First you played a part in that craze of poker which saw middle schoolers forfeiting their lunches in exchange to play texas hold em' at their lunch tables, by broadcasting the World Series of Poker in prime time on ESPN. I always thought this type of stuff should be relegated to ESPN2 in the afternoon mixed up with some 1993 NBA highlight show. I let that slide by simply choosing to watch another channel, prehaps a movie or some law & order (which only have commercials every 6.5 minutes). Now I can't let this slide, as you have decided to double up your World Series servings by having the aforementioned, and now Word Series of Darts (!?!?!?), BOTH in prime time?!?! Lets just add Bowling to that mix and maybe some World Series of Golden Tee competitions live from an Alabama watering hole and I won't ever need another channel on my TV. I really want to know the demographics who are enticed by the fact they can watch Darts on TV, I'm sure they are top notch members of society that also buy ESPN mobile, ESPN gatorade, ESPN board games. Oh and if you say these are legit 'sports' how come they don't get a peep of coverage on sport center.. (DEAR GOD DON'T ACTUALLY COVER THEM ON THERE.).

I don’t like some shit that he do, I’m a democrat all day. But at the end of the day, this dude, he a gorilla. He goin’ against these other muthafuckas and he trying to win. He trying to get that oil. But whatever he trying to get, he trying to put it over here. They tell people “The Hurricane is coming.” Is it his fault that you didn’t leave? I don’t understand that. Now I think more rappers should be aware of whats going on and political, but don't stand up for a president if you are gonna say fuck him in the end, it dosen't make much sense. I know very few people who think Bush was not involved in the whole Katrina fiasco, Scrappy being one of them now I guess.

Recently I have really been into watching documentaries, one of the last I've seen is 'The Untold Story of Emmett Louis Till', it goes into great depths of a senseless murder of a 13 year old, Emmett Till in racist Mississippi. I've never heard of this event before Kanye name dropped him in his 'Through the Wire' track. The whole event makes you wonder how anyone could have so much hate to anyone let alone a kid, even if you don't watch the movie do a google image search Emmett Louis Till to see what the south was about only 50 years ago, I'm sure you will be disgusted as I was.

The Return Of Doctor Octagon, Chapter 8: Dj ESE & Bisc1 "Perfect World" (Life During Wartime Remix)

Rob Sonic, Mike Relm, The Gray Kid and the staff of OCD stood behind the front door staring at it. Behind them, staring along with them via webcam were the other members of the Decipher project. It was time for an epic battle, and they all knew it. They wanted to believe from everything that had happened that Dr. Octagon was trying to present mankind a path to a better world, and this pesky alien tribe of Gorillas was trying to prevent him, and so they must fight. But was it all that simple? The facts seemed so confusing. Yet, they knew the time had come...

Rob clutched his sledgehammer tighter. Mike slowly twisted his nunchuks. Gray Kid slipped his razor-edged money clips out of his pocket, into his hands. Behind them, the monitor screens stared back at the scene, but the people behind had disappeared.

Rob kicked open the door, and the battalion of vigilantes stormed the yard outside only to be greeted by the sweltering stillness of a late Los Angeles evening. No Gorillas in sight. Only darkness. Silence.

They headed to the curb and looked down the street to the west, into the ocean. A faint rumble could be heard as something emerged on the horizon. Hummers. Big, huge, gigantic hummers.

Disciple 908 was right: the Gorillas were headed straight for OCD HQ, presumably for the master recording in the mp3 player that appeared mysteriously eight weeks ago. The Decipher crew had not only lead the Gorillas right to it, but had now been drawn out, like pawns in a chess game, away from the very item they have sworn to protect. Mike Relm and Gray Kid raced back inside the building to retrieve the mp3 player and keep it guarded. Rob Sonic and OCD staff stood ready to face the oncoming onslaught when gusts of wind picked up around them.

Looking up, they saw a stealth bomber arriving, hovering high above them. Small figures jumped out of the airplane and sped toward the ground with jetpacks. Rob gave a sigh of relief when he realizes that its members of the Money Fight and Cassettes Won't Listen. As Drake landed, he ran to Rob and explained, "That's Kid Loco's plane. He powers it with some strong skunk... damn that plane flies high and light!"

