fully repaired -- simply keep it on the final round which will leave him with a small amount of money. Either sell the item back to him again once he is out of money, or if you are keeping it, sell him something else of high value and he will owe you that amount. The transaction price will go dim and remain at whatever amount of money he has left.

6. Search through the trader's inventory and find stuff you need. Stimpaks, ammo, miscellaneous item, weapons and armor are all fair game. Eventually, the transaction price will light up again and you may owe him a few caps depending on how much of his stuff you added to the deal. Complete the transaction.

7. If you wait three days he will have new stock and around 650 caps. The longer you wait, the more robust his inventory will become and the more caps he'll have for you to take when you're ready to do this all over again.

Note: Be sure to save while using this method since the game is prone to crashing during the transaction.

Infinite XP

There are several ways to get XP through "devious means," here's a list of some of the most effective methods. Note: These methods are based on game bugs that may not be reproduce-able in every version of the game.

Win Big at Caravan

You can stack the deck in your favor to win at Caravan virtually every time. A Caravan deck has a minimum of 30 cards -- which you can buy from merchants or find on dead bodies -- so you need to choose those that will get you between 22 and 26 consistently while also giving you defensive cards to use against your opponent.

Here's a great setup. Take these cards with you:

Jacks, Aces and Jokers are defensive plays. Use Jacks to remove cards from your opponent. Ace and Joker played will remove all cards of your Ace's suit (an Ace of Spades and Joker will remove all spades from the table). Kings will double whatever they are placed on. Optimally, 6+K+K = 24.

Here's how to play to win: To open, lay down your highest or lowest cards first to start the 'base' of your caravan. 10+9+8=27 so don't use this combination. 6+7+8=21 so don't use this either (unless you put your Ace down after the 8 to make 22). But every play between is a winner. As stated above, 6+K+K=24 is also a winner. Using this strategy, you are virtually guaranteed to win each hand of caravan, no matter how high your luck!

You can accumulate nearly unlimited items and caps by playing Caravan. Seek out vendors with lots of cash and items. Buy all the items you can afford off them, then challenge them to a few games of Caravan and win back all your money!

Really Easy Caps from Gun Runners

The Gun Runners store on the east side of New Vegas has a locked fence and several guard blocking the entrance to the "factory." Pick the lock and the Gun Runners will begin firing at you. Kill them and loot their bodies for Combat Armor, Hunting Rifles and Combat Helmets. All of these items are worth money, and each Gun runner has about 1,500-2,000 Caps worth of loot on their person. Enter the building to find more Runners to slay. After doing this, approach the Vend-Tron robot at the Gun Runner shop, who has 8,000 Caps to burn, and sell it your loot. Now, travel far away, wait for three in-game days and return to the area to find the Gun Runners have respawned and are ripe for the "harvest."

Kill People with No Consequences

You can kill people without making them hostile or damaging your reputation. Pick up a barrel or any large object you push or pick up. Drop it next to a standing NPC that isn't leaning against a wall, doing push ups, or sitting on ground or in a chair. Run against the barrel or large moveable object, it will damage the NPC without becoming hostile and losing reputation. However, it can damage you a little and might send the object flying. I would recommend trying it on stationary targets until you get used to this trick. Note: Heavier armored or tougher NPCs will take a while to kill with this method.

Unique Armor

Here is a list of where you can find unique armor.

Gannon Family Tesla Armor: The Gannon Family Tesla Armor can be obtained during the personal quest for Arcade Gannon. When doing his quest and gathering all his allies, convince him to stay in Freeside for the duration of the battle. You need an INCREDIBLY high speech ability -- at least 80 speech. As a reward, he will give you the Gannon Family Tesla Armor, helmet and all. You need power armor training to wear this. Submitted by gamerzgod123.

Chinese Stealth Armor: The Chinese stealth armor can be found in the Hoover Dam offices. It's in the room with the toxic barrels and green goop. Once you see the room, turn to your left. You should see a bunch of wooden crates. Inside one of these crates is two sets of Chinese Stealth Armor. Both weigh 20.00. Unfortunately, the invisibility thing the armor does in Fallout 3, is gone now -- all it does is give you +5 sneak. Submitted by gamerzgod123.

T-51b Power Armor: Armor or to be precise armors are located near HELIOS 1 . From there head west towards the cliffs. From the cliffs turn left and head to a small canyon, which by the way is full of scorpions, that leads to a "Scorpion gulch". There you have 2 options up left or up right. Up left is Brotherhood of Steels camp, but we head up right. When you detect small amounts of radiation you're close. Kill a few centaurs that are leaching the radiation and you see a possible meteor crater with large amounts of radiation. At the bottom you see two(2) dead Brotherhood of Steel Paladins who wear T-51b Power Armors. Armors are in pretty bad shape, but after repairing them you own possibly best armor of the game. T-51b Power Armor (Non Faction): This armor does not have any faction effects, and is the only NON-BROTHERHOOD T-51b power armor in the Game. The Deathclaw Promontory is located across the river East of Ranger Station Echo. There is no map marker for this location. Look for a walkway that goes up a mountain right off the shore. You must defeat 20-25 Deathclaws including 2 Mothers and 1 Alpha male. There are 2 dead prospectors bodies lying on the ground on the far right side of this area. One of them has the T-51b Power armor and a Tri-Beam Laser Rifle and the other has the Remnants Power Armor and a Multiplas Rifle.

Deckard's Gun from Blade Runner

The store in Novac has "That Gun," a gun that resembles Deckard's Gun from Blade Runner. This is also the name of a gun in previous Fallout games.

Unique Weapons

Each weapon type in Fallout 3 has a unique weapon with special capabilities. Here is a list of where you can find these unique weapons.

Abilene Kid LE BB Gun: The Abilene Kid LE BB gun is a unique BB gun. It can be found in Fields Shack on the shelf to the far left corner of the house. If you have the Wild Wasteland trait from the beginning of the game on, it will be located in Jimmy's Well, which is just outside of Fields Shack. If you have Rex the cyber dog, and you talk to him with the Wild Wasteland Trait, he might start howling and eventually he will mark Jimmy's Well on the map for you. You get a variety of guesses to figure out what's wrong, but the correct one is that someone fell down a well, which is a reference to Lassie. Fields Shack is located between Nellis Airforce Base and New Vegas Medical clinic, if your having difficulty, it's North East from the clinic, and South west of the airforce base. It's on the road to and from the Airforce base, you should see a guy named George, warning you about the Boomers and their artillery guns.

AER14 Prototype: This laser rifle is located in Vault 22. This vault can be found between Westside and Jacobstown or by doing the side quest There Stands the Grass for the scientist at Camp McCarren. Once inside, you'll find the rifle on the fifth level-pest control, behind a (very easy) locked door leading into a blocked off area of the fourth level. Look on the ground next to a skeleton and there it is.

Alien Blaster: Find the crashed alien ship near top right hand corner of map. The ship is on top of the cliffs. Below are 3 aliens. Kill the captain for the blaster and ammo -- like Fallout 3 it's one of the best guns in the game.

All-American: All American is a unique Marksman Carbine. You can find it at the armory in Vault 34. First, find the passwords from the drowned techies underwater -- it helps if you have the rebreather. Find the terminal that holds one of the passwords, that will unlock a door. That leads to another room with another drowned techie. Take that password to security sector A and there is another terminal that will control the pump to drain the water. This will give you access to another room that you couldn't reach before. Using the new found password, you will unlock the Overseer door and with that terminal. You unlock the armory door that holds All American and a crap ton of other loot. Beware of ALOT of feral ghouls. All American is found on a turned over table directly to your right point of view once you enter the room. Vault 34 is INCREDIBLY confusing.

Annabelle: Annabelle is a unique missile launcher carried by a super mutant sniper, on Black Rock Mountain, on Black Rock Summit, somewhere near Goodsprings and Jacobson Town. the mutant is on what looks to be a electrical tower or a radio tower of some sort. He's carrying Annabelle -- you can't miss him, he'll be the one shooting you on top of a radio tower. The place is SWARMING with nightkin and super mutant masters mostly and the place is HEAVILY irradiated, get armor and pop some Rad-X, this won't be easy.

Big Boomer: Big Boomer is a unique sawed-off shotgun carried by Old Lady Gibson in Gibson Scrap Yard, North of Novac. You must kill her -- preferably silently and undetected due to the amount of dogs with her. DO NOT kill her until you finish the "ED-E my Love" and "Come Fly with Me" quests, otherwise you will fail the quests.

Chance's Knife: Chances Knife is a unique combat knife located in Chance's Grave, which is located at the tribal village. The tribal Village is located north west of Goodsprings Cemetery and North and little west of Goodsprings itself. The place is pretty obscure since it's in a very mountainous region of the map. The village is dangerous in a sense, since they are usually some Cazadors and a few Fiends. Bring a good weapon just in case. You need a shovel to dig the grave, and the grave is pretty obscure too -- it's on a hidden hill, near the village.

Chopper: The Chopper is a unique meat cleaver found on the stove of Wolfhorn Ranch. Wolfhorn Ranch is located South East of the Prospectors Den, which is South East of Primm, and the ranch is also fairly close to Nipton, North East of Nipton where the road turns right and splits into a bunch of roads.

