Safety is one of the Mercedes-Benz domains. With active and passive systems, the automobile manufacturer from Stuttgart has made its mark from the beginning. With its lowering springs, the suspension specialist Vogtland additionally increases the driving safety of the new E-class.

Due to the Vogtland springs, the new Mercedes E-class (type W 212) is 35 millimetres closer to the road. This does not only generate a sporty dynamic appearance, but also provides extra safety.

The car´s centre of gravity is reduced and the result is that the Mercedes has a better grip on the road without needing any further electronic assistance. Moreover, the sport springs diminish the rolling motions when turning which leads to significantly less rocking. The thereby created agility brings both more safety and also more driving pleasure. When accelerating and braking, the effect of the new vehicle springs also shows. Due to lesser nodding movements, the E-class reacts more agile when driving off and also the braking distance reduces.

The lowering spring by Vogtland especially stands out for its first-class quality. The springs are made of high-strength chrome-silicon alloy and guarantee stability and the necessary flexibility of the product. Vogtland also underlines this quality demand by producing all springs in Germany. This quality “made in Germany“ comes with a two-year warranty by Vogtland.

The suspension expert Vogtland offers the lowering springs for the Mercedes-Benz E-class (type W 212/C 207). The springs are available for both the limousine and also the coupé. The T-model will follow shortly. Of course, delivery includes a component part certificate by the Technical Control Board (TÜV).

For more information about all products by the suspension specialist Vogtland and for current application lists, please visit the web site www.vogtland.com
The MEC Design 3-piece forged wheels are produced by an internationally renowned wheel manufacturer.

The forged centrepiece is available with different surface finishes. Depending on the wheel design, you can choose between several types of finishes, all of which come with an acrylic coating. The outer lips are forged and high-gloss anodized, and the inner lips are silver anodized. That way, all parts of the wheel receive the best possible protection against any negative climatic effects. Optionally, the wheel can be provided with a special weatherproof coating for extreme winter conditions, which has been tested in a 240-hour salt test.

All wheels are equipped with a special, factory-provided valve as well as a lip to ensure water drainage. The TPMS System (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) can be used worldwide due to the preliminary set up.
All wheels are produced according to strict conditions and are subject to numerous tests prior to final delivery, such as the dynamic radial fatigue test.

All MEC Design wheels are bespoke, allowing for any colour and finish combination. Our forged wheels are available in sizes 19“ to 22“. We give a two-year guarantee on all surfaces with the exception of any damage caused through third-party influence.

On the basis of SL 500 the INDEN-Design launches a special model which is convincing with a lot of design work and also with the horsepower. The specialist from Haiger concentrates on changes especially in the external design. To give SL sport appearance it will be equipped with the specially-designed wheels.

INDEN Champion light aluminium rims 10,5×20 and 11,75×20 inches with 255/30-20 and 305/25-20 high-capacity Pirelli tires correspondingly guarantee dynamic driving. In addition, star rim spokes were varnished in black / lackluster and the high-grade steel outside rims were given luster. These provide for controlled speed at the sport-car level. Furthermore, SL is equipped with the integrated ABC-sport suspension module with adjustable height up to about 50 mm.

Now let’s take a closer look at the vehicle from the outside. The complex modification to SL 65 AMG consists of a front spoiler, a rear valance with carbon diffuser, side skirts and a rear spoiler as well as rear lights. The door handles, mudguards and radiator grill are also painted black/lackluster. The sport silencer with the 65th exhaust pipe made of high-grade steel perfectly completes the outside appearance.

There are also positive changes in the vehicle interior. To improve the interior, black decorative features were covered in SL 500 with clavier varnish. In addition, an AMG Black Series steering wheel of 360 mm in diameter was installed. The roof-control module or the roof provide a wide view at the speed of max. 50 km / h.

However, the tuning program includes more than that: due to the INDEN design, power augmentation reaches the racing 330 HP, accompanied by Vmax increase. INDEN improvement will certainly make SL 500 more athletic!

Modification costs:

- SL 65 AMG Bodykit incl. varnishing and installation 5,498.00 euros

- SL 65 rear lights AMG incl. installation 548.00 euros

- The third brake light from facelift in white 119.00 euros

- Black Series steering wheel 1,059.00 euros

- Clavier varnish black decorative features 950.00 euro

- Pure carbon interior 1,998.00 euros

- Adjustable sport suspension module 1,398.00 euros, installation 250.00 euros

- Inden Champion wheel set 10.5 and 11,75×20 with 255/30 and 305 / 25R 20 (star lackluster black, high-grade steel and polished rim base) 11,700.00 euros

- Body works necessary for the wheel set 2,200.00 euros

- Stainless steel exhaust system with the 65th exhaust pipe 2,498.00 euros

- Pure carbon rear diffuser 1,448.00 euros

- Roof control module 298.00 euros

- Door handles and mudguard in lackluster black incl. disassemble and installation 820.00 euros

- Door handles and mudguard in pure carbon incl. disassemble and installation 1,420.00 euros

The popular luxury car from Mercedes Benz already has six decades of model history behind it. It was only natural for Sportservice Lorinser, a company with long tradition, to take on the type W212 limousine with special devotion. The result is an optical and technical masterpiece, which is available from now.

