The rumor mill is a horrible invention. Rumors ruin a lot of things; friendships, relationships, good days, etc.

I was dating this nice kid and I heard a rumor that he was going to break up with me (which he did, over FACEBOOK, too.) and that it was because of one of my friends flirting with him. I was told that he originally said the relationship was weird but my friend didn't think that was true, she'd heard that my other friend had told him she'd date him if he was single (he'd liked her before) and that was what she thought was the real reason. Then later that night he messaged me saying that we were over so I asked him about my friend and if she was part of it and he assured both me and my friend that the other friend had no part in his decision and the flirting was a while ago. I had been PISSED all afternoon at him for a false reason.

I have two brothers and two sisters. One of my brothers decided to help us find a new car even though we told him we couldn't afford one (he lives in wyoming, we live in colorado; hard to get a car from wyoming to colorado when you don't have the money). So my sister's husband was helping my brother and called me during school (I could have very well gotten my phone taken away) on my brother's phone because my brother found a car and was driving at the time but the guy didn't know which number was mine and which was the home number. I got the notification on the bus ride home and this isn't the first time my brother's called me during class, so I texted him this:
I have school dipshit! Ur lucky my phone was on vibrate!

He called a little while ago ranting and raving because he "doesn't appreciate being called a dipship" when he is one! Then when my mom and I told him I could've gotten my phone taken away he said, "So? That doesn't give her any reason to call me a dipshit". Yes it does!

1. If my phone had been taken away, I would've been calling him MANY other names.
2. How was I supposed to know it wasn't him when he's called before?
3. Why didn't HE pull over and call?!
4. Since it wasn't him, he should be mature enough to REALIZE I didn't know that and to talk to me with the same respect he demands.
5. If he can't take it being called a dipshit, he should grow a pair.

Don't tell me what you think, unless you agree with me. I am NOT in the mood for critizism.

Why are they so confusing? They think GIRLS are hard to understand? No. You can just buy us some chocolate, and we'll be happy for hours. Now GUYS are hard to understand.
First of all, it always seems to be the pretty girls getting cheated on! WTF?! And guys will flirt with you even if they don't like you! I'm having THAT problem, I think.
I like this guy and we'll be talking on FB and one time we had this conversation:

me: what do you mean?! sounds kinda suspicious lol

him: well idk jw cuz if u aint got anyone to chill wit i can come hang out wit u

Student Council and Loud People

So I've had an angering day.

I am part of our Student Council here, and I had this funny idea for our spirit week. I liked the idea of a "Teacher Impersonation Day" but I didn't get the chance to throw it into the idea pile! I have perfect attendance so far so I was there the day of the meeting when all the days were decided.

What happened was that some loud-a**es behind me (between me and the intercom) were preventing me from hearing the announcement about it that morning so then in second hour I asked about when the next meeting would be and SOMEONE told me the meeting was in a different room than what it was really in! It so happens that there were TWO meeting going on at the same time so I went to the WRONG meeting thinking that the SOMEONE just got the days mixed up meeting-wise but the STUCO meeting was the same time so I missed it COMPLETELY!!! Now the days are things like "Pajama Day", "Blue and Gold Day", and "Superhero vs. Supervillan"! They're CRAP!

I found out today and, maaan, did it put me in a BAD effing mood!
Don't you HATE when some STUPID person ends up cheating you out of your say?!

So we (my parents and i) have been fed up with our desktop for a few YEARS now so when we were watching this electronics selling show on tv, we jumped to the phone when a laptop came on. What we got was a Intel Core i3-2310M 4GB DDR3 Memory 320 GB HDD 15.6" 16:9 HD LED LCD Gateway with Intel HD Graphics 3000, a 1.3 MP HD webcam, and VD-Super Multi DL drive in blue. :D

I'm posting on it right now and it is AMAZING! for the past two days I've been on RuneScape on it (of which I couldn't load on our desktop) while playing my ProjectPlaylist! Now playlist tends to REALLY take up RAM so when that wasn't going, I'd be on FaceBook, Google, Email, etc. all at the same time; only difficulty is that RuneScape boots ya off if you don't do SOMETHING for too long so I had to be carefull. ;)

By the title I don't mean mentally "different" people, I mean normal people who just don't use the brain God gave them!

My friend, MV, has had a pretty rough life. Her parents divorced a while ago and her mom has never been fully "there" when it came to being a mother. She moved back to this town as a freshman and she is now 16, will be 17 soon, and we're both juniors in high school. Her parents have had joint custody of her as far as I can remember and she has hated her mother since before the break-up.

