Henry Peter Wiebe: minister and founder of Bethesda Psychiatric Hospital; b. 29 September 1898 in the village of Blumenhof, Borozenko Colony, in the vicinity of Chortitza, the oldest of the Mennonite colonies in the Ukraine, to Peter and Anna (Warkentin) Wiebe. On 17 October 1926 he married Maria Unrau.

My father outward appearance differed from Russian children

In summer, 1933, my newborn father, have kept on a steps of orphan asylum of the district centre, settlement Chkalove (westward from Hortizha colony, now: Nikopol district of the Dniepropetrovsk oblast, Ukraine). Until now, my father square name and origin still unknown.
Around Chkalove.westward from Dnieper, located Mennonite settlements: Borosenko, Felsenbach, Steinbach, Blumenhof, Heuboden, Tosenfeld, Annafeld, NeuChortitza, Gnadenthal, Gruenfeld, Nikolaithal, Schoenforf, Nepluevka.
Closer to the river Dnieper, on the road, there was a settlement Chkalove (here, have kept my newborn father on a steps of orphan asylum, in summer, 1933).
Further (15 km), on the river located the Port Nikopol. From Nikopol my ancestors, after they have kept my father, could go to north-up to Dniepropetrovsk, And next by train. Alternatively way on the south to Odessa, whence they could to departure by ship.
I assume, that the big Mennonites community has left completely in immigration, thereat nobody was to keep the child .
And nobody wanted any dangerous journey of a thousand miles for this child.

In orphan asylum, the Soviet authority has given him a  name – Timoshenko Alexey Ivanovich.
During the  world warII,  he  was the homeless child. After the war he was learnt, became talented Engineer, participated in development of spaceship at the  “Yuzhmash” factory in Dniepropetrovsk.
He was occupied by a science, had some industrial patents.
He died in October, 1999.

Three days ago I have made trying intently discover history place, were my unknown ancestor lives – south of Russian Ekaterinoslav Guberny (now – Dniepropetrovsk oblast, Ukraine).Then, I have found out Russian mennonite history. I began reviewed old Mennonites photos, and I have seen that my father is very similar to these people. And Hortitza Russian Mennonites are rather liking to my father and me.
Furthermore, I has understood that not everything transmitted by word of mouth.
And much is transmitted with genes, hereditably. Most of Mennonite foundation are accepted in my family.
I has led to the conclusion, that parents of my father were Russian Mennonites.
The father never knew who he was actually, but meanwhile it has rescued him.
From fire of madness created in the homeland of his ancestors.
Can you help me  identification of personality of my father? Who is he?
