Back in January, CBS' Watson was not renewed for a third season, indicating that the show had been quietly canceled. However, recent data suggests that it was actually one of the network's most-watched shows and performed better than some shows that were renewed.

'Watson' Was Quietly Canceled

When it debuted back in January 2025, Watson was an immediate hit as the show brought in a record-breaking 18.7 million viewers in its series premiere. While interest in the show waned significantly after that, Deadline reported that CBS would likely “wait to see how Watson performs after its March 1 return" before deciding the show's fate.

Apparently, CBS did not like what it saw from the numbers.

Back in January, the network announced that 10 shows had been renewed for the next season, and Watson was not among them, quietly ending the show's run after just two seasons.

The show starred Morris Chestnut as a medical-mystery-solving iteration of Dr. John Watson, the iconic partner of Sherlock Holmes. Unfortunately for fans, it ended on a massive and now permanent cliffhanger.

Watson 'Overperformed'

While CBS has been pretty clear that the show's cancellation was due to disappointing ratings, the fact is that it actually performed better than other shows that were granted additional seasons.

In fact, Watson was included on Variety's list of the 100 most-watched series of the 2025-25 season, checking in at No. 74.

"It’s sometimes a mystery when high-performing shows get the ax, and that was the case again this season with Netflix’s Boots (6.5 million), CBS’ Watson (6.4 million), Netflix’s The Abandons (5.8 million) and CBS’ DMV (5.7 million)," Variety reported earlier this month.

"Those shows all made it to the end-of-year top 100 list, yet were canceled for a variety of stated reasons. Some were blamed for pricey budgets or declining viewership. And in the case of Boots, there was some concern there was a politics angle as well. No matter the reason, they all performed better than many shows that are getting another season," Variety continued.

While Watson's viewership may not have lived up to CBS' expectations, that does not change the fact that it was among the network's most-watched shows during its final season.

All of which is to say I was hyped to get a remote preview build of the upcoming remake Halo: Campaign Evolved for my Xbox Series X. It consisted of two levels—The Silent Cartographer, which has been featured in trailers, and Assault on the Control Room—and came with several skulls already unlocked. Nothing from the recently announced new missions was available, nor was a mode called Campaign Remix.

Diving into the action, the standout is, of course, the graphical overhaul. Developed in Unreal Engine 5, Campaign Evolved looks excellent as you drive your Warthog around the beaches or engage in tank combat across snow-covered zones. It’s a sizable jump beyond anything we’ve seen from the franchise, including Halo Infinite.

Within that, though, the beauty of the exterior sections is such that it really drives home just how bland and repetitive the interiors are. The fact that the original game faced a time crunch and did some recycling of locations isn’t news, nor is how similar long stretches of hallways can be on some levels, but with the graphical glow-up it stands out more than ever. I get wanting to remain faithful to the source material, but it feels like more could have been done to spice up some of these areas.

One concession to modernize the game a little is the introduction of visible waypoint markers so that you don’t get turned around inside those similar hallways and rooms. Notable changes to the original on the gameplay side include sprinting, which looks fine when you have a two-handed weapon and all kinds of silly when you’re holding the pistol, and aiming down sights using the left trigger. You also can now hijack Covenant vehicles as well as pick up and wield swords dropped by Elites.

These changes are welcome, making the gameplay feel a bit more modern, although purists will doubtless deride them rather than simply not utilizing them. We’ll have to wait and see if the three-mission prequel campaign unveils any additional tricks—with no preexisting levels constraining it, there’s certainly an opportunity for the developer to stretch its wings with the Master Chief.

After spending a few hours playing the levels and messing with skulls, I’m left with two distinct thoughts: 1) fans of the Halo series should thoroughly enjoy the updated look and gameplay tweaks, and 2) newcomers to the franchise might find the level design outdated—the demo contained arguably the two best levels in the game, and even there it was noticeable.

There is, of course, a lot more to be seen and experienced with Halo: Campaign Evolved, and on a personal level, I cannot wait to play the full game repeatedly. I just hope it does well enough that we finally get a long-overdue remake of Halo 3, the actual best game in the series.

The airline had been planning to outfit a fleet of its Airbus A321neo aircraft specifically for premium transcontinental routes with lie-flat business class seats. However, it's now been years, and those seats still haven't been approved by the FAA, leading Delta to quietly reverse course.

Delta's Plans For Lie-Flat Business Class

Back in 2022, Delta announced plans to outfit a dedicated fleet of aircraft specifically for premium transcontinental routes with lie-flat beds from manufacturer Safran SA. These were not going to be the kind of reclining seat you're used to on a domestic flight, but the type of lie-flat seats you'd typically only find on a premium international flight.

The plan was to give high-end travelers a reason to choose Delta over competitors United and American on those marquee routes between cities like Los Angeles and New York City or Boston and San Francisco.

Delta had selected a specific seat design that was considered superior to what its competitors were offering. While United and American offered seats in a herringbone configuration, Delta wanted its seats in a reverse herringbone configuration, giving each passenger more privacy in addition to the extra space.

It was a bold plan that obviously turned heads from frequent fliers, but Delta ran into problems.

Delta Runs Into Issues for Years

While this obviously sounded like a good plan, there was one thing that stood in the way: getting the seats approved by the FAA. It's been about two years, and that still hasn't happened.

Every seat on a commercial aircraft has to pass a series of FAA safety tests before it can carry passengers. Unfortunately for Delta, the airline's chosen design kept failing those tests, and the delays began piling up. The first plane built with the new cabin was delivered in 2024, but then was immediately put into storage. It sat there for over a year with no approval in sight.

Rather than let brand-new planes collect dust indefinitely while the airline waited for approval, Delta came up with a stopgap solution: strip out the planned cabin and replace it with an oversized domestic first class layout instead.

The result was a plane crammed with 44 first-class recliners. The seats were obviously not the lie-flat beds passengers were promised, but enough to get the planes flying in time for the busy summer travel season.

“Sometimes the supply chain throws us a curve,” Mauricio Parise, Delta’s vice president of Customer Experience Design, said in February. “Rather than wait, we chose to implement a creative solution to ensure our customers had access to some of our newest aircraft in time for the summer travel season.”

Despite the "creative solution," Delta was still facing major delays. While the airline originally had a target of 2024, the estimate has now shifted to 2028, more than three years late, marking one of the longest cabin certification disruptions in recent history.

Delta Waves the White Flag

After years of delays, Delta is quietly waving the white flag on the whole plan and is willing to pull the plug and go back to the drawing board with a much longer ETA rather than continue waiting for a FAA approval that might never come.

While Delta originally planned for the new seats to be in service beginning in 2028, the airline is now estimating that they will be available in 2028, and it's pitting two suppliers against each other to try to make it happen.

