Happy Valentine’s Day, beautiful, capable, lovable, darling.

I hope you have enjoyed feeling and sharing the love on our 14 day adventure.  It is our last day and I have something special planned.  You know I’m kind-of into flowers, right?

A fresh flower is timeless.  It is sentimental and has the power to make someone feel incredibly valued and important.  Think about the way you feel when someone gives you flowers.  Then think for a minute how great it would feel to give that feeling to a stranger.  I cannot wait to spend my Valentine’s Day helping someone else feel that way because all of God’s children are important, loved, and valued beyond measure.  Take a stand and make today about love.

“I really enjoyed doing my senior photoshoot with Megan not only because it was fun changing my clothes around a lot, but also because I’m normally really shy, but she made it to where I was comfortable and confident enough to have wonderful photos taken of me. Cutting out paper hearts is really easy, and super fun!  Just fold a piece of paper in half, then starting on the crease cut a half heart shape, any size, and open.  A perfectly symmetrical heart, ready to sprinkle a little love on someone’s day.  You can cut them out of pretty much anything you have on hand and the effect will be charming.  Any kind of paper, fabric, even recycled cardboard and the like.  I am a fan of a whole menagerie of them; all different shapes, colors, sizes and textures.

Five is really only a suggestion and a minimum!!! I think this exercise will be most effective if you don’t hold back. Write anything and everything that comes to mind. There is so much to love, like the fact that you have such good taste, wink-wink. How about that outfit you put together today, or the way you did your hair? Or how you are open minded enough to read this and humor me! That says a lot about the awesome girl I know you are. Here are a few questions to get your juices flowing:

1. How do I treat others?

2. What inspires me?

3. What makes me smile when I look in the mirror?

4. What do I believe makes a good person?

5. What do others praise me for?

Supplies:

1. T-shirt, any color but richer tones seem to work best

2. Bleach pen

3. chalk

4. cardboard

5. pattern

Once you have your supplies get a pattern and transfer it to your shirt with chalk.  I sharpened mine first.

Put the cardboard in the shirt so the bleach doesn’t bleed through to the back.

Trace your outline with your bleach pen.  Let it sit for up to thirty minutes paying attention to how strong the color change is.  Rinse in cold, running water and launder normally before wear.

Hey Cutie!

You know those days that you wake up asking yourself how you’re going to get through this day and wishing you could stay in bed?  It’s on days like that I find that wearing a little something special, just for me, goes a long way.  Colorful socks, even hidden in dark boots will put a bounce in your step and leave you feeling dewy drops of color all around you.  That way, no matter where your feet actually are, you’ll be walking on a rainbow.  And then anything is possible, who knows, maybe the day will end in a pot of gold or at the very least, a heartfelt dream come true.
