My baby girl is now Teenagers 😍

Thrilling, exciting and for me somehow "Please God give me the strength 😁

I am surprised to see her personality changes from last year to this years. Being introvert she is now becoming more and more explorer. Being bold and at the same time beautiful are the right adjectives for my baby doll.

13 SPECIAL BIRTHDAY PARTY

Till one day before her birthday she was not sure that her friends will come for birthday. But still I insisted to invite all of them. And she was surprised that her gang came and explore the party.

Birthday morning started with hug, kiss and giggles from us and her little twin sisters. Then I let her allowed to spend the day as per her wish. Wishing her in every 1 hour made her smile more. I cooked her favourite all meals, breakfast, lunch and snacks .

Anyways the evening came with surprise that her gang was about to come at home for the birthday party. She was the most happiest birthday girl.😘 Because last two years birthday party was booring - you can imagine birthday party without friends 😑 This year birthday party was more exciting.

The party started late @ 9 pm. And most depressing things was the house was not at all decorated. She was at home whole day but not sured anyone will come ? And so she was sad and not ready to decorate the house. I also didn't insist.

But we had a blast. The perfect teenager birthday party was surprising for me too. Nowadays kids are only interested in taking asthetic pictures. I was expecting they will dance and sing but to my surprise they were buried in the bedroom for getting ready. Infact they gave her gift there only 😁 and then their photoshoot 😇😇

Birthday cake was surprising but she didn't like that surprise. We have to adore the boundaries of our kids too.

THINGS I ADORE

1. HER BOLDNESS:

I don't know in real world means out of the home, is she really bold ? But after listening her school talk I feel yes, she is becoming bold. She is the one who identified wrong things and giving me justification about that.

I patted on my shoulder and said to myself, yeaaa....I raised her correct 😘

My motto is my girls should learn to fight for herself and she did it. I hope she will achieve that also as early as possible.

2. SPORTS :

She is taking intrest in sports and many other outdoor activities. And as a parent's we also ensures that she will get in right place with right environment. For me her sports intrest is important and I love it was not temporary. Badminton, Vollyball and football are her current intrest.

3. FRIENDSHIP :

Last year my doll struggle to make friends and now it has been just second year, whole class is now her friend. She knows each and every person in her class and talk with everyone.

That is my win- win. I always taught her to not hate anyone and being friendly with whole class is actually give confidence. She achieved it. 😍 Not becoming teachers pet but should always talk with each one from first bench to last bench and she did it.

4. CHOOSE RIGHT:

I am amazed that she understands what is right for her or who is right for her. She chooses who choose her and never beg to anyone. That's required lots of courage. I am proud that she is more confident and more independent.

5. CONFIDENCE:

I was always worry, being introvert how her confidence level will increase. But seeing now as a teenager she is more confident in school, with friends, with sports and never have any fear of being alone. And that is ...." My parenting 😎

FAVOURITE :

Game : Football, Vollyball, Karate and badminton

Dance : Hip Hop

Music: BTS, K pop

Webseries : Not into that much but yes ....

K drama : Watching with Mummy but very few you can say one or two 😊

Food : Homemade Paneer and Chicken, shawarma, pizza, Burger and all fruits.

Hobbies: Drawing, sketching, mandala, Editing videos.

Achievement :

Successfully completed 3 months of Badminton. I was not sure that she will continue but yes she like the fitness and the game.

Feel sorry that she was unable to join Judo Karate.

Love reading and she completed 3 books till August. Proud that she Love to read my genres too.

Alchemist,

Metamorphosis,

Harry Potter 1,

Geronimo Stilton series 2 books.

Study: She is fine. Though school is very bad in terms of study she finally understand that need to study to learn herself and not for the grades. She enjoyed other activities held in school.

First in Essay Writing , Hand writing.

My first born child you are always my adorable and special kid. I live your More than anything in my life. I always choose you again and again.

Beat, Rhythm, and Move

Three words sum up the legacy of MJ's magic. Fan hona kya hota hai? Wo to main MJ ko dekh dekh ke sikha.

When I was a child, I didn't know what the meaning of "FAN" was. I didn't understand even his songs, but yes, I always got carried away with his beat and moves, and it was constantly in my brain and in my tap.

I saw MJ journey without internet. I saw the craze and fan following all over the world. Even my father used to tease me. I saw how MJ faced criticism. But the strange thing is he didn't know the media was giving these kinds of shits. Or I can say he didn't bother with it.

Today I am 44, and I saw his movie in the theater. I can say there was magic. Yes! Michael Jackson's magic and aura hit different. I cried from start to end. Just seeing him on stage brings tears to your eyes; even I didn't know the details about his life.

Michael, you are really amazing. I always loved you the way you are. And now my respect has grown to the next level by seeing how you live your life and, moreover, how you created it.

It was just incredible. I don't have words to describe it. But I just wanted to store this memory on my blog, and so here I am documenting. A solo movie date just to see him surprised me too. I wanted to watch him on the big screen.

ABOUT FILM :

The film is about Michael Jackson's life. It depicts how he became a star: a world pop star.

I was wondering how they can show his full life in just 3 hours, but this is only 1 part of his life.

The heartwarming journey of Michael Jackson from the family musical band to MJ's, a solo world-famous pop star.

He is extremely talented and kindhearted. Though he didn't receive real love in his life, being alone for 35 years, still his heart was filled with only love.

ABOUT THE ACTOR:

Jaffar Jackson, nephew of Michael Jackson, did a 101% job with the character. He doesn't imitate; he lived MJ's life.

He created that magic and aura so the full nation can feel MJ's power.

He's always available to receive ideas from the universe. He didn't keep himself busy.

He watched movies and created unique ideas from watching them. He saw things differently, getting ideas from his surroundings only.

Marketing:

We can learn how to market ourselves from Michael. How to be a brand. Performing in front of billions of people and creating magic is not an easy part. But Michael was magician.

Accidents into opportunities:

Though he was in pain, he took the accident or unfavorable condition as an opportunity and saw the new path always.

Shine the light within :

His mother told him that he was different. He was unique. He has light within himself, and he should always shine the light.

Spread Love

He was deprived of love, being alone since his childhood, but still he wanted to spread love. With his music, he spread love all over the world.

About Michael Jackson:

His Gloves, Hare

He got into accident where his head caught fire and he have to remove his hair. He have to wear a wig which was painful. And he created his new look which was unique.

He was facing vitiligo and so he have to wear a gloves to hide that. He created his signature. 😎

His Pets:

When he didn't have friends, he found friends in animals. His pets were a rat, a llama, a peacock, a snake, a giraffe, and a chimpanzee.

That was something new to me. As a childhood crush I saw only him on music videos and listened to his songs. Bizarre information I received from the newspaper and television. Now realized how media shows that.

I can keep on writing more and more about him but then the post will be so long.

CONCLUSION:

Watching Michael's movie is thrilling. And it's been 15 days; I am still under that magic. Though it is the first part only—his journey of how he became a world pop star. I don't know if I will be able to watch the next part.

OBSESSION 2025

My obsession of this year : Being alone.

Yes!

I guess after crossing 40, we all feel it. We don't want to fight. We don't want to prove anything. We don't want to think about what other people think. We don't want to have any expectations from anyone. Literally anyone. And we don't want to depend on anyone emotionally.

Have you reached this stage yet?

Now I can understand why my mother used to be silent. When didn't she want to express her emotions? Why she loves to be alone. When we siblings were young, we often asked her, but she smiled and said, "I am happy the way I am."