Delta Chief Marketing and Product Officer Ranjan Goswami said in an interview with Bloomberg that after the long certification delays, the airline is now evaluating a new seat from Thompson Aero Seating Ltd. to compete against Safran SA.

Goswami said that the airline will simply proceed with whichever supplier secures FAA approval first. Regardless, it's been a long and frustrating process, and it will still be years before the promised seats ever make it to customers.

Now, after more than a decade of false starts, developmental purgatory, and wild franchise crossover rumors, another 21 Jump Street spinoff flick is in the works.

By naming the brand-new, real-world project 24 Jump Street, the studio is completely leaning into the joke, establishing that the fictional, unseen events of 23 Jump Street already happened during one of those chaotic, off-screen missions.

The clever title shift also solves a decade-long logistical headache for the studio. For years, Sony attempted to mount a massive, heavily leaked crossover film titled MIB 23, which would have seen Hill and Tatum's buffoonish characters crossing paths with the sleek alien investigators from the Men in Black universe. While Channing Tatum famously teased that the script was "the best script that I’ve ever read for a third movie," the logistically complex crossover was ultimately scrapped, allowing the creative team to build this fresh direct sequel from scratch.

When Will '24 Jump Street' Debut?

While Channing Tatum currently holds an official studio offer to return to the gym locker room as Jenko, full contract negotiations are expected to accelerate rapidly over the summer.

With the script locked in and the core creative engine back in alignment, 24 Jump Street has instantly catapulted to the absolute front of Sony's production slate. It may have taken a decade of scrapped plans, leaked emails, and reality-bending studio concepts to get here, but the return of Hollywood's most iconic undercover duo proves that some comedic formulas are simply too big to die.

Original directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller — whose live-action directorial debut with 2012's 21 Jump Street shocked critics by pulling a Spectacular 85% score on Rotten Tomatoes — are returning to spearhead the project as primary producers alongside veteran hitmaker Neal H. Moritz. Tatum and Reid Carolin are set to produce under their Free Association banner, while Hill and Matt Dines will produce under Strong Baby.

Salom, principal at JW Zunino & Associates, which provides water-conscious, environmental design for residents, business owners, and public entities in the Las Vegas Valley. “Many cacti/succulent plants have incredible flower color as well.”

Here, we present expert-approved steps for xeriscaping, tips for plant selection, and mistakes to avoid as you remove excess green from your yard and put it in your wallet. If you’re still new to the xeriscaping concept, turn first to our handy guide to the basics.

How to Start Xeriscaping 

The prospect of re-landscaping your yard can be daunting, so just take it step by step. And if you’re a beginner—or if you’re simply slammed as you juggle soccer practices, ukulele lessons, work deadlines, and 87 other responsibilities—remember that it’s OK to start small. “You don’t have to organize a full makeover of your yard right away,” says Dakota Petersen, who has participated in several landscape restoration projects around Phoenix and Scottsdale and at Cosanti Originals, where he acts as the outreach and development ambassador. “Try rearranging an area that you’re not satisfied with and incorporating some xeriscaping techniques.”

How to Xeriscape Your Yard, Step by Step

1. Think about how you plan to use your yard. Will you be hosting backyard gatherings or do you want a secluded oasis? Do you have kids and dogs that require a bit of traditional turf grass, whether real or artificial, or will you be fine with a full xeriscape? How you’ll use the space should drive how you xeriscape it.
2. Gather ideas through different avenues. Wander your neighborhood and make mental notes of what you like and don’t like. Visit your local botanic and horticultural gardens. On your next local hike, observe which plants grow naturally in your area without human intervention. You can even join your local cactus and succulent society. It’s also advantageous to consult with a landscape architect or designer to discuss ideas.
3. Familiarize yourself with your own terrain. Observe where the sun shines and where it’s shady. Consider how rainwater flows and drains through the landscape based on slope or output from the downspouts. “Get to know your soil,” says Jack Dash, the gardens and facilities manager at Tucson’s Tohono Chul Sonoran Botanic Garden and Arboretum and author of The Southwest Native Plant Primer. “Some plants will prefer sandy, well-draining soil, while others are tolerant of heavy clays.” Also think about pests like rabbits, deer, gophers, and groundhogs and whether it’s worth installing pest-deterring fences or wiring.
4. Plan your layout. Decide where your hardscape will go, then your trees, and work down to your smallest plants. Think about the layers of your landscape. “Trees provide an overstory for shrubs that act as nurse plants for perennials and succulents,” Dash says. “Layering plantings will allow you to maximize your plantable area.” During this step, you’ll also decide how and if to incorporate hydrozoning.
5. Remove or reduce turf. “Turf requires a lot of resources to stay healthy in an arid landscape,” says Paige Anthony, a landscape architect with Tucson-based McGann and Associates. She adds that it’s best to be selective when incorporating grass and limiting it to functional, rather than decorative, use cases. “Having a grassy area where you play or relax is okay.”
6. Install hardscape. After installing fences, decks, and drainage, it’s time to place boulders, gravel or flagstone paths, and other rock elements.
7. Amend your soil. Doing so may mean tilling better quality soil into your native soil, mounding up berms, or creating raised beds, says Annie Shaw, co-founder of Xeric Oasis, a San Francisco-based sustainable landscape design firm and 2025 Best of Houzz award-winner.
8. Plant drought-tolerant species. When doing so, remember to create watering basins to improve water flow to the roots. Additionally, “ensure that you plant the right species in the appropriate space,” says Angelica Elliott, assistant director of public horticulture at Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix. “Confirm that the plants receive adequate sunlight and that the area where they are placed is spacious enough to accommodate their mature size.” After the plants are in the ground, consider adding a slow-release fertilizer appropriate to the species.
9. Install efficient irrigation. Design your irrigation system to eliminate water waste. If possible, incorporate rainwater harvesting. 
10. Add organic groundcover. Gravel, decomposed granite, and crushed rock are all viable groundcover options too, but they hold more heat. Organic options like mulch, plant debris, and/or wood chips “can help increase the nutrients in the soil naturally over time and support healthy roots and happy plants,” Anthony says. “[They also] help insulate the soil from heat and cold, build up soil nutrients, and [are] renewable resources.”
11. Revel in your fabulously xeriscaped yard. Sit back with a cold one and admire your handiwork.

Best Plants for Xeriscaping

The best plants for your xeriscaped, low-water-needs yard will be (wait for it…) plants that require minimal water. It’s not quite as simple though as heading to the local home and garden store and tossing a bunch of plants labeled “low water” into your cart. “Plantings should be site specific,” Anthony says. “You have to consider sun exposure, soil conditions, and how [the] landscape will be used.”

