Obsesión por el Azul - Blue Obssession

Últimamente tengo obsesión por el azul. Disfruto haciendo siluetas azules sobre blanco y matizando con tinta. Muchas cosas han quedado para tirar pero otras merecen ser colgadas en la pared.

I'm having a kind of "Blue Obsession". I enjoy a lot painting blue silhouettes on white paper and making the details on ink. Most of the paints are discarded but some others deserve to be hung on the wall.

Tengo un cumple pronto y decidir hacer una tarjeta de felicitación .. como no .. azul!!

I have a birthday soon and I decided to paint a birthday card ... as you can see .. also blue!!

Nueva Portada - New Front Page

He estado trabajando en una nueva portada para Facebook. Primero hice el diseño en papel, y me gustó el concepto.

I've been working on a new front page for Facebook. First I drew the design on paper with pen, and I liked the concept.

Luego decidí hacerlo en tela, con tres medios:
Acuarela, hilo y estampado.
Me encanta cómo ha quedado.

Then I decided to make it in fabric, with three media:
Watercolor, thread and stamped.

I love how it looks.

Trocitos de Invierno - Winter Pieces

El otro día salimos a recoger pedacitos de pruebas de invierno: hojas secas, palitos secos, frutos y hojas. Quería probar a dibujar el invierno, me parece muy difícil por la ausencia de mucho colores.

We went out to collect some winter pieces few days ago: dry leaves, dry twigs, fruits and leaves. I wanted to try to draw the winter, it seems very difficult to me due to the lack of much color.

Como sigo aprendiendo cada día y los resultados no son como para colgarlos en una pared lo que intento ahora es pegarlos en cuadernos, de esta manera luego, cuando se escriban esas páginas, tendrán su personal encanto.

As I continue to learn every day and the results are not good enough to hang on a wall now I paste them into notebooks now, so then when you write those pages, it has some charm.

Me encanta especialmente la hoja roja, me encanta hacer muchas veces lo mismo de distintas maneras así veo las diferencias.

Monederos Con Boquilla Pintados a Mano - Coin Purses With Frame

Me ha resultado muy difícil completar estos monederos pero una vez terminados no puedo parar de mirarlos. Me parecen preciosos. He disfrutado como una loca pintando la tela y pensando en futuras ideas para nuevos monederos. Mirad como han quedado.

I have found it very difficult to complete these purses but once I've done them I can not stop looking at them. I find them beautiful. I enjoyed so much painting the fabric and thinking of new ideas for new purses. Look at the result.

El rojo está pintado con bolígrafo resistente al agua y tinta blanca acrílica.

The red is painted with water resistant black pen and acrylic white ink.

El estampado de hojas está pintado con bolígrafo resistente al agua y acuarela. Ambos monederos están forrados con tela de algodón estampada con puntitos. Una monada.

The leaf pattern one is painted with waterproof pen and watercolors. Both purses are lined with cotton fabric printed with dots. Veeery cute.

También me sobró algo de tela pintada y he hecho unos detalles para regalar con los monederos.

I also painted some fabric left over and I've done a few details to make as a gift with the purse.

Estoy deseando hacer nuevos modelos, a ver qué tal salen.

I'm really looking forward developing new models .. let's see how it goes.

Menos es Más - Less is More

Cuando envuelvo un regalo con esmero tengo una premisa ... menos es más. Me encantan los detalles pequeños y los colores suaves. Suelo reciclar papel rústico, marrón o crudo. Estos fueron mis envoltorios estrella estas Navidades.

When I wrap a gift, I have a premise: less is more. I love the little details and soft colors. I usually recycle rustic brown or raw paper. These are my best Christmas wrappings.

Nuevas Pinturas en Acualera - New Watercolor Paintings

Feliz Año Nuevo!!!!. Este año va a ser el gran año. Estoy emocionada con mis nuevas acuarelas Cotman de Winson and Newton. Me las trajo Papá Noel el día 25 y no he parado. Los azules y verdes son maravillosos, disfruto probando nuevas mezclas. Solamente tengo 12 colores pero le estoy cogiendo el aire a estos colores y ya tengo algunos tonos muy majos.

Happy New Year!!!. This is going to be the "Great Year". I'm very excited with my new Cotman watercolors from Winson and Newton. Santa Claus brought them on 25 and have not stopped painting. Blue and green colors are wonderful, I enjoy trying new blends. I only have 12 colors but I'm getting used to these colors and I have already got some very nice tones.

He hecho algunos patrones que utilizaré para tela en un futuro ... ya tengo un proyecto muy bonito en mente.

I made some patterns for fabric I will use in the future ... and I have a very nice project in mind.