Cram Opener: The Cram Opener is a unique bladed gauntlet carried by Little Buster who can be found in Camp McCarren, punching a punching bag. If you hunt Fiend bounties for the NCR, they will point you to Little Buster. You must kill him to get the Cram Opener. He will disappear eventually, so be quick.

CZ57 Avenger: Here is how to find the upgraded mini gun called the C257 Avenger. The easiest way to get to it is to find Ranger Station Bravo. If you've done the Return To Sender quest you've probably already found it. If not, it is six sections down from the top of the right side of the map, and between three and four to the left. Once you get there, travel east. You should discover a place called the Devil's Throat. It is highly radiated so have some Rad-X on hand as well as some Rad-Away. You can make pretty easy work of the Evolved Centaurs and the Centaurs there. Once you clear the area, this extremely fast mini gun is in the truck along with plenty of 5mm ammo for it.

Driver Nephi's Golf Driver: Nephi's Golf driver is a unique golf club, and is one of the "simpler" melee weapons to get. The golf club is located on Driver Nephi, who is a fiend, so either way, you will probably kill him. He is located around the area of Camp McCarren and New Vegas and is one of the three fiend bounties, so if you can't find him, activate the quest and it will point you in the right direction. You can activate the quest by talking to a guy located in Camp McCarren..

Euclid's C-Finder: Euclid's C-Finder is a unique weapon that uses the power of the sun to burn your enemies to ash. It can only be fired once per day -- and only outside -- because the lasers must recharge. To use this weapon, during the quest "That Lucky Old Sun," you must program the Helios One power station output to ARCHIMEDES. You can find it in freeside, near the east gate -- a boy named Max carries it. You can either buy it for 1000 Caps (or 20 Caps with a barter skill of 45), pickpocket, or take it from his bedside while he is sleeping. He goes to sleep around 9:30. He sleeps on the second floor of the building on the right after coming into Freeside from the East Gate.

Figaro: Figaro is a unique straight razor. You obtain this weapon by killing Sergio in the back of The Kings School of Impersonation. Try to be stealthy about it; everyone in that building has a gun. Sergio is the barber of the Kings.

Gobi Campaign Scout Rifle: The Gobi Campaign Scout Rifle is a unique sniper rifle found in the foot locker in the snipers nest overlooking Cottonwood Cove, a Legion hideout/base. You MUST have a Lockpick skill of 100 to open the footlocker.

Golden Gloves: If you want the Golden Gloves, look inside the Lucky 38 Casino in The Strip. Look in the Casino upstairs on the left side above the cashier station and look in the top shelf on the left side of the bar table. The Golden Gloves and the Boxing Times magazine will be right there.

Holy Hand Grenade: The Holy Hand Grenades are exactly what they sound like; grenades. You can find them in the most eastern church of Camp Searchlight, which is somewhere in the southern part of the map. There is a catch though: You MUST take the Wild Wasteland Trait at the Beginning of the game or the grenades will be replaced with a mini nuke for a Fat Man. The basement does contain some golden geckos and high radiation, so pop some Rad-x before heading down.

Knock Knock: Knock Knock is a unique fire axe that can be found in Camp Search Lights Fire Station. You need to have a key to the building so first go talk with prospector leader who is stationed at the church basement. Go fetch few radiation suits for him and then you can follow him to the police station and after that to the fire station. Kill this massive Queen radscorpion and grab a couple fire axes with you (can be used to repair the "Knock Knock"). Go to second floor and advance to the toilets. Open the second booth from the door and grab "Knock Knock."

La Longue Carabine: La Longue Carabine is a unique Cowboy Repeater carried by Corporal Sterling whom you must kill if you want to obtain it.

Liberator: The Liberator is a unique machete carried by Legion officer Dead Sea who is located in Nelson. If you're friendly towards the Legion, Nelson is located near the South east corner of the map, west of the Giant River that separates from the mainland. If you're friendly towards NCR, follow the quest for the NCR in Camp Forlorn Hope and talk to the commander inside the tent. Eventually he will send you and 3 other guys to retake Nelson. You will probably kill Dead Sea by the end of it. Search corpses until you find the Liberator -- it will be found on dead Sea.

Love and Hate: Love and Hate is a unique spiked knuckles. You can get it from Bonnie Springs (located north from Goodsprings cemetery). Kill Viper gang leader and loot her body.

Lucky: Lucky is a unique .357 revolver. It can be found at the Steve Bison place in Primm. It's behind the cash register in the gift shop, in a safe that's in the floor. The gift shop is the the most North Eastern part of the first floor. You must have a lockpick skill of 75 to open the lock.

Maria: This pistol is really easy to get. When you get to meet Caesar (Caesar's legion) all you need to do is complete a short guest from Caesar and after that you are given a chance to kill Benny. Kill Benny and then loot his corpse. You find this pistol "Maria", which by the way is the same pistol that Benny used to "kill" you when the game began.

Mercy: Mercy is a unique grenade machine gun is THE most difficult weapon to obtain in the game. First, it's in a rather obscure location, it's located in Dead Wind Cavern, and no one would think to look in there. Second, the place is friggin SWARMING with Deathclaw (normal, couple of alpha males and mother) and the absolute most powerful enemy in the game, "The Legendary DeathClaw". Make sure you KNOW what your doing, before entering, or it'll result in an untimely death. Mercy is located at the end of Dead Wind Cavern, next to a dead Brother of Steel member. It's in the same room as the Legendary Deathclaw. If you have Holy Frag Grenades, use them; these things will usually result in a one hit kill, WITH power armor.

The Mysterious Magnum: This unique weapon can obtained when you are doing a quest to bring in fresh talent for The Tops. One of the fresh talents is located east of the HELIOS Solar Power Plant near a roadside billboard next to the interstate road. If you can successfully recruit him and ask for a reward, he give you his dad's weapon, the Mysterious Magnum. Every time you draw out that weapon, you sound like you are the Mysterious Stranger, which we may now confirm the relationship.

Oh, Baby!: Oh Baby! is a Unique Super Sledge located in Charleston's Cave, located North East of Jacobson Town, just behind the gate, up the hills. Don't go to far, just around the town gate. The over powered weapon is on the ground next to the dead nightkin. The location is part of a quest, so activate it by talking to Doctor Henry. The place has some night stalkers in it, but they shouldn't give you much trouble. If you have the Wild Wasteland Trait on, there may be dead big horner corpses as well, it's easy to miss, but if you do, it could be under one of the big horner bodies, it helps to have Rex to help you spot it. If it is, just try to move the corpse, if that doesn't work, blow up the corpse using anything, guns, melee -- don't use explosives as that might send Oh, baby! flying somewhere and you can't find it.

Paladin Toaster: This is a special power fist that is found in Black Rock Cavern northwest of HELIOS One. You have to kill a few nightkin, and the toaster will be found on the corpse of a prospecter. This glove is pretty much an EMP punch that can kill at any unarmed skill level.

Pew Pew: Pew Pew is a insanely powerful laser pistol and can be found on the body of Allen Marks. To get to Allen Marks you must complete the quest, "The Legend of the Star" to do this, you must collect 50 Sunset Sarsaparilla blue star bottle caps and turn them in to Festus, the goofy broken cowboy guy directly left when you enter the Sunset Sarsaparilla headquarters. Pew Pew may be powerful, but there is a downside. This beast of a gun eats up 15 energy cells per shot. You may say, "I have a lot of cells, it won't be a problem." Yes there will be, you will be reloading often which makes firefights tough.

Pushy: Pushy is a unique Displacer Glove that can be found in the Ruby Hill Mine, which is on the trail near Jacobson Town. You will find Pushy on the body of a dead Jackal member Near a giant pool of water. The mine is crawling with swamplurks, but they aren't too tough.

Q-38 Matter Modulator: Head to the REPCONN Headquarters (North of REPCONN Facility and Novac). This unique Plasma Rifle (and item that Marvin the Martian always looked for in Looney Tunes) is found on the first floor. The easiest way to obtain this weapon is to make your way to the 3rd floor and find (beside the pile of rubble the B.O.S. patrol is under) the suitcase a skeleton is holding. Open it and remove the security key. Go to the second floor and find its corresponding door to enter a room with a hole in the floor to find the rifle in the corner in a strange container.

Ranger Sequoia: This is a super-powerful 45-70 revolver. It can be found on NCR Ranger Chief Hanlon at Camp Golf. It's easiest to obtain during Return to Sender in Camp Forlorn Hope (NCR). When you confront Hanlon, choose to turn him in and he will accept. Afterwards he gives a speech and promptly commits suicide in his office on the first floor. Open the office and pick up the super-powered revolver for yourself. Note: You will lose a little Karma because you have to steal it even though he is dead -- it is lying on the floor. It does well over 100 damage when guns maxed out.

The Rat Slayer: In Freeside, go to The Atomic Wrangler Bar and talk to the female bartender. Ask about getting a room, but instead of paying the 10 caps, ask if you could work out a deal. She will give you a quest in which you have to collect the debt of 3 people throughout Freeside. One the them is named Lady Jane and can be found by the entrance to New Vegas in the day. When you question her about her debt she will say she doesn't have the money, but a carvan of her's in a place called Broc Flower Cave does. If your Speech/Barter is high enough you can convince her to cough the money up, but for the sake of the weapon you will want to go to the cave. She will warn you about the Rodents of Unusual Size (A Princess Bride refrence). Once you arrive at the cave go down the path to the right. A dead Brahmin on the left of the irradiated dead end has the money. To the right is a semi-hidden passageway upward to to 2 or 3 R.O.U.Ses and a stockpile of supplies including The Rat Slayer, an unique Varmint Rifle.