With the reinforcements, the Decipher crew's morale surged and they gathered to barricade the building. The Hummers approached closer and closer. The crew held their positions. The first Hummer screeched to a halt in front of the building. The crew held their positions. The front doors opened... and out popped a brown hi-top sneaker with neon blue stripes. It wasn't Gorillas - it was DJ Ese and Bisc1 of Embedded Music.

"We don't have much time," announced Ese. "My guy's got a pressing plant locked down in Simi Valley - let's get the masters there and dupe Dr. Octagon's message a.s.a.p. With packaging, we can flood the streets with them in a few days. That's going to be the only way we can protect ourselves from the Gorillas." With cheers of approval, everyone piled into the Hummers as fast as they could. At last, the Decipher crew could commit, with fair certainty, that Dr. Octagon's message was good, no longer evil, and must be disseminated widely towards the betterment of the world.

As they drove off, a lowly intern in the back of the last Hummer in the caravan, turned to look out the back window at the OCD HQ building for one last time. He gasped; "who is that boney figure on the rooftop? He's wearing a labcoat with a stethoscope around his neck, and seems to be holding the head of some black hairy creature in his hand." The intern shook his head and looked again...

Dr. Octagon had disappeared...

So I was over at SpineMagazine and they posted a new Rampage (long time Flipmode Squad homie) track off of his new album, the track is called
I'm Rollin With You,
in an interview when the said song is asked about...

Nobodysmiling.com : A lot of people are saying you don’t need to pay excessive amounts for money for beats; did you have to pay big bucks for the Neptunes beat?

Rampage : Nah. Sometimes I just don’t pay nothing for beats. I just make sure they get it on their publishing.

So what is the damn point you ask? Well it is very simple listen here, he used a 5 year old Backstreet Boys track and is either trying to pull a fast one making it seem he is down with the neptunes (he even shouts out them on the track), which is pretty sad when it looks like Rampage probably acquired the beat without even working directly with the neptunes. Or if he did work with the neptunes, why would you use a 5 year old beat? Or did the neptunes try to rip off Rampage (least likely IMO). Regardless why would you put this on a retail album? This shit should stick to mixtapes, where I wouldn't have any problem with it. Any Insight folks?

So The Knickerbockers have fired Larry Brown, that should kind of irk you, but the fact Isaiah Thomas will become coach should force any Knicks fan to jump off the Brooklyn Bridge. With the roster they got now they are starting to look like Trailblazers of the early 00s, a bunch of flashy names but nothing else, they are a team that is Stackhoused (a bunch of scorers who are in the point of their careers where they can only benefit a team by playing 20 minutes and coming off the bench). It has been proven that Isaiah can't run shit, not the Raptors, not the Pacers and def. not the CBA. He replaces a man who in 30+ years has never left a team with a losing record, untill now that is. I don't feel bad for Larry Brown though, he will be getting fat stacks of paper from the Knicks for plain ice cold chillin.

The Return Of Doctor Octagon, Chapter 7: Catchdubs "Al Green" (Chapter 2, Verse 908 Remix)

OCD International HQ

Rob Sonic sat around the OCD HQ with a cup of coffee in front of him, As he slowly poured a healthy serving of whiskey into it, he looked around him. Mike Relmn, Gray Kid, along with the OCD staff sat to his left while on monitors to his right were the people of the Money Fight, Cassettes Won't Listen and Kid Loco (whose transmission looked smoky at best.) All Rob could think was, "how the fuck did I get into this?"

It had all been pretty much pieced together. The Gorilla who had come after Sonic and Loco was the evil mastermind behind all this. It was somehow connected to the clones that had helped destroyed TMF's home planet, but they were still unsure what that connection was. And that damn package was still flashing 06272006 and no one had been able to stop it. Ok, maybe there were a few things to figure out.