También he estado dibujando y pintando Aloe Veras, me gusta muchísimo esa planta. También quería dibujar algunos cactus que tengo en mi terraza, ya me pondré con ello cuando mejore el tiempo y pueda salir a la terraza sin mojarme mucho.

I've also been drawing and painting Aloe Veras, I really like this plant. I also wanted to draw some cactus that I have on my balcony, and I'll get to it when the weather clears and I can get out to the terrace without getting wet a lot.

Y por supuesto ... flores!!!

And of course ... flowers!

Pintando en Tela - Fabric Painting

He estado realmente fuera de juego durante las últimas semanas. Muy liada con el proyecto de las tarjetas solidarias y los diferentes eventos navideños de los niños. Igualmente no he parado de trabajar en nuevas ideas y creaciones pero me ha sido imposible sacar unas fotos decentes.

I've been really out of order in recent weeks. I've been very busy with the charity cards project and the children school events.I have not stopped working on new ideas and creations but I found it impossible to take decent photos.

Lo último en lo que he estado trabajando ha sido la pintura sobre tela. Tengo tela de algodón vieja y he estado experimentando un poco con el bolígrafo y la acuarela así como el estampado en tinta. He aprendido mucho, no todo ha salido bien, pero me ha dado muchas ideas nuevas que pronto pondré en marcha.

The last thing I've been working has been fabric painting. I have old cotton fabric and have been experimenting a bit with the pen and watercolor and ink stamping. I learned a lot, not everything has gone well, but it has given me many new ideas that I will be working on it soon.

Hice algunos pañuelos que no salieron bien del todo pero tampoco quedaron mal. Me gusta especialmente el de flores rojas.

I made some handkerchiefs that did not go well at all but were not bad. I especially like the red flowers.

Me gustó especialmente jugar con acuarela y descubrir que resisten al lavado .. incluso las más baratas. He estado pensando agunas utilidades para estas pinturas, en breve me pondré con este proyecto.

I especially enjoyed playing with watercolor and I discovered that resist washing .. even the cheapest ones. I've been thinking in how to use these paintings, soon I'll get to this project.

Estos días estoy liadísima con las tarjetas de Navidad y el proyecto solidario así que no me veréis publicar demasiado pero no quería dejar de enseñaros este precioso estuche que me he hecho para las clases de lenguaje musical. Ha quedado genial con la tela Japonesa que os enseñé hace unas semanas.

I'm very busy with the charity project and the Christmas cards these days. I'm not publishing many posts but I wanted to share with you this lovely pencil case I made for my music classes. I think the Japanese fabric I shown you few weeks ago looks great on it.

Todo El Cielo Para Mamá - The Whole Sky for Mum

Debería cubrir a mi madre de regalos con la cantidad de cosas bonitas que hago y, sin embargo, solamente le hago los regalos de rigor .. ¡pero que rácana soy!. Esta semana completa se la he dedicado a un proyecto para mi madre ... "porque ella lo vale". Y aquí está. Esta lluvia que tanto me gusta, decidí que fuera para mamá, sin motivo alguno. Nada de cumples, Día de la Madre o Navidades.

I should give plenty of presents to my mother as I make many beautiful things but, I just do the expected presents. What slacker I am!. I have is spent this week completely on this project ... "Because she's worth it." And here it is. This beautiful rain will be for mom, no reason. Not birthday reason or Mother's Day or Christmas.

Todo está hecho a mano. Estampado con tinta y bordados los bordes. Cosido y puntilla a mano.

Everything is handmade. Stamping with ink and embroidered edges. Hand Sewn and crocheted around.

Me encanta el resultado, lo mejor es que salí a comprar un perfume y perfumé la labor y las piedras para que todos los sentidos tuvieran su parte.

I love the result. The best part is I went to buy a perfume and I perfumed the stones and the fabric so all the senses have their part.

Pantuflas 100% Recicladas - 100% Recycled Slippers

Simplemente mágico. Tela de unas sábanas viejas hechas trenza, un poco de tela de algodón para envolver esta suela y crochet para el resto ... esto son unas pantuflas recicladas con muuucha magia y encanto. Primero el resultado, luego te cuento como se hicieron en detalle.

Simply magic!. Old bedding fabric which has been braided, some cotton fabric for covering this sole and a just crochet for the rest of this creation ... these are a recycled slippers with a lot of magic and charm. First I will show the result, then I will tell you in detail how they were done.

Todo empieza cuando quiero reciclar unas sábanas viejas y creo que puedo hacer unas plantillas así;

Everything starts when I want to recycle an old fabric from bedding and I think I can do a kind of sole like this:

Trenzando la tela con forma de plantilla y luego la forro en tela.

