Review: Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Drop

I have been using the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Drop for a long time. You can purchase it now at Dot Dot Skin. This is a low-irritant vitamin C serum that contains 5% vitamin C (L-Ascorbic acid) inside. It is created with stabilised pure Vitamin C to treat dead skin cells, dull skin tone and enlarged pores. This will help to lighten hyper-pigmentation, lighten dark marks from acne and to brighten your skin. It is free of alcohol and is fully vegan. I have been using this for many months.

PACKAGING
It comes in a very simple clean packaging but with a useful pump. I normally store this in the fridge so it doesn't oxidise that quick. It should be white when you just open the serum.

TEXTURE
It has a light formula, it is not sticky, it sinks in fast. It can sting a little bit if you have never tried vitamin C before, for me it was alright. It stung at the beginning, but if you use it every single day, your skin will get used to it. It doesn't really have a scent to it, there is no fragrance inside.

MY OPNION
This Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Drop does help fading dark marks from acne. It is slightly visible after using it for 6 months, but you should not expect results after 1-2 months. This can take at least half year to a year until you see a bit of results, keep on using it every single day.

Hi All! My apologies for not being active here. It really has been a while that I have posted my last blogpost. As a lot of you already know, I have been more active on my instagram @Sokobeauty, click on that link if you haven't followed me there yet.

I would love to announce that I started a new journey, called Sokobeauty. I wanted to be more focused on beauty, especially Korean beauty, which is why it's called Sokobeauty (South Korean beauty). To spread the word about K-beauty even more, I have created a Youtube account. Feel free to subscribe via this link. I will be sharing reviews, favourites, unboxings and way more (a lot of K-beauty).

My very first vlog is up and an unboxing video, I have linked them down below so you can check it out! I will be less active here, because I would like to focus on those two platforms more (instagram and youtube). However, that doesn't mean I won't come back! Cutting my hair at Salon B in Utrecht

Hi lovelies! It has been a while since my previous blogpost, I had a short break from blogging. Follow me on instagram @sokobeauty where I update and post every single day. Today I am sharing my new haircut! I recently went to Salon B in Utrecht and the talented hairdresser Iris van der Heijden cut my hair. My hair was extremely long and damaged due to curling every day and due to dyeing so a haircut and a hair treatment was must needed.

It was my first time in this salon and I was amazed how well decorated and how big it was there. It was spacious, clean and friendly service and staff.

THE PROCESS
I sat down with Iris so she could get to know me a bit and my hair and what my habits are with my hair. As stated before, my hair was damaged and extremely long, so I needed a haircut. My other concern is volume - because my hair was so long, it started to feel heavy and it was hard to create volume. She had a great solution for it by adding more short layers in between to create more volume and without feeling it heavy. Also she gave me an Olaplex hair treatment which made my hair extremely nourished (but not greasy/heavy feeling), and omg my hair was SHINING and felt so soft! The picture below was after the Olaplex treatment. It's shining!

BEFORE AND AFTER
Here you can see the before and after pictures. I didn't dye my hair this time, only did the Olaplex hair treatment as well as cutting. As you can see in the before picture it looked dull, damaged, long and out of model. In the after pictures you can see that she has cut a bit off (10 cm) and my hair looks healthier, it's shining and more alive. I was seriously amazed by the Olaplex treatment!

MY EXPERIENCE
I had a lovely experience in this salon. I love the outcome, loved the service and sweet personnel and I could tell that Iris was experienced and definitely knew what she was doing. She mentioned that she has lots of experience with Asian hair and she is known of creating gorgeous balayage. I fell in love with her instagram (@IrisHeijden) where she showcases her work. You can see that she is experienced with dyeing different kinds of hair types as well, and she is especially experienced in the balayage style.

Review: Philosophy Amazing Grace Dry Shampoo

I am a big user of dry shampoos! If your hair gets oily, don't wash it straight away, but just use dry shampoo! I use it 3 times per week! Philosophy has a whole line with the scent of amazing grace, and now they have added a dry shampoo, called the Amazing Grace Dry Shampoo

PHILOSOPHY AMAZING GRACE DRY SHAMPOO
The notes are: Bergamot, Muguet Blossoms, Musk. It has a floral scent, a fresh scent of amazing grace, a scent of clean bed sheets haha. I love the sturdy packaging and it comes in a 122g spray bottle.

