In the world of trucking and freight transportation, Super B Trains have become synonymous with Canadian industry due to the country’s widespread use of the design. Dan’s Super B Train (like all B trains) was comprised of two trailers. The first trailer measured around 20 ft. long, while the second trailer was around 30 ft., which resulted in a deck space increase of nearly 30%.

For nearly three decades after Dan’s design, the initial super B train was primarily used in the state of California. However, during the 1970’s, the Super B Train experienced a geographical diaspora and the design begin to spread. It was around this time when the Super B Train reached Canadian provinces like British Columbia, Ontario, and Quebec.

Now, one of the main reason why the B Train was slowly becoming a part of freight transportation in Canada was simply because its design lent itself well to the transportation of lumber. The super B Train design offered more utilization of capacity as well as more stability, which was also favored by the steel transportation industry.

Super B Trains Today Through much regulation and safety implementation, Super B Trains are now standard for transportation within many Canadian industries.