I understand now. What is it?

Or why do we choose to be alone?

Once you crossed 40, you realized what kind of people are in your family. You consider them as a family, but everyone is different and has their own way to process life.

So here I am.

Alone with my kids. I have enjoyed my life with my kids. You can say I am a single mother. I have a healthy husband who provides us money, food, and shelter, and I am truly grateful to him.

And accept that he is too busy. Instead of making life more complicated, I think being a single mom is OKAY.

Family, especially my siblings—we used to talk a lot and love each other too much. But when talks become disputes, I choose to be silent. Because I realized once your brother married, their brain is not going to work by themselves. 😆

So just be your own. No talks, no more meetups, and no more obligation of anything.

Next come our friends, especially close friends; it may be either two or three, whatever it is. But after crossing 40, you mostly need your friends to hang out or burst out or just to be who you are. But if they are too busy, then you have to choose being alone.

That teaches you how you can take over your life by yourself. How you can handle every stress of your life by yourself.

Don't beg them to be with you, but don't rely on them too much that they will listen or be available for you. Because they might have been going through the same patch of life.

My obsession of this year is being alone.

Which literally gives me peace. In our life what matters is our family, our siblings, and our one or two close friends. But as you grew old, everyone started to be their own. They have busy lives. So accept that.

ADOPTION

Adoption means बाळ किंवा छोटे मूल दत्तक घेणे. या गोष्टीला सहसा कोणी तयार होत नाही. म्हणजे बरेच लोक घेतात दत्तक पण सामान्यपणे मराठी लोक तयार होत नाही दत्तक घेण्यासाठी.

माझ्या नातेवाईकांमध्ये आणि बऱ्याच फ्रेंड्सरेकल मधे सुध्दा मूल नसण्याचे प्रमाण जास्त आहे. पण तरीही ही लोक अनाथाश्रमातून मूल दत्तक घेण्यास तयार नसतात. कारण बरेच वेळा emotional असते आणि प्रॅक्टिकल नाहीत. मला खरच कळत नाही की का लोक दत्तक घ्यायला तयार नसतात? ते जर रक्ताचे कारण असेल तर मात्र ते विचित्र वाटते. आपल्या सगळ्यांचे रक्त लाल रंगाचे असते. आणि कोणत्याही तर्क मांडण्याआधी त्या बाळाचा काय दोष? हा सुद्धा विचार करायला हवा ना?

मी काही उदाहरण सांगते.

माझ्या पापांचे एक मित्र होते. त्यांना 13 वर्ष मूल नव्हते. नंतर एक बाळ झाले पण तेही जेमतेम 5 वर्ष जगले. पण या दाम्पत्यानि बाळ दत्तक घेतले नाही. घरची श्रीमंती सुध्दा होती. माझा मुद्दा एवढाच की एखाद्या बाळाचं आयुष्य छान असते.

माझी एक फ्रेंड सुध्दा आहे. तिच्या लग्नाला तर 20 वर्ष झाली पण एकदाही तिला मूल दत्तक घेण्याची इच्छा झाली नाही. मी बरेच वेळा suggestions दिले पण तिची कारणे हीच कोणाचे रक्तं असेल?

माणसाची नियत चांगली हवी आणि पुण्य करायला पण हिम्मत लागते. मला 3 मुली आहेत. जर फक्त एक मूल असते तर मी नक्कीच दत्तक घेणार होते.

Kristin हे एक इंस्टाग्राम चे account आहे. हि स्त्री मूळची अमेरिकन पण तिला स्वतःच्या 3 मुली असून पण तिने एका अपंग मुलीला दत्तक घेतले. ऑपरेशन करून तिला नवीन पाय बसवले आणि तिला एक Happy Life दिली. खरच खूप छान वाटतं ते बघून.

तुमचं काय मत आहे? जर घरची financial condition चांगली असेल तर दत्तक जरूर घ्यावे. ह्या मुलांना सुद्धा education and good Life जगण्याचा हक्क आहे.

SUNSET FROM MY BALCONY

Writing is the only thing that keeps me happy. And it's almost been 8 to 9 months; I didn't open my Blogger dashboard.

When I saw this #blogchatterhalfmarathon activity, I decided to participate. Just want to give it a try because I wanted to get back to my writing journey. And here I am completing my 9th post by using a prompt. Thank you, Blogchatter.

Prompt: Look out of the window. Which things fascinate you and why?

One of the most beautiful and fascinating sights from my balcony is SUNSET. It is filled with orange color. It paints the cloud almost in lightish orange, and I saw it every evening with my twin kiddos.

My twin toddlers are very curious. They are constantly asking me, "Ata andhar ka jhala?" Why is there a blackout?

So I have to show them this sunset. Sun is saying goodbye to us and going to his home to meet his mummy. Again in the morning he will come to say good morning to us. And so watching sunset daily is an interesting activity for us as a family.

My favorite evening spot is sitting on the balcony with a cup of tea and a sunset. Many times I tried to capture the scenes, but it didn't capture the way we saw it.

I saw the sunrise at Kanyakumari, and that was blissful. Now I am blessed to watch the sunset daily right in front of me. But this time watching the sunset with the twin kiddos' perspective is different and vibrant.

I am really greatful for this.

GREY HAIR

Grey hair is one of the beauty that we achieve after a certain age. My sister had grey hair when she was in 8th grade, and then she used to keep it like that only. After marriage she started to color it. I am having my first grey hair after crossing age 35. And feel yeaaa...a new beginning will start now.

Anyways, the topic of the blog post is how do you feel having grey hair?Actually, I don't feel weird. Yes, there are some people, friends, who stare at your grey hair and ask constantly, "You don't dye?"

I am lazy, or you can say I don't feel like dyeing it. Unless it is a marriage ceremony or any other family program. Mr. Husband and every elder one in my family called me and asked to dye my hair. And without opposing, I choose to die. Because there is no point in debating.

I love my grey hair too. It is a sign of a grown and mature person. 🤫 (Not all grown-ups are mature.)

But my in-law's, my father and mostly elderly people in my family all used to dye hair in a whole black patch. And I feel that weird. Okay. When you dye your hair, you look young, and your face structure glows. Agreed.

But,

Still, I don't feel like dying. I kept it as is.

I am a busy mom, and my hands are always full. But I like my grey hair. And also I like the way it looks. I am accepting the fact of my body. And I feel I look beautiful too.

जावई : अवघड जागेचे दुखणे

जावई : अवघड जागेचे दुखणे 😆

ही म्हण मला आता समजायला लागली. खरंच ना, जावई हा प्राणी इतका विचित्र का असतो ?

मला तीन मुली आहेत तर स्वाभाविकच मला जावई असणार, hope की ते चांगले असतील ( means good human being) 🤞

बरं, या टॉपिक वर लिहायचा मुद्दा म्हणजे जावई या प्राण्याबद्दल असणारे कोडे. फ्रेंड circle आणि घरच्या siblings ना बघून हा लेख लिहिते. कदचित जावई हा प्राणी या प्रश्नांचे उत्तर देइल. नाहीं मुळात मला, उत्तरे नकोच आहेत पण एक प्रयत्न त्यांची मानसिकता सुधारण्याचा.