INGREDIENTS
Isobutane, propane, alcohol denat., dimethylimidazolidinone rice starch, parfum/fragrance, aqua/water/eau, aluminum starch octenylsuccinate, benzyl salicylate, acrylates copolymer, magnesium carbonate, hexyl cinnamal, vp/va copolymer, limonene, linalool, butylphenyl methylpropional, ethylhexylmethoxycinnamate, amyl cinnamal, hydroxycitronellal, panthenol, tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, alpha-isomethyl ionone, geraniol, amp-isostearoyl hydrolyzed wheat protein, pentylene glycol, rhodiola rosea root extract, bht.

HOW TO USE
Your hair should be dry. Only use it when your hair is a bit greasy, oily or if you just want to create more volume in your hair. Shake well before use. Spray 2 to 3 inches away from hair, focusing on the roots to give it some volume. Wait a few seconds and then gently rub in with fingers.

FINAL THOUGHTS
I like the scent of amazing grace, it smells the same as the perfume. It barely gives a white cast which is definitely a plus. It's for every hair type and hair color. It gives volume to my hair and removes oil and makes it look less greasy. I love it and it works! When I go through my hair during the day, you can still smell the scent so it does last for a long time. If you are a big fan of the scent and you do use dry shampoos. Give this a try if you want to splurge some money. This dry shampoo is sold for €22,22 which isn't a small amount for a dry shampoo.

Review: Philosophy Time in a Bottle 100% in Control Daily Age-Defying Serum

I have been testing a new serum from Philosophy called Time in a bottle. This serum is great for anti-aging, it helps with repairing skin damage, protect from daily aggressors and reactivate skin's natural age-resisting mechanisms. It is a product for preventing the signs of aging.

HOW TO USE
Here is the fun part! When using it for the first time, you need to pour the entire vial of high-potency vitamin c8 activator into the serum, and fasten pump to the bottle. After that, you need to shake well for 20 seconds. The serum will turn light pink, indicating it is ready to begin transforming your skin. You need to use it within 3 months for best results. You can either use it in the morning or at night or both. I normally apply this after toner and essence.

TEXTURE AND SCENT
The shade of the serum is light pink with a very light shimmer. It is lightweight, very easy to spread and sinks in quickly. The only thing I don't really like about the texture is when you don't use the serum for a few days, it gets a little bit clumpy on the first pump.

In The Netherlands you are able to purchase it at Iciparisxl and it's sold for €76.88.-. Not an inexpensive serum I would say.

FINAL THOUGHTS
The serum feels lightweight on the skin and hydrated, just 1 pump is enough for the entire face which is definitely a plus. I have been using this for 2 months every morning. It is great for sensitive skin as well. I couldn't see much improvements at first regards my fine lines that I have. However, during the time I did notice that my skin is firmer. If you are willing to spend money, have a look at this serum. Of course this is no wonder product that removes all your wrinkles or lines, but it will definitely firm the skin up a bit while leaving it hydrated.

Review: Troiareuke Seoul Aesthetic Cushion Foundation

OMG! I found my favourite cushion! I have tried so many cushions and this one is the best so far! This is the Troiareuke Seoul Cushion with SPF 50+ PA+++. Check out my review in today's blogpost. I got a surprise at the end of the blogpost so make sure to check it out!

TROIAREUKE SEOUL AESTHETIC CUSHION
This cushion contains a good SPF 50+ PA+++ so it's a good sun protector. It has 13g of product inside. It only comes in one shade which is shade 23. This shade is perfect for people with NC25. However, I do think that people with NC20, NC30 can use this cushion as well. I am a NC20 at the moment and it looks great on my skin. What's so special about the Troiareuke cushion foundation is that it contains 99% skincare and 1% make up. How amazing is that? It contains 6 kinds of peptide and it's completely safe. 5 peptides inside will fill up the skin like a filler. It's a natural botox-like peptide and this will lift the skin up. It has anti-anti-aging effects as well as brightening-effects.

I love how this cushion comes with 2 extra pads, so you have 3 in total in the package. The pad doesn't tear easily and feels cooling on the skin when using it with the cushion.

When using it for the first time, you should remove the film and make sure to close the container lid completely after each use.

