More and more individuals with Alzheimer's and their families are turning to us for help, and we're responding, with innovative new programs and services.

For example, just in time for National Family Caregivers Month we're launching…

The Alzheimer's Association Caregiver Stress Check. It's the first-ever, interactive quiz that helps caregivers identify their symptoms of stress and provides them with a tailored list of helpful referrals and resources. Check out the quiz starting November 1 at www.alz.org.

I'm sure you agree that we must always be there with programs and support for individuals and families coping with Alzheimer's. And that the Alzheimer's Association must continue to foster more funding for important Alzheimer research to develop new treatments and preventions.
That's why raising awareness about Alzheimer's disease throughout November is so important. Please send a generous gift today

September 21 is World Alzheimer's Day

Our heartfelt thanks go out to all who took part in our World Alzheimer's Day Matching Gift Challenge, and made it such a resounding success!

We raised over $500,000 to help us advance our mission to fight Alzheimer's disease. I had two grandparents pass away from Alzheimer’s. Both were my mom’s parents. My grandfather got it when I was only a kid. My grandmother got it when I was allot older. Seeing her deteriorate over time was just awful. First her speech went. She was physically find and on her own but nothing that came out of her month made sense. It was all baby gibber. My aunt tried to take care of her but it got to be to much. She ended up in a nursing home where many years later she passed on. Seeing a love one’s life deteriorate over time is no fun to family members.

My memories of my grandparents are from the good days. Those are the times we should remember them by and not by the bad times.

Please click on the comment link at the bottom to share your thoughts and memories.