Braiding some old fabric as sole shape and then covering it on cotton fabric.

La plantilla queda genial y la coso alrededor para poger enganchar el crochet desde allí.

The sole result is great so I manually sew it around so I can pick the crochet from there.

Haciendo crochet todo alrededor con una lana de mas de 12 años le queda perfecto a este par de pantuflas. Los colores son distintos porque me parece muy original al ser material reciclado. Me gusta no cumplir las reglas a veces.

Then, crocheting all around with 12 years old wool seems to result perfect for this pair of sleepers.I've used different colors on each slipper because I find it original on recycled material. I like not following rules all the time.

Está todo hecho a mano, si te fijas en la suela se ven las puntadas .

All handmade, if you look at the sole you can see the stitches.

Puestas son increíblemente cómodas y calentitas. Estoy emocionada el invierno que me espera con mis pantuflas nuevas.

If I put them on I can see the heaven. They are incredibly confortable and warm.

No pongo patrón porque es imposible debido a que cada pie es distinto. Ha sido una labor bastante creativa e intuitiva para que quedaran ambas pantuflas igual.

I can not show the pattern because each person feet is different so it's impossible to make a pattern. This project has been a very creative and intuitive one as I had to make both slippers on the same way without any pattern.

Mis Nuevas Telas Echino - My New Echino Fabrics

¡Me han llegado mis nuevas telas!, ¡qué emoción!. Son telas Japonesas traídas de Hong Kong del diseñador japonés Echino. Son preciosas. Voy a hacer bolsos, faldas, monederos, cuadernos ... joooolines que ganas de crear y crear!

I've received my new fabrics!! .. It's exciting!. They are Japanese fabrics from Echino (Japanese designer). They are really nice. I'm going to create bags, skirts, purses, pocketbooks .... yesssss, I'm really looking forward working on this project!.

Bocetos en el Cuaderno Rivadavia - Rivadavia Sketchbook

Experimento y experimento. Muchas cosas no salen y otras, bueno, quedan curiosas. Me gusta probar cosas nuevas, por ejemplo, acuarela con bolígrafo. Esta combinación me encanta. Algunos dibujos/bocetos quedan genial.

I experiment new things all the time. Sometimes the result is bad and, well, some other it's kind of nice. I love trying new techniques, as example, watercolor and pen. I love this combination. Some drawings look great.

He intentado solamente acuarelas pero no termino que cogerle el aire, igualmente lo sigo intentando.
I tried also just watercolors but I think I don't manage to get a nice paint. Anyway, I keep trying.

También intento acuarelas y tinta. Estampar con sellos es una forma fácil de completar un fondo de acuarelas.
I also try watercolors and ink. Stamping is easy way to complete a watercolor background.

Aquí otra combinación muy agradecida. Estampado y bolígrafo. Utilizando diversos colores se pueden conseguir agradables contrastes.
Here there is another nice combination. Stamping and pen. Using different colores you can get a lovely contrast.

También estoy empezando a usar ceras Manley con acuarela, tanto antes como después de la aplicación. Así veo como reacciona el papel y el color.

I'm starting using Manley crayons with watercolors recently, I used after and before applying the watercolor, so I can see how the color and paper behaves.

Y .... y .... el gran descubrimiento ... simplemente jugar con bolígrafos!! .. me encanta como queda, tan, tan fino y bonito.
And ... and ... and .. the new big discovery ... just play with pen!! I love the result, so, so nice.

Estas nubes estilo japonés lo usan todo .. acuarelas, estampado, bolígrafo ... mira que bonito queda.
These japanese clouds are made of "everything" .. watercolors, stamping and pen .. look at the result. Amazing.

Seguiré probando cosas nuevas, luego las tarjetas quedan preciosas con estas nuevas técnicas. Ya os enseñaré las nuevas tarjetas y etiquetas. En breve más por ver.

Cajas de Regalo Recicladas ... Monísimas! - Recicled Gift Boxes ... so cute!

Tenía muchas ganas de hacer algún proyecto de reciclaje con materiales que todo el mundo tuviera a su alcance. Muchas veces resulta complicado encontrar algo bonito, muy personalizable y barato. Lo más barato es gratis y me pregunté si era posible. Bueno, yo creo que casi, casi. Si usas rollos de cocina (o papel higiénico), acuarelas, temperas o cualquier pintura o rotulador, este proyecto te sale zero patatero .. ¡genial!

I was looking forward to start a recycling project using materials who could be accessible for everybody. Sometimes is complicated to find a nice, customizable and cheap object for making a craft. The cheapest is free and I wonder if it was possible a free craft project. I think I did it, if you use kitchen paper roll (or just rolling paper) and you have a home whatever kind of paints (watercolors, crayons, etc), this project will cost you nothing .. great!!