SWATCHES & FINISH & SCENT
This cushion has no heavy scent which I love. It smells pleasant and this product does contain perfume as their last ingredient, but it's not noticeable. My hand is slightly lighter than my face, it looks really dark and not matching with my hand, but it blends in nicely when applying it on my face. As I already mentioned, it only comes in one shade which is shade 23. It has a semi-matte finish once you apply it with a lovely healthy glow. I love this finish, since many cushion foundations has a dewy finish, it makes me look like a lightbulb during the day. This one doesn't do that luckily. It feels moist on the skin. It turns into a soft matte finish within the first hour. Since I got a combination skintype, my T-zone does get oily during the day. So after a few hours I do look slightly oily, but not like a lightbulb, it's acceptable. It accentuates dry patches a little bit, so I wouldn't recommend this cushion for very dry/dry skintypes.

COVERAGE
Here are before and after pictures. I got to apologies because of the lighting that is different, because I used natural lighting that day, I wasn't able to get the same lighting for every picture. However, you can definitely see the coverage as well as the finish that it gives after application. I also did a before and after video on my instastories on my instagram for only today (it stays for 24hours). Make sure to check it out @sokobeauty. It covers the redness and evens out my whole skin tone. The only thing I don't really like is that the product transfers. So becareful when changing your clothes or when you scratch your face when it's itchy, or even when you touch it for a second, it will transfer onto the fingers.

LASTING POWER
The cushion does stay on my skin for a long time, approximately after 5-6 hours my skin needs a touch up because my skin starts to get oily. The product does fade around my oily areas, like the nose area, but it doesn't go into my fine lines which is a plus. On the other areas of my face, it does stay on for the whole day, but you do need to check if it hasn't oxidized or smudged during the day. Even if I applied powder in the morning, I still need to retouch.

FINAL THOUGHTS
I have been using this cushion for the past 2-3 weeks. It's still my favourite cushion foundation at the moment. I love the semi-matte finish of the cushion. The coverage is medium which I like as well, if you need more coverage, just apply concealer. Retouching is needed, since the product fades away or oxidizes around the oily areas/ nose area. It has a pleasant scent which is very important to me. It's a pity that it only comes in one shade, but I do think that it's suitable for NC20, NC25 and NC30. Aromatica is an all natural and a safe skin care brand that offers quality products that are suitable for all skin type, even for sensitive skin. Most of their products are EWG certified and vegan. This gentle toner helps balance pH levels on the skin. It is especially for people who got irritated and/or troubled skin. It feels great on my combination skin as well. It feels soothing and hydrating and it got anti-aging properties as well. The sea daffodil is a beach flower and the flower's extract helps to lighten dark spots and hyperpigmentation.

This moisturizing gel cream is great for irritated or sensitive skin to soothe and calm it, leaving it healthy and hydrated. Just like the toner, it contains sea daffodil extract to lighten dark spots and hyperpigmentation. It also has aloe and hyaluronic acid for hydration, as well as many essential oils. This product is very cooling, great when your skin is dry. It feels great on my combination dry skin. TEXTURE
The toner has a very strong scent, which I personally don't prefer. While the gel cream has a light scent that fades away after applying. They are both scented with natural essential oils, so no fragrance has been added. The toner has a watery texture and is translucent. The cream has a gel texture and can easily be spread on the skin. I love that it sinks into the skin really fast and it's non-sticky!

FINAL THOUGHTS
I love the simple packaging and natural ingredients of both items. It is a great toner, it balances my pH level and it feels hydrating on the skin, but I am just not a big fan of the scent. I like the gel cream a lot more, it is moist, sinks in quickly without leaving a sticky residue, the scent ain't that strong and fades away as well. I also love that it has an amazing cooling effect on the skin, perfect for the hot days! And OMG it feels so nice when you put it in the fridge! Review: OGX Niacin & Caffeine Shampoo

OGX is famous because of their hair products. I have been using their argan oil for my hair for a long time and absolutely love it. I recently received a shampoo of their Niacin & Caffeine line for review purposes and I will share my short review about it in today's blogpost.

OGX NIACIN & CAFFEINE SHAMPOO
It is a fusion of niacin and caffeine, this shampoo and any other product of this line can help exfoliate and stimulate your scalp while combatting hair loss and it even stimulates blood circulation there. Sounds good right? Who doesn't hate hair loss? You can fight fall out now with this line! For best results, OGX recommends to use each product in this collection together. I only got the shampoo, so I will only be reviewing it today. This line also contains a conditioner as well as a root stimulator spray. They are against animal testing, these products are paraben and SLS free and you can also use this when you got dyed hair.

