Natural Crochet Braids (Marley vs Water Wave)

2015-07-19T11:46:00.001-07:00

Hello loves!

I am back with a quick blog post on the lovely Crochet braid trend! I have tried a few different brands of hair but my favorite has to be the freetress Waterwave bulk (it ages beautifully). I feel the major difference between the water wave and Marley hair is the prep time. For first timers. .. The marley hair needs prep time. First the hair needs to be brushed out .. Then you have to perm rod the hair .. then dip it..and I usually wait for it to completely dry before I install it. The water wave hair is ready to go right out of the package. In the pictures below, the dated ones are the Waterwave install and the ones without the dates are Marley hair. Also please note: I only used two packs of the Waterwave .. I used 3-4 packs of Marley hair.

Company:

Unit I purchased:

http://www.lacewigsfront.com/glueless-full-lace-wigs/197-glueless-loose-body-wave-indian-remy-human-hair-full-lace-wig.html

total: $251.00

color #1

20 inches

Cap size medium

Dark brown color

I really like the unit so far, I have washed it and blow dried it and so far it has bounced right back. This unit minimal tangles no shedding yet even after the wash and blow dry. It was definitely worth the money, I am only 4 days in but I love it so far, it has a low luster so it isn’t shiny at all. The unit does have baby hairs in the front, none in the back.

Cutting basic layers

2012-10-12T01:15:00.001-07:00

Let's start out with the hair! Lace closure from queen weave beauty, upart wig made my virgin fantasy hair! Yep.. It's still going strong. Today I decided to give my unit layers. I need something to frame my face. When I'm wearing a unit I usually like to wear it in a longer length until I get tired of it. So today was layer time! I used regular shears. I made sure the unit was bone straight so I could see exactly where I was placing the layers. I cut the layers in the front at around my mid cheek area and I cut a few layers throughout the back. I'm loving her so far. I put a picture on Instagram (memejanielle85)
So I will just add a picture! Check the layers out in my new video! 😘 Coming soon.

Natural nude polish for WOC

2012-08-19T15:32:00.001-07:00

I would first like to say I have been on the hunt for a natural nude polish for WOC. The colors I had been finding would be to light or to dark but this color is perfect. The polish is made by OPI, it's the color San Tan-Tonio. This color will follow me into the next season.

My new peep toe knee high boots!

2010-08-25T15:19:00.001-07:00

Here are my new shoes! They look similar to the Jessica Simpson Decola Boot. But I paid nowhere near that price!

Those are the actual jessica simpson shoes-------->

Jessica simpson had these new peep toe boots on her site.. and I wanted them soo bad but a price tag of $198.00 drove me crazy! So here are the specs on the shoes...

Jessica Simpson Decola Boot

Tall Peep-toe boots

3 3/4" heel

Synthetic Lining

Synthetic outside

Back-zip closure

Can be worn uncuffed over-the-knee

So why spend a fortune when you can save a few dollars?
