Ravenous

Ravenous , where mere mortals are considered simple cattle to quench the hunger of beings that were thought to have lived only in myths and lore, these creatures of the night threaten to invade mankind with a hunger that is Ravenous.

Ravenous is about the secret world of Werewolves and the shaman hunter determined to bring them down. Ravenous creates a Werewolf mythos that will have different subspecies as well as a hierarchical society and mixes in a dash of Native American Folklore. Creature Entertainment is located in Independent Press Booth 20.

UltraVixen

We are not looking to "re-invent" superheroes but rather try and put a comical spin to dynamic stories with allot of action using a sexy heroic female. The story takes place in Meteor City the home of UltraVixen and other heroes who will have cameos from time to time.

UltraVixen being the main character in the story will take up battling less than stellar arch villains with plans of their own. Meteor City has a history of its own spanning from the 40's to current. Creature Entertainment is located in Independent Press Booth 20.

Come out to see Joss Whedon’s web-musical Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog performed by the LIVE CAST of the Crazy Random Happenstance! Spoils Events Schedule

Friday:

12pm - Spoils Booster Draft – Seed & Seed 2 - $10

Registration runs 11 am – 11:50 am. Play begins at 12:00 pm.

Players will open and draft 2 packs of Seed and 1 pack of Seed 2. Players will then construct a 45 card deck and play in a 3+ Swiss round tournament with prize packs based on attendance. In addition to prize packs the following prizes will be awarded:

1^st place - 1 foil dual threshold resource: a micromajig token and a random foil rare.

2^nd place – 1 foil dual threshold resource and a random foil rare.

Aside from 1^st and 2^nd place, two additional players will receive a random foil rare.

5pm – Spoils Open Constructed Tournament - $10

Registration from 4:30 pm – 4:50 pm. Play begins at 12:00 pm.

Emerald Rose returns to MegaCon!

Celtic steampunk, Hobbit dance music and Geek comedy are some of the main themes in Emerald Rose’s high energy musical performances. They’ve played at comic conventions and sci-fi shows across America for over a decade, and this is their third visit to MegaCon. Their music ranges from high energy Celtic songs, jigs and reels to geek-fueled garage rock . Their latest cd, Verdant has been topping the Celtic fusion charts and features their excursions into steampunk territory with songs like ‘Her Majesty’s Airship Corp’ and ‘Clockwork Love’. INTERPLANETARY - THE MAGELLAN INCIDENT

Join the MindGame Productions (TerrorWerks) crew again in 2012 for the next installment of the USMSC Live Experience. Dive into a live action first-person shooter in the military science fiction setting of INTERPLANETARY as you're provided a helmet, tactical vest, automatic weapon, magazines and enter a close-quarter battle scenario with your fellow marines!

At 2317 Zulu the USS Magellan, a naval research vessel operating in deep space, transmitted a distress call stating she was under attack by an unknown enemy force. Regional Fleet HQ dispatched the cruiser USS Ticonderoga with a platoon from from the 166th Marine Strike Team to retake the Magellan. Marines, your mission is to board the Magellan and locate/rescue and surviving crew members, reach the bridge and download all navigation and sensor logs, locate the main science lab and recover all research data, wipe out all remaining hostiles. If unable to regain control of the Magellan, your team can either set the ships self-destruct or fall back to the Ticonderoga and destroy the Magellan with Mk 106 Firefly torpedoes.

• December 3, 2011, Meltdown Comics, Los Angeles, CA: Display of all 104 covers and auction of first one-third
• Jan. 20-22, 2012, Tate's Comics, Lauderhill, FL (Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area): Display of remaining covers and auction of second one-third.
• Feb. 17-19, 2012: Orlando MegaCon, Orlando, FL: Display and auction of final one-third.

All covers will be sold via LIVE AUCTION on-site at the venues above. If you cannot attend but wish to bid, proxy bidding is available.

Magic: The Gathering Dark Ascension Booster Drafts - $15

8-player Dark Ascension single elimination Booster Drafts

1^st Place: wins 5 booster packs.
2^nd Place: wins 3 boosters.
3rd - 4^th Place: wins 2 booster.

Players will booster draft in pods of 8 with three booster packs each of Dark Ascension and Innistrad cards. Using the cards they draft they then construct a 40 card minimum deck and play in a single-elimination sanctioned tournament against each other. Players keep the cards that they collect during the booster draft. Prizes are paid out in booster packs based on attendance after the end of the last round. Check with Tournament Organizer for exact product makeup and prize payout on day of event. At least three Planeswalker Points are awarded for playing in this match.

8-player Win a Box

Players play in a 3+ round Swiss tournament with payout based on standings. Promos and booster packs paid out as prizes based on attendance. Check with Tournament Organizer for exact product makeup and prize payout on day of event. At least three Planeswalker Points are awarded for playing in this match.

2:00 PM - MTG Dark Ascension Booster Draft - $15

Registration from 1 pm – 1:45 pm. Play begins at 2:00 pm.

Players will booster draft in pods of 8 or less with three booster packs each of Dark Ascension and Innistrad cards. Using the cards they draft they then construct a 40 card minimum deck and play in a on large 3+ round Swiss sanctioned tournament against each other. Players keep the cards that they collect during the booster draft. Prizes are paid out in booster packs and promos based on attendance after the end of the last round. 4:00 PM - Magic: The Gathering Commander Pods Begin - $5

Registration from 3 pm – 4:45 pm. Play begins as soon as a pod fills up after 4:00 pm.

Players will play in Grand Melee Commander pods of 6 or less. The format of the event is Sanctioned Casual Commander with last man standing determining the winner of the pod. Multiple pods will start as they fill up. Prizes are paid out at a rate of 1 pack per player. Last two people alive in the pod win booster packs based on attendance. 6:00 PM – Friday Night Magic Standard Constructed Tournament - $10

10:00 AM - 2 Headed Giant Dark Ascension Sealed for Movie Tickets! - $40 per 2 person team

Bring a friend and start your day right by winning a movie night for 2.
First place team wins movie gift cards. Additional booster pack prizes based on attendance. Each Team receives 8 booster packs of Dark Ascension and Innistrad to split and make 2 forty card minimum decks with. Then players compete in one game matches with other teams of two in a single elimination sanctioned tournament. Last team standing wins. You keep the product you are given with the tournament. SUPERCON 2K SERIES COMES TO MEGACON

The SuperCon 2K Series is the place to be for all gamers to explorer all the aspects of the gaming industry and beyond. The SuperCon 2K Series travels to multiple locations across the nation, providing a home for gamers to meet other gamers, make new friends, play casual games, learn about the gaming industry reach to a variety of genre’s which includes anime, sci-fi and participate in tournament games to win the title of the most proven player in the nation.

For the casual gamer there are multiple game set-ups, free giveaways, opportunities to meet local or national talent involved in the video game industry or related industries and of course to participate in fun casual games. You also have the ability to participate in a variety of workshop and panels that relate to gaming, anime, sci-fi and more.

For the hardcore gamer there are tournament events in the most popular video games out today. In addition, national rankings are awarded to each competitor at every SuperCon 2K Series event. Players who compete in multiple SuperCon 2K Series of events will have the opportunity to be crowned the National Champion of the Series. This is the champion who has proven their ability among the nation’s best players around the nation. Each event, both online and offline is refereed by experienced staff so when you win here it is real.