FINAL THOUGHTS
It doesn't have a strong scent, but it did take me a while to get used to it (i got a sensitive nose). It feels cooling on the scalp and it keeps my scalp clean. I am surprised that it really helps with preventing fall out. That doesn't mean it won't fall at all, it does, but less than normal. I can even use this on my dyed hair without any problems. I do wish it foamed more while washing my hair, but that's a personal preference.

Review: Neogen Bio Peel Gauze Peeling Green Tea

The Korean brand Neogen has been very popular the past year, and it keeps on coming with innovative products that my inner skincare addict love to try out! This is the Neogen Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling in Green Tea.

NEOGEN BIO-PEEL GAUZE PEELING GREEN TEA
They have 3 different types of peeling pads: wine version, lemon version and this is the green tea version. There are 30 single-use exfoliating pads inside the tin. It is a gentle peeler that will remove dead skin cells creating a clearer and smoother complexion. The star ingredient is obviously green tea (minerals), that is an anti-oxidant that prevents pre-mature aging and is an anti-inflammatory that helps to soothe irritated skin. It is a 100% cotton mesh gauze pad. It will also remove any make up residents that you have on the skin.

HOW TO USE
The peeling pad is green, soaked in product. I use this after cleansing, after removing make up. Use one piece of peeling pad, slip 2 fingers into the sleeve and follow the following steps:

STEP 1:
Use gentle, circular motions all over a dry face and neck, working your way up to your forehead. This will remove debris.

STEP 2:
After that, rotate the pad so that the "bubble" side is facing down. Swipe the softer side across the face to pick up the remaining debris. Throw away the pad and you can rinse it off with lukewarm water. Follow with the remaining steps of your skin care routine. Use twice a week.

FINAL THOUGHTS
I was dying to try these! I love green tea products in general which is why I didn't get the lemon or the wine peeling, but directly went for the green tea version. These pads feel very cooling, it is a gentle exfoliator and you can manage the pressure yourself, so if you want an exfoliator that is more harsh, just use more pressure. I personally love gentle exfoliators so I only go through my skin lightly to remove dead skin cells and left over make up. It does a great job with that and it makes my skin moist and radiant afterwards. These pads have a strong scent, it has a fresh green tea scent to it but I can definitely smell alcohol as well. I am not a big fan of the scent, but it's not that I wouldn't use it anymore, I can bear with it.

The thing that I love the most about these pads is that you can see results instantly. Remaining make up can be seen on the pad, my skin feels softer, moist and it looks more radiant after usage. I love to try innovative products and it was fun using these. I saw that they will release individually packed pads as well which you can easily take with you when you travel, which would be an amazing idea!

MUA LUXE RADIANT ILLUMINATION HIGHLIGHTING KIT
I got the kit in number 1. This kit contains 6 shades, that you can mix or can just wear on its own. This will brighten your complexion and giving you that GLOW. I have always loved the MUA LUXE line and the packaging of this highlighter is gorgeous, so chic! The shades matches my light skin perfectly.

MUA LUXE GLOW BEAM HIGHLIGHTING POWDER IN GOLD
This is not your usual highlighting powder. Do you see the lines in between? You need to twist the top part to get the product out, while giving the right amount for you to use. It gives a nice light glow on the skin. One thing I don't like is the cap. The product goes all over and it's not travel friendly since the cap opens in the bag. Other than that, I do like the shade and finish.

MUA is a budget make up brand and these items are definitely affdorable. The highlighting illumination kit is sold in The Netherlands at Kruidvat stores for €7.49 and the highlighting powder has the same price as well. In the UK you can find it at your local drugstore (Boots/Superdrug).

Review: Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm & Make Up Remover

Why didn't I know about these cleansers earlier? Clinique has a cleansing balm and a make up remover in their "Take the day off" skincare line. I always use an oil based make up remover to remove my eye make up and I have been loving cleansing balms lately so these two products seems to be a perfect addition to my skincare routine! I have been using these two products for almost a month now and I am sharing my thoughts about it in today's post.