बरं, जावई या प्राण्याला इगो असा भयंकर असतो, का बरे? जॉब, फॅमिली, social status ani पैसा ! अरे हे सगळे बघूनच तर आमच्या आई वडिलांनी आमचे लग्न तुमच्यासोबत लावले. ते नसते तर लग्न झालेच नसते. हि गोष्ट तुम्ही लोक का विसरतात?

नवीन लग्न झालेल्या मुलीचा specially जावयाचा पाहुणचार तर खूपच भारी असतो. कारण parent's ना आपल्या मुलीची काळजी असते म्हणून.

यानंतर ही बरेच वेळा काळजीपोटी, आणि तिचा संसार टिकावा यासाठी तिचे आई वडील किती तरी गोष्टी डोळ्याआड करतात. इग्नोर करतात. पण खरंच या गोष्टीचा जावई या प्राण्याला अंदाज तरी असतो का ?

जावई हा प्राणी कसा आहे हे actually baby झाल्यानंतर कळते. तो पर्यंत सगळं छान असते. पण जेव्हा मूल जन्माला येते तेव्हा मात्र आई आणि बाबा या दोघांचा खरा स्वभाव कळतो. आणि सगळ्यात महत्वाची गोष्ट म्हणजे तुम्हाला तुमच्या आई वडिलांनी कसे संस्कार दिले हे ही दिसून येते.

पाहिजे तसे घालून पाडून बोलणे, घर सोडून जा, शिवीगाळ करणे, हात उचलणे, स्वतः बायकोला पोसतो याची जाणीव करून देणे आणि बऱ्याच गोष्ठी समोर येतात. मुळात डोमेस्टिक violence सुरू होतो. अगदी दोघे नवरा बायको वर्किंग असले तरीही.

का ?

काय गरज पडते?

एकदा इगो बाजूला ठेवून नीट बोलून बघावे.

काय गरज पडते मोठ्या माणसानं या सगळया गोष्टीत सहभागी करायची? आणि मुळात divorce हे हत्यार जावई या प्राण्याचे आई वडील का वापरतात?

या सगळया गोष्टी अजूनही समजत नाही. प्रत्येक बायको या सगळया त्रासातून जाते. बायको तुमची, तुमच्या मुलांची आई तरीही इतक्या लेवल पर्यंत नाते का जाते?

खरंच जर जावई प्राणी हे वाचत असेल तर नक्कीच सांगा, का तुम्ही असे वागता?

BOOKS FOR BABIES AND TODDLERS

Hello parents, This is one of the most requested posts. Often I received questions about what kind of books we choose for babies and kids. In this post I am going to share with you the type and the sequence of books from babies to kids.

I am the mother of three girl children, and I developed reading habits in my elder one as well as now my babies (they are not babies anymore), are preschoolers, by using these books.

SOME IMPORTANT POINTS

1. Babies cannot read on their own. Just give them exposure.

2. It is not necessary to read the book. If they're turning the page, let them.

3. Always start reading with the name of the book and the author of the book.

4. It is okay to re- read the same book thousands of times.

5. Books should not be read only at specific times. It can be anytime and anywhere.

THE LIST OF THE BOOK FOR BABIES/TODDLERS

HIGH CONTRAST BOOK

When your baby is small, their eyesight is not fully developed. These are specially designed for babies in black and white contrast shades.

You can DIY them or take printables from Google. Introduce these books as soon as possible. These are best for tummy time.

CLOTHES BOOKS

The second one is a clothes book. When your baby started to crawl or put everything in the mouth stage, these books were really useful. Because they are made up of clothes, so you can use them. These are soft, and parents do not need to worry about mouthing.

BOARD/PICTURE BOOKS

These are our favorites. Colorful, with pictures and small words. These board books include picture books, storybooks, concept books, etc. These are really good. It helps to improve visuals as well as vocabulary too.

TOUCH AND FEEL BOOK:

These are soft books. Inside, the books have different kinds of material, like fluffy, silk, furry, feathery, etc. Each material is described with the picture. Like flowers are silky, rabbits' ears are fluffy, etc.

These are must-have books for your toddler especially.

INTERACTIVE BOOKS

These are specially designed for extra curious toddlers. Books' pages have moving parts. For example, monkeys on swings—then in this interactive book you can move the swings by your hand. If there is rain, then you can actually move the raindropslike this.

Precautions should be taken, as these books should be handled in the presence of parents. If you allow them to read on their own, then they will tear it as fast as they can 😆. My personal experience.

STORY BOOK (one or two lines)

Yes, you can introduce a story now to your babies. Just take the books that have daily concepts through stories with one or two lines, and everything is described in pictures. This way toddlers' imaginations work strongly. And it also widens their brains.

NURSERY RHYMES BOOKS:

Yes, I personally feel this book should be in your library. Nursery rhyme books are very well illustrated, and toddlers watch the words and pictures too. I love this Nursery Rhymes book.

CONCLUSION:

My house is filled with books, and I used to read them since they were babies. Of course the first condition is you have to read your book; then only babies or your kids will love to read books. Be flexible and give more exposure of books to kids. Join groups or follow pages for books. You can find really good deals on books.

DIWALI FARAL AT EVERY STAGE OF LIFE

दिवालीचा फराळ

आपल्या लहानपणीच्या खूप आठवणी आहेत या दिवाळीच्या फराळाच्या, नाहीं का?

मला तर आठवते आम्ही सगळे फॅमिली मेंबर एकत्र बसून रात्र भर फराळ बनवायचो. करंजी, शंकरपाळी, लाडू, शेव, चकली, चिवडा, आणि अनारसे हे आमचे ठरलेले फराळाचे पदार्थ. रात्रीचे दोन तीन वाजेपर्यंत सगळे मिळून डबा भर फराळ बनवायचो. आणि तो ही किलोभर!

ही अशी दिवाळी माझे लग्न होईपर्यंत मी enjoy केली. लग्नानंतर नवीन घरात मला तरी बऱ्याच अपेक्षा होत्या. पण सासूबाई फक्त आजूबाजूला वाटण्यासाठीच बनवण्याच्या आणि त्याही माझ्या घरासारख्या टेस्टी नाही. 😶 आपल्या जिभेला एक चव लागली तर तीच रेंगाळत राहते, नाही का?

आणि त्यात इथल्या लोकांना खाणे माहितच नाही. आमच्याघरी तरी फराळ संपेपर्यंत तोच breakfast असायचा. यांच्या घरी अगदी दिवाळीच्या दिवशी सुद्धा चहा चपाती लागते. 😐😑 ते सगळे मला अजीब वाटले पण मी काहीच बोलली नाही. माझ्या मते या घरात मी एकमेव फराळ खाणार खादाड प्राणी होते.

असो, जेव्हा मी माझ्या घरी शिफ्ट झाले तेव्हा मात्र मला एकटीला फराळ बनवायला लागला होता. कारण नवरा म्हणजे अजीब प्राणी, त्याला काहीच बनवता येत नव्हते or else त्याला help नसेल करायची.

पंपांचे फोनवर फोन नुसते, झाली का तयारी? करणार ना फराळ? Bla....bla...bla...

मग काय You Tube matcehi जय, तसा फराळ मी कधीच एकटीने बनवाल नव्हता. नेहमी मी आईला हेल्प करायची त्यामुळे मोजमाप काहीच माहित नव्हते.

आणि पहिल्या वेळी मी करंजी बनवली खूप छान झाली. अगदी माझी मम्मी बनवायची तशीच. बस मग तर काय मी हवेतच उडत होते. You Tube बघून बघून शंकरपाळी, चिवडा आणि बिस्कीट बनवले. आणि माझ्या पप्पांना सुद्धा खूप आवडले.