The following plants are known for thriving in xeric landscapes in the U.S., but before buying, make sure to double-check that your selections are right for your USDA Zone.

Common Xeriscaping Mistakes to Avoid

Moving forward without a plan

“One of the most tempting mistakes to make early on is to go to your local home improvement store and simply purchase whatever they happen to have that looks ‘deserty,’” Petersen says. “Sometimes these stores can have great options at good prices, but a carefully designed xeriscape will require a patient and resourceful approach.” 

Not researching your plants

Know their preferences for soil, sun, water, and care. “Choosing the wrong plants for your climate is definitely a big mistake,” Shaw says. “Choosing the wrong plants for your soil type is the bigger mistake. That causes more death.”

Planting too densely

Remember that the plants you buy from the nursery are not at their mature size. Don’t plant them too close to your house or a narrow walkway. Also, expect there to be more open space in your yard initially. “Wait and see what happens over a year,” says Anthony, noting you can always add more if you want. In the meantime, sit back. “There is joy and learning in watching them grow.”

Underwatering and overwatering

Xeriscaped yards need less water, but they do need some water. That’s especially true for roughly the first year after planting, when many plants need additional water to establish a strong root system. Of course, once they’re established, be careful not to overwater them. Adjust irrigation to the species of plant and the seasons. (Most plants need less water during shorter, cooler winter days.) Some plants need to dry out completely between watering, notes Shaw. “For these plants, ‘treat them mean, keep them keen’ is the adage,” she says. “Just ignore them.”

Setting the bar too high

“Get some easy, easy plants,” Shaw says. “If you can keep them alive, then try something trickier. And, it’s important to know that some plants are going to die. Look at it as an opportunity to try some new plants.”

How Much Does Xeriscaping Cost?

As with any home improvement project, there’s a wide range in potential upfront cost. “There’s no Kelly Blue Book for gardens,” Shaw laughs. In the San Francisco Bay area where she designs gardens, she estimates pricing for a professionally xeriscaped yard will fall between $25,000 and $250,000.

Key elements that will impact your cost include:

• Size of the area you’re xeriscaping
• Extent to which you’re amending the soil
• Hardscape choices like rocks, paths, seating areas, decks, outdoor kitchens, and water features
• Irrigation system parts and installation
• Plant size, type, and density of planting
• Mulch choice
• Low voltage lighting design and installation
• Professional help, both design and installation

Should I try DIY Xeriscaping?

The answer depends significantly on your skillset and resources. If you understand low-water plants, soil quality, and irrigation systems, not to mention landscape design principles like repeating patterns and textures in a way that feels harmonious, you might consider xeriscaping yourself. 

Choosing to xeriscape yourself has potential to cut the price roughly in half, Salom of JW Zunino & Associates estimates. But, he adds, “usually something that might take you a month will take a landscape contractor a week.” It’s also very physically demanding work.

To save money, consider:

• Working with a professional on the xeriscape design and plant choices and then tackling the installation yourself.
• Installing your xeriscaping incrementally. For example, you could start with a section of your front yard or an exterior border in your backyard.

Xeriscape Before-and-After Ideas

The first film hit the streamer on Sept. 23, 2020, amassing 1.165 billion minutes viewed during its debut week. It peaked at No. 2 on the Nielsen streaming chart that week. Enola Holmes 2 premiered on Nov. 4, 2022. This one surpassed its predecessor in its first week, clocking in at 64 million hours viewed within the first three days on Netflix. It climbed to the top spot of Netflix's weekly streaming chart. As a franchise, Enola Holmes has fared well critically, sitting at 91% and 93% on the Rotten Tomatoes Tomatometer for the first and second movies, respectively.

The synopsis for Enola Holmes 3 reads as follows: "Adventure chases detective Enola Holmes to Malta, where personal and professional dreams collide on a case more tangled and treacherous than any she has faced before." Netflix unveiled the official trailer this week, and it whisks away our sleuthing lead to a new locale, where she prepares to say "I Do" to Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge). Naturally, shenanigans ensue.

In addition to Brown and Partridge, Enola Holmes 3 stars Henry Cavillas Sherlock Holmes, Helena Bonham Carter as Eudoria Holmes, Himesh Patel as Dr. Watson, Sharon Duncan-Brewster as Mira Troy, and Susan Wokoma as Edith. Philip Barantini directs from a screenplay by Jack Thorne, who's penned every film in the franchise thus far.

Hellboy, the initial 2004 masterpiece from Guillermo Del Toro and starring Ron Pearlman, is leaving the streaming platform on July 1, alongside a number of Oscar-winning and nominated films like Bohemian Rhapsody and American Hustle.

Those hoping to see the film will have just over three weeks left to catch it on Netflix.

Ron Pearlman Received Acclaim for His Role

Legendary movie critic Roger Ebert raved about the film, which he gave 3.5 out of 4 stars, but paid particular attention to the acting from Pearlman.

"And in Ron Perlman, it has found an actor who is not just playing a superhero, but enjoying it; although he no doubt had to endure hours in makeup every day, he chomps his cigar, twitches his tail and battles his demons with something approaching glee. You can see an actor in the process of making an impossible character really work," Ebert said.

What Is 'Hellboy'?

Mike Mignola, who initially wrote the comic for which the movie was based, was pleased with Del Toro's work.

"I'm very happy with them. It was a fantastic experience working on the movies, I'm happy all the fans were happy with the films even though they were different from the comics," he said of the movies.

The movie, like Mignola mentions, diverts slightly from the source material.

"At the end of World War II, the Nazis attempt to open a portal to a paranormal dimension in order to defeat the Allies, but are only able to summon a baby demon who is rescued by Allied forces and dubbed 'Hellboy,'" the synopsis from Rotten Tomatoes reads. "Sixty years later, Hellboy serves as an agent in the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense, where he, aided by Abe Sapien, a merman with psychic powers, and Liz Sherman, a woman with pyrokinesis, protects America against dark forces."

The movie fared well with critics, who gave the movie an 81% on Rotten Tomatoes. Fans were slightly less impressed, giving the film a 66% on Rotten Tomatoes and 6.9 out of 10 on iMBD.

Perhaps the weirdest of the bunch is Blue Velvet. This 1986 mystery thriller stars Dennis Hopper, Kyle MacLachlan and Isabella Rossellini and made under $9 million at the box office. It starts with a college student rummaging through his hometown, only to find a severed human ear lying in a field.

This disturbing, yet intriguing image leads to a story filled with sexual perversion and mystery. Viewers were originally deterred by Lynch's odd vision, but the story's characters and thrills are now some of the greatest ever put to the big screen. The film is rated the weirdest film of all time by IMDb users.