Primero de todo, el resultado ... ¡¡me encanta!!

First of all, the result .. I love it!

Ahora los pasos a seguir .. es muy muy muy fácil. Aquí presentamos los materiales que necesitamos.

Now, the steps to follow ... it's veeeery easy. Here we show the required materials.

Primero cortamos los rollos de cocina si vamos a hacer cajitas pequeñas, lo los dejamos tal cual si las vamos a hacer grandes.

First of all, we will have to cut the paper rolls if we are going to make small gift boxes, or we leave them like that if we are going to make big boxes.

Hora vamos a recondear los extremos así quedan mas bonitos cuando los doblamos para cerrar la caja. Para redondear los border utilizamos un vaso pequeño para marcar y luego lo recortas, como se indica en la foto.

Now, make the rounded extremes, so when we fold them to close the box they look nicer. For rounding the extremes we can use a small glass as it's shown on picture below.

Ahora se pueden doblar y pintar como se muestra en la foto de abajo.

Now we can folder and paint them as shown below.

Puedes decorarla a tu gusto, yo estampé las mías con nuves y lluvia.

You can customize you box. I stamped my boxes with nice clouds and rain.

El resultado es rústico y original. Me gusta muchísimo. Mirad esta con aspecto Japonés.

The result is old fashion and original. I love it. Look this other box on Japanese style.

Tarjetas de Otoño - Autumn Cards

Si es que lo estaba deseando. Deseando que llegara el otoño, ponerme mis pantuflas, el pantalón de franela y sacar .. todo mi material de estampado y ponerme como una loca a hacer tarjetas !!

I was really looking forward it. Looking forward fall arrives and put my sleepers on, flannel pants and take out all .. my stamping material and make cards as as crazy mad woman!!

Me gusta tejer, me gusta coser y me encanta dibujar ... pero lo de esculpir y sacar las acuarelas me vuelve loca. Lo saco todo en la mesa mas grande de la casa y mi marido se pone a morir, jejejeje.

I like to knit , I like to sew and I love to draw but stamp carving, painting with watercolors is a great pleasure for me. I put the material all over the bigest table of my house and my husband gets mad .. hahahahha.

Bueno, no me enrollo, esto es lo que llevo hecho hasta el momento, pero no he terminado, seguro que da para un segundo post. Algunas tarjetas las he dejado sueltas para regalar, otras las he pegado en mi cuaderno Rivadavia. ¡Lo he pasado en grande!

I'm stopping writing, better to see what I've done until now. But I'm not done, I'm sure a second post will arrive soon. Some cards are pasted to the Rivadavia notebook, some others I have left loose to give away. I've really had a great time!!

Lo mejor de todo es que he comprado tinta barata y mala mala en el chino (marca Horse) pero me ha servido para hacer múltiples pruebas. Igualmente me encanta el aire retro de la tinta mala sobre papel malo, queda con poca definición pero me parece que tiene un aire antiguo.

The best thing of all this work is I bought cheap and veeery bad ink (Horse brand) but it allowed me to make multiple tests. Anyway, I love the retro look resulting of bad ink and bad paper, it does not look high definition but it looks like antique look.

Mitones de Crochet - Crochet Fingerless Gloves

Me ha costado mucho sacar este post adelante y estoy muy contenta con el resultado. Me han gustado siempre esos guantes de novia que enganchan al dedo corazón y que no tienen dedos y quería hacer algo parecido. Yo con mi "monotema" violonchelo pensé "que sexy quedaría tocar el chelo con esos guantecitos" .. bueno ahí van los mitones, cubremanos, guantes, o como quiera que se llame esta prenda tan linda.

It's been very hard to publish this post and I'm very happy with result. I've always loved those bridal gloves which are hooked on the middle finger and I wanted to knit something similar. As I always think about the cello theme I though "it would be very sexy playing cello with those fingerless gloves" .. well, and here it goes those gloves, fingerless globes or whatever name this lovely cloth should have.

Los mitones están hechos con perlé negro a punto bajo con forma de triángulo. Los cordones y el anillo está hecho como parte del borde. O sea, bordeamos hasta las puntas y luego sacamos los cordones laterales o el cordón/anillo que va al dedo corazón. Las explicaciones las pongo al final.

The fingerless gloves are made of pearl cotton on a triangle shape in single crochet. The cords are done as part of the border. We crochet around as a border until each peak, then we make the cord. The ring part is also done as a cord but we join it on the peak to make the hole it will hook the middle finger. The explanations will be shown at the end.