CLINIQUE TAKE THE DAY OFF CLEANSING BALM
This cleansing balm from Clinique is lightweight and it removes stubborn face make ups, including waterproof eye makeup, sunscreen, bold lipsticks etc., basically everything. It is suitable for all skin types, even the sensitive skin types. It contains 125ml of product.

I like the packaging, it's purple, made of hard plastic, it's simple. One thing that I don't like is that it doesn't contain a spatula. How am I going to grab the product out then? I am not going to dig in with my fingers. Luckily I saved some spatula's up and used one for this cleansing balm. (I am glad that Korean beauty products comes with spatulas often!)

I love short ingredient lists and this cleansing balm from Clinique has it, it is very gentle! My skin can take all of this! You can also check out this list on cosdna.com to see which ingredient might irritate the skin. And hurray for no perfume!

LETS DO THE TEST
Does it really work? I say YES GIRL!!! In below pictures I have put a lipstick and an extremely waterproof eyeliner on my hand. It transforms from a solid balm to a silky, fluid oil upon application and when you mix it with water, it turns into a white oil. It cleanses thoroughly, rinses off completely. It is non-greasy, you won't feel an oily layer when you are done and the skin actually feels moist too. It also has no scent which I love! You can use it on your eyes, but you will get a blurry sight for a few seconds, once you rinse it off you are fine.

CLINIQUE MAKE UP REMOVER FOR LIDS, LASHES & LIPS
I love cleansers that are oil based, it is great to remove stubborn eye make up or lip products. All you need to do is twist the cap open, put some product on a cotton sheet, let it sit on the eyes or lips and wipe away the make up. It is ophthalmologist tested, the formula effectively loosens makeup's grip on the lids, lashes and lips, allowing it to slide away effortlessly. Goodbye waterproof eyeliner, mascara and bold lipsticks. It contains 125ml of product.

It has a purple packaging, which matches the Take the Day Off line. The cap can be opened easily, but the opening is extremely big. I have no idea why they made the opening so big. I often pour too much, which makes the make up remover go all over and on the ground too. (No I am not clumsy).

INGREDIENTS
This make up remover also has a short ingredient list, as I can see from the list, it is also very gentle for the skin. Also, this has no scent, no perfume inside! Check out cosdna.com to see if there are any ingredients which might irritate the skin.

LETS DO THE TEST
I applied a lip product and a waterproof eyeliner which is usually hard to remove. I poured some product on the cotton sheet and left it there for a few seconds, so the oil can sink in. I wiped it away, and all lip product is gone, the eyeliner is slightly still visible. I went a few times over it, but I couldn't wipe the eyeliner away. It leaves an oily film after using it, which I am not a fan of. According to instructions you need to rinse it off too. I actually used the cleansing balm eventually to remove the eyeliner mark and that worked haha.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Again, why didn't I know about these products earlier? I am so in love with the cleansing balm and it will be added to my Holy Grail products. I use it as my first step of my double cleansing routine.

If you can't get your hands on the cleansing balm from Korean brands Heimish or from Banila Co, you got to give this one a try! Almost every country has a Clinique counter nowadays. And if you ask me which of the 3 is better, I would choose the Clinique take the day off cleansing balm. Why? It contains great ingredients, it's so gentle! While the Banila co and Heimish one both has a strong scent, this one has no scent (no perfume included) at all! It doesn't leave an oily film when rinsing off the cleansing balm, it removes all stubborn make up and it doesn't make my skin dry. What is not to love? The only thing that is a pity is that it doesn't contain a spatula, other than that, it is a fantastic product!

Unfortunately, I am not a fan of the make up remover, although it removes lip products easily, it doesn't remove the stubborn eyeliners easily which I wear on a daily basis. I am also not a big fan of the packaging with the big opening either, it makes me pour too much product out. And, I am a lazy person so I don't like to rinse it off after, but I have to because it feels oily after using it. So mehhh, I wouldn't get this one but I would highly recommend the cleansing balm, since that one does its job well!

This comes in a light gel texture and it feels lightweight. A healthy glow can also be seen after applying this onto the skin. It feels slightly sticky after application but this goes away once it has been absorbed. The healthy glow remains even after it has been absorbed into the skin. This ampoule smells like citrus lemonade, also very heavy scented, just like the other two ampoules.