Famous film critic Roger Ebert wrote about the controversy surrounding the film in a retrospective piece in 2012. Ebert could never accept the movie as one that would resonate with casual audiences.

"Maybe some critics have seen so many movies they have forgotten how ordinary people look at them. For most people, movies aren’t about style, they’re about the characters in them, and what happens to those characters, and what it means. And in “Blue Velvet,” there are some scenes in which a woman is degraded and humiliated and made to suffer obscenely, and other scenes in which we’re supposed to giggle because the call letters of the local station are WOOD, and they give the time “at the sound of the falling tree.” Sorry, but I just couldn’t get my lips to smile."

Lynch's surrealist direction style and odd sense of humor always made him stand out, for better or for worse. Blue Velvet is just the prime example of a man's entirely strange body of work.

In total, nine U.S. states have changed their drinking laws, relaxing on bar opening times and other things, in the spirit of the 2026 World Cup.

The nine U.S. states that have changed their laws include:

• New York
• Massachusetts
• Kansas
• Missouri
• Pennsylvania
• Rhode Island
• Washington
• Georgia
• New Jersey

In New York, bars and restaurants will be allowed to serve alcohol until 4 a.m. throughout the tournament. In Kansas and Missouri, bars and restaurants will be allowed to serve alcohol from 6 a.m. until 5 a.m. Massachusetts, meanwhile, has extended drinking hours until 3 a.m.

Pennsylvania has extended its drinking hours by two hours, pushing the closing time for bars and restaurants to 4 a.m. Rhode Island has pushed its limit to 3 a.m., though bars and restaurants can stay open until 4 a.m.

Washington, Georgia and New Jersey have extended their hours, as well.

The World Cup, which will feature 48 teams, is set to have more than 100 games across Mexico, the United States and Canada.

Much of the country is going all-out in anticipation.

Last year, my iPhone failed three different ways on a motorcycle trip. A water crossing killed the charging port, summer heat caused repeated overheating warnings, and days of vibration eventually wrecked the camera. That's when I started wondering whether riders had it right all along with dedicated GPS units.

Garmin's new Zumo XT3 arrived just before my first major off-road ride of the year, giving me the perfect excuse to find out. After three months of testing—including a multi-day trip through the Appalachian Mountains—I'm convinced this rugged GPS is one of the best upgrades adventure riders can make.

What Is the Garmin Zumo XT3?

The Zumo XT3 is Garmin’s latest-and-greatest motorcycle GPS. If you’re familiar with the outgoing XT2, about 90 percent of the XT3 will look and feel familiar, but Garmin has added a laundry list of features beneath the surface to broaden the XT’s appeal beyond the usual adventure and touring crowds. 

At its core, the XT3 is a tougher, faster, and even more reliable evolution of the XT platform. With a wider network of global satellites to pull from and significantly improved computing power, every notable function on the XT3 is quicker, more accurate, and more efficient, whether you’re building a custom route or searching for a spot to grab a hot meal and a cold beer after a long day in the saddle.  

The XT3 isn’t just more of the same we’ve come to expect from Garmin, however, because the brand has added a host of new functions that cater to the sportier side of motorcycling. In addition to tracking and logging your routes, the XT3 now does the same for your lean angles, acceleration, and braking forces along every section of your ride, allowing you to look back and see how you’re progressing on your favorite stretch of twisties.

If you really want to get into the nitty-gritty of performance-forward riding, however, the XT3’s advanced analytics open the door for Garmin’s new “performance package,” which allows you to track your laptimes, race lines, and individual segments on thousands of closed-course racetracks and drag strips all over the world.  

Garmin Zumo XT3 GPS Overall Impressions

Full disclosure: I’m fairly new to the Garmin ecosystem. I’ve used their watches in the past and borrowed an XT2 with pre-loaded tracks a time or two, but I’ve never actually owned any of the brand’s standalone GPS units or used any of its corresponding route-planning software. 

Bearing that in mind, my overall impression of the XT3 is that it can be as simple or as sophisticated as you need. When it comes to basic point-to-point navigation, the Zumo XT3 couldn’t be easier or more user-friendly: Punch in your destination, give the unit a moment to calculate, and then off you go. 

The keyword there is “a moment” because compared to the XT2 I used most recently, the XT3 is blisteringly fast. Garmin doesn’t publish the technical specs of the upgraded processor used in the XT3, but the system never took more than a few seconds to calculate or correct a route, whether I missed a turn around town or hit an unexpected road closure in the middle of the woods. 

That observation extended to even the most remote impromptu route changes. Garmin’s “adventurous routing” feature, which allows the XT3 to calculate custom routes with the maximum amount of turns, elevation changes, and unpaved roads, can easily be activated and utilized deep into the backcountry with little to no delay. 

Don’t want to hit that same old forest road you usually take? Just tell the XT3 how far you want to ride and how gnarly you want the terrain to be, and then choose a direction to travel. You can even have the XT3 create a custom “loop” to ensure you end up back where you started, which means you can skip 99 percent of the planning typically required for a day of exploration and let the GPS do the work for you.   

With that being said, those who choose to build their own custom routes with specific stops and points of interest (think a multi-day motorcycle camping trip) should expect a learning curve. Search the internet or talk to current Garmin owners, and this will be the single most common complaint you hear: there’s simply no consensus on how to best go about this. 

Legacy users will swear that Garmin Basecamp, a mapping program launched back in 2009, is still the way to go. Others say creating GPX files in third-party programs like Gaia is vastly superior. 

As for Garmin themselves, what I think I understand after reading through their numerous online resources is that you download the Garmin Tread, Garmin Explore, Garmin Connect, and Garmin Express applications for best results (assuming you want your GPS, mobile phone, and personal computer all working in sync), and only then will you be able to create, share, and import the sort of complex GPX maps and tracks required for multi-day epics. 

That’s a long-winded way of saying that regardless of whether you choose to stick to what seems to be Garmin’s recommended approach or defer to the wisdom of YouTube, you’ve got several hours of study, trial, and error to look forward to before you’ll be able to use this device anywhere near its maximum potential. 

Key Features and Tech

As I mentioned before, one of the biggest selling points of the new XT3 over any of Garmin’s legacy XT navigators is that it got a major upgrade in the processing department. A common complaint with the previous Zumo XT2 was that it took a considerable amount of time to calculate a route regardless of how much or how little signal was available. That’s no longer the case. 

Speaking of signal, the XT3 also got a major improvement in the accuracy department by upgrading from a 10-Hz Multi-GNSS sensor to a 25-Hz Multi-GNSS unit. That means it’s now calculating and updating its position on the map up to 25 times per second, more than double the previous model’s performance. 