The world-renowned four-eyed face of the completely re-designed classic is captivating in its tuned version thanks to the extremely bold expression. The strikingly angular front headlights are joined by a black coated grill, which is thrillingly pushed into centre of attention by the front spoiler that has been stretched further forwards.

Its new aura is not just mysterious, but also oozes power. The designers knew that by having a middle section in the bumper marked with a different colour, they would be able to skilfully emphasise the typical Lorinser gills in the fenders as well as the voluminous side sills. In addition they gave the clear-puritan design of the basic bodywork interesting new highlights: a pert rear, formed by the Lorinser rear apron with the diffuser set and a dynamic roof spoiler. Sports suspension with adequate lowering guarantees that the limousine takes the corners every time. Attractive light-alloy wheels suit them well, which Lorinser offers in timelessly classic and modern designs.

With regards to the sound, the Lorinser E-Class already showed its highly-addictive potential at its first public appearances. This is no wonder as four sonorous exhaust pipes set off acoustic fireworks as soon as you put your foot down. And last but not least this should ensure that the Lorinser E-Class limousine’s appearance is one to remember.

With the looks of a 3-piece wheel and its wide stainless steel outer lip the 1-piece mecxtremeIII alloy wheel is already getting a lot of attention the world over.

As with everything from MEC Design it is exclusively for Mercedes-Benz models and available in 9” and 10,5” x 20”. The high-gloss polished stainless steel lip has been integrally pressed on and makes it look just like a 3-piece wheel whilst retaining the stability of a 1-piece. The 9” version has a 3.5” outer lip whilst the 10.5” version boasts an awesome 4.5”.

Despite the wide lips they fit all models of Mercedes-Benz from C- to S-Class without the need for any bodywork or modification.

Cem Altun, MEC Designs CEO says “The reactions that we’ve had so far are great. I’m very pleased with how great it looks. You can’t tell any difference between the 1-piece and the 3-piece and it just means that our extreme looking wheels are now available to more of our fans who might have previously been put off by the price tag of the 3-piece wheel”.

Prices start at €540.00 each for the 9” whilst the 10.5” costs €590.00 each.

Making the new Mercedes E-Class coupe even sportier and more exclusive is the goal of the extensive tuning program from BRABUS (www.brabus.com). The pinnacle of the available performance tuning is the BRABUS 6.1 displacement engine. It has a rated power output of 462 hp (456 bhp) / 340 kW and propels the E 500 (US: E550) to an impressive top speed of 315 km/h (196 mph).

Also on offer is an aerodynamic-enhancement program that was developed in the wind tunnel. Further highlights are custom-tailored wheels up to 20 inches in diameter, sporty yet comfortable suspension solutions and exclusive interior options.

A rated power output of 462 hp (456 bhp) / 340 kW and a peak torque of 615 Nm (453 lb-ft) at just 3,100 rpm are the result of the displacement increase of the four-valve V8 engine from 5.5 to 6.1 liters. 0 – 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.7 seconds and a top speed of 315 km/h (196 mph): The BRABUS 6.1 displacement engine turns the E 500 Coupe (US: E550) into a true high-performance automobile.

The displacement increase of the eight-cylinder engine sells for 29,000 Euros. It is facilitated by the installation of a billet-steel crankshaft with longer stroke and larger pistons. Furthermore the four-valve cylinder heads are precision-machined and fitted with custom camshafts. The BRABUS sport exhaust system with high-performance metal catalysts also contributes to the impressive power output as do specially programmed engine electronics.

More driving fun with the turbodiesel models is available with the BRABUS ECO PowerXtra kits. For the E 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY BRABUS offers its D4 tuning kit. For just 1,390 Euros power output of the common-rail four-cylinder engine jumps from standard 204 hp (201 bhp) / 150 kW to 235 hp (232 bhp) / 173 kW. Peak torque grows to 560 Nm (413 lb-ft).

The V6 turbodiesel engine of the E 350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY equipped with BRABUS ECO PowerXtra D6 (III) module produces 272 hp (268 bhp) / 200 kW and a peak torque of 590 Nm (435 lb-ft).

All engines are lubricated with ARAL high-performance motor oil and like all BRABUS components they are backed by the one-of-a-kind BRABUS Tuning Warranty® of three years, up to 100,000 kilometers or 62,000 miles (see BRABUS warranty conditions as of November 2006).

Stainless-steel BRABUS quad sport exhaust systems are available for all new E-Class models.

The BRABUS designers have also developed a sporty yet elegant aerodynamic-enhancement package for the two-door E-Class. It is manufactured from Pur-R-Rim in OEM quality. The BRABUS front spoiler with integrated LED daytime running lights gives the coupe an even more striking face and reduces aerodynamic lift on the front axle at high speeds.

BRABUS adds sporty emphasis to the side view of the E-Class coupe with the new front aluminum sport fenders with integrated air vents. New rocker panels visually give the coupe a lower and sleeker stance. They feature LED entrance lights integrated into their undersides. Customers can also choose a version with integrated illuminated BRABUS logo.

