The Chinese University of Hong Kong will set up Joint Eye Center in Beijing with Tsinghua University. A growing number of leading overseas universities are offering six-figure scholarships to attract China mainland high school graduates during the ongoing college admission season. According to this news, the Chinese University of Hong Kong also planned to grant scholarships totaling 55 million Hong Kong dollars divided among 100 mainland students over four years.

The University of Hong Kong participated in the Education Worldwide India Fair held in Bangalore on April 18, 2006. The event disseminated information and provided solutions to help students of India explore career opportunities available in India and abroad. About 55 institutions participated in the event, and HKU was among them.

According to this news, the University of Hong Kong will host the Universitas 21 (U21) Summer School, which will bring together students from the U21 member universities to debate and learn about Asia’s role in the world’s future.