This is one of the ways Garmin is able to provide the lightning-fast data acquisition required to support the faster pace of road and drag racing applications. Personally, I didn’t get a chance to use the “performance pack” as my track days are few and far between this year, but if you’re interested in honing your lap times using in-depth analytics, the Performance Package offers a plug-and-play approach for $10 a month. 

Another key update to the XT3 is that its internal storage capacity has doubled, giving owners up to 64 gigs of data as standard. For reference, that’s more than enough space to store every BDR in the country on your hard drive with plenty of room to spare. 

Garmin has also upgraded the XT3’s weatherproofing to an IPX67 rating. Previous iterations were already fully waterproof and submersible for up to 30 minutes, but the new designation means the XT3 is now fully protected from dust of any kind as well. 

I’d also be remiss if I didn’t point out that despite all the upgraded tech and new features, Garmin elected to keep the asking price for the Zumo XT3 ($600) the same as the outgoing unit. In fact, because Garmin also introduced a smaller 4.7-inch version of the XT3 ($500) alongside the standard 6-inch unit, you now wield the brand’s latest-and-greatest tech for less cash than ever before.

Final Verdict

If you’re tired of relying on your smartphone to explore parts unknown, Garmin’s new Zumo XT3 is exactly what the doctor ordered. At $500-$600, it certainly isn’t cheap, but all things considered, it’s a lot cheaper than replacing a wrecked iPhone while also adding some much-appreciated redundancy to your backcountry loadout. 

The XT3 is the fastest, most accurate, and most capable moto-specific GPS the brand has offered to date, and while user-friendliness is a relative concept on such a complex piece of equipment, I suspect it’s also the brand’s easiest-to-use motorcycle GPS to date. 

The fact that Garmin was able to improve the Zumo’s performance, precision, and appeal without increasing the price makes one thing clear: If you’re ready to bite the bullet and invest in a proper motorcycle GPS, there’s never been a better time to step up to a Garmin.

I’ve been riding, crashing, and wrenching on motorcycles for over 20 years now. In travel mode, the Mini House is a small, single-axle caravan measuring just 13.1 feet long and 6.8 feet wide. That makes it compact enough to be considered by owners who don’t want a massive truck or full-size SUV just to go away for the weekend. Los Angeles Dodgers two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani is the consensus best player in baseball. He won back-to-back NL MVP Awards in 2024 and 2025 after helping the Dodgers to consecutive World Series championships, to say nothing of his 2021 and 2023 AL MVP Awards.

But the ex-Cubs star thinks the best player in the game resides in the Big Apple.

During an exclusive interview with Men's Journal, Rizzo talked about his new broadcasting career and shared some mid-season takes on the 2026 MLB campaign. Speaking of his former teammate, the three-time All-Star named New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge the best player in baseball, even over Ohtani.

"The Yankees are deep this year," Rizzo said. "(Their) pitching, their lineup is very, very deep, offensively as well. Judge going down is going to hurt them, but I think they’re more built this year, more than ever, to sustain and hold down the fort while he’s getting healthy…He’s the best player in the world."

Last week, the Yankees announced that Judge had a stress fracture in his right first rib and would be re-evaluated in four to six weeks.

Before his injury, Judge was batting .248 with 17 homers, 38 RBIs, 42 walks and a .907 OPS. He is trying to become the first player in MLB history to log five seasons of 50-plus homers, sharing the record (four) with Babe Ruth, Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire.

Unfortunately, Judge's rib injury will likely prevent him from reaching the historic feat this year.

Ohtani isn't having his best season at the plate by his standards (.301 batting average, a .938 OPS, 11 homers and 37 RBIs). But he's unquestionably having his best season on the mound, boasting a 6-2 record with a ridiculous 0.74 ERA and 67 strikeouts in 61 innings pitched.

Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani May Meet Again in October

The Yankees (41-26) are tied with the Tampa Bay Rays for the best record in the American League. The defending champion Dodgers (43-24) are just two games behind the Atlanta Braves for the best record in baseball.

From John Wayne's classic hits in the 1950s and 1960s like "True Grit" and "The Searchers," to the more modern Neo-Westerns like "Sicario" and "No Country for Old Men," the U.S. film industry has produced a ton of classics. After all, Clint Eastwood once said that jazz and Western movies are America's purest art forms.

"It's something that could only come out of such a diverse country as America," Mr. Eastwood said. "And jazz players . . . were pioneers of integration, because you were judged by your ability in an era when people were judging people by a lot of other things—social factors, color, etc. So it seemed like respecting somebody just for their talent was important."

But not every Western movie is a good one. In fact, there have been plenty of bad ones, too. Recently, a 2015 film was named the "worst" Western movie of all-time.

Adam Sandler's 2015 Netflix film, "The Ridiculous 6," takes home that honor.

The 2015 movie, starring Adam Sandler and coming from his Happy Madison Productions company, was released in December of that year.

The movie also stars Taylor Lautner, Rob Schneider, Steve Buscemi, Terry Crews, Jorge Garcia and others. The film's plot centers on a group of five outlaws that are reunited with an orphan raised by Native Americans. The six guys then come together to attempt to save their wayward father.

The film currently has a 0 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

"Every bit as lazily offensive as its cast and concept would suggest, The Ridiculous Six is standard couch fare for Adam Sandler fanatics and must-avoid viewing for film enthusiasts of every other persuasion," Rotten Tomatoes writes.

Western named 'worst' of all-time

While the film is among the most-watched ever in the history of the Netflix platform, it's been named the "worst" Western movie of all-time by Slash Film.

"The movie is filled with outdated and offensive racial jokes as a major source for much of its attempt at humor. On top of the parade of mind-numbingly unfunny jokes, the plot is clumsily thrown together and stumbles along before its obligatory finale. The closest thing that Netflix has produced to an IQ test or a barometer of cinematic taste, "The Ridiculous 6" should be purged from every server it streams from," Slash Film writes.

Viewers of the movie seem to agree, as well. The film currently has a dreadful 37 percent Popcorn Meter rating on Rotten Tomatoes, as well.

Fans and critics agree: This Western is one to pass on.

Little House on the Prairie, the western historical drama based on the book series of the same name by Laura Ingalls Wilder, follows the Ingalls family, who live on a farm on Plum Creek, near Walnut Grove, Minnesota. Set in the 1870s–1890s, the stories are based on Wilder's childhood as part of a settler and pioneer family in Pepin, Big Woods, Wisconsin.

It is perhaps the NBC series, however, that audiences are most familiar with, which ran from 1974 to 1983 for over 200 episodes, starring Michael Landon as family patriarch Charles Ingalls, along with Karen Grassle as his wife, Caroline Ingalls. Melissa Gilbert, Melissa Sue Anderson, and twin actresses Lindsay and Sidney Greenbush portrayed their daughters, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Mary Ingalls Kendall, and Carrie Ingalls, respectively.

