Welcome back to another episode of Merengue Bites. Our host for this episode, Kaushik, got to have a little chat with regular Bassam and our new special guest, Helen. Trying to take advantage of the knowledge that Helen has of Real Madrid in general and Castilla in particular, the panel discusses Castilla and their amazing push for promotion. Kaushik, Bassam and Helen discuss who of the Castilla team has been a prominent figure and how the team adjusted to the departed players over the summer. After a long absence from recording, the crew is back with Tanuj hosting as always and Bassam and Saajid giving their opinion on all things Real Madrid. We start off the podcast by discussing the Sporting game briefly, seeing what really happened and who was our man of the match. We then quickly move on to the Bayern game this week, talking tactics and starting line up. That we were, listeners. Altintop sidelined from the squad and the squad hits the shitter. We don’t offer much on Merengue Bites, but our host Tanuj and fellow panelists Kaushik, Bassam and Saajid are able, for once, to out perform our RM boys. Only slightly though, so don’t get your hopes up too much. We talk about the Rayo Vallecano game, where Saajid tries to explain the brilliance that is the Ronaldo goal while Bassam and Kaushik try to explain the horror that was our performance. We try choosing the best of the worse and the worse of the worse. You needed to be a Saint to survive our wrath. Grrrrrr. In the second half of the podcast, we discuss Alonso’s recent dip in form while the bat complains about how sick she is of beating the dead horse that is Sahin not playing. Our sources also tell us there was some loving for our number seven! A quick look into why Barcelona is dropping points is done and then the podcast is capped with some more seven jokes. Casado’s performance and chances in the first team was among the topics discussed. Mer also went on to highlight the importance of Mandi in the game and how he was able to take over the “Alex” role very well.