Well, MV had been working on all of the paperwork and everything for her to be part of an exchange-student program working out of Telluride, Colorado. It took her 2 years just to get to the actual LEAVING point, which was supposed to be this past summer. She was supposed to leave in July to Australia but Telluride kept putting her off, saying first that they still needed to get her somewhere to stay in Australia, then that she would need a new country to go to, then that she was going to Ecuador, then they just wouldn't give her ANY reason for waiting and now she's not going at all. Partly because of the trouble she was having, and partly because of the fact that she had a court date to go to. Her mother started a dad gum CUSTODY BATTLE!!! With only a year and a half until MV would be moving out undoubtably anyway!

So they went to court and everything and MV's dad won. Now MV won't have to see her mom until January but then I guess she has to stay at her mom's house every weekend and Thursdays so that part sucks a little. Then I heard on FaceBook, from MV herself, that her mother had:
1. Tore up her prom dress for THIS year
2. Wadded up her prom dress from last year
3. Ruined every art project of her's in the house
4. Broken all of her glass objects

Now, I got REALLY pissed. I told MV that her mother was a childish bitch. She agreed then I said that I hope her mother was reading that but then she said that she blocked her mother and that she would block anyone who showed the convo to her mother. Thing was, was that I had been so mad that I had come up with a plan to message MV's mom and tell her how much I despise her now, how childish she is, and how undeserving she is; then making a FaceBook club page called The Anti-*censored for her protection* Club and print out flyers for it to hang around town. But MV totally shot down my plan because messaging her mother that could be considered telling her mom the convo. Then she may not be on board for the club.

So now I feel unhelpful and helpless MYSELF. Our friend IC and I are both the kind of people of whome you DON'T mess with our friends, even IF you're their mother. We WILL get you back. So I don't like MV putting such restrictions on my actions.

I don't know what to do! So please, if you would be so kind as to comment or message me with suggestions, that would be great!

Wedgie! Foul ball sticks in mask of Mariners catcher Josh Bard

It was obvious all afternoon — and perhaps all season — that the Seattle Mariners needed a wake-up call. Unfortunately for catcher Josh Bard(notes), when the call finally came, he was on the receiving end. And even more unfortunately, it did nothing to jump start his team in their 3-0 loss to the Oakland Athletics — a game in which their offense was three-hit by starter Brandon McCarthy(notes).
The alarm went off during the bottom of the sixth inning, with Bard behind the plate performing his catching duties. Oakland's Cliff Pennington(notes) stepped in with two outs and got a pretty good piece of Michael Pineda's(notes) first pitch 93 mph fastball, but fouled it straight back into the hockey goalie-type mask worn by Bard.
And when I say into the mask, I don't mean hit the mask and bounced straight down or deflected away. I mean literally into the mask, where it wedged between the top two bars.

Bard later admitted he was temporarily dazed by the impact. That might explain why he asked home plate umpire Bill Welke for a new ball before being informed the old one was stuck in his mask.
"I think it was just one of those times when it was a perfect placement and maybe a softer ball than normal," Bard said. "It just stuck. Obviously I'm grateful that I still have my eye and nose. I still have plenty of nose," he joked. "So it's all good."

That's wedged in there pretty good.

Looks like my mask has a new handle!

After a few good tugs, the ball was finally dislodged. Bard then examined his mask, deemed it fit to continue, and a game with little effect on the standings carried on. But hey, it's moments like these that make playing out the string worthwhile for everybody.

Well, except maybe for the catchers.

Speaking of catchers and wedges, Mariners skipper Eric Wedge, a catcher in his day, says he's never seen a ball get stuck in the mask during his career. He also questioned Bard's decision to stick with the likely damaged mask.
"I wouldn't have taken the mask back out there, because if it got stuck, it almost got through, but he stuck with it."
I'm siding with the skipper on this one.

As you probably know, I am a junior in high school now so I've been looking at colleges and scholarships. I was referred to Scholarship.com by my school website so I checked it out. It is actually really helpful. You begin by registering on their website and filling out all your info such as year of graduation and household income (for scholarship matching).

Then you can search for colleges using their College Matchmaker or see your matching scholarships. They can also reffer you to other sites that you can find grants and loans on!

It's really a great site and anyone who is interrested in college should check it out! :)

There are skinny houses. And then there is Jakub Szczęsny's Keret House, which could make Calista Flockhart look like a fatty. At its most generous, the proposed place, in Warsaw, Poland, will clock in at 4 feet wide. At its narrowest, it'll be just 28 inches wide -- thinner than the average doorway. And we complain about our sardine can in New York...

The house (officially an "art installation," because it doesn't meet Polish building code) is slated to fill a crack between a pair of buildings in Warsaw's Wola district. When construction's finished in December, it'll be the thinnest house in Warsaw and possibly the whole world. We did a quick Google search and couldn't find anything leaner.

Szczęsny designed the house to be a work space and home for Israeli writer Etgar Keret. It'll also be a "studio for invited guests -- young creators and intellectualists from all over the world." If, that is, they're willing to drop half their body weight to fit inside.