Recompance Of The Fallen: Recompance Of The Fallen is a unique weapon found in Cottonwood Cove. It is a pair of brass-knuckles/spike knuckles made of Dog-Tags. It can be found in the desk of the top floor of Aurelius de Phoenix's office building just inside Cottonwood Cove. It has high damage and diminishes slowly in condition.

Tesla Beaton Prototype Weapon: This weapon is found at the site of the crashed Vertibird. It can be repaired for 11,000 to 12,000 caps and will do up to 108 damage. When trying to get to the weapon, be wary of the hardened Mister Gutsys and hardened Sentrybots.

That Gun: That Gun can be found at Novac gift shop on a metal crate. Buy the storage key and you can steal it. Submitted by Humanoid97.

This Machine: This Machine is a unique rifle that uses .308 ammo. You can get this weapon at Camp McCarran by talking to Col.James Hsu about things going on around the base. Next talk to Lt. Carrie Boyd and help her find some missing supplies. She'll point you in the direction of Sergeant Contreras who is in the supply shack in back of McCarran. Hack his computer and report back to Boyd. She'll give you this weapon.

Thump Thump: At Nelson, after you get into the base, help the leader with the ant problem. Once your down there, look for two generators. Don't go to them, but go right to the other side to find a skeleton with the Thump Thump and around 20 or 30 rounds.

Vance's Gun: From the ransacked caravan near the north of the map, head south and follow the road. On your right there will be a shack called The Wins Hideout, head inside and talk to the Vickie and Vance wannabees if you wish -- you will need to kill them in order to open their safe (and have a lockpick skill of 100). Inside is Vance's 9mm Sub Machine Gun. You can also steal Vance's Lucky Hat and Vickie's Bonet from the corpses.

YCS/186: The YCS/186 is a unique Gauss rifle and can easily be obtained by killing a group of mercenaries northeast of Jacobson Town and north of the ransacked caravan on the road to Jacobson Town. If you know where the aliens are, the mercenaries are nearby. There is a catch though: You must NOT take the Wild Wasteland Trait in the beginning of the game, if you do, they will be replaced by aliens.

Don't Get Caught Stealing

1.You have to be somewhere where there is a spot out of the line of sight of all the surounding NPC's.

2.Figure out a good spot to hide in and save your game.

3.Click the right stick while you have selected the item you want to steal, but do not press the A button to steal it.

4.This will allow you to safely carry the item to your designated hiding spot.

5.Now crouch and when it says [HIDDEN] you can steal it without losing reputation, or having an NPC attack you.

You may lose karma so try it once to make sure you won't have an undesired karma effect. A great place for this trick would be the Van Graff energy weapon shop.You can do this with any of the items on the counter and there is a hiding spot on the back side of the room.Enjoy!

Finding Fallout 3's Wasteland Survival Guide

If you've played Fallout3 and you know about Moira Brown's "Wasteland survival guide" than you know what this is. What you do is travel to Lone Wolf Radio,then go in the camper and right next to a bed you will find it. The Wild Wasteland perk is required to find it and the guide gives you a perminent survival skill boost of 3 points.

Fun with Fisto the Sexbot

In Fallout 3 there was a upgraded power fist called "Fisto!" Fisto makes a return in Fallout: New Vegas as a sexbot that you must find for the quest "Wang Dang Automatic Tango." In the quest, you find Fisto in cerulean robotics. Once you release him from his tube, he gives you the option to test him out.

After completing the side quest to find a sex robot for the silver rush Fisto will make his way to the Silver Rush Casino. Inside next to the roulette table when you speak to him he'll offer his services but if you reply "No thanks" it will give you ten caps. This can provide an unlimited supply of caps if you're willing to activate the chat over and over again.

If you head south on the road out of Goodsprings (about 100 yds) you will come across a refrigerator at the base of a hill with a skeleton inside. On the skeletons head? A fedora. This is a reference to the latest (lamest?) Indiana Jones movie The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

3) Create a front runner where none exists! Pole vaulting zombies run fast until they vault over a nut, and the newspaper zombie runs fast after getting the paper destroyed by a nut. Just let them run a little bit down the lawn before sending a nut their way.

4) Just because you have nuts does not mean you have to use them. This is where "Nerves of Steel" comes into play. When there are a few zombies ambling down the lawn without a clear ricochet shot, wait a little bit to see if more of their friends will step out to play. They can always be killed once they cross the red line.

5) Remember how many nuts it takes to kill a zombie; this is important when the cross the red line. Use one nut for regular zombies, three for bucket wearing zombies, and two for the rest.

6) Reserve the exploding nuts. Try not to use those nuts unless a mob crosses the line, or there are not enough nuts or room to clear out a hard to kill zombie. Use the regular walnuts for the zombies that have not reached the red line.

7) Don't use exploding nuts to kill pole vaulting zombies directly. Pole vaulting zombies only jump obstacles in their own lane. A pole vaulting zombie who has not vaulted yet will safely jump over explosions or nuts in their own lane; so find a neighbor in the next lane and time the nut to hit when the pole vaulting zombie gets close to the neighbor.

Hint - Non-N00b Hint That's Kinda Long And Detailed

At the Pro level, you can do "170 mph in heavy traffic" located just north-east of Diamondhead. Its not hard to obtain $71,000 to acquire a Corvette Z06 Coupe in which you can complete this in less than 25 seconds.

Hit GREEN, then YELLOW to restart and you're off again. Get good at this and you will make about $30,000 a minute... the car will pay for itself in no time and you can tune it to reduce the time to 170 mph and make your money faster.

You could also invest the money into a Saleen S7 and get that money in under 15 seconds and then your income will double.

When you reach the Champion level, you can do "180 mph in heavy traffic" and make that $70,000 in around 20 seconds or less. You just have to do a quick 180 degree turn at the start and go the other way. You'll thank me for that hint.

Hint - NOOB Cash #4

If you are a champion and own at Ford GT with a level 3 tune-up, you can enter the Ford "Ford day" Race to the left of the Honolulu Airport.

The Race gives you $75'000 every time you win, and the race only takes about a minute. So just restart every time you cross the finishline, and in about 10 minutes will have made $750'000.

Hint - N00B Cash #3

In the bottom right hand section of the island is a race called "170mph in heavy traffic". You can do this race over and over and get $15,000 every time.

When you become a champion, there is another race called "180mph in heavy traffic" in the middle of the map; the reward is $70,000 and again you can do this as many times as you want.

If you're driving a stage 3 Enzo, this race takes about 15 seconds, which means you'll have $1 million in about 10 minutes, so dont waste your time doing the millionaire's challenge anymore.

Hint - Who Wants To Exploit A Millionaire?

When you reach Expert level a new timed race will show up called "The Millionaires Challenge" which is a $1,000,000 race... The best way to win this race is to buy a MV Agusta motorcycle, and upgrade it to level 3. Then you can race the race with only a type "A" car, or motorcycle. You can do the race as many times that you wish. I earn about $30,000,000 a day on there, and now have around $150,000,000 and 12 houses with 56 cars. It is a 60 minute race and I finish it in about 49 minutes... So have fun making a lot of money!

Hint - Key Location Detection

Even if you didn't unlock things yet, you can zoom into the map as far as it will go and look for black squares. Places such as clothing shops, vehicle showfloors, and many other places show up as a black square. Just set your marker and go check it out!

Hint - N00b Cash #2

There is a challenge at the South East corner of the island, which requires you to top 140 miles per hour on a winding road.

When the challenge starts, simply spin the car round (after making sure you pass the start line), and head to the road behind you. There's no finish line, so by turning left or right you're on a nice straight road where you can hit 140 in about 10 to 15 seconds, then just hit the A button to finish.

You make $10k for doing this, in less than 30 seconds, then can simply repeat to make some quick easy cash!

Hint - N00Bs Starting Cash

The easiest way to make money early in the game are the "Delivery Missions". Most of the early ones start out at $80,000. And if you can deliver the car in perfect condition you get a big bonus. Plus there is no time limit on these missions so you can take as long as you want to get from point A to point B. I made enough money from 6 - 8 delivery missions to buy a second house and 4 more cars and I still have around $200,000 to play with.

The added benefit to these missions is to force you to drive more and learn the various qualities of each road and track on the island. Experience with the game is no substitute for a huge bank balance!

Hint - Median Exploitation

If you have 2 long roads beside each other, with a thin grass median in between the roads, you can use the instant challenges, and the computer player will follow the road, while you can just drive over the grass and finish in about 10 seconds.

Access Used Cheats Easily

Almost always, when you enter a cheat into your cell phone, you can access it automatically from the phone's main menu ("Cheats"), so you don't have to enter these obscure phone numbers more than once.

Easy Money

Head to an ATM anywhere in the city, and cause a traffic jam in the area. Wait for someone to approach the ATM and take money out of it, and then eliminate that person. The traffic jam should ensure that no ambulance can reach the injured person, so if you run a short distance away and return, you can grab the money that dead person dropped over and over again.

