Hello sweet ones....

Would you believe me if I said, I actually didn't realize at first, that I was making today all about Andrea D'Aquino? It's true...I thought I was featuring several different artists and quickly realized, they were all by Andrea! Isn't her work stunning? Frankly, I am in love with all 3 of these pieces. Which one is your fave?

~ The deep, rich green and the tiny hints of color, speak to a whole world going on in there. here.

~ simplicity and the perfect amount (and shade) of color. here.

~ Once again, the colors are just perfect together. I love that she seems capable of so many different styles but, all unified by her color palatte and sense of beauty. here.

Hello lovelies!

Just a little of what I am inspired by, today. Or is it obsession? Not sure, but sharing it anyway! Gold, stars, texture and gorgeous color. Gets me every time.

~ I have talked about lovely Stepanka's work, a bunch of times. The latest incarnation of her "love" wall pillow has made me fall in love with it all over again. here.

~ Michelle's work always gets me. I don't know it is the rich color, gorgeous detail or both. Each piece she makes, I feel I have to have. here.

~ This table is perfect. 2 would look so great in our living room, as side tables. love. here.

~ I can't stop with the natural element. Love this sconce so much and would love it in our upstairs hallway. here.

~ stars, stars and more stars. Try as I may, I can't seem to get away from them either. ( ok, you got me....I don't really try) I love them and these two pair of shoes have me falling completely head over heel. here and here

Hi friends!

So sorry that I have been so absent. I am still trying to figure out how to balance working in my workshop & the blog. I'll figure it out eventually! Thought I would lighten the beginning of your week a bit, with some beautiful art. All new artists, to me. Jaw dropping detail & happy- inducing illustration. Enjoy!

~ Christian Robinson's work is new to me but, I am so happy to have found his gorgeous illustrations for Patricia Hruby Powell's new children's book, Josephine (to be released by Chronicle in January, 2014). Christian says his mission is "love and happiness". Mission accomplished.

~ Fabienne Auzolle's work was introduced to me by another beautiful artist (Paola Zakimi) and I have fallen hard. Her sculpture draws upon clay, enamel and antique jewelry she picks up at flea markets. Beautiful.

~ Kristi Malakoff The image above is a detail from her life size installation "Maibaum". Made entirely of paper. Hair, ribbon, all of it. I am floored. With all of the amazing paper artists out there, I am still in awe of the detail in her work and wondering how long it took her to complete this piece? Just amazing.

Little things & Little moments

Hi friends,

So, I've decided to make a few changes around here. Just a few things to make my life a little easier. I'm having so much trouble keeping up with the blog & getting my work done, in my workshop! Somethins gotta give! :) I am just cutting back a bit, no longer doing cheap & chic or friday posts. But, I will still be here, to the best of my abilities mon thru thursdays. I'd like to think that I can balance it all but, I just can't. I think it will make everything a lot less stressful. So....

Little things:

~ My lastest, I haven't come up with a name for it yet but, I like it! It started out as one thing and evolved into something else. It is making me happy today! :)

~ Obsessed with these Valentino sunnies and the bows on the sides. Can't you hear them whispering? "Summer....summer....summer."

~ Ditto, this tv console. I love that blue and the modern lines are just what the doctor ordered for my living room ( or, so says me!) and the price is cah-razy. :)

Little moments:

~ my hubby acting as my trainer this past week. Fun and he's good at it! :)

~ getting some good nights sleep in.

~ going to the drama desk awards sunday night, and SO excited for Joel. He was nominated for "Outstanding actor in a solo performance" and I am just SO proud of him. It is a huge honor in the NY theater scene and should be a lot of fun!

Hello, hello!

I have been so absent and I apologize! I was out of town for a few days and then busy in my workshop for awhile there. But, I am back and hoping you had a wonderful weekend! And for you mamas, out there, I hope you had a beautiful mother's day! It was beautiful weather here & we made the most of it. It was truly, the perfect day.