The BRABUS rear apron features a centrally mounted reflector and custom-tailored cutouts on either side for the four tailpipes of the BRABUS sport exhaust system.

The exclusive BRABUS appearance is rounded out by one-piece or multi-piece BRABUS Monoblock light-alloy wheels with diameters of 17, 18, 19 and 20 inches. The largest tire/wheel combination features BRABUS Monoblock VI, E, Q or S wheels in size 9Jx20 on the front axle and in size 9.5Jx20 in back. BRABUS chose high-performance tires from Pirelli and YOKOHAMA in sizes 235/30 ZR 20 in front and up to 275/25 ZR 20 on the rear axle as the perfect complement.

The available BRABUS suspension solutions offer sporty handling combined with excellent ride comfort. They were custom-developed for the various engines available in the new E-Class. The list of options starts with lowering springs and culminates in a complete height-adjustable BRABUS coil-over sport suspension.

BRABUS also offers a high-performance brake system for the new Mercedes coupe. It features six-piston aluminum fixed calipers and 360-mm (14.2 inches) vented and cross-drilled discs on the front axle. The rear axle stops with four-piston aluminum fixed calipers.

BRABUS will customize the interior of the new E-Class Coupe to customers’ specifications. The list of interior options includes stainless-steel scuff plated with illuminated BRABUS logo, an ergonomically shaped BRABUS sport steering wheel and an entirely new interior crafted from especially soft yet durable BRABUS Mastik leather and Alcantara. New additions to the program are exclusive white genuine carbon-fiber inlays.

The legendary 300 SL Gullwing has thrilled generations and consequently has a regular space in Lorinser’s classic car collection. The designers of the Mercedes customer have now dedicated themselves to its successor, the SLS, which proved to be a show stopper at the IAA 2009 in just its series standard version.

The first Lorinser design of the exhibition star pays homage to the racing soul of the car, as the Gullwing was originally designed for motorsport with its numerous aluminium components. “If carbon fibres had been available then, the lightweight concept of the 300 SL would definitely have contained this material”, says CEO Marcus Lorinser.

As a result one of the designs shows the aggressive coolness of carbon fibre, which in selected areas contrasts with the red paint of the aluminium bodywork and the components: for example a carbon fibre element intersects the middle of the grill, in which there isn’t a Mercedes star, but the Lorinser family crest from the 15th century instead. A further stylistic element is provided by a spoiler bumper with a carbon insert, arch-shaped air inlet and double fog lights. The muscular sides, on the other hand, are partially shaped by the massive Lorinser side sills, which also adorn black inserts made of the fibre composite material. The air inlets which are drawn inwards and have black sports grills, gape over the sides onto the front fenders. The two chromed cross beams are thereby a homage to the 300 SL. The large wire spoke wheels cite a typical construction form from the 50s, although their design seems extremely modern. At the same time they are also the link to the second design.

The second design pays tribute to the facets of the 300 SL, which reveal it as a sophisticated road sports car with an elegant front spoiler and a more sober grill design. In this study Lorinser also used one-piece side sills with air inlets. With their stronger segmentation the gills on the fenders are orientated more directly to the prototype, than the first design which was dedicated to the motorsport heritage oft the Gullwing.

Whether there will be a small-batch production of either of the two studies – and where applicable the final design – has not yet been decided.

Sportservice Lorinser consciously chose the fiery opal colour for the paintwork of its latest GLK with the 280 V6 petrol engine. With its pervasive radiance the eponymous gem is one of the most coveted and exclusive opals in the world – and it is the only one with which you can uncover the full shine with a facet cut.

As a result the traditional tuner from Winnenden has worked on all the corners and edges, in order to create an exclusive piece of work with incomparable brilliance out of the SUV. As a special optical highlight, the Lorinser front spoiler reflects the radiator grille of the GLK on the horizontal axis and thereby provides an expressive front design. The dark recessed insert is flanked on the left and right by the fog lights.

While precious stones loose volume through polishing, the GLK actually gains substance due to the work of Lorinser. The ribbed side sills in particular provide the 170kW / 231 HP strong SUV with more volume, and thanks to the Lorinser lowering set it hugs the tarmac in a bold sporty manner. The rear view of the four-wheeler is presented as a perfect piece of jewellery and appears to be made of incomparable fire. The Lorinser rear apron with the pronounced indentations definitely flirts with a degree of martiality – an impression which the dark insert with the sports grille and implied underride guard further intensify. On its flanks it sports a pair of sonorous double-pipes of the Lorinser stainless steel exhaust unit. In connection with the smooth six-cylinder engine under the bonnet the compact SUV thereby also proves to be an acoustic jewel. Real high-carats are, of course, not missing in the wheel arches: with their special varnish – matt black combined with a polishe d rim flange – the huge 9 x 22 inch Lorinser RS 9 light-alloy wheels provide real highlights. They are enclosed by the 265 millimetre wide Yokohama tyres. The contrast with the red outer colour of the vehicle is increased by the dark recessed wheel arches. With it the designers have succeeded in creating a real piece of jewellery, which constantly attracts attention to its owner.