Free Taxi Rides

Here's a great way to get a free taxi fare. Hail a taxi and get inside, and head to your destination. Right before you get to your destination, bust out the back window and point your gun out of the window (using the corresponding controls). Doing so will freak the taxi driver out. He'll stop the car and run away, leaving you near your destination without forcing you to pay for the ride.

Friendship Perks

To unlock the perks of friendship with any given person below, reach the friendship level listed.

Brucie - Brucie likes to bowl, drink, eat, go to strip clubs, shows, helirides and boating. If you get his friendship level up to 70%, you can call Brucie and he'll dispatch a helicopter to your location, allowing you to utilize it as you'd like.

Dwayne - Dwayne likes to go to strip clubs, eat, drink, go to shows and bowl. If you get his friendship level up to 60%, you can call Dwayne and he'll send you a car full of gang members that will follow you and help you out as you need them.

Little Jacob - Little Jacob likes to play darts, go to shows, play billiards, drink, eat, and go to strip clubs. If you get his friendship level up to 70%, you can call Little Jacob and he'll drive a car to your location full of guns that you can purchase from him.

Packie - Packie likes to go to strip clubs and shows, play darts, drink, bowl and play billiards. If you get his friendship level up to 75%, you can call Packie and he'll make you a potent car bomb that you can use as you need it.

Long-Lasting Fire Truck

Fire trucks are awesome vehicles to use to cause complete and utter destruction in Liberty City. But, even these vehicles are susceptible to damage. Oddly, if the fire truck catches on fire and is about to explode, you can actually utilize the fire truck's very own water source to put its own fire out. Nice!

Losing the Cops

No matter the extent of your wanted level, if you can make it back to one of your safe houses and go to your bed to save, the cops will be automatically called off. You don’t even have to actually save – you can just access the save menu and then cancel out. Here's something funny to try. During your adventure through Liberty City, you may find phone numbers written in inconspicuous places, such as on the side of a building or in the subway. If you dial these numbers, you'll usually get someone on the other end who you can subsequently prank.

Statue of Happiness

Head to the Statue of Happiness on Happiness Island via helicopter. Have the helicopter drop you off on the very top of the statue. You'll find a sign up there that states "No Hidden Content Beyond This Point", but it's a lie. If you head inside of the statue from this area, you'll find an actual beating heart inside the statue. How ridiculously creepy!

Skulls

Skulls aren't collected in Halo: Reach, but you can turn them on before starting a campaign session for the following effects.

Primary Skulls

Iron Skull - Co-Op reverts to previous checkpoint on player death. Single player death restarts entire mission. (Restart at checkpoints with all of your weapons and ammo in co-op, but you'll restart the mission on single player)
Black Eye Skull - Shields don’t recharge except from melee attacking enemies. (Your shield won't recharge unless you perform a melee)
Tough Luck Skull - Enemies always make every saving throw, always berserk, always dive, never flee. (Every enemy will dodge slower attacks, like needles and grenades. Grunts will suicide attack and Brutes will charge)
Catch Skull - Enemies are grenade happy -- 2x as often and 2x as fast. (Lots of grenades)
Cloud Skull - Motion sensor disabled with this setting. (No "radar")
Famine Skull - Weapons drop 50% less ammo. (Less ammo from picked up weapons)
Thunderstorm Skull - Major upgrade to all enemies. (All enemies have more life)
Tilt Skull - Damage tables are modified. (Enemy weaknesses and strengths are increased -- Elite shields are susceptible to nothing but Plasma Pistols)
Mythic Skull - Double enemy health. (More health for all enemies)

Secondary Skulls

Blind Skull - HUD and first person arms and weapon are hidden. (Clears the screen but won't affect gameplay)
Cowbell Skull - Acceleration scale from explosions is 3x. (Things fly further)
Grunt Birthday Skull - Grunts explode as if they were plasma grenades when they are killed with a headshot. (More explosions = more fun)
IWHBYD Skull - Common combat dialog becomes less common, and vice versa. (Hear rare dialog from computer-controlled players)

Achievement Hint: Easy Custom Firefight Achievements

To make certain Achievements very, very easy, set up a Firefight match with the exact settings below.

Set your Mission (Map) to Beachhead (you can do this anywhere but we found Beachhead to be the easiest to hit large packs of enemies)

Set your Difficulty to Legendary (for a score multiplier)

Under Game Options, choose Firefight Settings and Wave Properties and change these settings for Round 1, 2 AND 3 Round Properties. You have to change the settings for EACH ROUND.

Turn on these skulls: Mythic, Catch, Tough Luck, Famine, Tilt, Black Eye, Grunt Birthday, Cowbell, IWHBYD. These skulls will increase your multiplier. Note: You can turn on Cloud if you want, but having radar helps you anticipate enemy drops and score more points.
Now, for each Wave, Initial, Main and Boss, change these settings:
Uses Dropship: Enabled (You will be able to hit clumps of enemies dropping from Phantoms for high scores)
Squad Selection Order: Ordered
All Squads 1-5: Elites (Elites are worth more points than Grunts and you can kill them in one missile hit, unlike Brutes)

After adjusting the settings and Skulls for ALL 3 ROUNDS, enter the Bonus Wave settings and make these changes.

Bonus Wave Duration: 2 Minutes
Uses Dropship: Enabled
Turn on these skulls: Mythic, Catch, Tough Luck, Famine, Cloud, Tilt, Black Eye, Grunt Birthday, Cowbell, IWHBYD.
Squad Selection Order: Random
All Squads: Elites

Back out of the Wave Properties menu and make these settings in the Game Options/Firefight Settings menu.

Wave Limit: No Limit
Turn Count: No Turns
Time Limit: No Limit

Enter the Generator Properties menu and make the following changes.

Generator Count: Disabled
Spawn Order: Sequence
Loss Condition: Lose All

Enter the Scenario Settings Menu and make the following changes.

Hazards: Disabled
Weapon Drops: Enabled
Ammo Crates: Enabled

You do not need to adjust the Custom Skull Settings. Back out to the Game Options Menu and choose Spartan Settings. Ignore the options here -- they won't matter -- and choose the Base Traits Menu.

Choose Shields and Health and makes the following changes:
Damage Resistance: Invulnerable
Immune to Headshots: Enabled
Immune to Assassination: Enabled (This is important -- even if you are invulnerable you can still be killed unless you enable this option)

Back out to the Spartan Settings / Base Traits Menu and choose Weapons and Damage and make the following changes.

Damage Modifier: 300%
Melee Modifier: 300%
Primary Weapon: Rocket Launcher
Secondary Weapon: DMR
Starting Equipment: Jet Pack
Infinite Ammo: Bottomless Clip (Crucial: No reloading!)
Equipment Usage: Unlimited

Back out to the Spartan Settings / Base Traits Menu and choose Movement and make the following changes.

Player Speed: 200% (You may go higher but it gets a bit difficult to control)

Back out to the Spartan Settings / Base Traits Menu and choose Sensors and make the following changes.

Motion Tracker Mode: Enhanced Mode
Motion Tracker Range: 150 Meters (This will allow you to spot dropships from afar)

Back out to the Spartan Settings Menu and choose Loadouts and make the following changes:

For Loadouts 1-6, change Hide Loadout to Hidden (this will ensure that you have the Rocket Launcher you set for your primary weapon above for the entire match)

Back out to the Firefight Menu -- you can ignore the Elite Settings and General Settings menus.

Now, begin your game.

Heat in the Pipe:

Since you are invulnerable and your rocket launcher will take out Elites in one hit, this just takes time. Your ultimate goal is to just hit clumps of Elites for high scores. After playing for a bit you'll learn the locations of Elite drops. Watch for the drop near the center of the map on the cement platform -- 8 Elites drop here at once! It took about 30 minutes and 750 kills for us to get 1,000,000 points.

Game Set Match:

Invulnerability helps with this a bit! Basically, kill every enemy in every round and wave until the rounds start over. This takes about 30 minutes. With the ultimate settings outlined above, you won't have any trouble with this -- but you'll have to have some patience!

Crowd Control:

The Killionaire medal can be won be killing 10 enemies within 4 seconds of each other. The easiest time to get this is during the Bonus round, where dozens of Elites will swarm around you. Just aim for the Elites -- or your feet -- and send rocket after rocket at them. Kill ten quickly and you'll get the Achievement.

With your jetpack set to run infinitely, you should have no problem sending missiles at clumps of Elites. They usually exit the Dropships in packs of four, so watch for that.

Easy, Hands-Off Credits

Cheat: Free (Slow) Credit Farming

Begin Firefight Mode and enter the Game Options Menu and choose Spartan Settings. Choose the Base Traits Menu. Choose Shields and Health and makes the following changes:

Damage Resistance: Invulnerable

Set the difficulty to Legendary and begin a match. Stand near enemies and let them attack you. You'll rack up Credits to spend on equipment without lifting a finger! You should get credits about 10 Credits per minute -- sometimes more. It is unclear how Credits are earned. Set your controller down and go to school or something, jeez.

(Beta) Unlockable: Halo: Reach Avatar Hoodie

Anyone who logs in and plays at least one full game of any type in the Halo: Reach Multiplayer Beta will receive a Halo: Reach Avatar hoodie via the Halo Waypoint portal on Xbox LIVE. Players must access Halo Waypoint and browse their "Halo" Career statistics after completing a match.

