Baby Ryse is due next week, and the daddy-to-be could-n’t be happier. Russell and wife Tammy chose the name and unusual spelling based on their initials: “R” (Russell) “Y” (Yamanoha) “S” (Sumida, Tammy’s maiden name) and “E” to end it.

HENRY Kapono is closing up shop - his “shop” at Aloha Tower Marketplace, at least. But the legendary musician has bigger plans for his production company, Kapono Inc. He says this wasn’t a financial decision, but he felt he’d accomplished what he set out to accomplish and is ready to move on. Kapono’s lease is up in 2006, and he’s ready to return his focus to writing and music.