Sonic knew he was at least safe and he had a plan. Well, he had a dream. A dream with a man dressed in a hooded robe. The man had appeared in a yellow robe in the center of Sonic's room with a hood covering most of his head with number 908 emblazed across the front. On the back of the robe in big black letters, were the letters AG.

"Greetings. I am a disciple from the house of AG. We are an ancient society whose sole purpose is to help in times of need before great battles. You are going to war Rob Sonic. The Gorilla that chased you has been responsible for destroying countless worlds all over this galaxy. They were the ones that invented the cloning technology that was used to create the Dr Octagon clones. What Cassettes Won't Listen thought were Aliens, were actually The Gorillas, who lose the ability to retain their body hair in space.

OCD had done everything right. But someone made a fatal mistake. You. You think you lost The Gorilla? You lead him right to the source. He knows exactly where you are, and he is planning to destroy OCD HQ and steal the good Doctor's package before the world can hear his message. This cannot happen. You must fight. You must save the planet. It is up to you."

With that, Rob had awoken from his dream to find a dark room and a bad headache. As he fumbled for the lights, he found a space raygun and a training tape with the word Disciple 908 imprinted on it.

As Sonic relayed this to the stunned table around him, he picked up the space gun and pressed play on the training tape. As the beats from the House of AG dropped in, he looked around the table and told them:

"Pack yo shit. We going to war. Suckahs."

What up everyone, Back on May 15th I was fortunate to see the Clipse and Dogg Pound open up for Ice Cube, now after fixing my shitty internet, I was finally able to upload the concert video to share.

First off, no doubt the Clipse are one of my favorite acts in the game right now, their time on the stage was maybe 20 minutes or so but every single minute was hot, I would pay a lot to see a full set of theirs, see here as they do their classic track, Grindin':

Before this following clip I wasn't sure if Ice Cube was still hungry to be a rapper, and should stick to doing movies, boy was I wrong, the energy he showed on that night was some of the best I've ever seen from any rap acts live, Also it should be noted that he chose to do a lot of his classic shit over cuts off his new album. As he left the stage he said he'd be back this summer with Snoop, if it is back at 9:30 I am so there. Note: The guy yelling in the background was a dude next to me, trashed out of his mind, he yelled the WHOLE night, even got the attention of WC during an interlude, it was hillarious.

Dr. Octagon- Chapter 6

Part 6 is a little late because your boy was on vacation, now I'm back fulltime and I'm not going ANYWHERE.

The Return Of Doctor Octagon, Chapter 6: Kid Loco in the Return of "A Gorilla Driving A Pick-Up Truck" (Banana Loco Mix)

-Paris, France; at a streetside cafe on the wrong side of the river Seine, Kid Loco sips an aperitif while staring intently at his laptop screen, He is reviewing updates on the Decipher project from OCD HQ and he can't believe what he's reading. A planet destroyed by Dr. Octagon clones; fellow decipherers gone delusional and then cured by a mysterious cure; abducted hackers claiming to have met the real Dr. Octagon years ago; gorillas driving pick up trucks… How do all these events fit in with each other? What does it all mean?

Kid Loco inhales deeply and looks skyward. How can he, a hopeless romantic, an urban artist raised on the boulevards of Paris, be expected to wrap his head around these seemingly inexplicable ongoings in the U.S.? Whatever's going on there, may soon spread everywhere. He knows if he just concentrates and focuses, maybe, just maybe, he can come up with the missing link to tie it all together.

He reaches into his pockets and pulls out a smooth-rolled blunt of rare Pakistani hashish – Kid Loco's secret psychic weapon that he likes to call the Three Feet High Reefer. He lights it up, puffs it up, closes his eyes and prepares to Zen out. His dubbed out re-interpretation of "A Gorilla Driving A Pick-Up Truck (Banana Loco Mix)" cues itself onto his mp3 playlist.