Credit Farming Made Extremely Easy

While there are many ways to earn Credits, or Credits, in Halo: Reach, this is the easiest strategy we've discovered so far. Choose the Mission Start ONI: Sword Base and turn on the "Free For All" option under scoring options. You can set any Skulls you want but you probably want your difficulty to be Normal -- it's hard to do this on Legendary. Basically, you want to skip the first fight entirely. Run up the ramp to the west and jump onto the little wall to the north that wraps around to the road leading south. Sprint to the gate and grab the Target Locator from the suitcase along the western wall. Next, you'll want to set a Checkpoint -- this matters quite a bit, so don't ignore this step. Move to the south end of the gate and aim your locator north as the enemies approach. As you tool around by the closed southern door, you should get a Checkpoint. Now, aim the Target Locator at the street to the north and pull the trigger. Try to catch as many enemies as possible in your blast. This will earn you Credits -- probably about 100, based on your Commendations and Medals from the blast. Now, revert to the last Checkpoint and repeat the Target Locator blast infinitely. You get Credits for earning Medals Commendations, so the exact amount will vary for each blast depending on your Commendation progress. You should be able to work towards Commendations like Leadership Element and Splash Damage, while also gaining a set number of Credits for the Medals you win in each Target Locator strike. Using this method you can safely rack up Credits at the rate of several thousand each few minutes!

Halo: Reach Ranks

Earning Credits is the only way to increase your rank in Halo: Reach, but there are many, many ways to do this. One of the most reliable ways to earn Credits is to just play online matchmaking games as much as possible. You will be awarded for all sorts of things in matchmaking, from kills to medals. Another great way to earn Credits is to complete daily and weekly challenges. You'll can even see how many Credits you'll earn for each in the challenge menu. Finally, commendations are another great way to earn Credits and rank up. Check out your commendations menu and work towards the goals in all your campaign and matchmaking sessions. Earning a silver rank lands you a few thousand Credits!

Hands-Off Fast Forward in Theater Mode

Annoyingly, fast-forwarding your replays can be slow and hard on your trigger finger. To make getting to the end of an hour long film easier, hold RIGHT TRIGGER, press START and then let go of the RIGHT TRIGGER and press START again. Your game will fast-forward automatically until you pause it or hit the trigger again. Smoothie time!

Easier Achievement -- If They Came to Hear Me Beg

For the achievement where you need to "perform an assassination against an Elite to survive a fall that would've been fatal," here are some things to keep in mind.

The single thing I've noticed from all the videos of people making it, including my own, is that you actually [b]make contact with your beat-down at the exact frame you hit the ground[/b]. When I got it, I actually took fall damage and dropped to five bars of health, and I also pretty much dropped on top of the Elite and slid down his back.

It's much easier just using a jetpack while you are defending the door to the Research Facility. Elites love to stand still on easier modes, just firing at your squad, jet pack up high, land on dumb elite target. Best part is that you can jet pack to save yourself if your target moves and try again in the next few seconds.

Lower Your Weapon

Note: This can only be done offline. This works on any button layout, not just the default settings. Lower your weapon by by holding down "Grenade Switch" + "Reload" + Click the Right Stick + Down on the D-Pad. That would be B + X + CLICK RIGHT STICK + DOWN (D-Pad) on the default controls.

Jack a Wraith

This is a tough maneuver and you should be packing a Plasma Pistol before attempting it and some sort of scoped weapon -- and a Sprint armor ability if possible. First, find some cover near the Wraith and use a scoped weapon to eliminate the gunner behind the Wraith's turret. Now, shoot the Wraith with a charged Plasma Pistol shot and approach it as it becomes temporarily disabled. You may want to use Sprint to do this! Jump onto the front of the downed tank and you will see the turret area open. Press X when you see the prompt to operate the turret. As you take over the turret, the Elite piloting the Wraith will hop out. Shoot him and the Wraith is yours! Exit the turret and jump onto the top of the Wraith and enter the pilot's seat.

Data Pad Locations

Below is a quick-reference list for all of the Data Pads in Halo: Reach. Pictures, videos and more for the Data Pads are on the way!

Datapads are not collectibles, but read-able iPads/Kindles that shed light about the Halo universe.

Winter Contingency. Any difficulty. After driving across the first river, stay right and you will approach a group of buildings with Convenant in them. The datapad is hidden amongst those structures.

Winter Contingency (Legendary). Found only on Legendary difficulty. At the very start of the level, a cloaked Covenant Elite will run, from left to right, across your field of fire. To intercept the enemy, you need to move quickly downhill and shoot/kill the enemy before it flees the field. You can restart the mission if you miss it.

ONI Sword Base. Any difficulty. This pad is inside Sword Base, near the end of the level. Go into the big room with the walkways connecting its opposite sides. The pad is under the stairs on the third level.

ONI Sword Base (Legendary). Found only on Legendary difficulty. You head up a multi-tiered base (or tower) next to a comms antennae (this is outside). At the top of the base, go over the railing facing the surrounding cliffs; jump across a broken bridge between the base and rocky surroundings (it's at the top of the ramp to the top level), and explore the rocky plateau beyond for this datapad.

Nightfall. Any difficulty. At the start of the level, in the cave to your right.

Nightfall (Legendary). Found only on Legendary difficulty. After you regroup with the troops, head for the riverbed and follow the green beacon/lights; make a count. At the 5th beacon, get on top of the rock ledge above you, and follow the cliffside path (hop across the river to the other side). You cross back over a low stone overpass; continue following the cliffside trail back (upriver) after the overpass and you will locate the pad.

Tip of the Spear. Any difficulty. This pad is located after your first encounter the Zealot. Drop in the ruined facility and navigate a path to the room adjacent to the one you dropped into (before heading back outside). The pad is in there.

Tip of the Spear (Legendary). Found only on Legendary difficulty. You may want to take a vehicle along, to serve as a jump-pad (like the deployable shield in Halo 3). Locate the second Covenant anti-air gun emplacement and locate the drop off where the bridge was. Use your vehicle to get onto the broken bridge supports, and jump to the bridge section with the datapad.

Long Night of Solace. Any difficulty. This pad is found just before you lift off the planet. When you go into the launch facility, go to the room with the holo-display. Check behind the consoles for this item.

Long Night of Solace (Legendary). Found only on Legendary difficulty. This pad is found before entering the Saber. As you approach the ship, go up one flight of stairs, then turn left and jump to the nearby ledge. From that ledge, get to the next ledge up using a "grenade jump" (timing a jump so a grenade explosion boosts the height of your jump) or use a nearby environmental element to increase your jump height. The pad is at the second platform.

Exodus. Any difficulty. After meeting the soldiers with the jetpacks, jump across the broken gap and engage the enemies. There will be a green arrow sign (on a support pillar). Past this sign, immediately jumpjet yourself to the upper gantry to locate this pad.

Exodus (Legendary). Found only on Legendary difficulty. You will need a jetpack (like before). The pad is in the section of the stage just before Rally Point B, and after the large gap. Take out all enemies in the area (so no one kills you) and go to the area just before the painted "New Alexandria" sign on the building. There are two "vent" things high up on the face of the building; the pad is on the right vent. Use the jetpack to assist your jumps on the crossbeams on the building's side to reach yoru destination.

New Alexandria. Any difficulty. At the start of the level, fly your vehicle towards the red glow in the horizon and locate a shark-finned skyscraper with lateral black bands (windows) on its spine. The pad is on the roof of this building.

New Alexandria (Legendary). Found only on Legendary difficulty. The pad is located "behind" the starting point of the mission. Fly the vehicle to the building directly opposite the landing pad, and descend into the fog. The pad is on a fairly low ledge on the building's side.

The Package. Any difficulty. This item is found right before you trigger the elevator cut-scene that takes you to the excavation site. Stand directly before the green panel in the room with the lift, turn around 180° and look down to see what you were looking for.

The Package (Legendary). Found only on Legendary difficulty. The pad is in the area where you defend the scientist's lab, and you need a jet-pack (for the easiest time). Locate the bridge you need to cross to get to the lab, and jumpjet across the chasm to the left of the broken bridge. Go around corner of the base of the fortification/wall (it will be on your right) and you can find this pad.

Pillar of Autumn. Any difficulty. Just after "rally point A", you will be near a glass window in a long hallway. The pad is past the window.

Pillar of Autumn (Legendary). Found only on Legendary difficulty. Go across a work bridge to the "Sinoviet"; cross over and locate the pad on the building's roof (it's in a corner to the right of the bridgehead).

Lone Wolf (Legendary). Found only on Legendary difficulty. Let the credits finish, and you will be fighting in a sequence where your shields do not regenerate. This pad is found inside an elevated pipe near the a sniper rifle on a platform. Note that while reading this log entry, enemies can shoot (and kill) you.

Jun's Secret Message

If you play through any mission with Jun with you he may say "What, you don't like my cooking?" But if you play with subtitles and watch the opening cutscene for Tip of the Spear he will say "Time to bake that cake we made last night." It is odd. This may only work if you have the IWHBYD Skull on.

