Hey everyone... I'm finally back on the net.

I spent the past 2 months in China, where blogger was banned. But I also had absolutely no time at all to blog. When they say intensive... they mean intensive. My brain about exploded from the Chinese overload.

Chinese New Year is tomorrow. And cutting/preparation has to be today. So... my family is huge so everyone has to chip in, therefore I shall blog later.

Man... this is so awesome!!! I love listening to orchestras, and Chinese orchestras are the best!!! Not to mention that this is the Nanyang Polytechnic Chinese Orchestra, so it's Singaporean too! And I love this conductor. He is so awesome!~ Need to listen to them at least once. XD

I wish I learned how to play the bamboo flute!!! It makes such a lovely sound. Wonder if I can still learn it now? Try and get my dad to teach it to me. Or the other instruments. And I have to say I love these versions. Wish they would make audio versions.Wonder what it would sound like if sang along with.

I love the combination of the songs, and they flow really well too. HOW AWESOME IS THE CONDUCTOR?!?

Hey everyone!~ Sorry for the late post. =/ I've just been really busy with uni. And on top of that, I've been having really bad sleeping problems as well. sighhhhhhhhhh

For the past few weeks, I have little to no sleep every night. Which causes me to crash some days... and it's really bad. I try to sleep and shut down my mind. But my mind just won't shut down, so I end up exhausted every day. But I've been missing blogging so here I am. XD

One thing I've learned is that music tends to help me focus and stay awake. And I have to say that since Beast's third mini album has come out, its been on almost constant replay. XD

I dunno if anyone's seen this vid, but it is really inspiring. It goes to show that with determination and will, anything can be done. And it also gives me no excuse for not playing the piano, but I've found that my enjoyment in playing it is gone. Which is sad. And I blame my mum for it. XD

However, I do think that when the said loved ones find out the truth, it's even worse isn't it? Honestly though, I haven't been doing much so yeah... =S

I was going to do a quote rant post, but... well, I was being my usual slack self. XD

I've been living at dad's for almost 2 weeks now I believe, and I have to say that I do quite like it. XD Dad's not forever on my back about everything and he has his own stuff to do too.

The only real bad thing about being at dad's is that his internet connection is crap. It is so unstable. Every few minutes it would cut out, therefore making msn impossible for me. =[

Step up 3D

On Tuesday, I went to watch Step Up 3D with my friend Tiffany at Hoyts. And it ended being just $7 even though it was a 3D movie because she had vouchers. What a bargain was that? And we got 3D glasses as well!!! No plastic crap that I used to get. XD And no need to buy 3D glasses anymore. =]

I have to say, main character Moose, I love you and your dorkiness and smooth moves. It was awesome. And I see that you were in Step up 2 as well. XD And hello there another Home and Away star in the main girl lead. XD

The choreography for this movie was really well done. My favourite one though, was definitely their last routinue with the Led lights. That was out of the world!~

One thing I did enjoy more, is that the plot, as little as there was, was actually quite good and well acted out. At least to me. XD But the dancing! I loved that there was more dancing in this movie than the previous ones. The 3D effect was actually quite ok as well. =]

XD Now I have Inception to go!!! And probably some other movies that only just got released in Australia... like maybe Salt... hmmm

Since my last post yesterday, mum has proceeded to cut my hair today, so I look different now. LOL XD Fringe is shorter, hair less thick. =]

And another thing... mum only just found out last night and told me and my brother about it today, but my granny in Singapore has had a stroke. And not only that, but they say that they need to see if she gets better or not. If she doesn't get better in 3 days, then she may die in 5 days. And I'm just really shocked at that. =S My mum's going to fly back to Singapore, and I want to as well, but what with these fews weeks having to hand in assignments and stuff, I just can't afford to. =[

Sigh... we'll see how it goes.

This is so true. Sometimes, the decisions that we make may seem to be the best at the time for you, but when you look back, you realise that it wasn't the best, but really just the easiest decision for you to make. Decisions. Whether to lie or not. Whether you believe someone or not. Don't always pick the easiest way out, as it most likely isn't the right way to go.

And on a side note... I do love the image, and the composition and everything. Especially the contrast of the bright blue umbrella against the dark backdrop. =]

This is so true in so many ways.

When a person is growing up, there are many things that help us develop, and experiences is one of them. Both good and bad. The bad experiences though, tend to leave scars in a person, scars that definitely can't be seen, but they definitely hurt the most as they stay with a person the longest and effects the way that they interact with other people.

Sometimes, when people react the wrong way to something you say or do, you should think about the reasons behind why they may have reacted in that way.

And... there's so many other things that can be said about this, but I'll leave it for other quotes that are similar to this. XD

Ok... I came home today from Uni, and the TV was on and the news was showing, and the first thing I see is Cocaine... on a soft drink bottle. And a little kid drinking it and saying "soda" never mind that its a high energy drink, and why you would give a little kid a high energy drink is beyond me but that is besides the point. WHY would you have a high energy drink called COCAINE?!?!? Why cocaine of all things? *facepalm*

Anyways, the person who made it was like, Cocaine was a high energising, blah blah blah crap, which is why they chose the name. =.= Not impressed. At all.