Kid Loco lets his mind do the walking, through each of the tracks on the Dr. Octagon recording. It sounds almost as if the Dr. Octagon on this new recording is not quite the same man (creature?) that produced the perverted Dr. Octagynaecologist 10 years ago. As the purple haze thickens, Loco realizes that "Trees" is clearly a warning on the dangers of pollution. We know the Earth's environment generally disagreed with Dr. Octagon, turning his skin "green and silver, warhead lookin' mean". Loco smacks his lips to the sweet, sticky fumes and thinks about the lyrics on "Ants", where the Doctor is above the clouds, looking down on humans tiny as ants. Perhaps, this is a new perspective to help us remember how ephemeral our existence is?

There's "Perfect World", where Octagon declares, "Men with suits & ties sitting call the shots from a chair / Hummers comin' at night with dark light / More drama looking thru the sun roof at a stealth bomber." With the political messages behind "Jumpstart" and "Eat It", Octagon demonstrates a certain sympathy for the human race, instead of the self-destructive tendencies he displayed previously. Has the Doctor been reborn? Is he offering us a key to ending suffering and pestilence? Is this recording the ying to Dr. Octagynaecologist's yang? Then… maybe the foul circumstances surrounding this recording have more to do with someone trying to prevent Dr. Octagon from succeeding in our salvation?

As the sweet, sticky fumes subside, a green Chevy pick-up truck rolls to an abrupt stop on the curb, directly in front of Kid Loco. A huge, hairy ape in a spacesuit wrestles the door open. He steps out, stretches his arms and legs, and purveys the scene. He spots Kid Loco, walks over to him, and takes a seat. He speaks in a low, gruff voice.

Gorilla: "So, Kid Loco. You think you have it all figured out, huh?"
Kid Loco: "Why are you trying to stop Dr. Octagon?"

The gorilla guffaws, snorting through his enormous nostrils. He shoots Kid Loco an evil grin, and in a sudden flash he's gone. Only later does Kid Loco realize that the gorilla took off with the quarter ounce of hash he had neatly tucked away in his jacket pocket. "Merde", Kid Loco shouts furiously; "We are going to find you, monkey. And we are going to get to the bottom of this."

The Return Of Doctor Octagon, Chapter 5: Cassettes Won't Listen- "Aliens (Hearing Aid Remix)"

OCD International HQ   

A red light blinks on the machine. As play is pressed, a frantic message comes over sound system.

"I just got chased by a freakin' gorilla in a pick up truck. What's going on? Doesn't feel right. I'm coming to L.A. to get to the bottom of this. Sonic out."

The staff at OCD Headquarters had heard rumors that something was happening on the east coast and they had sent out a crack team of experts to investigate. Entrusted with the cure provided by The Money Fight, they knew they could be of great assistance. Gray Kid and Mike Relm were all but recovered and ready to get back to deciphering the strange messages received from Dr. Octagon.

There had been some changes to the original package they received. It had begun to blink "06272006" repeatedly and to the dismay of their hackers, they had not been able to figure out this new level to the mystery. Things were stable, yet not moving forward. Frustrated, the lead hacker sat down over the monitors to give it one more try.

While working through algorithms, polyrhythms and audiological historical charts, the monitor began to shimmy, shake and worm out of focus. The screen flashed "Cassettes Won't Listen" over and over till it went blank. When it came back, a bearded man in glasses had replaced the charts in front of him. As the man began to speak, it seemed like the voice was coming from inside the hacker's head.

I am Cassettes Won't Listen. I have hacked into your system and have been following your progress on The Return Dr. Octagon. I waited to reveal myself until I knew you were good people and could be trusted. I know you are trying to decipher what he sent you and I think I may be of some assistance.

About 8 years ago, along with 5 friends, I was abducted. We were tortured, cloned and kept in isolation. Of the 6 of us, two survived. More details have come out from the shooting of Beanie Sigel, who some claim was a publicity stunt (what does have to publicize about right now??), regardless, him asking "know who I am?" got him shot AFTER he gave up his ice. Which was worth 75 thousand, yet he was rolling in an Chevy Impala which I believe goes for 20k or so, as former Beanie nemesis-Jada would say "Why?".