लास्ट चार वर्षापासून तर मी फराळ बनवला नाही. ट्वीन pregnency आणि नंतर बाळंतपण आणि आता या दोघी काही करून देतील तर ना,

एकच खंत ती म्हणजे आम्ही लहानपणी जसे डबे उघडून दिवसभर फराळ खायचो तसे माझी लेकरे खात नाही 😑 त्यांच्यासाठी खास बनवलं आणि दोन दिवसातच त्यांना कंटाळा आला.

KINDNESS

Nowadays people forget how to become kind or how to practice kindness. We need kindness from our family and relatives only. We didn't expect it from unknown people. But these families or our own relatives are habitual to criticize us in many ways. After crossing 40, I have seen much trauma in my life and realize why people around us can't be kind. To become available or to be kind doesn't need money. But still people forget the past and become less emotional and show their real color.

I am sharing a few things that may be relatable to you too.

Scene 1:

My mother was admitted for heart surgery at the end of lockdown. And I was the one who stayed with her throughouther admitted period. Because females need to stay in the female ward, and I am the only female in my family who can stay there continuously. I have a little sister who is married and staying in the same area where my mother stays. But her husband never allowed her to help me.

Kindness—I am talking about the kindness here. I don't want to dig up the reasons, but I just wanted to know, where is her kindness? Why does she need permission from her husband? Why did her husband not allow her to have a hospital stay? I also have a family, and my husband is also working. At that time her husband was at home—jobless. But still these people can't help us by being available whenever we require.

Scene 2:

In the year 2015 my father was on an oxygen cylinder. His lungs were damaged, and he can't breathe oxygen. So the doctor advised him to have an oxygen cylinder as much as he can. At that time a cylinder cost INR 750 to 1000, and one cylinder works only for 4 hours. We need money, and we have rich relatives who became rich due to my father only. Their job was saved by my father. I just wanted to say this is the time where they can show gratitude. None of them offer any money. We never asked money from any of them. But again, where is the kindness?

Scene No. 3

Recently my aunt was admitted to the hospital for gallbladder problems. He has only one son—married with kids. Due to exam time, his wife can't stay in the hospital. And his cousin sister stays nearby to his house. He asked her to stay in the hospital. And she stayed too. She belongs to a rich family, but still he has to pay for her auto and food. That poor boy already had lots of expenses, but still he managed to pay.

Where is the kindness?

These and many more situations are there where we need help from our family members and relatives, but I don't understand why they don't want to help.

CONCLUSION:

खरंच माणुसकी हरवत चालली की अशा माणसांना माणुसकी नसतेच मुळी. 🥺 तुम्ही गेला असालच ना या सारख्या गोष्टीतून. तुमचा अनुभव सांगा.

OUR DIWALI 2025

Diwali 2025 is the special one because my little twins are now 3.5 years old, old enough to understand what the festival is and which rituals we follow. This year I was quite excited and happy for the festival. I remembered when I was unmarried my shopping never finished till the last day, but after becoming a mother, it changed the whole perspective. Shopping has shifted for my kiddos only. I barely think about my clothing or accessories but am ready to search for cute things for my twins and the elder one.

1.SHOPPING FUN :

After 3 years this Diwali I shopped with my daughter, and after roaming for 2 hours, I was able to get 3 dresses. Out of which I am not at all satisfied, but still I purchased it. So what was the fun thing?

In my area, near my building, there was a lady who put up a stall for ladies' dresses and kids' frocks. I was watching her from my balcony daily, and on the day of Laxmi pujan, I went there to see if I could get any traditional frock for my Sia. And bingo, I got the best one, which is in my budget. I was too surprised and felt foolish. Instead of roaming in the outside area where I pay more than the necessary amount, I should visit this shop first. So this was one of the fun things I will remember always. Does this happen with you?

2. RAIN : Diwali 2025 is a rainy Diwali. On Laxmi Pujan there was a thunderstorm and rain. All the rangoli, lanterns, Akashkandil, diya, flowers, and the open market with all the festival things got wet. 🥺 Still, kids enjoyed their firecrackers. 🧨

3. RANGOLI : This Diwali I want to have flower rangoli, and I ordered 1/2 kg of flowers. But rain ruined everything. On that day we didn't have lights, and with air and rain, every rangoli was washed off. 😕After 6:30 I drew rangoli, which was funny. I was too tired and in a blackout; I drew some flowers and rangoli too.

4. DIYA : Laxmipujan, there was no light, and finally we lamped out so many diyas. We also have some candles and some diyas.

5. LAXMIPUJAN IN BLACKOUT :

There was no sign of lights until 8 pm. Then I finally make my kids ready. Put on all the beautiful dresses and bangles and put on a little bit of makeup. I wore only a sari, and with my bun, we did puja.

We didn't take a single picture of this Diwali 2025. 🥺

CONCLUSION :

Only one happy ending: the daughter went with her father downtown and enjoyed firecrackers. 🧨 🧨 🧨This way we celebrate our Diwali 2025 in blackout.

RULES FOR VISITING NEW BORN BABY

Hi, मी मोठी आई झाले. 🤩

Yes, I became a big mumma. My brother-in-law had a baby on Diwali, and we all are very happy. I encountered some rules in the hospital. This is my fifth time prescribing these rules for visitors. Actually, Mummy and Daddy.

Because every visitor is so excited, and everyone wants to touch the baby, and I don't like it because it is practically not hygienic. And that's why I am writing this blog post.

Rules you have to follow when you meet a new baby in the hospital or at home.

RULES FOR VISITING NEW BORN

1. WASH HAND : Whenever you enter the hospital, use sanitizer or soap to clean your hands. If you are visiting at home, make sure you wash your hands and feet properly.

2. Do not take the baby in your hand: A newbornbaby is delicate, and I strictly said no if anyone wants to take the baby in hand. It is not necessary. You can watch it by keeping some distance and giving your love and blessings to the baby.

3) NO KISS : Even if you bring a newborn home, do not allow anyone to kiss the baby except Mummy and Daddy. No grandfather or grandmother should kiss the baby. There is more chance of getting an infection.

3) NO PICTURE CLICK : When you visit the baby in the hospital or at home, please do not click the picture. Ask for the picture from the parents if they take it.

4) Stay away if you are sick: If you are sick or having any kind of cough and cold, then please avoid visiting the newborn baby.

5) SHORT VISITING TIME : visiting time should be short, 15 minutes only. Because there are lots of people who want to visit the hospital and bring lots of stuff. So parents request everyone to have short visiting times so that Mumma and baby do not get tired.

6) NO STRONG PERFUME: A newborn baby is delicate, so avoid wearing strong perfume.

7) NO LOUD SPEAKING IN THE HOSPITAL : When relatives visit, they start talking in such a loud voice because they are extremely happy, and so they forget that the mother needs peace. Please keep your talks short and in a low voice.

8) NO ADVICE : New parents are overwhelmed, so don't give tons of advice. Just one or two advice is okay rest of the things they manage. If they asked, then only give your advice; otherwise, don't spread your gyan.

9 ) NO WHAT'S UP STATUS : Some people are so hurry to display everything on social media. You don't need to post it on WhatsApp story or on nay other social media. Because it is not your baby. So respect the parents privacy maintain your boundaries.