The Face on the Halo Returns

On Forgeworld (doesn't matter which map), walk out to the edge of the hangar and use your weapon to zoom in on the background where you see Halo making its huge loop around. At the base of the ring, you will see the face of Chris Carney among the clouds of the Halo. This can be seen in Halo 2 as well.

Fly a Pelican or Covenant Drop Ship

Note: You'll need a second cooperative player for this Easter egg. On New Alexandria, complete at least 3 objectives from the mission and you should be directed to the ONI building. A secret switch will now be available in the level. At this point, head back to Club Errera with the glowing red neon facade. If you are looking directly at the club from the front landing pad, the switch you need to hit is located on the building directly to the west (left).

Move to the northwest corner of the building at an altitude of about 850 ft. there is a nook here. Look on the underside of the overhang -- the "ceiling" -- in the nook and you should find a little green switch. The easiest way to hit this switch is to have one player stand on top of the aircraft while it hovers under the switch.

Once this switch is activated, fly directly south and through the large building with the giant, oblong gap near its apex. It is one of the taller buildings in that direction.

Fly through the gap in the building and your falcon will suddenly turn into a Pelican. If you are flying a Banshee (you'll need to sky jack it elsewhere in the level), you will turn into a covey dropship.

Wolf Picture

If you go into the armory and you angle the camera correctly you can see in the reflection of the helmet a picture of a wolf (easiest helmet to see the reflection is with the EVA helmet with the silver visor on).

Countdown Chatter

When playing on the map countdown in multiplayer go to the ramp between the two energy shafts were the Energy Sword is. Face towards the rest of the map and then head towards your right. After exiting the room with the energy shaft head towards the corner to your right -- basically, walk across the bridge to the east past the sword. If you stand there for a little bit you should start to hear radio transmissions which include ones between control and a commander of a squadron who reminds control his men aren't Spartans. The radio can be seen in the eastern corner.

Elite Rangers, Golden Elites

The "Golden Elites" or Elite Rangers (all named "Bob") are Elites with yellow armor and blue helmet visors. They appear in some levels and then quickly vanish into thin air if you don't kill them. It is unknown how difficulty level effects their appearances. You will get a medal for killing these called "Seek and Destroy." Nothing else is known about them. Here are some of the locations where you'll find these strange fellows:

Winter Contingency: On the Campaign level Winter Contingency, quickly make your way through the level and you will randomly encounter the "Elite Ranger". His armor is bright yellow and his helmet has a blue visor that shields his entire face. (He appears on both Legendary and Normal difficulty, but he seems to show up in different areas). Usually he appears during the part of the mission where you're driving Carter and Jorge around looking for the stranded marines. Kill him and you'll be rewarded with a special medal in your medal chest on Bungie.net. He will show up in your statistics as one of the types of enemies you've killed. In the stats section, it lists him as an Elite Ranger, and actually says his name is "Bob". -- Shamrock20

Nightfall: In the area where you meet up with the colonists fighting a pack of Covenant, this Elite appears -- and quickly dissapears -- amongst the buildings.

Tip of the Spear: On normal difficulty, when you arive at the Spire area with Jorge the Gold Ranger Elite (aka "Bob") will suddenly appear at the first "Bravo" capture point, in the game type Invasion, which would be on the left hand side of the multiplayer map: The Spire.

The Package: On the Package, once you enter the gate to Oni Sword Base (Rally Point Alpha), quickly head up the ramp and look to the left to spot the Elite. It's in the courtyard area where you meet up with Noble Team before heading into Sword Base.

The Pillar of Autumn: After the Bugger cave you'll come across two massive buildings in a valley. The second building you come to -- the one with both Data Pads -- has a a garage at one end (to the right when facing it). Inside the garage you'll find this Elite.

The Free Banshee Buttons on the Package

There are two switches that can be activated by two different players at the beginning of The Package -- this Easter Egg is different from the two panels that open Dr. Halsey's lab at the end of the level. You can do this on Normal; no need to start a Legendary game. Before you begin your switch hunting, eliminate all the enemies in the first area. Try to grab a Ghost as well. At the southern end of the lake is a shack. On the north side of the shack, look for a large crate against the wall. Use the Ghost or a melee attack to move this crate.

One person should stay right here. The other person should continue south and get in the Scorpion tank. Use it to destroy the sniper roosts and the turrets just to the south. Now, walk off the edge of the short cliff due south of where you picked up the Scorpion. Turn east and look for a glowing green panel on the cliff side where its meets the water. As soon as you hit this switch, a second switch will appear only very briefly on the wall in the lake, so coordinate this with your partner. When the second switch is activated in the lake, four Banshees will appear on the roof of the nearby building to the north.

Climb up and hop into a Banshee. You can freely explore the massive level, even the dogfight to the south. If you take out the AA cannons BEFORE you hit the switches (the AA guns seem to become invincible if you get the Banshees first) with the Scorpion, you can fly the Banshees through Sword Base's entrance gate and explore even more of the level.

You can even land on the mountains all around the area and get out without dying. Enjoy!

Access Dr. Halsey's Office

You'll need two players for this and you MUST play on Legendary. Skip to Rally Point Bravo on The Package. Play the level until Dr. Halsey announces her lab is open. Do not enter the lab or access the panel on the door to end the mission. If you don't have a Jet Pack, grab one from the northern side of the lab entrance area. They are on the wall without any flashy Armor Ability holograms so they are a bit hard to spot.

One player must stay in a safe spot while the other accesses a secret panel. Fly to the far eastern line of buildings. Run up the ramp and turn left, or north. A fenced off area on the upper level lines the out-of-bounds region to the northeast. Drop off the northeastern corner and ease your way towards the rocky out-of-bounds area below but do not touch it! Hover above it and look for a panel with a green light you can access on a girder. Hit X to activate it.

This will open a door on the north side of the Halsey's lab entrance. A half dozen Elites will stream out of here with Energy Swords. Fly over them or run a Ghost through them and enter the open door. You will then be transported to a hallway. Follow the hallway to the lab area where you can view a number of Easter Eggs, from readable data panels with inside jokes to old Halo art. Enjoy!

Reach Racer

On Mission 03, Oni: Sword Base, there are two hidden switches, marked as "doors" that you can open only with two players in a co-op match. Both switches can be found after Rally Point Alpha, where you must destroy the Wraiths. Switch A is found on the coast of the water just southeast of the buildings with a pair switches you must activate. It's on a pile of rocks near the frozen waterfall. You'll know you are standing in the right place when you get a message saying "Hold X to Open Door." Note: You must reload your weapon before getting this. Switch B is just past the AA cannon in the next area. A pile of rocks with some trees on it overlooks the vast, walled complex on the ice below the area. With both people standing in these places, press X simultaneously and a message will appear on screen saying "REACH RACER." You will then be warped to the Oni: Sword Base with two Gauss Cannon Wart Hogs ready for racing. You can race your friend through a course marked by red waypoints (you don't need to touch the waypoints, you just need to cruise past them). At the end of the race, the loser's Wart Hog explodes and you'll both be warped back to race anew.

Change Club Errera's Music and Brute Dance Party

In Mission 7, you can change the music to the tracks "Never Surrender" and "Siege of Madrigal" in Club Errera. During Mission 7, once you get to the Club Errera part of the mission, head back to the hospital. Fly to a ledge below the usual entrance. If you chose the right one, when you get out you should see a green light. Once found, activate it and go back to Club Errera. Land and when you walk in the song "Never Surrender" will be playing. If you want to change the music again, go back to your Falcon and fly to the roof of Club Errera. Guess what, there's another switch. Activate it and the song "Siege of Madrigal" will now be playing.

If you return to the dance club after you clear it out (Hunters included) then a Brute DJ will be spinning records, a Brute tends the bar and Grunts get freaky.

Unlimited Gold and Experience

An easy way to get Experience witout doing grinding is to turn off 'Show Movements' and 'Show Effects' at the 'Settings' menu. When you have done this press 'Select' to turn on 'Auto Battle'. You can then select a battle slightly further back in the story line and let the AI do your grinding for you. The AI is competent in using group attacks and healing as long as it is not too much of a challenge. The AI will Overkill often which provides bullions which can be converted at the blacksmith and sold for a lot of gold.

Unlockable Characters

To unlock secret characters, you need to complete the game and play through 'Generations' levels from the first game. Follow the instructions below for the full details:

To get First Generation Heroines, as well as Leonhardt and Ellis: Complete the first level in Trizon Fortress, as well as First Generation Lucrellia.

Jeff Hardy Easter Egg

Despite being out of the WWE by the time the game was published, Jeff Hardy still makes a small appearance in-game. In Road to Wrestlemania, go to Locker Room A (the left one). Go in the door and turn right. You should see an action figure poster. One of the action figures is Jeff Hardy.

How To Defend Titles in Exhibition Mode

As all of you know, you can't defend your titles in Exhibition Mode. But I figured out a way.

All you have to do is make the Superstar you want to defend the title hold two titles at once. For example, Randy Orton is the WWE Champion and you want to defend his title against Edge. So go to My WWE, and then Superstar Management, and make Randy Orton hold the Intercontinental Championship too. So, when you select him at the Selection Screen, you will see an option to put the title on the line. Simple as that!

Welcome, young Nooblet, to Mega Cheats Resources. We are Guiding you to the world of Call of Duty:

Black Ops.