The thing is that it is a high energy drink. 3x more the level of caffeine than Red Bull. And Red Bull already gives quite the kick. And just imagining it is seriously funny. LOL. You know how people ask what are you drinking? And you reply, I'm drinking a Red Bull, Mother, V and what not? LOLOL I'm drinking a Cocaine. XD HAHAHAHAZ!!!! Funny. XD

And I can just imagine any Asian parents reaction. XD This is one of the moments where they prove you are never too old to be hit. XD My mum would like, smack me so hard across the face and then ask questions later. But honestly, Cocaine?!? Mind is blown.

Happiness isn't getting what we want, but being satisfied with what we have. The way to be happy is to be grateful even with the simple blessing we have.

This quote is really true isn't it? And I'm thinking that by what we want, it means that more trival things such as objects and maybe people? Such as wanting someone who we can't have, or things that we can't afford and stuff.

Being happy means appreciating what you have, and being satisfied. XD

Difference over knives

Hmm... This is one thing that I've always thought about. Considering that I live in a Western country, but have been brought up in an Asian family/background with their values, so I am thinking that I will probably talk more on this topic... so... new component of my blog is here... XD

Anyways, my brother's friend is having his engagement party. And my brother had to rush to buy him a present, and guess what my brother got his friend? A set of knives, kitchen knives. Not that big of a deal right?

Well not for my mum. My mum's reaction to it was a "huh... why? WHAT?!? Who does that? It's not a good sign." For those who might not know, to the Chinese, there are a few things that are just not allowed to be given as a present during engagements, weddings and birthdays, etc. And a knife is one of them. Not just because it's a knife and you can kill someone with it, but for engagements and weddings, it's like the cutting of the bond? Something like that.

So just then, she was talking about it with a couple who lives close by. And the auntie's reaction was to it was "WHAT?!?!? WHY?!?!? YOU DON'T GIVE SOMEONE A KNIFE FOR THEIR ENGAGEMENT!!!" Where as her husband said that it was fine, since he didn't know the meaning behind it, and that it was a practical gift (more Western thinking, I presume?), and that it was a New Age/generation gift. To which the wife said that there were many other practical gifts that could be given to them, like a toaster or what not. Which I think is true. Like I would think that even if you were to buy someone a set of knives, it would be for their wedding right? Since they wouldn't need it for an engagement, but that's besides the point.

To Asians, buying a knife is a huge crime. If you receive one for a engagement/wedding, it is a bad sign. Westerners though, don't really care.

Faceshop... Skinshop?

I was walking through the Glen today, and I told my friend that the Faceshop wasn't open because of either renovations or changing shops... and the odds were that it was changing. And yesterday when I walked past the Faceshop, it was still closed. But today, I was walking with my other friend and I told her about it too. So we walked to it, but I was like... OMG!!! It's open!!! What shop is it?

And then I was confronted with the title The SkinShop. LOL I had question marks all over the place. But it still looked like the FaceShop and I was looking for the nail polish, but they had different ones... =[

And then I looked around the shop and I realised why it was called The SkinShop. Because now it not only sell products from The FaceShop but also products from Skinfood. And you know... The Facefood is a horrible name for a shop right? XD

They had masks and cleansers and the whole sets. But no makeup from the Skinfood. So the makeup is still the same except for the nail polish. They also had some Etude House face masks too... XD

Man... I brought nail polish again. I was sad that they didn't have the colours from before since it wasn't the Faceshop nailpolishes anymore, but they still had very pretty colours so I ended up buying 3 since it was 3 for $10 and 1 was $4. XD But I also bought two yesterday from Sportsgirl. LOL

OMG!!! This just reminded me why I love Se7en so much!!! =] Which I think some people would find shocking, since... I don't have the greatest of love for most YG Entertainment artists. XD

I love this song!!! When I first heard the autotune, I was kinda disappointed that his voice was well autotuned, and then the chorus started and his voice!!! OMG!!! yeah. I loved it. My love for his voice knows no bounds!!! And listening to it the second time, knowing that it was a blend of the two, I could appreciate the song so much more. =]

And his English!!! OMG!!! I could tell when he was singing English in the song!!! The choreography I quite like too. XD

And no shirtlift!!!! OMG!!! YAY!!! ROFL. XD But his arms... *drool* XD

I kinda LOL at the 'Girls I do adore' part though. Like I did with GD's rap in TaeYang's song. XD Flashback to Girls. XD Which I didn't think was all that bad... =S

I can't wait to hear his live tonight though! Can hear his beautiful voice over all the autotune. =]

and on a sidenote... is it bad that I love this so much more than Lucifer? XD I really really want to buy this album!!! I need the CD!!!

OMG!!! I seriously want to watch this when it comes out!!! Wang leehorn AND Crystal Liu!!! Two really good actors together. =] And Wang leehorn's director debut. It looks really good already. And funny. XD The outrageous costume changes XD Wang leehorn looking like Mr Sharp. XD hahahahaz

And while we're on the topic... GOD DAMN YOU MELBOURNE PUBLIC TRANSPORT!!! A-BLOODY-GAIN!!! Seriously. I was so lucky that I forgot the bus came at 9:23 instead of 9:05 or something. I reached the bus stop, look at the timetable, and I have 20 more minutes to go... =.= sigh... but then the bus comes at 9:10. No biggy right? But imagine my surprise when the bus starts leaving straight away. GOD I was lucky. FISDOJFDOSIFJ