FINAL THOUGHTS
The packaging of the ampoules are gorgeous and the size is pretty big as well, great for the price especially with the 25% off offer ;). They all contain 50ml of product in each bottle. Out of the 3, I love the refreshing milk sleeping mask ampoule the most. Although I got a sensitive nose, I think the scent of this one is bearable and I always like a lightweight cooling texture and a fresh scent so hence why I prefer this one. My skin feels so soft and moist after applying this sleeping ampoule. I love it!

I do need to point out that they are all heavy scented and contains perfume. If you got a sensitive nose or don't like scented skincare products, then I wouldn't recommend to try these out.

The vitamin solution gives a radiant effect straight away, which I would recommend if you are looking for a whitening product or people with dull skin will love this one. I am not blown away by the rose therapy ampoule to be honest, other than being moist, it didn't do much to my skin.

In the end, it all depends on what your needs are, every ampoule is made for a certain skin problem.

Review: Whamisa Real Kelp Sheet Mask

I have finally tried the oh-so-hyped up sheet mask from Whamisa, which is the Real Kelp Sheet mask. I was excited to try this because I love to eat kelp in my soup and I like the scent of kelp as well. So 100% sea kelp in a sheet mask, yes please! In today's blogpost I am sharing my thoughts about it.

This is 100% real sea kelp and it will moisturize and create glowy skin, at least that is what they claim. Each sheet is drenched in a full bottle of fermented sea kelp and bamboo serum. It is formulated with kombu seaweed, this mask provides hydration and nutrition to the skin for 72 hours. It is ideal if you lack skin elasticity. It is free of parabens, silicones, mineral oils, synthetic dyes and fragrances.

THE KELP MASK
The sheet is split into two parts to make it easier to put it on the face. It is soaked with serum that is yellow. I had to be careful when I grabbed the mask out, since it was slippery and it had a good amount of serum, but it wasn't dripping luckily.

HOW TO USE
Remove the white film and apply the kelp mask on the skin. You can remove the mask after 15-20 minutes. You can apply the remaining essence on the neck. No rinsing needed.

SCENT
It is 100% kelp sheet, so YES it definitely smells like seaweed. I just wanted to eat it hahah. If you cannot stand that scent, I would not recommend to get it because it has a strong seaweed scent.

FITTING
The fitting ain't great at all for me, it is way too big for my face as you can see below. The kelp sheet is hard so it is hard to adjust it. It didn't stick on the skin properly neither, if you look at the eye area and mouth area you can see spaces between the sheet and my face. I tried to push the sheet on my skin, but because of the hard texture, it just bounced back up. I doubt that my skin could absorb all the serum from the sheet :(.

This mask is sold at moonimask.com for €9.50. It was send to me for review purposes. As you can see the price for just 1 sheet, is pretty high. It is not because of this store, that is the normal price that you see on other online websites as well.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Unfortunately my skin didn't like this mask at all. My excitement when I received this mask, when I opened the mask was from 100 to 0 after trying it. And I do want to point out, this is my own experience, some people love it but I experienced it like this. It is sad to say that I had a bad experience from it and I had a bad reaction from this mask. Besides that the fitting and the texture wasn't the best. It started to burn my skin after 2 minutes while I had the mask on. I didn't patch test it (yes my bad) and I was confused and was first wondering if it should be like this, but no... After a few more minutes the burning sensation started to increase, so I removed it straight away and washed it off asap. I pat dried it and halleluja for my Cosrx Snail essence and my holy grail Benton Honest TT mist, because that reduced the burning feeling straight away.

It's really up to you if you are willing to pay €9,50 for a sheet mask. It it was a really good mask I would think about it. However, this mask really disappointed me, the texture and fitting wasn't great for me. And I was just unlucky that I had a bad reaction from it, kelp mask and me is just not meant to be T_T. I will definitely not repurchase this again.

I am always looking for a mattifier so I have been trying this one out for a while. My T-zone can get so oily during the day. On days where I don't wear make up, I apply this mattifier as my last step of my morning skincare routine. And guess what, it actually works for a good 6 hours, not 8 hours according to the packaging, but 5-6 hours, which I think is not bad. I do need to blot after. This cream mattifies the skin instantly, you really need to work fast, since it does its job quickly, otherwise it will be harder to spread. Some star ingredients are:
• Willow Bark Extract, this helps to manage breakouts and clears skin of impurities.
• Argan Extract, which reveals smoother & softer skin.