Una vez que has hecho la base triangular puedes poner cualquier decoracíón o dejarlo liso. Yo puse unos círculos con una cuenta de madera. Y en los cordones puse mas cuentas para darle caída. ¡Queda genial!

Once the triangled base is finished you can decorate it as you like or leave it like that ... as you wish!. I sewed some circles with a wood bead. I've put some more beads on the cord ends. It looks great!!

Bien, bien, ahora vamos a lo práctico .. ¿como puedo hacerme unos? Aquí te dejo las instrucciones:

Well, well, now the practical part .. how can I make my gloves? here you have the instructions:

Se empieza la labor con cadeneta de 3 puntos. La base triangular tiene 16 lineas o vueltas. Todo se hace en punto bajo y siempre se añade 1 punto al principio y al final de la vuelta en todas las vueltas.

Cuando se termina el triángulo se bordea el mismo con dos puntos bajos y dos puntos altos, cuando se llegue a las esquinas se hacen los cordones (30 puntos) y el anillo que va al dedo (20 puntos).

Mira el patrón porque el borde necesita corte de hilo y pongo como se comienza la primera y la segunda vez.

Starts with simple chain of 3 stitches. The triangle is done all in base simple crochet and you should add one stitch at the begining and at the end of each line. Note the triangle has 16 lines. When the triangle is done you need to do the border: 2 single and 2 double crochet. Note you have to do the cords of 30 stitches each and the ring part with 20 stitches.

Violonchelo Estampado - Cello Stamped

El otro día en clase de Violonchelo de Nahuel se me ocurrió que quedaría preciosa una partitura con un sello de cello. Pasé rato largo la semana pasada diseñando un violochelo bonito y orginal.

A new idea came to my mind the other day on Nahuel's cello class: a cello stamp on a music score. I spend long time last week designing an original cello.

Este sello lo quería regalar pero primero tengo que hacer una caijta bonita para el regalo.

I would like to give this stamp as present but I need to make a beautiful present box.

Me encanta como ha quedado. ¿Se os ocurre instrumento más bonito para estampar?

I love the result. Would you think any other instrument more beautiful than cello?

He vuelto a esculpir sellos, esta vez un pequeño corazón y una flor. No me gusta tanto la nueva placa de goma, se rompe fácilmente, pero el resultado es rústico, no queda nada mal. Estos son mis nuevos sellos.

I've starting carving stamps again, this time a little heart and a flower. I don't like that much the new rubber sheet, it gets broken easily, but the stamping looks like old, it's not that bad. These are my new rubber stamps.

Tengo un cumpleaños muy especial pronto y he estado haciendo la tarjeta de felicitación. Por fin he estrenado mi washi tape, y creo que ha quedado precioso.

I have a birthday soon and I've been doing a the birthday card. I've finally used my wahi tape and I think the result is great.

Tinta y Acuarelas - Ink and Watercolors

Estos días he estado jugando con acuarelas y tinta. La verdad que no se me ha dado muy bien, pero claro, teniendo en cuenta que no he pintado con pincel seriamente en mi vida, pues bueno, no nos vamos a quejar.

I've been working with watercolors and ink these days. It didn't go very well really but taking into account I've never painted seriously in my live, well, I can not complain.

El problema que tiene la acuarela (y la tinta, claro) es que cualquier error se paga con una hoja nueva, y las de acuarela no son precisamente baratas, así que decidí recortar cada lámina en trozos más pequeños para ir probando y no desperdiciar tanto papel. El resultado ha sido un montón de tarjetas con diferentes motivos donde hay múltiples errores pero hay cosas que me han gustado y quería conservar. Yo no mantengo las cosas que no uso, no tengo espacio en casa, pero me daba pena tirarlo así que creé el .... "Collage de los Fracasos" ... me encanta el nombre, me encanta. El Collage de los Fracasos no es otra cosa que una mezcla de lo mejor de lo peor, así tenemos una grotesca creación que deja un poco de nostalgia porque no es lo suficientemente buena, pero tampoco quiere uno deshacerse de ella.

The issue I've found in painting with watercolor (and ink, of course) is any mistake is payed with a new paper sheet and, watercolor specific paper is quite expensive, so I decided to crop every sheet in smaller pieces, like small cards so I didn't waste so much paper. The result many painted different cards where you can see many mistakes but some other nice details and I didnt want to put into the basket.

In order to keep these test paintings I decided to create the "Failures Collage". This is a kind best of the worse mix.

Aquí va mi grotesco "Collage de los Fracasos", es superlativo en color y forma, pero tiene el encanto de lo feo.

There it's goes my "Failures Collage, it's color and shape very superlative and it has the charm of ugly things.

