Welcome to our website. Metal detector fever is that very exciting and growing hobby of using a metal detector to find valuable items that have been either lost or hidden.

Here you will be able to find suppliers of all types of metal detectors in the type and price range you need to make your hobby more enjoyable.

With a variety of choices and manufacturers, you will be able to choose a metal detector that fits your exact needs. Whether you are a beginner just wanting to hunt for coins in the local park or if you are more experienced and need a metal detector with more advanced technology, you will find it here.

Coin shooting is the most popular activity using a metal detector. Coin shooting is looking for coins after events where many people gather like a sports event, holiday gathering or any outdoors social event. Whole families can enjoy a fun filled day searching for coins. Local parks, playgrounds and schoolyards are excellent places for coin shooting.

The more serious coin shooters hunt strictly for older, more valuable coins. They will spend many hours in libraries and historical society archives doing research to find long lost sites with potential to find historical and collectible coins. Old churchyards, dried up swimming holes and vacant fields that once held carnivals, revivals and fairs long ago are great places to look where older coins are sure to be found.

Relic hunting is also very popular. Relic hunting is very similar to coin shooting except that hunters search for any type of historic metal artifacts, including coins. Bullets, gun parts, buttons, buckles, knives and axe heads are only a very small sampling of such items found. Again, research into finding long lost ghost towns, old forts and military camps as well as battlefields make sure that these places are ripe with such historic finds.

Beach combing with metal detectors is an excellent way to find coins, jewelry and other items lost by visitors to the beach. Just by watching where the most people congregate at beaches greatly increases the chances of finding that lost watch or gold ring.

Dedicated beach hunters study the tides for the best times to hunt. Surveying beach erosion helps when hunting for very old items in places that people once lived many years ago.

Beach hunters on the east coast are still finding pieces of eight and ancient relics on the beaches washed up from wooden ships that were sunk hundreds of years ago by hurricanes and pirates.

Some beach combers use waterproof metal detectors and scuba gear in deeper water to hunt for jewelry that was lost and then pulled into the ocean by the tides. The more adventurous hunters search for silver and gold coins scattered by the tides, lost from the illusive sunken treasure ship off the coastlines.

Gold prospecting with a special metal detector built just for finding gold, has found many a gold nugget and even gold veins for the very lucky metal detectorist.

Metal detectors come in all shapes, sizes and price ranges. Starting as low as $19.95 for kid’s and beginner metal detector kits, all the way into the thousand dollar range, you can find the metal detector that’s just right for you.

On this website you will find some of the most popular metal detector manufacturers in the industry. Here, you will find Minelab, Garrett’s and others, to manufacturers of metal detector headphones and accessories.

Join the crowd. Metal detecting is a fun and healthy hobby for the whole family. It gets you out in nature, lets you breathe the fresh air and fills your pockets with lost or hidden treasure!

The Whites metal detector was the offspring of Ken White, Sr. who, in 1950 designed and built a Geiger Counter at the height of the uranium craze. White successfully manufactured them until 1958 when the U.S. government suddenly announced that it would no longer purchase uranium. Having the facilities and employees in place, White was persuaded to build a metal detector instead and soon orders started to pour in.

White’s Electronics continued to grow and is now a world leader in the manufacture and design of metal detectors. As technology changed in the electronics industry, White’s technology kept up with the change. Vacuum tubes were replaced by state of the art computer technology. Numerous patents were taken out for White’s sophisticated computer driven metal detectors.

The Whites DFX Spectrum E Series Metal Detector is only one of their top of the line models.
The DFX has multiple frequency operation which allows you to hunt in 3 kHz, 15 kHz, or use both frequencies simultaneously. It uses the White’s 9 Turn-on-and-Go! Programs- ready to hunt right out of the box.

You may use the “Best Data” displays for the most reliable target info, or use “Correlate” to reject iron and other questionable targets. Or, you can use the pro-designed programs or erase them and create, name and store your own custom metal detector programs.
Popular adjustments include Tone I.D., Sweep Speed, Silent Search, Fade Rate, Recovery Speed, Block Edit, Auto Trac® Speed and more.

The high-definition, extended temperature, back-lit display makes it easier to see, with double clock speed for very fast target response.
You can’t miss with the bold VDI numbers read out alongside target icons, and White’s exclusive Signagraph®. Then, you can just flip the trigger, activate the depth screen and see how deep to dig.

The DFX utilizes a powerful, waterproof 9″ search coil for maximum depth and versatility.

For power, the DFX uses a Slide-in Nicad Battery System for up to 15 hrs. of power-packed metal detector hunting on a single charge.

Whether you are detecting in highly mineralized ground or saltwater beaches, you will not be disappointed when using the Bounty Hunter Tracker IV.

This model is so efficient and user friendly that you won’t have to do any adjustments to the circuitry to find the treasure you are looking for. All Bounty Hunter metal detectors are lightweight and ergonomically designed for ease-of-use and comfortable for many hours of productive treasure hunting.

The standard motion all-metal mode detects all metals, while the discrimination control eliminates iron and other unwanted metallic items. The Tracker IV has a two-tone audio signal that helps to distinguish between valuable metals like gold and silver from undesirable metals like iron and aluminum. It utilizes an intensity meter as its visual target system. And, it also has a ¼ inch headphone jack that’s compatible with most headphones for privacy while detecting or for noisy areas and will extend battery life. And, like all Bounty Hunter metal detectors, it runs on two 9-volt batteries

The search coil is an 8″ open style model which allows greater depth detection as well as easier pinpointing. The depth detection is excellent. It will find coin sized object up to 8 inches and will find large objects up to 3 feet in depth. The coil and stem are waterproof and can be used to detect damp grass or submerged for shallow water hunting. The coil is also interchangeable with other Bounty Hunter coils for different search application.

The Bounter Hunter TRACKER IV metal detector is an excellent detector for both beginning and experienced metal detectorists.