The new series, streaming exclusively on Netflix, is set to premiere on July 9, co-produced by CBS. Actors Alice Halsey, Luke Bracey, Crosby Fitzgerald, and Skywalker Hughes will take on the roles of Laura, Charles, Caroline, and Mary Ingalls, respectively.

"Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House books, beloved by children (and former children) of many generations, are based on her own experiences growing up in the American West in the 1800s," Netflix said in a press release for the upcoming series. "Written during the Great Depression and first published in the 1930s, Wilder’s stories were adapted into the hit TV series Little House on the Prairie, which ran for nearly a decade in the 1970s and into the ’80s. Now a new generation will have its own version with Netflix’s reimagining of the treasured novels. "

The remake has already been renewed for a second series, ahead of its July premiere. In the Season 2 announcement, Netflix also confirmed that actors Jocko Sims, Warren Christie, Wren Zhawenim Gotts, Meegwun Fairbrother, and Alyssa Wapanatahk would round out its main cast.

According to multiple reports, owners will soon receive a notice on July 7 in the mail about Honda recalling more than 800,000 vehicles due to a faulty rear suspension that may fail, causing drivers to lose control.

So far, Honda says it has not received any reports of crashes, injuries, or deaths. Vehicle owners are advised that if their vehicle is on the recall list, they should head to their nearest authorized Honda dealer for what appears to be a simple fix.

What Is the Exact Problem?

Honda says the rear subframe can corrode at suspension mounting points, which can cause the rear suspension to fail.

The fix includes, if needed, installing a reinforcement kit. The dealer can also fix or replace the rear subframe at no cost to the owner.

The recall comes about a week after Honda issued a recall for 98,892 Honda and Acura vehicles from model years 2016 to 2026.

50 Cent Roasts Diddy and Drags Usher Into the Drama

Even though celebrities typically have staggering follower numbers on social media, many of them post as if they get the approval of a group of PR professionals first. On the other hand, 50 Cent doesn't seem to hold back on social media at all. A perfect example of that came on June 9, when he mocked Diddy for being sued by an anonymous child actor for alleged assault. In the same post, he also called out Usher.

"👀I missed this one, 😆Usher gonna say no Diddy didn’t, he didn’t do that. 😆😆😆 Diddy a MOOK!"

In less than a day, 50 Cent's latest swipe at Diddy garnered more than 80.5 thousand likes on Instagram. The post also received more than 3.5 thousand comments and 1.3 thousand reposts. Many of the comments heavily featured laughing emojis, and at least one referred to 50 Cent as a legend for the post.

Diddy Hit With Explosive Lawsuit From Anonymous Former Child Star

On the same day 50 Cent uploaded his post, TMZ reported that a new lawsuit had been filed against Diddy by an anonymous former child actor. In the court docs, the man suing Diddy over an alleged 2007 assault is identified solely as "John Doe." The outlet quoted a statement from Diddy's representative, Juda Engelmayer, completely denying the accusations made in the lawsuit.

"The allegations from this so-called nameless child actor are false and ridiculous. He's just another hater in a long list of people trying to get in on the money gravy train encouraged by personal injury lawyers. Mr. Combs has never s******y assaulted anyone — and that includes any child! These allegations will be disproved like all the rest."

Usher's Viral Diddy Comments

In March 2026, the following positive comments that Usher made to Forbes about Diddy and his legacy went viral. "This might be a bit controversial… but in many ways, I think certain people are prosecuted and maybe not recognized for the greatness that they offer. I don't have anything negative to say about Sean Combs because my experience was not what the world has seen and how he's been, you know, misrepresented."

Usher continued, "I'm not saying that every man is perfect. I'm not saying that all of us don't have flaws. But I can't, with any sense of humanity, not recognize the valuable contributions that this man made—for us as Black entrepreneurs, for us as businessmen, for us as people who transition, you know, culture and ideas into something that's tangible and becomes business. CM Punk briefly appeared on the April 20 episode of Monday Night Raw, following his loss to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42. Punk teased a future match with WWE Champion Cody Rhodes before departing backstage, and he's been kept off-screen ever since.

Often, WWE uses a storyline injury when a top wrestler, like CM Punk, takes significant time off. With no explanation for his absence, some fans have wondered if he requested his release behind the scenes.

However, Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com spoke to a WWE source who poured cold water over the speculation. The source told Johnson that the rumor that Punk had requested his release "has as much truth to it as the stories that claimed Saudi Arabia bought us years ago."

"While they were not aware of why Punk has been off television, the source noted there is new merchandise being put together and Punk appearances are set for this summer. So, this is, as they would say, much ado about nothing."

CM Punk Should Compete at SummerSlam 2026

Last month, it was reported that CM Punk will be part of SummerSlam 2026 on the Aug. 1-2 weekend in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Mane, who played Sabretooth in X-Men and Deadpool & Wolverine, posted a video Tuesday morning. “I have some bad news: I start chemo today. One in 750 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime and I’m one of them,” the 59-year-old said. In the caption, the former wrestler said he publicly revealed the diagnosis in hopes that other men will not dismiss their own concerns.

Mane explained that “only 1% of breast cancers are (in) men,” making breast cancer more commonly associated with women. He said he thought about keeping the diagnosis a secret because it was “embarrassing.” However, after learning that the stigma causes so many men to neglect getting a diagnosis until the cancer has progressed beyond treatment, the actor is speaking out.

“I found out that men are more likely to be diagnosed in advance stages BECAUSE it’s not talked about and not looked for. In fact, my doctors all dismissed it and it was only because my wife pushed me to get the lump removed that I got in early.” he explained in the caption.

At the end of the video Mane reveals himself in the hospital and says a quiet “f**k cancer,” to the camera.

Following the initial post, Mane received an outpouring of support. He posted a follow-up saying, “Thank you so much for all the love everyone. I greatly appreciate it. I got this. I’m gonna kick cancer‘s ass. Thank you for coming along for the journey.” He continued, “We need to spread the awareness. Cancer sucks but if you catch it quick enough, you can win this battle.”

Earlier Wednesday morning, Mane posted another update. “Day 3 chemo. Stayin’ strong!” he assured fans. As he continues to fight the disease, Mane said he will keep posting about his journey to raise awareness among other men.

Mane got his start as a professional wrestler in the ‘90s, but retired in 1996.  He then transitioned to acting.  His most well-known role is as the villain Sabretooth in the 2000 movie X-Men. He reprised his role as Wolverine’s arch-nemesis in 2024 for Deadpool & Wolverine. Other well-known roles include Ajax in Troy and Michael Myers in Rob Zombie’s 2007 remake of Halloween and the sequel Halloween II.

