Ep 218 - Kira, The Battle Within Despair

Yumichika finishes his fight w/ the gawd-awful tranny arrancar.  We see summuv Lt. Hisagi's fight, and summuv Ikkaku's fight.  And Lt. Kira finishes his fight, and also explains 3rd Division's philosophy on fighting.  [DO NOT get me wrong, this battle's ending scene definitely gits high marks for drama.  @_@] [Btw, there's a scene where Lt. Kira says...well the subtitle says "Thank you" but he really says, "Tasukata" which more literally translates "You saved me," and in this case could prolly mean more specifically, "You saved me alotta trouble." See, that's what you call nuance... and if you don't know that word, lookit up. >;-]

Omake for this episode is weird, and something I'm gonna hafta remember to ask wunnuv my Nihonjin peepz about in the future sometime.


Ep 219 - Hisagi's Shikai! The Name is...

Btw, I also find the subber comments in the OP theme amusing.

Let's see, after the usual previous ep recap, it's Lt. Hisagi's turn to take down wunnuv the Fraccion, the lobster d00d, and he does so revealing summuv his own fighting philosophy, specfically how one should wield one's sword.  But the ep, ends inna major plot-complicating cliff-hanger.

So be sure to hold onto yer seats, folks.


Ep 220 - Ikkaku Falls! The Shinigami's Crisis

Let's see, a Captain has to intervene, emergency measures are taken, and Ikkaku learns a costly lesson.  Aforementioned Captain kix serious ass, and the show has an Arrancar Encyclopedia omake.

So in this episode they show every main pirate captain fighting agains multiple shichibukai Bartholomew Kuma. Another person fighting is Admiral Kizaru and his light speed attacks. The One Piece pirates are fighting Bartholomew Kuma alrhought you will find out something interesting next episode. Hopefully withing the next two to three episodes should happen a very shocking moment. This will be a big turning point for the straw hat pirates. For those of you reading the manga you are much farther along. All in all a very good episode with some sweet moments.