Por otra parte, lo que más me gusta de lo que he estado trabajando es el siguiente pintura que hice en mi cuaderno Rivadavia.

On other hand, this is my best painting so far in my Rivadavia artbook.

No es de mucha calidad pero la composición es bonita, me gusta.

En breve más tinta, estoy de nuevo liada con sellos y he conseguido resultados muy lindos.

Este verano fuinos a ver Monsters University de Pixar y al principio, antes de empezar la peli, pusieron el nuevo corto de Pixar: The Blue Umbrella. A Nahuel le encantó, estaba alucinado con la idea de que las cosas tienen vida y que no nos hemos fijado lo suficiente como para ver que hay "caritas" por donde vayamos.

We went to watch Mosters University to the cinema this summer. At the begining of the movie they played the pixar short film The Blue Umbrella. Nahuel was excited with this short movie, he was enchanted by the idea of everything around could be alive and we haven't stopped the time enough to see those faces on the objects.

Me preguntó en el cine cómo era posible que en la calle hubiera tantas cosas con caras, con ojos y sonrisas. Le dije que el mundo está lleno de sonrisas, solamente hay que buscarlas. Y eso hicimos, Nahuel no olvida, cuando algo le gusta o se propone algo, lo termina o lo termina. Así que hicimos un concurso de "Smile Hunting", búsqueda de sonrisas por la casa, tres jugadores con tres cámaras: Dante, Nahuel y Yo. Ganó Nahuel, encontró muchísimas, aunque de dudosa calidad ... pero quién soy yo para juzgar si eran de calidad o no, lo que pasa en la cabeza de un niño es único.

Nahuel asked me in the cinema how that was possible, too many things with eyes, smiles and faces. I explained him the world is full of smiles, we just have to search them, hunt them. And that's what we did, Nahuel never forgets, when he loves something or he comes up with something ... he DOES finish it. So we started the "Smile Hunting" contest, we had to hunt smiles all over the house. Three participants, three photo cameras: Dante, Nahuel and me. Nahuel won, of course, he found many faces at the house, some of them not too good but .. who has authorize me to say what's good or not in this situation.

Aquí os dejo las mejores, me parece un ejercicio estupendo, ¿os habéis parado a ver vuestra casa en detalle?

Sellos Artesanales Personalizados - Craft Stamps (DIY)

Lo he disfrutado mucho, es un vicio. Hice el pedido de planchas de vinilo (o goma, da igual) y las herramientas de carvado, y desde que lo he recibido no he parado de hacer sellos .. es genial!!

I've enjoyed it a lot, I can not stop stamping. I've ordered some rubber sheet for stamping and the carving tools ... since I've received I haven't stopped carving!!

Aquí os dejo un DIY (tutorial) de cómo hacer carvado de sellos desde cero, es muy fácil.

Here you have a DIY about how to do rubber carving for stamping, it's really easy.

Qué necesitamos (al final de este post os propongo algunos lugares donde podéis comprar el material):

1. Herramientas de carvado con gubias.

2. Plancha de goma o vinilo.

3. Tinta para estampación.

4. Lápiz.

5. Papel vegetal o poco poroso.

What do we need (you have some shopping suggestions at the end of this post):

1. Carving tools.

2. Rubber sheet

3. Stamping ink.

4. Pencil.

6. Grease-proof paper.

Como lo hacemos:

Primero dibujamos el diseño que queremos transferir al sello, se puede hacer en papel vegetal o en otro papel que sea poco poroso. El caso es el lápiz se pueda transferir luego a la plancha de goma.

How do we do it:

First of all we have to draw the design we want to stamp to. You can do it in grease-proof paper or any other paper where the graphite is not absorber and it can be transferred to the rubber.

Se transfiere el diseño a la plancha de goma con la presión de la parte trasera de un bolígrafo o rotulador. El caso es presionar para que se copie el diseño.

Press the paper with the back side of a pen or marker until design is transferred to the rubber as shown below.

Ahora se hace el carvado, primero de la silueta, con la gubia de pico más fino.

Now you can carve the shape with the narrowest gouger.

Luego se hace el carvado de la parte externa o las zonas que no se tintarán en el sello. En este caso se usan las gubias más gruesas.

Then it's time for the outside part of the rubber. You use the widest gouge.

Revisar bien que quede homogéneo porque al presionar el la goma en el sellado final alguna parte puede estamparse si no está bien carvada. El resultado es el que sigue:

Check carefully the carved part is made uniform, otherwise, when it's stamped, some external parts can be printed.

Y por fin hacemos la prueba con la tinta .. queda precioso!!.

And finally, the ink test and the result .. lovely!!