NYX SOFT MATTE LIP CREAM IN LONDON AND ROME
Do I need to say more about these lip products from NYX? These are extremely popular among the bloggers and I am sure you have read reviews about these already. I am loving the NYX matte lip products and these shades are perfect for every day wear as well. It gives a gorgeous matte finish, I do apply vaseline before I apply these baby's since it does feel dry when you apply it on its own. However, it doesn't get stuck into the lip lines which is great. Re-application is needed during the day. For a low price of €7.04 each, I would easily get more shades. Check all shades at Feelunique.com.

EYLURE STRIP EYELASHES TEXTURE LOVE IT LAYER NO 117
I love these eyelashes from Eylure. You can wear half lashes, full lashes or stack the lashes up. You can make it dramatic as you want, or just wear the natural version. It feels lightweight as well. That's why I love this so much! It's re-usable as long as you clean it properly after every usage. It is sold here for €10,88.

It does look a bit cakey, but that's because of the matte finish that it has. Some people love it, some people don't. It is all about what your preferences are. This is a body butter that is best for people with itchy dry skin and YES this is absolutely perfect for my skin! It does takes a couple of minutes to dry, but since I use it after a shower it will have enough time to absorb into my skin before I go to bed.

Lightweight silky smooth texture, very easy to blend and it sinks into the skin within seconds, and that is why I love this body lotion. My skin feels baby soft afterwards while smelling so GOOOOD. It has the same scent as the body butter: sweet honey and almond milk scent.

FINAL THOUGHTS
I AM IN LOVE! The products are very nourishing and the scent is amazing! Do keep in mind that the scent is pretty strong, but even I (with a sensitive nose) love this scent. The scent does stay on the skin for a while and people will smell it from a far if you applied this on the skin. I recommend all of you to go to the store to smell this amazing scent and you will be in love straight away haha!

This line contains natural oils that is suitable for sensitive skin types. I have an extremely dry skin during the cold days in The Netherlands, so oils in products are perfect for my dry & itchy skin! My favourite out of the two got to be the body lotion since it dries extremely quick leaving a baby soft skin. The products are not sticky at all. The moisture stays for a long period, I wouldn't say 48 hours, but definitely at least for a day. I highly recommend these products if you got dry sensitive skin.

Many of you requested to share more of my favourites and here it is! My very first January favourites! I will try to do this every month, or combine a few months together.

BANILA CO CLEAN IT ZERO RADIANCE
The cleansing balms from Banila Co. have been so popular. I reviewed it before here, and this one has become my holy grail! I am always excited to use this at night, because of the scent, but also with the thought that it's going to melt my make up off. Who doesn't like a clean face right? It feels so good on the skin!

KIEHL'S CALENDULA HERBAL-EXTRACT TONER
This toner is alcohol free and contains calendula petals in the bottle floating around. It feels extremely gentle and that is why I love this toner. I love the smell of calendula. It soothes and balances the redness on my skin. It works great on my combination dry skin. It doesn't make my skin dry or strip my oil off or anything, it feels nice after using this toner. If you are looking for a toner, have this one a go!

COSRX ADVANCED SNAIL 96 MUCIN POWER ESSENCE
Hands down! Cosrx is one of my favourite Korean skincare brands and this snail essence is one of my favourite products from Cosrx. I have been using this for months and months and I thought it would be a great time to highlight this baby. This essence has a large amount of snail mucin in it and it works great with healing the skin and it feels gentle on the skin. When I have skin irritations, I always use this. When I feel pimples coming up, I will apply this. If you want to read a thorough review about this essence, here is the blogpost.

PURE HEAL'S PROPOLIS 90 AMPOULE
I repurchased the Pure Heal's Propolis 90 ampoule somewhere last year and in January I ran out of it. I loved it a lot! My skin loves propolis, it's a great ingredient for the skin and this ampoule is really affordable. I also wrote a review about this ampoule before, read it here.

NARUKO RAW JOB'S TEARS PORE MINIMIZING & BRIGHTENING MOISTURIZER
I love Naruko's Raw Job's Tears line and recently I kept on grabbing the moisturizer more than the other products because of the cold weather. It sinks into the skin fast, it smells lovely and it keeps my skin moisturized. If you want to read more about this line, check my previous post.

