Be sure to Zoom in for our 7:00PM CRS session this week to hear Marcia, Chris and Rebecca sing! Our brave friends have volunteered to participate in this virtual masterclass with Kyle's colleague from Regis and voice instructor Nicole London. Pour yourself a drink, grab a piece of scratch paper and pull up a chair...the coaching Nicole will do with Marcia, Chris and Rebecca is sure to provide some tips and tools for all of us singers!

8.00 PM Virtual Rehearsal Thanks, again, to all who have raised their hand to participate in our first ever CRS Virtual Choir Project! We had a lot of fun in our first virtual Let It Snow rehearsal a few weeks ago...not as awkward as you might think. Grab your music and a pencil and join for this week's 8:00PM virtual rehearsal. Promise it will be fun...and if all else fails (unlike rehearsal in person), if you Kyle starts to annoy you, you can simply turn the screen off!

Time flies when you are having a ball...a global pandemic?  I hope this email finds you safe, healthy and surviving the craziness of the world.

Some quick clarification...

...yes, CRS still exists

...yes, Tad & Madeline are still part of our artistic staff

...yes, you are still stuck with Kyle

...yes, our marvelous Board of Directors is still meeting, discerning, leading

...yes, we will have opportunities to engage as a choir over the next 'season'

As we solidify plans for the coming year we are hoping to gather some feedback via the following Google survey.  The survey is not anonymous as we are in need of some personal answers...the responses will not be shared outside of the Board team.  If you feel uncomfortable answering questions via the survey I am happy to chat via Zoom or phone.  That said, be honest...our planning for the upcoming season is heavily dependent on your musical desires and needs as well as your personal sentiments around the state of the virus.

We are seeking responses by Monday, August 24th so we can prepare the information collected for our August Board meeting.

Hi CRS, how are you all doing this week?

Kyle has a message for you:

Choir, thanks for a great rehearsal last Thursday.  I am grateful for all of the hard work you are pouring into the Lauridsen and the Gjeilo.  I am especially excited about the rising consistency around choral tone and phrasing (syllabic stress) in the Lauridsen.  I would encourage you to focus your efforts outside of rehearsal on movement II (we did not get to this movement last week) as well as continued memorization on III and V.  Many thanks.  See everyone on Thursday.  -Kyle

1. Tickets On Sale This Week – New Pricing 

We will begin selling tickets at rehearsal this week and will continue at every rehearsal through the concert. Based on some feedback we got from the choir last year, we’ve modified our pricing structure for our large-scale March collaboration. The advance ticket prices for this concert are below:

Adults – $18

Seniors (65+) – $15

Youth (10-17) – $15

Child (under 10) – $0

2. Recording Pre-Orders – A New Option!

In addition to offering a CD recording of our March concert, our new recording vendor gives us the option to sell Digital mp3 versions of the album. So, if you choose to purchase a recording, you can choose one of two options:

CD – $15

Digital Only – $10

Please note that both versions will be delivered 4-6 weeks AFTER the concert.

3. Page Turner for Tad

We are looking for a page turner for Tad for our March dress rehearsal and concert. The ability to read music is strongly preferred. Ideally, we’d love to have the same person for both dates, but please let me know if you have someone who is interested even if they can only commit to one of the dates listed below:

March 12, 6pm-10pm

March 13, 6pm-10pm

1. From Mary about advertising in the March concert program:    If you didn’t make the deadline to purchase advertising for the season back in December, you can still include an ad in the March concert program. Please click on the link here or pick up a paper copy during rehearsal.          Remember, ads aren’t only used to promote businesses. You could purchase a spot to say “congratulations on your engagement, baby, anniversary, etc.” You could also include a memoriam or a shout out to someone special! Deadline for form, ad graphic and money is Thursday, March 6th by end of rehearsal. If you have questions, please see Mary Soroka.

2. Would someone who lives near the Thornton area be able to give Cammy a ride home from rehearsal tomorrow? (88th and Washington)   Here is Cammy’s email address: cjmandarino@gmail.com

What is my organization’s unique link?
Amazon Smile CRS

What does my unique link do?
When customers click on your organization’s unique link, they skip the process to search for a charity to support among over 1 million eligible charities. Instead, they’re taken to smile.amazon.com and are automatically asked if they want to support Colorado Repertory Singers.

Can I just tell supporters to search for my charity at smile.amazon.com?
Yes. However, that makes it harder for your supporters to find and select your organization. There are over 1 million eligible charities, and customers may end up picking a different organization during the selection process. Sharing your charity link increases the likelihood that customers will select your charity before they start shopping.

Do my supporters have to click on my charity’s AmazonSmile link every time they shop?
No. Once customers select your organization, you will receive 0.5% of the price of all their eligible smile.amazon.com purchases, regardless of whether they use your unique AmazonSmile link to return to the site. However, we recommend that you ask your supporters to bookmark and use your link so they don’t accidentally shop at www.amazon.com instead of smile.amazon.com.