Hay infinitas posibilidades ... es importante que sean bloques compactos, sin elementos muy separados. Además, es mejor eliminar todos los bordes porque, en el estampado, siempre se escapan las zonas carvadas si son extensas.

There are many options ... it's important to make compact blocks without very isolated elements. Also, it's important to remove the borders, it could be printed if the border is very wide.

Otra recomendación es hacer elementos separados, por ejemplo, es mejor hacer un tronco y una hoja que hacer una árbol completo. De esa manera se estampa el tronco y múltiples hojas de manera separada.

Other recommendation is develop the stamps separately, element by element. As example, instead of carving a tree, carve the trunk and the leaves, you save time and there won't be two identical trees!.

Mochila de Tela - Fabric Backpack

¡Tachhannn!. Así quedó la mochila de mi peque. Empieza el cole la semana que viene y necesita una bolsita/mochila para llevar el almuerzo. Ayer publiqué el diseño del Dino que se ocurrió de madrugada y ha quedado monísimo en la mochila. Me he esmerado en que quede lo más infantil posible, de hecho el nombre bordado está escrito como lo haría un niño, me encanta el resultado.

El detalle del Dino lo muestro a continuación.

La mochila puedes hacerla siguiendo las instrucciones del link, el Dino está pintado con pintura de tela y el nombre está bordado con cadeneta. La tela es el bajo cortado de unas cortinas de IKEA, así que me ha salido barato barato.

Por cierto, me llegó el pedido que hice para mi nuevo proyecto. Estoy suuuuper emocionada porque es la primera vez que hago esto. Mirad:

Es todo el material que necesito para hacer cavado de sellos .. guay!! . Además pedí Washi Tape, no me pude resistir mas, he pedido tres rollitos de motivos diferentes.

Ahora pensar y pensar y pensar a ver que puedo hacer realmente bonito original y sin comprar nada mas.

¡Tachhannn!. Here it my kid's backpack. He starts school next week and he needs a small lunch backpack. I published the Dino I designed yesterday and I think the result is great. I've made my best to make sure the result is very "non profesional" so it has a "made by kid" aspect. As example, the name, it looks like it was written by a child.

You can do the backpack following instructions in link. The Dino is painted with fabric paint, the name is embroider and the fabric is from IKEA curtains.

Ive made an order for stamping and I received it today. Also I ordered some Washi Tape, yuppiiii.
I'm very excited with my next project, I plan to use stamps for very first time but not sure how or where, I will think about it next days.

Zentangle, Tangling o Deja Volar Tu Imaginación

Éste es otro término nuevo que han inventado para los clásicos dibujos de "No aguanto más esta clase de historia, es un peñazo infernal", aquellos dibujos que empiezan por un corazón o una flor y acaba siendo una página entera de divage absoluto.

Inicialmente era "Tangling" y recientemente, como en teoría se usa para relajarse, Zen-tangling o hacer "Zentangle". Tangle significa enredo en inglés así que la técnica se refiere a relajarse dibujando libremente, sin reglas ni patrones predefinidos. Curiosamente veo algunas páginas en las que sí definen patrones, no se, creo que se debe a la necesidad que tiene la gente de aprender cierta técnica para asegurarse que lo hace bien. Yo prefiero descubrirlo libremente así resulta más espontáneo.

Éste le terminé el otro día, no os preocupéis, no me fumé nada, es que salió así de raro. Quiero hacer otro un poco más clásico en plan florecitas y hojas cuando vuelva a coger el bolígrafo. Veremos qué tal sale.

Esta mañana me he despertado a las cuatro de la mañana y me lié con la vuelta al cole del pequeño. Empieza Infantil 3 años y quería hacerle una bolsita para el almuerzo. Como le encantan los dinosaurios quería pintarle uno en la bolsa. He estado diseñando uno muy gracioso:

Ahora me queda hacer la bolsa y pintarle el Dino, ya enseñaré que tal queda.

Zentangle is another new term invented for the tipical " I can not stand any more this history class" situation. That one which you start drawing a small flower and it ends with a full drawn page.

Initially was called "Tangling" and now, as it's supposed to be relaxing, it's called Zen-Tangling or Doing Zentangle.

There are some web pages in which are naming and showing predefined patterns, and it's strange, since this tecnique is based on absolute no predefined patterns neither rules, but anyway, I think it's part of human nature, we need to know the rules to make sure we are doing properly. I prefer not following any rule so it looks more spontaneous.

I've finished the following Zentangle two days ago, please don't panic, I didn't smoke anything ilegal, just simply came out like that. I would like to do another one in future, more classic, about flowers and leaves. We will see how it goes.

