20 Game Winning Streak for the Bulls on TNT

The Bulls have now won 20 straight home games in a row while playing on TNT.The Chicago Bulls beat the Cavaliers 99-93 in Chicago on Thursday night. The interesting facts about this game is that they are 4-0 against the defending champs this season. Also, they’ve won 20 consecutive TNT-aired games.

There’s talk about the Bulls still having a chance to make the playoffs as the 8^th seed in the eastern conference. After winning the game last night, they now sit one game behind the Pacers for eighth place.

With only 7 games left in the regular season, Chicago is in war with Miami Heat and the Indiana Pacers for the last spot. Both of those teams have a tougher remaining schedule: Miami's last four are at Toronto and Washington, then home vs. the Cavs and Wizards. Indiana plays at Toronto and Cleveland and hosts the Raptors, Bucks and Hawks.

The Bulls, in the meantime, face only one team with a winning record in their final seven games.

LeBron James passes Shaquille O'Neal for seventh on NBA's all-time scoring list

James achieves another accolade as he surpasses another NBA legend in scoring. The Cavaliers forward passed Shaquille O'Neal with his 28,599th career point during Thursday's 99-93 loss to the Bulls, good for seventh-most in history.

Dirk Nowitzki, who surpassed 30,000 points earlier this season, is next on the list with 30,181 and counting. Wilt Chamberlain is fifth all time with 31,419 points.

So far this season, James has already passed: Moses Malone, Elvin Hayes, Hakeem Olajuwon, Oscar Robertson and O'Neal.

Tar Heels Make It to the Final Four

On Saturday, April 1 University of North Carolina will play in the Final Four. The Tar Heels will go against the University of Oregon Ducks. North Carolina fought through each game as if it was their last. Now the Tar Heels have an opportunity to play in the semifinal game in the NCAA tournament. North Carolina has reached 20 Final Fours and is back again for the second year in a row.

On Saturday, April 1 Gonzaga University will play in the Final Four. The Bulldogs will go against the University of South Carolina Gamecocks. Gonzaga fought through each game in order to have an opportunity to play in the semifinal and just maybe the national title. This will be their first appearance at the semifinals.

During the Houston Rockets’ loss to the Warriors 113-106, James Harden became the first player in NBA history to score and assist on 2,000 points in a season. Houston Rockets’ MVP candidate proves how dominant and efficient he has been through the course of this season. He is providing more reasons why he should be MVP of the NBA. Harden is currently leading the league in assist.

With the direction the league is headed, James Harden won’t likely be the only player to reach this milestone. In fact, there’s a chance that Russell Westbrook joins Harden this season. He’s assisted on 1,740 points so far.

Russell Westbrook highest-scoring triple-double in NBA history!

In the chase to pass Oscar Robertson's triple-double legacy, Russell Westbrook took upon himself to break more records along the way on Wednesday night at Orlando.

Oklahoma City's MVP candidate once again gave the basketball community a reason why he should be named the most valuable player with his highest-scoring triple-double of all time, finishing with 57 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists in the Thunder's 114-106 victory over the Magic.

Westbrook, who is closing in on joining Robertson as the only players in league history to average a triple-double for an entire season, is now tied with James Harden and Hall-of-Famers Wilt Chamberlain and Elgin Baylor for most 50-point triple-doubles in a career. He now has 38 triple-doubles on the season, just three shy of Robertson's all-time single season record of 41. The Thunder (43-31) have eight regular season games remaining.