10 ) NO COMMENTS FOR BABY : Every new born baby is unique and beautiful. Do not make any comments like he is so black, so white or anything. You don't need to make any good or bad comment for the baby.

CONCLUSION :

I strongly followed these rules and get most hate from visitors. But I don't care because at the end it is only you and your baby. No one is going to come to help you when your baby get sick or even in your postpartum period. So stick to this rules and have a healthy baby.

मम्मा ऐक ना!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Parenting is one of the toughest jobs ever, in which you have no income and you have to devote your mind, body, and money too. 😬 Every kid is unique, and so is the parenting too. I believe there is something to learn from each kid.

Here I am going to share what I learned from my kid. After becoming a parent, I realized parenting is the journey where you constantly learn from your kid and grow as human beings. My 11 years of parenting experience reveal many hidden parts of my strength.

I have my twins, and they are 3 years old. The elder one is the chatterbox who is constantly talking, and I love this phase where she learns new words and language and tries to interact with us like elders.

The constant phrase she used, "मम्मा ऐक ना," means Mumma, listen please.

And I put everything off, like screens, books, or my household chores, and listen to whatever she is going to talk with me about.

I even stopped talking with my older one, and we both listened to her tiny talk. 😄 Most of the time she repeats what she heard from her sisters' talk. And we listen and try to reciprocate.

So here I learned your kids want you to listen. Though they may sound funny, you have to listen. And if you want your child to listen to you, then start listening to them first.

Saee Turns 12

Officially 12 now.

This year is very difficult year for her and I am struggling as a mother to reshape her mind. Shifting makes her unstable and she found it difficulties in adopting new home, new school and new neighbourhood.

SAEE BIG SISTER

One thing is sure that she loves her twins sister very much. Both sisters are her favourite like a Teddy Bear. She adore, hug and play with them whenever she can. Little sister copy everything from her DIDI which sometimes makes her annoying but then I have to tell her you are exactly like her. You used to do whatever we parents did.

I must say she is my helping hand and handle twins very well whenever I required. Siblings love each other, fight with each other but still they want to be with each other. I adore the way both sister wave a goodbye to DIDI to school and when she returns they giggles. That love between these siblings melt my heart.

THINGS I ADORE

Family : Unlimited love for her twins sisters and cousins

Friends : Struggling to make new but I can proudly say she have new 3 friends. Still she love her old friends and still they connected via text and call.

Sketching : Her new world is sketching. I am very surprised to see her improvement. Self taught and brilliant Skechers. She spend most of the time in sketching and I also don't bother her to stop doing that and study.

Independent, Responsible daughter:

She understands the responsibility and sometimes acting like a more mature girl. Yes she wanted to have her own time and twin sisters sometimes give her hard time also. I tried to give her own time and let her live her life also.

Watching Screen :

Yes, screen is the most important part of her life. She learnt sketching and learnt many more things which inspired her a lots. I am very relieved that she is still not into any stupid reels, shorts or any make up videos. Yes she learning skin care and basic make up and teaching me too 😄 I love this part.

Listening Music

Music is her favourite thing. Her choice is incredible. I love each song she suggested me. We always watch songs on big screen and no wonder my 3 years old learnt all songs of BTS and BLACKPINK 💕

Eating : Saee loves to eat variety of food. She is foodie and love to eat quality food.

Trying new food : Her love to try Korean food is beyond my imagination. Yea she tried many things at home only because we living in such area now where we can't access the Korean restaurant. I wonder, can she really eat that ?

Roming with mummy :

I am very much happy she love her mother very much. Currently she is not having any friends in our building and she trying as per her level. I found it is very difficult to make a new friends at new place.

The best part is she love to roam with me in neighbourhood. We both are exploring this new area. She often asked me to have scooty ride and walk around our neighborhood.

Shopping in super market.

This is the one thing she learnt. She can independently shop in this big super market. Her choice is high class but at the same time she realised we have our own budget. And she always stick to the budget and not randomly purchasing anything. I feel proud for that

Losing intrest

Yes, I feel very sad to see that she loose intrest quickly. This can be pre teen era or I don't know but I saw this major shift in her. I can't force her to keep going. If she doesn't like then she never tried that things.

I hope she will not loose intrest in her studies. I am trying to make study time interesting as I can because she still needs me in her studies and I love that.

As I said , this year is bit difficult for her. While she is struggling to have a new friends and so she is mostly homesick. Love to roam with mummy whenever possible. She often asked me to have a scooty ride or walk in a neighborhood. I am actually delighted to be with her. I love to roam with her and chatting never end.

Slowly and steadily she will adapt new life. Sometimes it bothers me a lot but still I am not forcing her to do particular thing. I think when kids are ready they will do things. We should not forced them because we don't know what bothers them exactly and more over I believe that giving them time to adjust is the best way.

Favourite Food :

All kind of fruits. All kinds of paratha except methi and palak Paratha. Chicken, mutton, and panner. Chicken and mutton biryani. Biscuits, cookie, cakes, khari, butter, pizza, Burger,

Favourite Drink : Milk, coffee (sometimes only), mogu mogu korean drink

Favourite Show : Aayu pihu show, BTS of BTS and BLACKPINK, japan and Korean travel vlogs, and study vlogs. Love to watch Maharashtrachi Hasya Jatra, TMKOC Tarak Mehta Ka Olta Chashma show.

Favourite Movie:

This year she explore horror movies

Conjuring, Anabella and Korean webseries with mummy

Favourite songs : BTS - Life goes on , Blood, swat and tears in short ( BTS army )

Favourite colour : Purple

Favourite outfit: Jackets, one piece, shorts at home only, jeans, long loose t- shirts most black, don't like frocks at all.

Favourite Book : Geronimo Stilton series.

Love to read aloud with twin sisters

Favourite things to do : Playing with twin sisters, sketching, sensory play with sisters, writing, journling, watching movies with family. Drinking water from the jug

Wake time : Saee generally wake up around 9 to 9 :30 am and sleep around 11:30 pm

I was born and brought up in Kalyan. There are many old eating joints that still provide delicious food.

One of them is Khidki Vada Paav.

HISTORY BEHIND KHIDAKI VADA PAAV :

Every famous dish has its own and unique history. I know this because my father used to eat this vada paav.

The owners have been selling Khidki Vada since 1960 and till date provide the same delicacy. The owner of this outlet sold vada paav from his house window, and so the name is "Khidki Vada." He is the person.

who actually brought the Mumbai version of the burger into existence.

There are now many outlets available in different stations like Ulhasnagar, Badlapur, etc.

We went to this vada paav center when I was in school/college. It was our favorite. Even today, if I visit my mom, I ask my brother to bring the same vada paav.

WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL ?

The Potato Vada:

The vada is bigger than any other vada. The taste of that potato sabji is authentic and desi—pure Maharashtra style.

The coating of the besan is very thin. You will never feel that you are eating besan only. In fact, you will actually taste potato sabji and not the outer cover.

THE CHUTNEY :

They provide two types of chutney—garlic chutney and green chutney. And of course fry green chilies.

MONSOON TIPS FOR A FAMILY

I love monsoon, especially roaming with an umbrella, those muddy puddles, and wearing raincoat and muddy toes. Ahhh...!

When this happened (in my working Era)I used to get irritated. But now as a stay-at-home mom, I am craving this. 😬

TRUE!

All stay-at-home mommies, can this be relatable?