This morning I couldn't sleep any more at 4 am so I started a Dino design for a bag I would like to make to my youngest son. It's back to school and he is starting this year. I plan to sew a small bag for brunch and I would like to paint a Dino on it. This is the design I manage to finish. Now I need to finish the bag and paint the Dino, let's see how it goes.

Organizador de Agujas Ganchillo - Crochet Needle Organizer

Si, si, ya se que dije que el organizador de agujas era un rollo, poco útil y poco original pero al final con la cantidad de trapillo que reciclé hace un par de semanas esto es lo que he podido hacer de momento. Me he complicado bastaste la vida con este trapillo porque tenía poco material de cada color, pero creo que el resultado es estupendo. Me gustan mucho los colores y el hecho de que lo único que he comprado, y no por necesidad si no por puro capricho, ha sido el hilo de algodón que une las trenzas de trapillo.

Bueno, vamos por partes. Primero, el resultado. Una monada, me encanta, es precioso.

Ahora por dentro .. ¡¡me gusta todavía mas!!

Ahora la pregunta .. ¿pero como hicimos esto?, con muuucho material reciclado. El interior es la pierna de un pantalón vaquero viejo. La parte externa es trapillo reciclado hecho trencitas como muestro abajo, y luego unido con hilo de algodón. Como se ve se pasa el hilo por las trenzas uno por arriba y el siguiente por abajo.

Cuando tenemos todas las trenzas tejidas, se unen los extremos con la máquina de coser, o se cose a mano.

Luego toca el interior. La parte central, donde van las agujas lo he cosido a máquina, así no queda torcido. El resto está cosido a mano, porque a máquina es complicado llegar a todos los sitios.

El detalle de la cuerda que sujeta el organizador de agujas. He hecho un ojal a mano, me encanta este detalle. He usado un color más claro para que resalte.

Se pueden utilizar multitud de combinaciones de colores de trapillo y de tela interior. He disfrutado mucho haciéndolo y aún me ha sobrado trapillo para otro apaño.

Yessss, I know I mentioned the needle organizer is not very cool neither original option but finally, when I reviewed how much T-shirt Yarn I had I discovered I didn't have much of each color so I had to do something very small. I've complicated myself a lot with this material but I think the result is quite good. I love the colors and the only thing I've bought (I didn't need it really, I just wanted to buy it ;-) ) is the cotton yarn that I used to join the braids.

The first photos are the result, outside and inside, I love it.

The question is .. how did I do it? The answer is .. with a lot of recycled material: old jeans and T-shirt Yarn. The t-shirt yarn is braided and it's joined with the cotton yarn. After that you can use the sewing machine on the braid extremes and those parts where the needles are put (so the result is straight). The rest of the fabric is sewed manually.

The braid for tighting the organizer is crossing the fabric so I've done a buttonhole manually, I love this touch in a lighter color.

You can use many color T-shirt and fabric combinations. I've enjoyed a lot making this creation, and I have to say I still have some more t-shirt after this.

Mi Cuaderno Rivadavia.

Os presento mi nuevo cuaderno. Es un clásico cuaderno Rivadavia. Aquí, en España, no se conoce ni se comercializa esta marca, es una marca de papel Argentina. Le encargué un montón de cuadernos a mi suegra para los niños y de paso le pedí también de papel blanco para mi.

El papel del cuaderno tiene la marca impresa en el centro, entre las dos páginas, me encanta el detalle, queda precioso.

Soy adicta a los productos de papelería (se que no es nada raro, la mayoría de mujeres tenemos este pequeño vicio) pero en especial a los cuadernos, adoro los cuadernos y no los gasto al ritmo que los compro o me los regalan así que tengo un stock de cuadernos en mi mesita de noche que debo consumir, porque .. porque .... necesito espacio para comprar nuevos cuadernos!!!.

Bueno, este es el estampado con el que he estado experimentando, me encanta, es medio salvaje, medio femenino, me gusta mucho, tiene mucha fuerza y posibilidades.

Pero mirar que bonito queda en color ... es incluso mas bonito.

Me encanta el resultado, no se si lo pintaré en algún bolso o alguna camiseta. De momento queda en mi Memo Art book.

Let me introduce you my new book Rivadavia. Here, in Spain, it's a unknown brand as it's an Argentine one. I asked my mother in law to bring me some rivadavia note books from Argentine for my kids and I asked her also some blank paper ones just for myself. I love them, they have a printed brand in the middle of the book, in one of the pages, I love that precious touch.

These are the new patterns I've been working on, I love them, it's kind of wild and feminine, I love it. When I colored, I love it even more.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them, maybe paint a hand bag or a T-.shirt, we will see what I use them for, but, in the meantime, here they are in my Memo Art Book.