Now then, this guide is making the assumption that Black Ops is your first ever First Person

Shooter, ie. A shooting game where you get the view from the eyes of your character, often

abbreviated to FPS.

The basics of the game are simple: Kill the enemies, try not die, and, on some game modes,

try to capture or defend some things.

I'll try to divide it up into bite sized little pieces, so here goes

Game Modes:

To stop you getting confused, I'm start on this first.

All game modes (which are the rules and settings for the games) are divided up by 4 main modes:

-Core:

Players have 100 Health, normal Heads-up-display (HUD), and a minimap which will show the locations of enemies when they shoot (except if they're using silencers). This is the standard game mode.

-Pure:

No attachments, perks, or equipment killstreaks set 3,5,7. Apart from that, identical to Core.

-Hardcore:

More realistic. Health is 30 (I think), no HUD, no minimap, and Friendly Fire is on (Shooting friends).

-Prestige:

Core, but for experienced Players

After picking one of these, you're offered even more options:

Team Deathmatch:

This is probably the main Game Mode, and the one I advise playing until you're well practiced in the game. 10 minutes for 2 teams of 6 to reach a score of 75 kills. First one to reach 75, or the team with the best score after 10 minutes, is the winner.

Mercenary Team Deathmatch:

Team Deathmatch, but without parties. In otherwords, no friends.

Free For All:

Team Deathmatch, but without the teams. Kill anyone you see.

Domination:

2 teams try to capture flags, and get points for the amount of flags they hold.

Headquarters:

Teams try to capture and hold a neutral headquarters. 5 points every 5 seconds for holding it.

Sabotage:

A neutral bomb is in the centre of the map, and the teams try and plant it at targets on the enemies side of the map.

Demoliton:

One team defends 2 bomb sites, while the other teams tries to blow both up.

At the end of one round (by time limit, or both sites being blown up), they switch sides.

Search and destroy:

Just like demoliton, but with a 4 round score limit, and players only have 1 life per round. Switch sides after 3 rounds. Avoid.

Basics:

Now that that's out of the way, let's move on to controls and whatnot.

It's fairly simple:

To shoot, press R1. This will imitate pulling a trigger, and so depending on the gun, can either start firing fully automatic, or a burst of 3 bullets, or a single shot.

If you press L1, you will aim down the sights of the gun, making your shots much much more accurate, and necessary for people that are more than about 15 feet away. If enemies are closer than that, your best option is usually to "Spray", which is shooting without aiming down the sights, or from the hip. This is much more inaccurate, but better at close range.

If players are close enough to bump into you though, the best option is to press the R3 button, which will make your player slash at the enemy with your knife, and if it connects, is always one hit kills.

Next up are grenades. Pressing R2 will pull the pin on a grenade. Release to throw. Same applies to L2, but it will throw your special grenade instead.

If you press the L3 button, you will begin to sprint. You run faster, but you can't shoot while sprinting, and after sprinting you can't shoot for about a second, while can be life or death in an encounter.

X=Jump

Square=Reload, use

Triangle= Switch weapons

O=Crouch, hold to lie down

Directional Pad up= Pull out equipment

D-Pad Left= Use Grenade Launcher, Flamethrower, Masterkey Shotgun

D-Pad Right=Call in Killstreak

That about sums it up for controls.

CoD Points:

Black Ops introduces a new system to the CoD Franchise. Playing games get you CoD Points, which you use to buy perks, weapons, face paints, camos, attatchments, and everything customizable really.

Guns:

The best guns vary from person to person, but here's a quick runthrough of my favourites.

MP5k: Not a very good gun, but the best that you get at the start.

Try to keep fighting to close range though, as it's innacurrate

Famas: This gun is great all round. Decent sprayer, and reliable at long ranges. Well worth the money.

Galil: A great gun for aiming in, but not so good at spraying. I advise using it with a silencer.

AUG: Basically a better version of the Famas, with better spraying, and more powerful.

AK-47: Powerful, and alright accuracy.

That's basically all you need to know.

Perks:

Perks are Bonuses that you select to help your gameplay. Each costs 2,000 CP, except the Defaults. If you complete all the challenges for a perk, you get the Pro version of the perk, which gves you more of a bonus, and costs 3,000 CP.

Tier 1:

Lightweight: Default. Move faster

Pro: No falling Damage

Ghost: Invisible to spy planes.

Pro: Invisible to infared sensors, aircraft, and sentry guns, and no red name or crosshairs when enemies aim at you.

Scavenger: Pick up ammo and lethal grenades from dead enemies.

Pro: Start with full ammo, and replenish specials.

Flak Jacket: Reduced Explosive damage.

Pro: Reduced damage from fires, resets fuses on grenades you throw back.

Hardline: Killstreaks require 1 less kill.

Pro: Switch out your Care Package for another killstreak.

Tier 2:

Hardened: Default. Increased bullet penetration

Pro: More bullet damage to enemy killstreaks, reduced flinch when you're shot.

Sleight of Hand: Faster Reloads

Pro: Aim down sights faster

Steady Aim: More accurate hipfire

Pro: Aim faster after sprinting, recover faster from knife lunges

Scout: Hold your breath longer while aiming in.

Pro: Switch weapons faster.

Warlord: 2 attatchments on your weapon

Pro: 1 extra lethal and tactical grenade.

Tier 3:

Tactical Mask: Immune to Nova Gas.

Pro: Reduced effect of Flash bangs and Concussions. Shows the positions of flashed and stunned enemies.

Marathon: More sprint.

Pro: Infinite Sprint

Hacker: See enemy equipment and turrets.

Pro: Hack enemy equipment and turrets, so it's friendly, and booby trap enemy care packages.

Ninja: Quiter footsteps

Pro: Silent footsteps, enemies footsteps are louder.

Second chance: When dealt lethal damage, given another chance to kill enemy with your pistol

Pro: Longer bleedout time, friends can revive.

Recommended:

Scavenger if you're inaccurate, even if not still helpful. Otherwise ghost.

Sleight of hand, always.

Hacker: The only useful 3rd Tier.

Killstreaks:

Basically, if you get enough kills without dying, you get to use a special thing, depending on how many kills you have.

You can only select 3 different Killstreaks to have at any one time.

You start off with Spy Plane, Care package, and Attack Helicopter.

Spy Plane, 3: A destructible plane flys around the map, and scans for enemies.

RC-XD, 3: A controllable little car strapped with explosives that you detonate whenever. It will be destroyed if you can hit it, but it's fairly hard to hit.

Counter-UAV, 4: A destructible plane that flies around the map, and disables enemies mini-map

SAM Turret, 4: A smoke grenade which indicates to a helicopter where to drop a crate containing a placeable turret that shoots down enemy aircraft.

Care Package, 5: Same basic work as a SAM turret, except the crate has a random killstreak, a minigun, a rocket launcher, or ammo.

Napalm Strike, 5: An airstrike that drops a line of napalm on an area of your choice.

Sentry Gun, 6: Same base as Care Package and Sam Turret, with a placeable automated minigun which shoots enemies.

Mortar Strike, 6: Mark 3 locations for bombardment.

Attack Helicopter, 7: Call in a helicopter that will shoot enemies. Destructible.

Valkyrie Rockets, 7: Airdrop a package with 2 controllable Rockets

Blackbird, 8: Calls in an advanced UAV, which is constantly on, and shows the direction of the enemies.

Rolling Thunder, 8: Call in a massive carpet bomb in a large line. The explosions often penetrate deep into building.

Chopper Gunner/Huey, 9: Control a Minigun mounted on a Helicopter.

Attack Dogs, 11: Call in dogs that will hunt down and kill the enemy.

Gunship/Hind, 11: Control the movement, guns and missiles of a helicopter.

The best killstreak for you depends on how good you are, but for the moment, I would go with either a 3,4,5 or 3,5,6

I: Sub Machine Guns

IA: MP5K: Best with: Red Dot

Considering the damage over distance of this starting sub-machine gun means you may never want to swap out of this weapon anyway. You will want to remain stationary and use short bursts over greater distances, since the recoil can cause you to miss a couple of shots and, inevitably, the kill.

Recoilâ€ High

IB: SCORPION: Best with: Suppressor

The range on this weapon is abominable over any kind of long distance. If thatâ€™s your preferred style, avoid this weapon entirely. It is, however, very accurate â€“ especially from the hip â€“ so perfect for close quarters maps like Cracked. Sticking the Suppressor on the gun, you lose no damage, or range. This gun is strong no matter what.

Recoil: Non

IC: MAC11

Best with: Grip

This is a fairly forgettable weapon in most categories. Its damage is itâ€™s forgiving feature, however, which will drop most enemies if you can get the first shots off. Ultimately weâ€™d recommend you hold out for something a little more special. Sticking a Grip on will give you better control over it when attacking your foes.

Recoil: High

ID: AK74u

Best with: Rapid Fire

Since you no doubt already heard of this weapon, youâ€™re probably aware that it is a decent weapon. And the same is true in Black Ops, covering most bases that you want a sub-machine gun to cover: power, accuracy, range â€“ itâ€™s got it all. For this reason the choice of attachment lies with your preference, a grip for more precise shots over distance or a grenade launcher for those so inclined. Rapid Fire for close range to medium range shots, with a burst fire.