Last Sunday we went to Reliance for a monthly grocery visit in the rain. There were muddy puddles, and my little one always asked me to take her in the rain. I took her; she enjoyed it a lot, got wet, and jumped in muddy puddles, and I too enjoyed this phase. Without worrying and irritating her, I let her enjoy the way she wants.

That is my achievement. 🤩 Calming, Mom!

Anyways, this will not happen every day. ☹️ Sharing here some tips that I have followed for the last 8 years, especially for monsoon, to keep my family healthy.

MONSOON TIPS FOR A FAMILY :

1. DECLUTTER YOUR BALCONIES

We tend to put unused things on the balcony, like a toy cycle stool. The list will never end. Make sure before the monsoon to declutter your balconies. Keep it empty and clean so that even if water comes inside you, you can quickly wipe it, and there is less chance of insects and mosquitoes.

2. MOSQUITO NETTING ON WINDOWS

In summer we used to keep open windows, but in monsoon don't forget to put up netted windows. This will help in preventing bugs, houseflies, and mosquitoes in your house.

3. WATER PURIFIER

Most of the diseases are waterborne. To take extra care of your family, use a purifier. Take a new water purifier if you don't have one or do maintenance before the monsoon starts. So that you can have clean water. Carry home water in bottles wherever you go.

4. HOT /LUKEWARM WATER

If any of your family members feel cold, don't forget to have a hot water intake. Try to have it on rainy days so that it will keep your kids and other family members warm. Generally I used to give them lukewarm water to drink every day in the monsoon.

5. PRECAUTIONS WHILE BUYING VEGETABLE:

Avoid leafy vegetables and root vegetables. I still took carrot and ginger, as these are staples because chai to adrak b ke bina nahi banati. Avoid buying cauliflower, and cabbage.

6. Soups SOUPS MANDATORY IN DIET

Homemade veggie-loaded soups are a must in kids diets. Though in market there are readymade soups available. Ditch that packaged food and try to make at home. Fresh and hygiene soups should be there in your meals. I tried to make it at least twice in a week. Check out the easy recipe of corn soup

7. GUMBOOT, UMBRELLA and RAINCOAT

These are mandatory. Check it out once it is available in the house to see whether it is in good condition. Buy new only if needed. But each member should have an umbrella or raincoat. Monsoon sandals are also mandatory. Moms, don't forget to buy a new pair for you even if you are staying at home.

8. HYGIENE :

Keeping your kids safe during monsoon is a very tough job. Make a habit of washing hands with soap and water before eating anything. Also wash your kids hands, legs, and toes properly with mild soap after playing.

9. TRAVEL KIT IN MONSOON :

Rainy season and travel are the most important parts of life. Don't forget to go out in lovely weather with your babies and kids. However, you need to take extra care while travelling with babies or small kids.

Carry the following things while travelling in monsoon:

- Sturdy bags to accommodate enough things.

- Carry bags to put wet clothes or garbage.

- Wet wipes to wipe out dirt.

- Raincoat and rainy season shoes

- Clean water bottles

- Diapers and sanitizer

- Extra pair of clothes, hand towels, and handkerchief

- homemade dry snacks like chakali, chikki, laddu, etc.

- Mosquito repellent spray.

10. DRESS ACCORDINGLY MONSOON :

Although if it is not raining and kids want to play outside, put on a full-sleeved t-shirt and full pants to cover their whole body. And once they returned home, they took out those clothes and put them in the washer. Have clothes which can dry easily in monsoon season. Avoid heavy fabric clothes.

CONCLUSION:

Monsoon season is one of the most beautiful seasons of the year. It is a natural cleanser of the earth. Don't keep your kids inside the house only. Let them get wet, let them play, and let them enjoy the rain. With the above tips, you can take precautions to protect your kids and families. Don't forget to enjoy yourself too.

It is a series where 13 year old Jammi Miller gets arrested early in the morning from his home. And his act turns his parents life upside down and is giving us a panic attack as a parent.

This 4 episode series revolves around the crime investigation of the 13 years old boy. The boy belongs to the middle class family. Jammie Millers stabs her classmate Katie. And the crime investigation started. The police, the lawyer and the psychologist - everyone efforts to find out what was the motive behind the murder?

He doesn't have any past or have any worst friend circle. Even his parents raise him with good standards. They are loving parents and do not have any fights inside the house.

After watching this series, I think we parents should ask a few questions to ourselves.

Are we really busy ?

Do we have any connection with our children?

Do We need to give everything to them ?

Is it necessary to have a mobile phone at the age of 10 ?

Are we able to put our butt in their life?

Can we read our children's minds?

I know we can't pay attention to everything. But I think there should be limits on demands, social media usage.

Important lessons I learnt from this series are :

They want respect.
They want to listen without judgement.

We often think a girl child is not safe but I was wrong. Even a boy child is also not safe. Our children are not safe outside as well as inside the house too.

Only if we know what they are doing?
What is going on in their mind?
Are they getting bullied in school or even on the playground?
Are we able to talk with them?

CONCLUSION:

Adolescence is the stage where they are no more kids and not adults yet. Their major part of the brain is developing. The more chances they will get in the wrong way. It is really necessary to have connections with them. We should talk daily and give them love and respect. Parents should maintain a friendly atmosphere at home where children can share every tiny thing.

Facing this Adolescence age is very difficult for the parents. But with the right approach we can sail the boat.

Hello and welcome to my blog, especially this Friday Favorite series. This one could be the gratitude series. I am trying to figure out some positive outlooks from every week. I have tried daily gratitude journaling, but somehow I am unable to match up with that due to my busy schedule. So I wanted to get back to this series where I used to put my gratitude on a monthly basis.

This year I wanted to try it on a weekly basis. As a mom, I often get burned out, and I found that gratitude helps me in finding out the balance. Each time I am able to seek out how much I am grateful for whatever I have, I will not run in the rat race.

I am sharing my five favorite things of this week, which I love.

Ready-to-eat food is often loaded with chemicals, and so I am against it. But now there are mini summer vacations going on, and lots of screaming and constant food demand make me more irritated. And at the same time, I am telling myself to take a deep breath and not lash out with anger. Yayy, mumma… I am trying to be calm 😐 because I don't want to transfer my anger to my kids.

Frankly speaking, I am tired of cooking the same food that they always eat. I blinkit ready-to-eat kebab and roti.

I like it because, as per the ingredient list, there are no harmful ingredients, and it is tastier. You just have to shallow fry on medium flame. It took almost 10 minutes to cook perfectly.

Roti : I thought this was like Malabar Parotta. because the package was was looking like that only. When I opened the packet, it was ready-to-eat roti. Means you have to cook it on tawa. This packet contains 10 roti. Honestly, this one was not on my list, but I ran out of aata, and so I ordered it. It becomes hard after some time. So you have to eat it quickly.

The third one is a book on my list. You guys know I have a toddler, and ordering books for them is my favorite thing. Just because I don't find a kids book library in my area and I am spending a huge amount of money on this book. Shh...! You know I have these books only in Rs.80 to 90.

Currently these are our favorite books. It is all about professions. I ordered only these two books. One is a doctor, and the other one is a police officer. I love how the book is designed in pictures so that tiny little ones can relate to it. It is an interesting book, and we love it.

Fourth, my favorite is food reels. One of my favorite recipes is beetroot koshambir. Here is the link for the detailed video. Summer has already started, and so we are more into eating lots of koshambir. Beetroot is one of the things that is not liked by everyone. But trust me, I made this, and it is finished within minutes. It is so tasty.

