I have updated my URL from madhat.me to insanehat.com
Mad Hat has never been the full name of this blog, which was once URL’d as maddmonk.wordpress.com , and I have always wanted a dot COM.  So now it has happened…and the name is absurd as ever, as I always hoped it would be.

Does this mean there will be new and current writing material?  Who knows!  Probably not (lolz).  So what does it mean?

It means there will be loads of bugs probably…not juicy six legged insects but loads and loads of hyperlinks (that I spent countless hours creating) directing to a URL that is no longer owned by me or run (by anyone).  In saying that, as I’m writing this email, this site is still bugged out and probably wont be up for another 72 hours.

I humbly request if you come across any bugs – please leave a comment here about which post they were on, or even easier – leave a comment on the post where there are bugs.  That would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you all for your steady-ish readership (as this site has been down for so long for there to be such a thing as steady readership).

We, the secondary school students, at the Bhaktivedanta Swami Gurukula in Australia, would like to sincerely request for your help and support in fulfilling our life-long dream to visit India this year.

We are the only Secondary Hare Krishna School in the West and feel very fortunate to be able to share our journey with you all.  Last year we visited Bengal and had the chance to experience some of the amazing cultural and spiritual treasures of the area.

This year, we would like to repeat the journey and deepen our experience by visiting one of the holiest places in India – Sri Vrindavan Dham! As part of our studies, we plan to travel to the village of Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh in order to experience the traditions and culture behind the spirituality we grew up with, offer charity to those in need and, at the same time gather inspiration as we shape our future.

We want to make a positive contribution to our community and the world. This trip to India will allow us to broaden our horizons of the infinite possibilities available especially in terms of serving others.

Vrindavan is home today to an extremely diverse demographic of renunciates, devotees, business people, spiritual leaders, academics, alternative and allopathic doctors, NGOs, entrepreneurs, digital specialists, artists and musicians etc. –  all contributing to an ever-expanding international community .

While in Vrindavan, we will participate in local activities including discussions with youth and community group leaders, as well as undertake and participate in food distribution programs for widows, single mothers, children and the homeless.

Everything we do counts – big or small. If you feel inspired to support us we would be extremely grateful as it would serve as lifelong encouragement!

I just found this when watching Antony Brennon’s Iskcon Internet News.

Antony was doing some articles for our local New Govardhana temple construction and our Gurukula‘s plans to go Vrndavana.  (There is a Go Fund Me page for our Gurukula’s trip so please go and donate.)

This new channel – Spirit Matters – has been set up by a local Kiwi film maker (and by the looks of the couple videos I’ve seen, with a lot of professional support).  From what I’ve seen, it is raising the bar for internet preaching and this sort of effort deserves more attention.  Please like, share, subscribe (the youtube that is, this blog also if you feel merciful hehe).  Our Krishna Consciousness movement needs to make a stand for quality, professional, friendly propaganda.  Thanks for the read.  Hare Krishna.