PURPLETALE ODE TO HYDRATION FACIAL CREAM
Another love of this month is the hydration facial cream from Purpletale. I like to use this cream as my night time cream, but on the really dry skin days, I use it in the morning as well while mixing it with my sunscreen. It sinks into my skin fast while keeping my skin moist. It is not sticky and gives my skin a moist boost. Read more here.

SULWHASOO OVERNIGHT VITALIZING MASK EX
Last product that I am going to highlight is this amazing Sulwhasoo overnight mask. I received this mask just a few weeks ago, but I have been using it so often in the month January. I love the ginger scent and it feels like pamper time every time I use this at night before going to bed. This is also one of the few products that won't make my skin oily in the morning when I wake up. I definitely would repurchase this over and over again when I am out of this one. It protects your pimple from rubbing and touching which can lead to infection and scarring and it prevents the pimple from bacteria and that is exactly what you want. According to descriptions it is possible to apply make up on top, but the patch is definitely still visible in my opinion when you do so. I would recommend to use this before you go to bed as an overnight fixer. Just apply it on your pimple and you will be amazed how smaller/flatten the pimple got in the morning and how much gunk came out during the night.

SIZES
It has 3 different sizes in the pack, just apply the one that will cover the whole pimple. Sizes are 7mm, 10mm and the biggest one is 12mm. There are 24 patches in total in the pack. As you can see I already used a few, since I couldn't wait and just wanted to try it once I got it.

The thin hydrocolloid patches feels similar to a thick hydrogel mask in texture, it adheres to the skin very well. It will even stay on through showering since it is waterproof. Now if you want to see how big the patches are, in below picture you can see it clearly.

WHEN TO USE
I asked this question multiple times on my instagram @Sokobeauty and I always get different answers. So when do you actually use this? 1.) Under the skin pimples? 2.) When pimple is raised but no pus yet? 3.) When your pimple is ripe and has visible pus? OR 4.) When the pimple is already popped?

So I asked the question to Cosrx on instagram and received the following answer (they answer so quickly and has great service by the way) :

So the answer is: 3.) and 4.), these are the most effective periods to use these patches. I have tried to use the patch according to all 4 answers, but answer 3.) works best for me (see following pictures below). It also works for me when the pimple is a few days old. I can see that the size of it will decrease then. It will zap the pimple away - on day 1 I noticed that the pimple got smaller and after using it on day 2 it was gone. As you can see it works in many ways, but the effectiveness differs on which stage you use it.

HOW TO USE
Wash and dry the targeted area you want to treat. Don't apply any skin treatments or moisturizers between the patch and your skin. The reason for this is because it will stick less good onto your skin. When the area is wet, it might fall off.

You can apply it during the day. It is clearly stated on the descriptions to not remove the patches until the size of the acne blemish, pimple gets reduced, so that the patch can absorb the impurities sufficiently. I prefer to apply it before bed, so you can see the magic has worked in the morning. Remove the patch in the morning before doing skincare and you will notice that the patch have turned white as it absorbed the pus. If there is still white pus the next morning, you should apply another patch. With large pimples you may need to put on a patch for several nights in a row in order for your pimple to completely deflate.

Tip: always keep the patches in the packaging and leave it zipped so no sunlight will come through and store them in room temperature.

IT REALLY WORKS!
I had never been so happy to have a pimple coming up so I could try the patch out haha. Here you can see I have 2 pimples on my chin. (This is from snacking crisps and chocolate, I know BAD, I always eat junk food when I stress T_T.)

I made the area dry and applied the patch on the pimple where the pus was visible.

The next morning I saw this... YUCK but AWESOME at the same time! You see the white stuff? This is the pus that was inside it. It wasn't fully gone the next day, but it did flatten the pimple. I had to apply a patch the following night again and on the third day is was fully gone then.

FINAL THOUGHTS
These are LIFE SAVERS and definitely works! It sucks the pus out and it flattens the pimple the next morning straight away. This has become one of my holy grails! This is an amazing product that I recommend to people with acne, has hormonal pimples or just have pimples once in a while. It does only contain 24 patches, which runs out quickly if you got a lot of pimples/acne. Therefore if you are willing to spend the money on it, BUY! I would repurchase again and again since it really works like a charm.