All you have to do is boil beetroot and grate it. Mix the grated beetroot in curd. Add salt, a little bit of sugar, and mix it very well. The next part is tadka. Heat up the oil in the tadka pan, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and green chilies, and pour this tadka on the curd mixture; your delicious beetachi koshimbir is ready.

The last but not the least is a movie on Panni: this movie is one of the best movies because it is a realistic movie.

The real story of the man who fought for water with the nature - (Drought) and his postive thinking compels every one to work hard to get water. How he overcome with difficulties, his marriage and many more obstacles but still he achieve his goal. It is one of the inspiring movie that everyone should watch to know the value of water. Available on OTT platform.

HOLI 2025

Holi 2025 is a special Holi just because my twins actually understand what the festival is.

This time we also witnessed the MOON.

Holi is a spring festival filled with lots of colors and joy. Where everyone burnt all negativity in Holika Dahan and played with joy, laughter, and love. There is immense positive energy flow on the day of DHULWAD.

WHAT IS DHULWAD?

Dhulwad is a Marathi word—actual Holi people played with color. On this day, actual people used to color the Dhul (mitti) of Holika Dahan.

I got this information from my father. He told me how madly people enjoy it, and we have to enjoy it too. Because we stay in India, we have to celebrate each festival with joy.

Water, color balloons, pichakari, and permanent black and silver colors are all my favorite things. Introducing everything, my kiddo is my favorite activity.

This is my second time where I again became small and played color with them. For the last two years my Holi was confined inside the home, but this year I am grateful to the universe that I actually go out and enjoy. (A little bit, but that matters to me most.) 😊

Taking pics is mandatory nowadays to flaunt on social media. But frankly speaking, this time we both intentionally did not take a mobile with us. We mindfully enjoy the festival with friends and all the little kiddos. And so there are no photos, and I did not have any regrets. Rather, I clicked a few pics when we were at home after playing Holi.

Today I am sharing simple and easy recipes of spinach Egg fried rice. This is specially for toddlers and small kids but we adults also can eat with additional sauces and masalas. Spinach is one of the vegetables that my kids don't like and so I have to feed them in various forms. Spinach Egg fried rice is one such recipe.

HEALTH BENEFITS OF SPINACH :

Spinach is an excellent source of vitamin AC and K.
It contain irons, magnesium and calcium.

Spinach contain nitrate which helps in lower blood pressure.

RECIPE: SPINACH EGG FRIED RICE TODDLERS RECIPE

Total Time : 10 minutes

Cuisine: Indian

INGREDIENTS

Egg : 1

Spinach : chopped 1 cup

Onion : 1

Red Chilli powder: 1/4 tsp

Turmeric powder: 1/8 tsp

Salt : as per your taste

Cooked Rice : 1 cup

Oil : 1 tbsp.

DIRECTION:

1) Wash spinach under cold water and chop it.

2) Heat oil and add sliced onion. Fry it till golden colour.

3) Then add chopped spinach and fry for a minutes.

4) Next add all powder masalas and fry for two minutes.

5) Beat one egg and scramble it and mixed in that mixture very well till egg cook.

6) Now add cooked rice along with salt as per taste. Fry and fry till it mix very well on high heart .

Your delicious spinach Egg fried rice is ready to eat.

TIPS :

For adults version you can add soya sauce, chilli sauce and Schezwan sauce. You can increase the spicy quantity as per your taste.

MY REVIEW:

I received the copy from the Author to review the book. I choose this kind of GENRE because it is a political action thriller.

The story involves the lives of three different people from different backgrounds with their own missions and the way they intertwined in an untangled web of politics and intelligence.

It is a gripping story that you keep turning the page until you get to know what happened next. Is Khusru successful in escorting the warlord's daughter? Does Rekha succeed in finding Khusru? How did she turn in sex slaves? Nanda, a murderer, is able to solve the case? Save the life of his family?

The characters are complex and multifaceted. The narration shows how this character deals with their fear and desire and struggles with moral dilemmas.

I like each character. Especially Khusru. I wonder how this normal teen becomes a terrorist. What kind of life they choose and how it ended. I want to say this terrorist also has a good heart, and I feel he is the HERO in this novel.

Rekha being a doctor, married with two kids, and her obsession with Khusru is weird and heart aching. But love is blind and have no end.

The minute details of the geopolitical scenario give a realistic touch to the story. The author's writing reflects his technical knowledge and army background as well as human emotions with complex backdrops.

I like the way each chapter ends with the beautiful quotes that resemble the whole saga.

Some of my favorite quotes are:

When you leave me in the grave, don't say goodbye; remember the grave is the only curtain for the paradise behind.

You've come to know the fortunate and the in auspicious stars, but you don't know whether you yourself are fortunate or lucky.

And ever has it been known that love knows not its own depth until the hours of separation.

At the end of my life, with just one breath left, if you come, I'll sit up and sing.

Believe in love's infinite journey, for it is your own, for you are love. Love is life.

DRAWBACKS :

The story is fast-paced. Some chapters are going at a speed that I find difficult to match with pace.

And some chapters are explained in such way that you can witnessed the exact scenario.

Where as in some places tiny description of each plot, excessive cultural description, unnecessary geographical details and frequent shifts of location make a loss of interest.

Dive in to this action packed thriller.

HOLI is the festival of colors. Everyone loves to play Holi because it brings happiness and more masti. I love to play Holi, but when your toddlers or kids want to celebrate this Holi festival with you, Mommy, you need to take a lot of precautions.

WHY?

Because Holi is a festival of colors where people throw gulal powder on everyone. Mostly they apply color on your face. And if the kids are there, then chances are more kids get infected or hurt. You have to prepare your kids beforehand.

How?

The evening before Holi, there is Holika Dahan. Take your kids to this celebration and educate them about Holi.

Also tell them that in the morning everyone is going to play Holi. They will apply color, and you can use pichakari to throw water and color water on your friends. But if you do not follow rules, then you will get hurt.

So what are the RULES every kid must follow?

RULES:

🌻Close your eyes and mouth whenever any person applies color.

🌻Do not run when someone is trying to throw color on you.

9. Allow a particular time in which they have to play and within the area.

10 FAVOURITE BOOKS I READ IN 2024

This is a long post so grab your coffee and then read. I wanted to publish this post in January the first week but somehow it delayed. I guess reading is always easy, but documentation is quite tough.

2024 is the year where I achieved my reading goal. Reading makes me happy and actually it is a stress buster for me. I never keep any record so this time I decided to write my favourite books I read in 2024 which may be helpful for you too.

10 FAVOURITE BOOKS I READ IN 2024

1. POSITIVE PARENTING by REBECCA EANES:

GENRE: Parenting

RATING: 5/5

This is one of the best books I have ever read. Actually, I don't believe that books teach us about parenting. But I learned the psychology of children. It stresses more on how to behave with your partner and kids. Eanes shares her hard-won wisdom for overcoming limiting thought patterns and recognizing emotional triggers, as well as advice for connecting with kids at each stage, from infancy to adolescence. This is one of the books every parent reads who are struggling to connect with their kids.

2. NO DRAMA DISCIPLINE BY DR. DANIEL

GENRE: Psychology/Parenting

RATING: 4/5

No-Drama Discipline provides an effective, compassionate road map for dealing with tantrums, tensions, and tears—without causing a scene.

