Tip of the Week #12: How to easily boost viewer performance
FRIENDLY TURKEY AND/OR TOFU TIME! Here it is, just like I promised earlier, quick tips to speed up Second Life on your side. These aren’t all the ways, but in light of recent features we’ve added to heighten your experience, they’re darn worth showcasing!

To all Burning Life Burners out there!

I created Burning Flickr, as a gift for you all.

It is a 1-prim box that, when rezzed on a parcel that you own (your BL plot),
displays images from Flickr through the parcel's Quicktime media stream (no texture-loading-lag).

Although it is owned by you, it is set up to be controlled by any avatar easily
through a menu-driven interface.
Once an avatar clicks the box, he is in control until 10 images of his selection have been displayed.

Avatars can choose a Flickr group, a Flickr user, a tag, or a combination of them.
10 images are then displayed to every avatar that is on that parcel.

You, as the owner, have the option of pre-configuring the groups, users and tags,
that are displayed in the menu system just by editing the included config notecard.

Note: It will stop working at the end of Burning Life!