I know you do he was singing some kiddie ass shit in the late 90s and was on that Hardball soundtrack (which was able to bring together a lot of the rappers with the name Lil XXXXX.. Bow Wow, Wayne, Zane (Oh where have thou gone?))

now it looks like as if his career has taken him to a whole new level.. singing in front of bars..with KOCH banners in the background.

It kind of looks as if he just came up to the bar with his own mic and started singing and no one paid any attention to him.

So another as I was watching TV post, I was watching the VH1 Rock Honors special yesterday and I noticed one interesting thing, there have been 2 Hip Hop Honors shows but the budget for the Rock Honors show was bigger than both hip hop shows combined times three, they really went all out. You can tell the production was a lot more dedicated to this then the hip hop version of the special, anyway just something of note. Even the two websites tell the whole story. Dr. Octagon - Chapter 4

Here we reach the halfway point with Chapter 4, enjoy!

The Setting:
3 AM, A wet, but warm late night, or should we say early morn, in the Bronx. Def Jukie Rob Sonic finds himself, as he has many times, at his favorite joint, The Telicatessen. His head in his hands, elbows on the table, over a cup of the blackest cup of Joe this side of 110th Street, he recounts the events to the evening.

Earlier That Night:
A blowout party downtown was taking place in the honor of slain sucker MCs. Rob place at the bar was firmly in place when a hand drops on his left shoulder. As he turns to find no one there he returns face forward to a small box on the bar. “What the … “

The box reads “for your eyes only.” He expects it’s a joke played on him and decides to pause on the opening.

Back at The Telicatessen:
A strange headache has descended on Rob by this point and the short stack with sausage hasn’t helped the cause. A solid stroke of the cloth napkin to clean his lips and leaves his staring back at the mysterious box. “Screw it …” he mumbles to himself as he grabs the knife beside him, gives the box a shake and digs in. The contents reveal two things; a CD burn labeled “Dr Octagon” with a sharpie and a note from OCD saying:

“This is what I wanted you to hear.”

“What ever…” He says to himself as he drops two Lincolns on the table face down and nods to the cute waitress behind the counter.

As Rob looks up and head to the door he swears he see from the corner of his eye two beady eyes glowing green through the window. But it’s late and he plays it off to exhaustion.

On the way to the car an eerie feeling of being followed consumes him. Nothing but shadows behind him yet still the feeling persists. His pace quickens… Movement to his right… Shuffles heard to the left … and a strange musty smell floats in the air. He darts to the car and locks the door with a feeling of momentary safety.

The disc still in hand, he slips it in the player and kicks on the ignition. The track begins, the gas peddle descends and he pulls off. Soon after Rob feels a sharp shock as his car is bumped from behind. Looking in the rearview mirrors, he sees a green pick up truck, just inches behind him. A large, dark, muscle-bound figure is behind the wheels. The pickup drops back and smashes them again. This time, a tail light is broken off. Rob expels expletives “What the F#@k!”

Rob accelerates, pushing 70 mph, trying to escape this madman insisting on a dangerous high-speed chase. The truck changes left, then right, then back again trying to overtake Rob’s vehicle. Rob glances at the gas tank gauge on his dashboard - It’s getting close to empty. Rob is surprised; he distinctly remembers filling up just earlier that day. Rob searches for a truck stop but there doesn’t seem to be any in sight. Bam! The truck hits him again.

He turns back…
“ What The …!? Is that a gorilla?”

I was flipping through channels and I came across Spike TV, and they had some wrestling on (I used to be a big fan of wrestling in my early teens, in the late 90s), I saw a farmilar face but something was wrong, but I wasn't sure..then I realized what the hell was wrong they had a segment with a wrestler wearing BLACKFACE, are you fucking kidding that in the year 2006 this is viewed acceptable? Where the hell is Spike TVs Standards & Practices lawyers?? If it was some other group of people being disrespected someone would have a big enough problem that it wouldn't air. Everyone involved with this travesty from the racists that wrote the storyline to the wrestlers that apparenlty have no self-value. If I was a wrestler, even if it was my only way to make a living and I was instructed to do something like this I would be leave. I wonder what the Black wrestlers of this company thought when they saw this?