Kidding, kidding. In all seriousness, though, the house is a pretty remarkable feat of architecture. If everything goes according to plan, Szczęsny will manage to squeeze in designated rooms for sleeping, eating, and working. The place will have off-grid plumbing inspired by boat sewage technology and electricity lifted from a neighbor. To save space, the entry stairs will fold up at the press of a button and become part of the first floor.

Aesthetically, the Keret House isn't gonna win any beauty contests. It's been compared to everything from a pregnancy test to a sanitary napkin. (Our vote is for "pregnancy test.") Our biggest concern, though, is that it's hardly got any windows. How's it going to "produce creative work conditions," as ArchDaily reports, and "become a significant platform for world intellectual exchange," if it feels like a sensory deprivation chamber? Won't Keret go insane? But maybe that's the point. It's not like he'd be the first artist to benefit from going crazy.

My Thoughts On The Paleo Diet

I am a carnivorous person. I grew up with steak, hamburger, deer, elk, bear, etc. and when I hear about vegetarians and vegans and people who think we're being inhuman by eating other animals, I want to laugh in their faces!

When I saw this diet on Yahoo! I was incredibly surprised because dieticians are usually saying that you should eat less meat and more grains, vegetables, and soy but this diet is all about the meat!

Though in the article it does say that not many proffessionals are backing it because there "isn't enough facts known yet". PHHHHFFFFTTTTTT! So what?! If it's working for people, great!

Paleo Diet: Smart eating or latest fad?

In the quest for optimum health and weight, should humans consider looking back at what their ancestors consumed? That's the theory proposed by the "Paleo Diet" (aka, Caveman Diet), which recommends taking cues from the age of hunters and gatherers and leaving some of our modern food groups behind.

The idea is simple: You eat a diet that's gluten-free, but rich in lean, organic meats, fish, poultry, eggs, vegetables, fruit and nuts. As much as possible should be sourced locally. You exclude grains, legumes, dairy products, salt, refined sugar and processed oils.
All of this measures up to a eating regimen that, according to Loren Cordain, professor of health and exercise at Colorado State University, is a "powerful way to normalize health and well-being."

Cordain is joined by thousands of others who have found similar success on the Paleo — with the site Whole9 providing perhaps the best description of the benefits saying:

"Eating like this is good for maintaining a healthy metabolism, and reducing inflammation within the body. It’s been doing great things for my energy levels, body composition and performance in the gym. It also helps to minimize my risk for a whole host of lifestyle diseases and conditions, like diabetes, heart attack and stroke."WebMD, which always does a decent job of uncovering the truth behind these diets, quizzed a bunch of health specialists who agreed that better health can be achieved on the Paleo, but still believe moderation is the key to overall well-being.

"People who eat diets high in whole grains, beans, and low-fat dairy tend to be healthier because these foods are nutrient-rich and there are mountains of research about the health benefits of diets that include, not exclude, these foods,” Keith Ayoob, EDd, RD, and assistant professor at New York's Albert Einstien School of Medicine told the site.

That "mountains of research" bit touched upon by Ayoob is one of the problems facing the Paleo from gaining more scientific backing. There just haven't been enough large studies to satisfy experts; which is one of the main reasons why U.S. News & World Reports ranked the diet nearly dead last in every category for its first ever "Best Diets" report.

"For the Paleo Diet, additional evidence is needed to show conclusively whether or not it is as effective as some people hypothesize," Ben Harder, general manager of Health and Science at the magazine told ABC News. "The most relevant studies have been small, as our published review of the Paleo Diet indicates. We hope researchers will publish more — and larger — studies on the Paleo Diet so that health experts, including our expert panel, have more evidence to consider in the future."

This has been on the news for how long? It seems like forever.

I was sitting here, just surfing the web, when I heard from Shepard Smith that there's been a change in Miranda Rights readings. Now it is said that, according to the Constitution, if you are arrested for one thing but when you're taken in for questioning they ask you questions about things unrelevent to the reason for your arrest, the authorities don't have to read you your Miranda Rights.

I feel that this is a crock of sh*t because, "according to the Constitution", we have the right to not incriminate ourselves. If you are arrested for, say, stealing a watch from the corner store in your neighborhood but you're being questioned about the drug-dealers near that neighborhood and you answer with names or places, that is incriminating yourself and that is against your Constitutional Rights. Therefore, authorities should still have to read you your Miranda Rights regardless of the questions they mean to ask you.

She's been played by more people than just Angelina.