Hunter delivered a victim impact statement at the sentencing hearing, which saw Anthony receive a sentence of 35 years. According to CBS News, Hunter asked Anthony to look him in the eye as he delivered the statement. Anthony "sobbed" through the verdict and sentencing,The New York Post reported. He "kept his head down" while Hunter and Metcalf's other family members spoke.

Austin's mother, father, and other relatives also spoke at the sentencing hearing in the high-profile case, which caused controversy when a crowdfunding page for Anthony raised more than $600,000. According to TMZ,donations came in even after he was convicted of murder.

In May, Hunter Metcalf accepted his deceased brother's high school diploma, according to WFAA-TV. He received a standing ovation after accepting his own diploma, leaving the stage, and then returning to accept Austin's, the television station reported, adding that the graduation ceremony included a tribute to Austin.

But now, at the sentencing, Hunter had blistering words for the convicted killer.

"You took a son, a brother, a friend, my best friend from this world," he said, according to CBS News. "... You took someone away from me who was supposed to be an uncle to my kids… Now I want everything taken from you."

He added: "You let the devil take over in that moment," he said. "... Eventually your name will be forgotten, but my brother's memory will live on."

Hunter Metcalf told Karmelo Anthony: 'You Still Have Air While My Brother is 6 Feet Under'

Just weeks ago, Hunter Metcalf accepted a posthumous diploma on behalf of his twin brother, Austin Metcalf, who was fatally stabbed at a Texas track meet last year.

In the heart-wrenching statement, Hunter said, according to Fox 4, "You still have air while my brother is six feet under," he added. "I wake up every morning and his door is still shut."

According to The New York Post, Anthony was found guilty of first-degree murder for the death of Metcalf, "a high school athlete he knifed during a dispute at a track and field meet in Frisco on April 2, 2025." Anthony was 19 at the time, and Metcalf was 17. The jury didn't buy Anthony's contention that he stabbed Metcalf in self-defense.

Megan Metcalf, Austin's mother, also spoke at the sentencing. "Now I only have videos and memories of his laugh," she told Anthony, according to Fox 4.

"You may have been given a sentence of 35 years. You should feel lucky. I've been sentenced to a lifetime without my son."

According to Fox 4, Austin's dad, Jeff Metcalf, also addressed the killer, saying, "Since the day he first grabbed my finger, he had my heart with it." He added that the family has been harassed and said, "I said from Day 1 this was never about race. It's about right and wrong. We are all humans. We all bleed the same color. You will face those consequences starting today."

The Spaniards are in Group H with Uruguay, Saudi Arabia and Cape Verde. 

Spain begins its World Cup on Monday against Cape Verde at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. 

They will play Saudi Arabia on June 21 in Atlanta then take on Uruguay in Guadalajara, Mexico, on June 26. 

Uruguay is +6600 to win the tournament and +600 to make the semifinals according to BetMGM. 

What Hit Movie Was Named the 'Best Modern Western?'

In March 2025, Collider published an article detailing seven reasons why No Country for Old Men is the "Best Western of the 21st Century." Similarly, an Entertainment Weekly article that revealed the outlet's "picks for the best modern Westerns" from 1990 to 2024 ranked No Country for Old Men at No. 1.

Collider's article celebrated the film for its themes, captivating performances, the Coen brothers’ fantastic direction, and how it modernized Westerns. It also noted how gorgeous the film looks and how perfectly it adapted the story written by Cormac McCarthy.

For its part, Entertainment Weekly's article described the film as being about "the death of the Western," and a movie that is "hard to shake." The outlet also noted that Tommy Lee Jones' character in the film learns how dark the world can be when he grapples with "evil incarnate, Javier Bardem's Anton Chigurh."

There are plenty of other reasons why No Country for Old Men is such a compelling film, and Joel and Ethan Coen deserve endless praise for bringing it to life. One of the film's most underrated aspects is how quickly it makes viewers invest in characters, like the gas station worker Chigurh forces to flip a coin. While they sometimes get overshadowed by the film's fearsome villain, Josh Brolin, Kelly Macdonald, and Woody Harrelson are all excellent in the movie. The fact that the film embraces silence so fearlessly is also special. Amazingly enough, these are only a handful of the many reasons it seems likely the movie will never be forgotten.

How the Story Began as a Screenplay That 'Will Never Work'

Easily one of the most acclaimed movies of its era, No Country for Old Men won Oscars for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Adapted Screenplay. The fact that the film won the last of those awards is funny considering the unusual origin of Cormac McCarthy’s 2005 novel of the same name.

In November 2009, McCarthy was interviewed by The Wall Street Journal and spoke about his novel. At that time, the outlet asked him if it was true that he originally wrote No Country for Old Men as a screenplay. In response, McCarthy confirmed that the story began as a script that he later adapted into novel form. Amazingly enough, he stated that he gave up on it as a screenplay after he was told it would never work.

"Yeah, I wrote it (as a screenplay). I showed it to a few people, and they didn't seem to be interested. In fact, they said, 'That will never work.' Years later, I got it out and turned it into a novel. Didn't take long."

McCarthy later shared an amusing story about what happened after the Coen brothers won Oscars for adapting his story into a screenplay. "I was at the Academy Awards with the Coens. They had a table full of awards before the evening was over, sitting there like beer cans. One of the first awards that they got was for Best Screenplay, and Ethan came back and he said to me, "Well, I didn't do anything, but I'm keeping it."

Walnuts provide additional nutrients, including polyunsaturated fats, phenolic compounds, and vitamin E, which help maintain the structure and function of cell membranes throughout the body. Since healthy membranes are essential for processes like energy production and blood vessel function, research suggests that walnuts could improve heart health by enhancing how these membranes work.

Another study, published in the American Heart Association’s journal Circulation, found that healthy older adults who ate a handful of walnuts a day for two years experienced modest reductions in LDL cholesterol levels.

"Consuming five servings of nuts a week can provide heart-healthy benefits," Geloo says. "So for walnuts, it's advised to consume about a quarter cup’s worth per day."

One particular movie kicked off the dominance of the Western in the '60s—and it's actually an Old West-style remake of the 1954 Japanese film Seven Samurai by Akira Kurosawa. The Magnificent Seven has been included in numerous best-of rankings and lists over the years and is lauded as one of the greatest Westerns of all time.

For the uninitiated, the synopsis is as follows: Seven gunfighters ("magnificent" is implied here) are hired by Mexican peasants to liberate their village from oppressive bandits. The movie opened in theaters on Oct. 12, 1960, and grossed $9.75 million at the box office on a $2 million budget.