I like the way the author uses everyday situations to show the parents how it can be handled. Moreover, it is emphasized on the child's brain. The kids behavior is dependent on the working of the child's brain. That is most insightful for me as a parent.

3) SITA: WARRIOR OF MITHILA—BY AMISH

GENRE: Historical

RATING: 4.5/5

This is the second book in the Ram Chandra Series. A sequel that takes you back. Thrilling adventure that chronicles the rise of an orphan who became the prime minister. And then, a goddess before the beginning.

Ramayan has a special place in my heart because of my father. He told me a different story that is not shown in any of the epics. And Amish did the same job. His writing style is so simple and intriguing. I always wonder, who is SITA? The great warrior and intelligent princess. Amish changed my whole perspective to see the SITA.

4. HARRY POTTER 2 : SECRET OF CHAMBER BY J. K. ROWLING

GENRE: Fantasy/Fiction

RATING: 5/5

Harry Potter's summer has included the worst birthday ever, doomy warnings from a house-elf called Dobby, and rescue from the Dursleys by his friend Ron Weasley in a magical flying car! Back at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for his second year, Harry hears strange whispers echo through empty corridors - and then the attacks start. Students are found as though turned to stone.

This book is more fascinating, especially the fight between Harry and the giant snake.

5. HARRY POTTER 3 (THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN by J. K. ROLLING)

GENRE : Fantasy/Fiction

RATING: 5/5

I love this book because finally he found his godfather. Harry and Hermione time travel, and Dumbledore's attempt to save the lives of innocent people is admirable.

Some thrilling moments are like Harry's first ever Divination class, where Professor Trelawney sees an omen of death in Harry's tea leaves. But perhaps most terrifying of all are the Dementors patrolling the school grounds with their soul-sucking kiss. That is the most horrible thing I read.

This book is for everyone. I will suggest first you read the book because your imagination works terrific and then watch the movie it will be more thrilling.

6. BLUE UMBRELLA by RUSKIN BOND

GENRE: Fiction/Children

RATING: 4.5/5

This is the first ever book I listened to on audiobook. I love the narrator and am so able to listen to it. Otherwise, my earlier attempt at the audiobook had failed. I put it on speaker so that my kids also enjoyed the book.

The story of little Biniya and her village members. In exchange for her lucky leopard's claw pendant, Binya acquires a beautiful blue umbrella that makes her the envy of everyone in the village, especially Ram Bharosa, the shopkeeper.

This story inspired children not to be greedy. Best book for adults as well as for children.

7. THE GREAT TRAIN JOURNEY By RUSKIN BOND:

Genre: Fiction

Rating: 4/5

I like these books because they are all about train journeys, which are my favorite.

Ruskin BOND always loves to travel by train to admire the beauty of India's diverse landscape. The Great Train Journey is a story of a boy who travels from Dehradun to Delhi. The main highlight of the story is the people he meets during his journey. The collection of 14 short stories consists of comedy, thriller, and adventure.

8. FALLING IN LOVE BY RUSKIN BOND

Genre: Romance

Rating: 3.5/5

It is a collection of short stories mainly concerned with Ruskin Bond's emotions. I like the book because some parts are real stories of Ruskin Bond's life. The story is easy to read—simple language and romantic. This book has other stories also, which are the part of other books of Ruskin Bond.

9. YOU ARE MY BEST FRIEND by AJAY PANDEY

Genre: Non fiction

Rating: 4.5/5

Ajay is a sad person who did not find any interest in living a life after her wife's death. At his office mate's request, he was ready to attend therapy, where he met Bhawana... How she interacted with him and changed him is impressive. It is like you have a friend with whom you just sit and talk. But she was his best friend in every aspect.

10. HER LAST WISH by AJAY PANDEY

Genre : Non Fiction

Rating: 4/5

Ajay's wife is HIV positive and is going to die in 6 months. Ajay tried every possible way to save her, and he also wanted to fulfill her wish. That wish she actually wrote when she was fully drunk. But still, how an introverted husband fulfills his wife's every wish, which was almost impossible for him. The story covers the perspective point of the husband, and it also has a point of view of closely connected people. All in all, I will say the story is filled with love, trust, emotions, and respect.

CONCLUSION :

I was avid readers. Since my twins born I hardly got any time to read. Year 2024 where I decided to start my reading journey and yes, I achieved. I found two new genre and also two new platforms of reading - Audiobook and Kindle. But honestly I love to read physical book - to stay away from screen.

Things I Want to Do with Myself—Solo Date

I am a mom, and after reaching 40, I recognize the true meaning of "LOVE." Acceptance and compromise is the new love language we moms learned very well. Education, career, marriage, and then kids...our life is a roller coaster, and how often do we love ourselves?

Very little time! I think we realize the value of self-love at this age only. Where we assume we are settled 🤞 in technical words, but actually still struggling, and we convince our mind that it is okay!

It happened to me too. After struggling, crying, and laughing with kids, I realized there are many things that I always wanted to do, and I always tell myself... Ohh...it's okay...will do it next time. And next time never came. So this year I decided to create a bucket list and stick it to my wardrobe. My goal is to tick out as much as possible.

SOLO DATE IDEAS FOR MOMS

We all have many things in our minds that we didn't achieve due to the "mommy" circumstances. So if you are a mom or woman, please do consider this FEBRUARY month as a SELF LOVE month and date with yourself.

1) GO TO THE BEACH:

Yes. I always find calmness at the beach. But now I wanted to go alone all by myself. To walk on the sand barefoot. Play with waves. Sit at bay and watch the sunrise and observe what the sea, sand, and sun are trying to tell.

2) LIBRARY VISIT:

If you are a book nerd, then I am sure you must have your favorite library. I want to spend a whole day reading and learning in a pin-drop silence atmosphere.

I saw these sip and paint parties many times. People are sitting with canvas, color, and drink, and the coach is there to guide them. I want to attend this paint party.

Moms, do you love paintings or you wanted to do it since your childhood and couldn't get the chance. Then book your session with this kind of sip and paint party and enjoy this solo date.

5) SOLO TRAVELING IN HIMALAYA:

I love Himachal, especially for the mountains and cool breeze, rivers, and, of course, pahadi food. I want to explore this place all by myself. I have been here with family, but all I want to do is travel all by myself and have a thrilling experience.

6) SOLO SHOPPING AT MALLS:

We moms always shop for our kids and often visit malls with our kids. But I really want to go alone and shop peacefully. No cranky kiddo, no picking up, nothing. Just me and my shopping.

7) MEDITATION AT GARDEN:

Moms, you can do this meditation at your society garden early in the morning or else join yourself with a meditation group.

We mom always wanted to do meditation, but with kids, it is almost impossible until your kids become 10 years old. I wanted to attend that meditation class, which is conducted in the garden. With greenery and peace, I want to connect myself with my soul.

8) WANT TO DECORATE A PINTEREST FRIENDLY HOME OFFICE:

Moms, you can decorate your home office the way you want. Any pending wishlist with this office—it is time to complete this.

Yes! This is my long-pending list, which I want to do solely. My desk sometimes looks like a dumping station of our house. I want to have dedicated office space, which I decorate with all Pinterest-friendly aesthetic decor items.

9) SELF - CARE ROUTINE:

As a mom or wife, I literally forgot to take care of myself. My hair, my face, and my skin were constantly staring at me, and I ignored them like a pro. 😐

Do some painting/crocheting/threading work that you learned at school.
Treat yourself at an ice cream shop.

Create a vision board.