Recoil: Medium to Non

IE: Uzi

Best with: Grip

Much like the MAC11, the Uzi requires specific situations to really excel. Getting the jump on enemies and in close range combat is really the only way to use this. Itâ€™s accuracy and recoil will be the biggest downfall, so shooting from the hip will save the day. Using a grip will help over distance, but we wouldnâ€™t bother.

Recoil: High

IF: PM63

Best with: Extended Mag

This is the most accurate of the sub-machine guns, and it packs a punch too. There are very few options available to you with this weapon, which says a lot about how useful it is. The choice is yours then, from a grip for slight accuracy upgrade or extended mag to increase its rather limited clip size.

Recoil: Low

IG: MPL

Best with: Red Dot Sight

A 32 bullet clip makes this practically an assault rifle. Unfortunately, it lacks the punch of bigger weapons so is limited in its use. Best for maps like Havana and Cracked, which have a lot of corners and inside sections, while giving range across the longer stretches â€“ albeit only with short bursts.

Recoil: Low

IH: Spectre

Best with: Red Dot Sight

A fairly versatile weapon that excels in no real area. It has a bit of damage but not enough to rival the AK or PM63. It can be used across various distances without worry providing you use single shots, but can also be used in close quarters if needed. A red dot sight will help you with aiming, but switching out for a grip or rapid fire will give you your own play style.

Recoil: Low to Medium

IJ: Kiparis

Best with: Grip

If youâ€™re not using a grip then make sure you use single shots here, since the unforgiving kick will really put you off. It makes up for this with an excellent range and accuracy, however, that really makes up for it horrible recoil.

Recoil: High

II: Assault Rifles

IIA: M16

Best with: Red Dot Sight

For many this will be the only assault rifle they need. Lucky, then, that itâ€™s also the first rifle. It is a burst fire weapon, however, which may cause a problem â€“ this is easily countered by spamming three or four shots into your enemy, dealing the required damage to take them down. The choice of attachment comes down to play style, but a sight will give you better control over head-shots.

Recoil: None(3 Burst)

IIB: Enfield

Best with: Reflex Sight

Where the M16 is powerful, the Enfield is fast. Because of this it does lack some of accuracy and range, which can be easily negated with attachments, but it is nonetheless an excellent weapon to use in maps like Grid where even distant foes arenâ€™t too far away. Its damage will drop most enemies without a worry.

Recoil: Low to None

IIC: M14

Best with: Grip

This is the first semi-automatic rifle you can unlock, so if you prefer accurate shots to a spray of bullets you will want to start using this. Unfortunately, its accuracy isnâ€™t as perfect as you might hope, so a Grip could be the best option for you. Make you always follow each shot though, since even headshots may not kill automatically.

Recoil: Medium

IID: Famas

Best with: Red Dot/Reflex Sight

The poor damage of the Famas is improved with its high accuracy and range. You can use burst fire across long distances with no worries, while unloading your clip when racing through corridors. Assault rifles are the most customizable, so attachments are best chosen to suit your gameplay, though a sight will give you more visibility for shots.

Recoil: Medium

IIE: Galil

Best with: Dual Mag

As one of the most weighted assault rifles with a big clip size, the Galil is for those who want a bit more clout for their money. As a result the recoil can be problematic, especially over greater distances, but for many this isnâ€™t going to be an issue. Weâ€™d recommend the Dual Mag if youâ€™re not a Sleight Of Hand user, to make reloads quicker.

Recoil: Medium

IIF: AUG

Best with: Grenade Launcher

The AUG is a deadly weapon in the right hands, giving great accuracy with very little recoil. For those who like their shots to hit, this is the best one to go for. The damage is decent enough to allow for close quarters combat too. The launcher is great with this gun as well. The Aim for the Launcher is great.

Recoil: Medium

IIG: FN FAL

Best with: Red Dot Sight

Put simply, this is the best single shot assault rifle you can use. Which isnâ€™t surprising considering there are only two. Between this and the M14, pick this one â€“ obviously â€“ since itâ€™s increased damage and spot on accuracy makes it a fearsome weapon in the right hands.

Recoil: Low

IIH: AK47

Best with: Extended Mag

Everyoneâ€™s favorite assault rifle, despite its poor accuracy and recoil. This is a rifle for those who like to be quick and deadly, since itâ€™s damage is unrivaled by its fully automatic peers. If you want a long shot though, use only short bursts. Extended Magâ€™s for killing a group of people quickly. The AKâ€™s damage is high.

Recoil: Low

IIJ: Commando

Best with: Red Dot Sight

This is a very accurate rifle, especially for a full automatic. You will want to use shorter bursts, and gentle trigger presses, to keep it better under control but you wonâ€™t have a problem reaching distant foes or dropping nearby enemies. An all-rounder, but a bloody good one. You wonâ€™t need any CQC attachments, so a better sight will do.

Recoil: Low to Medium

IIK: G11

Best with: Variable Zoom/Nothing

Basically, this is a sniper assault rifle, and is deadly as it sounds. Ridiculously accurate, youâ€™ll be able to drop a stationary enemy with two button presses from an insane distance. It is only burst fire, so it takes a certain type of player to master, but it is nonetheless a beast of a weapon. The only attachments are two variants of scope â€“ the decision of which is yours, dependant on how ranged youâ€™d like to be.

Recoil: None (3 Burst)

III Light Machine Guns

IIIA: HK21

Best with: Red Dot Sight

Call Of Duty has never really been one for LMGs, since their heavy recoils often put most players off â€“ especially in Hardcore. Nothing is different is here, and the HK21 is the most awkward of the bunch, with a lot of recoil making it difficult to utilize. Adding a sight is pretty much all you can do to improve the situation.

Recoil: High

IIIB: RPK

Best with: Red Dot

The RPK is an improvement on the HK21, so itâ€™s the natural successor to that. There is still a great deal of recoil though, but its higher clip will give you a few extra shots when dropping down to defend an objective. Sleight Of Hand will counter the long reload times.

Recoil: High

IIIC: M60

Best with: Grip

With 100 bullets a clip you can expect that this will take a long time to reload. You will need to learn to keep on to the bullets in the clip, rather than reloading after every kill. The recoil of the M60 is much fairer than the previous two LMGs too, so its powerful bullets wonâ€™t take too much controlling. A grip will help reduce kickback too, making it a deadly weapon.

Recoil: High

IIID: Stoner63

Best with: Sight

This is practically an assault rifle level of accuracy and power, and definitely one worth using. It has low levels of recoil and, if used with gentle button presses and single shots you will be able to take down many of your opponents before they have a chance to react. There are few possible attachments, however, so a choice of sight will be your best option.

IIII Shotguns

IIIIA: Olympia

Best with: N/A

Though the stats suggest this is the longest range, the truth is far from it. Every shotty seems to have the same range, and youâ€™ll want to get closer for a kill. The damage of the Olympia will keep you safe with a single shot, but the double barrel means if you miss both shots youâ€™ll want to leg it until you can reload.

Recoil: None

IIIIB: Stakeout

Best with: Grip

There are four shots with the Stakeout, so if the two of the Olympia isnâ€™t enough then opt for this. Accuracy, range and damage differences seem to be negligible, so the decision is really only how many shots you want available. The grip is the only attachment, so you donâ€™t even need to worry about that decision either.

Recoil: Low

IIIIC: SPAS-12

Best with: Silencer

The damage of the SPAS shotgun is the weakest of the bunch, but itâ€™s high fire rate means you can shell out a few blasts quickly before the lack of damage becomes a problem. As with all shotguns, the closer you are the easier the kill. Bizarrely, if you want to remain quiet with a shotgun, this is your only option for a suppressed weapon.

Recoil: Medium

IIIID: HS10

Best with: Dual Wield

This is the most accurate of the shotguns, with little recoil meaning you can easily follow up one shot without much aim control. Its damage is fair too, so you may only need a couple of blasts before downing an opponent. If you feel like being really bad-ass, try equipping Dual Wield to dominate any close quarters maps.

Recoil: None

IIIII Sniper Rifles

IIIIIA: Dragunov

Best with: Variable Zoom

If youâ€™re one of those snipers that donâ€™t want to think about every shot, then this is the rifle for you. Itâ€™s high clip count balances out the poor damage, so prepare to unload a few bullets before you kill an enemy. The Dragunov is fairly accurate too if youâ€™re gentle with the button presses, so donâ€™t worry about impossible headshots.

IIIIIB: WA2000

Best with: Variable Zoom

The lower clip count means this weapon does additional damage. This is a step up from the Dragunov by allowing players the best of both worlds a semi-automatic that deals fairly accurate damage to your enemies. There are only six bullets in a clip to contend with, however.

IIIIIC: L96A1

Best with: Variable Zoom

This rifleâ€™s nature as a bolt-action rifle means it has the highest damage of the collection. This means shots to vital areas such as the head and chest are going to be instant kills. The recoil of the scope, however, will mean if you donâ€™t kill your prey with your first shot, donâ€™t expect them to be hanging around afterwards.

IIIIID: PSG-1

Best with: Variable Zoom

This is the most accurate of all the sniper rifles, and is a powerful semi-automatic to boot. Unfortunately there is a downside, in that its recoil is equally as problematic as the L96A1. You may well be able to down someone with a single shot, but like its predecessor it will be difficult to follow up with another bullet.