Recently, Time Out ranked The Magnificent Seven at No. 33 on its list of "The 50 Greatest Western Movies." The publication noted that while Kurosawa's epic influenced the film, Kurosawa himself derived inspiration from Hollywood Westerns. It added that the classic "is often the first Western many people see, and it's hard to think of a better introduction—huge in scope yet easy to digest, and cool as hell."

In a video by Kit and Krysta (former Nintendo of America employees), who were in attendance for both Summer Game Fest and the Q&A session, the pair discussed the Q&A session, the questions that were asked, and some of the answers they were given.

What is sure to be one of the biggest pieces of new information is that it has now been confirmed that Resident Evil Veronica will only offer a third-person camera perspective, unlike the recently released Resident Evil Requiem, which allows players to play in both third- and first-person perspectives.

Kit and Krysta also confirmed that Hirabayashi and the rest of Capcom believe that the story of Veronica (and the original game) is just as important as the original numbered entries, like Resident Evil 1, 2, and 3.

It was also confirmed that the first-person perspective from the reveal trailer was created solely for demonstration purposes.

Hirabayashi stated that the most exciting feature added when remaking Veronica was the camera control. The original game was played with fixed camera angles and tank controls.

Kit and Krystal also stated that someone in attendance asked why the name of the game was shortened from Code: Veronica to just Veronica, and Hirabayashi stated that it was to have just one word that encapsulated the experience, similar to Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Resident Evil Village, and Resident Evil Requiem, and to provide brand consistency.

Hirabayashi also noted that one of the protagonists, Claire Redfield, will get expanded characterization, much like Leon Kennedy in Resident Evil Requiem. Veronica will act as a successor and a sequel to Claire's story from the Resident Evil 2 remake.

Hirabayashi did not comment on the other playable character from the original game, Chris Redfield, Claire's brother.

The balance of horror and action will feel like a natural progression for Claire from Resident Evil 2 to Veronica, according to Hirabayashi, but it is being designed primarily as a survival horror title, as opposed to the mix found in Requiem and Resident Evil 4.

Finally, it has been confirmed that the team developing Resident Evil Veronica is being helmed by members of the teams that developed the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4.

Resident Evil Veronica is currently in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2, targeting a 2027 release date.

Bale and Adams star as Irving Rosenfeld and Sydney Prosser, late 1970s con artists who are forced by FBI agent Richie DiMaso (Bradley Cooper) to perform sting operations on corrupt politicians, including Carmine Polito (Jeremy Renner), the mayor of Camden, New Jersey.

Jennifer Lawrence, Louis C.K., Jack Huston, Michael Pena, Shea Whigham, Paul Herman and Robert DeNiro also have prominent roles.

American Hustle received 10 Academy Award nominations, though it did not win any categories. The film fared better at the Golden Globes, winning for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, with Adams and Jennifer winning Best Actress – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy and Best Supporting Actress – Motion Picture, respectively.

Critics loved it

Andrew O'Hehir of Salon gave American Hustlea stellar review, calling it "a work of tremendous confidence and dazzling showmanship that may just be a delirious movie-as-drug-high or may, if you choose to read it this way, contain a level of commentary about the nature of America and the illusioneering of Hollywood."

Richard Roeper of the Chicago Sun-Timeswas also impressed, saying American Hustle was "the best time I’ve had at the movies all year." TIME Magazine's Richard Corliss also gave the film high praise.

Currently, American Hustle has a 92% approval rating ("Certified Fresh") on Rotten Tomatoes, along with a 90% mark ("Universal Acclaim") on Metacritic and a 7.2/10 grade on IMDb.

However, a certain group of fans is still waiting for more information about one of the most anticipated games ever announced, eight years later.

Today, June 10, 2026, marks eight years since The Elder Scrolls 6 was revealed to be in development at Bethesda's E3 Conference in 2018. The announcement trailer showed fans a glimpse of the Elder Scrolls world and a title card, and nothing else.

Since then, there have been virtually no major updates on the development of The Elder Scrolls 6, other than a few comments from director Todd Howard.

Back in December 2025, Howard confirmed that development on The Elder Scrolls 6 was moving along smoothly and that the team also had a very long pre-production period. He also confirmed that the majority of Bethesda is currently working on the title, despite another Fallout game also in pre-production for after the release of The Elder Scrolls 6.

Bethesda took a break from both franchises to develop and release Starfield in 2023 for Xbox Series X/S and PC and create a PlayStation 5 port of the game, which was released in April earlier this year, after The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim and Fallout 4.

Other than rumors that the game will take place in Hammerfell and will actually be called The Elder Scrolls 6: Hammerfell, there haven't been many leaks or rumors about the game either. With a stacked lineup of game releases for the rest of 2026 and 2027, it seems fans may have quite a while to wait still for more information.

The Elder Scrolls 6 is currently in development with no announced platforms or release window.

Per Deadline, Jennifer Saunders, Simone Ashley, Sean Teale, Amar Chadha-Patel, Rhea Norwood, Matthew Beard, and Sharon Horgan are boarding the series as recurring guest stars. As of writing, their roles are being kept under wraps, as are the plot details.

If you recall, Only Murders in the Building Season 5 concluded with Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short), and Mabel (Selena Gomez) unmasking Arconia doorman Lester's (Teddy Coluca) killer, Mayor Beau Tillman (Keegan-Michael Key). Then, our intrepid crew stumbled upon the next murder victim: Cinda Canning (Tina Fey). Cinda died right outside the Arconia gates, making it technically another "murder in the building."

The gang decided to head to London to search for clues linked to her killing after her newest podcast, The Girl With the Curls, delved into a redheaded woman accused of murdering a royal descendant.

In addition to Martin, Short, and Gomez, Season 6 will see the return of series regular Michael Cyril Creighton as Howard. Da'Vine Joy Randolph will also return as Detective Williams, per a set photo from the show's official Instagram account. It's unclear whether Meryl Streep will reprise her role as Loretta Durkin, Oliver's wife, but we'll most likely see her in some capacity.

Saunders is most known for starring in the cult classic comedy Absolutely Fabulous as Edina. Ashley currently stars as Viscountess Kate Bridgerton in the Netflix hit Bridgerton, while Teale recently starred in the two-season ABC drama Doctor Odyssey as Tristan Silva. Chadha-Patel starred in the Disney+ fantasy epic Willow as Thraxus Boorman, and will appear next in the Alan Ritchson-led action thriller Motor City as Singh.

Norwood starred in Netflix's Heartstopper as Imogen Heaney; Beard recently starred in 2025's The Testament of Ann Lee as James Whittaker, and Horgan is most known for creating and starring in Apple TV's dark comedy Bad Sisters as Eva Garvey.
