The Undocumented in America

I have a friend who is undocumented. She work as a care giver in a developmental facility. Her employer applied for a labor certification when she came here in America so she can works in a care facility. It took five years to be approved. When it was granted to her employer, She was able to apply for petition for alien worker. It was approved, but then when she was about to adjust her status, according to her lawyer she will not be able to get her green card since she was already out of status and she needs to wait for an amnesty.

My friend is heart broken. The Republican accuses them of taking advantage of the government. Getting free stuff. In fact undocumented contributes in social security without getting any benefits from the SSS. They cannot avail maternity leave because they only have Tax ID, They cannot apply for unemployment benefits.

She is grateful she was able to work here. She wants for the Republican to reconsider their position.

WBO Declares Pacquiao Winner

2012-06-21T21:59:00.000-07:00

After WBO review the video of the recent fight of Manny Paccquiao vs Timothy Bradley, the five judge panel of the WBO unanimously favors Pacquiao. However they could not give the title back to Pacquiao. They are asking for a rematch.

The reason why they give the title to Timothy Bradley is because they really want a rematch. There are people who won lots of money from the last fight. It should also be investigated. Pacquaio should not held the rematch in Las Vegas. He should demand the fight to be held in another State, like Texas , if the Nevada State Athletic Commission Executive Director Keith Kizer cannot do anything about the recent fight. If they decided to held it again in Las Vegas, people should boycott the fight and boycott the pay per view. People are paying hard earned money for a good fight. They are not paying to robbed.

Pacquiao And Bradly Fight A Scam?

2012-06-10T22:25:00.001-07:00

Lots of people were surprised when the winner was announced after the fight of Pacquiao vs. Bradley boxing match up. The split decision was in favor of Bradley. Everybody was expecting Pacquiao to win. All the rounds are in his favor.

Is there a scam going on? Did the promoter Bob Arun staged everything. I was surprised during the weigh in Bradley is already asking for a rematch. At that moment, I already knew something fishy going on.

When Pacquiao insist not to start the game because of the basketball, when they don't know where he is before the fight and when they said he was on the thread mill doing exercise. This is not the Pacquiao we knew. Manny Pacquaio is a very professional athlete. Did they inform him the last minute that this will happen? Maybe he can't take it in his heart to deceived the people who trusted him that's why he had been missing for a while. If there is a scam, this should be investigated. Who won a big sum of money because of this.

Outsourcing effects on U.S. Jobs

2010-11-29T20:30:00.000-08:00

Six years ago some industry watchers believe as many as 300,000 jobs will be lost each year because of outsourcing. Companies looking for cheap labor to lower the operation cost. The majority of Fortune 1000 companies send their work overseas. They know before the long term effect of outsourcing, the Republican administration and Republican congress did not do anything to stop it or just to be fair to American employees. Now that the Republican is in power again. We should demand that they do something about this problem. We also as a consumer should start buying again made in America products. Made in America product have power. People from different countries have faith in products made in America, they are willing to pay a higher price because of the quality and because it is made in America. Let us stop the greed of these companies who send jobs overseas to gain more profit because now we know the long term effect.

Manny Pacquiao vs Antonio Margarito Fight

2010-11-14T20:35:00.000-08:00

Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito fight held in Cowboys Stadium in Texas is a great success. The crowd of 40,000 plus have a great boxing sport experienced. Pacquiao earned his record eight different weight divisions in which he has won world championship. Margarito's face is bloody, swollen pulp. I was expecting the referee will stop the fight because of his condition. Margarito keep on insisting he still wants to fight. I can understand that he don't want to stop it but I was expecting the referee or his coach will stop the fight. If something bad happen to Margarito after the fight who will be responsible?

Msnbc Suspended Countdown Hosts Keith Olbeman

2010-11-05T14:09:00.000-07:00

Msnbc suspended Countdown hosts Keith Olberman after making 2,500 dollar campaign contribution to 3 Democratic candidates last election. Mr. Olberman has a right to donate since he is a US citizen. If it is Msnbc policy not to make contribution, they should give him first a warning. Indefinite suspension is too harsh. Mostly educated and intelligent people watch Msnbc because of their intelligent hosts like Ed Schultz, Rachel Maddow, Chris Mathew, Chris O'Donell. Yes, they are liberal but you know they are telling the truth. They are not fabricating stories. I have a suggestion for Msnbc, please let Jon Stewart host the show temporarily.

My Reno/Tahoe Planning Tour

2010-11-04T15:27:00.000-07:00

My friends will be visiting me next week. They want to visit Reno Nevada and Lake Tahoe but nobody wants to drive. I did some researched how to go there without driving. I found out there is a chartered bus leaving from El camino country club, Sacramento every morning going to Reno hotels. The fare is very reasonable 32 dollar, with 10 dollar cash back and a 5 dollar coupon for food.

I also learned that there is a tour bus that provides a tour to Virginia City and Lake Tahoe. The tour bus begins picking up guests around 7:00 am from any Reno hotels/resorts. First stop is Truckee, then Squaw Valley, the home of the 1960 Olympic games, North Lake Tahoe, South Lake Tahoe, Carson City, Nevada City, then back to Reno at about 5:00 pm. The costs is only 69 dollar per person, this includes complimentary entree from Palace Saloon in Virginia City. Nice deal.

Hotel rates in Reno are only 30 dollar + tax per night of stay. Now, I am ready for my trip. I am so excited.
