A wicked overlord beckons his stunted minions to him. He selects the fortunate one, the one chosen to die for a greater cause. The underling's vulnerable and tortured cries must lure the Ancient One from beyond the Void, so that the magician might request the cure for his last remaining human frailties.

Appearing before the warlock, the Evil from Beyond the Void savagely destroyed the offering in violent sexual conquest. As the minion's last parts were defiled and then consumed, the magician hears a voice in his mind, like the sound of a thousand trumpets. "DEATH IS THE ONLY ANSWER TO YOUR SUFFERING" thundered the voice, completely rending the warlock's last sanity with it's power of grim Truth. The mind of the conjurer collapsed, and his body crumpled to the floor. The candles blew out, and all through the subterranean chamber echoed the noises of Vorum's Poisoned Void.

Vorum play fast, dark, ugly death metal. They hail from Finland and keep things suitably blasphemous, wretched, and rotten. They are relatively new, the Encyclopedia dating their origin to 2008, and having kicked around a bit before that as another band starting in 2006. They also have excellent songwriting abilities - like some sick-fuck taxidermist, they have taken the limbs from multiple unholy entities, and stitched together one messed-up, mighty death metal creature. YEAR ZERO

...is the only good song from the new Ghost album. It's a shame, but I feel like Opus Eponymous will be the only truly classic Ghost album. I hope they have some of that major label $$$$$$$$ left over! Watch "Year Zero" (UNCENSORED VERSION, fuck that pussy YouTube-censored crap) after the jump!

Anyway, if you somehow didn't know, Ghost, or "Ghost B.C" in the United States, is an anonymous Swedish band, which has a classic debut album Opus Eponymous. That album is a masterful, catchy pop-tribute to Mercyful Fate and Blue Oyster Cult. Riffs and melodies galore. The second album doesn't seem to have much in way of riffs, instead focusing on experimenting with different arrangements and techniques, which may be cool to some, but not to me.

Infestissumam 2013 - I think this album is garbage and couldn't recommend it to a deaf person.

Opus Eponymous 2010 (2011 in US) - this album is a modern-day classic, and will be listened to for generations.