Without question, Angelina Jolie is the most famous person to ever step into Croft's crop-top and shorts. Indeed, Lara would earn Jolie a nomination for the coveted Worst Actress gong at the Golden Raspberry anti-Oscar ceremony. (She would lose to Mariah Carey's woeful showing in Glitter.) But Lara's also been portrayed by a string of other women over her 15-year history, including one, model Nell McAndrew, who was fired after leveraging her Lara cred into a Playboy appearance. Lara didn't stop there -- she's also graced the covers of countless magazines, and even has a street named after her: Lara Croft Way, in Derby, England, the city where her original creators, Core Design, were based.

She doesn't do anything immodest.

If you were playing video games during the mid-90s, you were sure to know about an infamous Tomb Raider cheat code that, when entered, would supposedly cause Ms. Croft to tackle the game's levels in the buff. Legendary among teenage boys, the code was a myth...although it was nearly a reality. According to Paul Douglas, one of the original game's creators, higher-ups once asked the team to add it to the game, but they refused, crushing the dreams of thousands of adolescents in the process.

She used to be a man.

Yes, really. Lara Croft's designer Toby Gard first envisioned the Tomb Raider star as a hat-sporting, whip-toting male archaeologist. Astonishingly, his design was rejected as too derivative. Can't imagine why.

After opting to create a strong female character instead, Gard found inspiration from pop culture figures including singer Neneh Cherry and 80s comic book star Tank Girl. But Lara's most recognizable feature, her impressive bust, was inadvertently created when Gard scaled up her cleavage by accident. The team liked the new Lara so much that he kept the "enhanced" version.

Whether a home is newly purchased or long inhabited, an updated kitchen, a new deck or even a coat of fresh paint can make it feel spiffier. When it comes to luxury real estate, however, some homeowners take upgrades to an extreme, spending big bucks on outrageous amenities. High-end homes with outrageous and wacky amenities lure many a gawker, but attracting real buyers can be tricky. Luxury homes with unusual amenities speak to a small niche and can sit on the market for longer periods of time, waiting for the right buyer to come along. "The quirkier they [extreme amenities] are, the more they complicate the prospects of reselling the property," says Tara-Nicholle Nelson, consumer educator at Trulia.com, a San Francisco-based real estate listing site. However, she also notes, "Some of the extreme high-end home features actually create a clear way for sellers to differentiate their otherwise already highly attractive home from the other uber-opulent homes on the market." Hall Willkie is president of Brown Harris Stevens, a New York-based real estate firm that represents a $35 million Manhattan townhouse boasting a two-story indoor wall of water. Willkie says both the pool of potential buyers and the selection of homes with opulent amenities are small.

The homes "are the opposite of cookie cutters, so when buyers find a property like that that they like, they tend to become a little aggressive about getting it," he says. Batman would be proud of this Laguna Beach, Calif. estate's hydraulic car lift.

The $10 million cliffside dwelling at Point Place in Laguna Beach, Calif., would make Bruce Wayne proud. The driveway has a secret, subterranean entrance below the house's steep perch, inside the cliff itself. Once a car passes through the hidden garage door, a commercial-grade hydraulic lift transports it up and into the house.

This Westlake Village, Calif. home has its own aesthetician's room for facials and waxings.

Other homes have indoor water works. The $3.4 million Midwest Club estate in Oak Brook, Ill., is on the market for $3.4 million, thanks in part to waterfront views and seven bedroom suites with private living areas and a foliage-lined indoor koi stream. The koi stream warps around a little island holding a ficus tree, while the stream's banks nourish dozens of plants. If you want to access the far side of the room, a stone-tiled bridge will take you there.

My grade is so large that we're split in half and I'm in the half that doesn't cause nearly as many problems as the other half, of course there are some classes I have with the other half. When I am in a class with them, I want to hurt someone, badly. One guy is actually supposed to be a junior but he acts even less mature then the freshmen! We had this guy at our school today talking to us all about music and when it was over my friend said that she was going to have her parents buy her a guitar and this guy, 2 of his other friends, and a senior boy were walking in front of us and he said, "hahaha! She's going to have her parents buy her a guitar! hahahaha!" and his friends laughed along!!! So, not really thinking about what I was doing, I said, "Oh yeah *censored for his protection*, that's SO funny! HA HA HA HA! *slaps knee 4 times* That's really a knee slapper!" The senior looked at me with a look of surprise and *you know who* looked kind of shocked and was like ''heeeey!'' LOL Then, I ride the but home and there are these little 7th graders that are always pissing me off. They cuss constantly and gossip about anyone and everyone they see. One day I was sitting behind some little girls in elementary school and as the boys were getting off, one got in a few of the girls' faces and say things along the lines of "hey, you want some of this?" or "you wanna go?'' He acted all big and tough but he sure walked fast! If I would've been able to get up fast enough, I would've grabbed that kid by the collar and told him JUST what I thought of THAT! I HATE those kids! Those are just a few of the people I have to put up with on a day-to-day basis, tell me your pains in the ass in the comments below. :)
